Held once a year on the day of the Fall Equinox, The Circuit Circus was originally a holiday dedicated to the beginning of Fall. Once known as the “Autumn Commencement,” it was a night of celebration that bid farewell to Summer and welcomed the start of Fall. It began at sunset and ran until sunrise, encouraging people to partake in fun and cultural ceremonies as they prepared themselves for the season of harvest. It was a tradition that dated back hundreds of years. The famous firework displays held on this night made Kogane the envy of Johto; but, it started to lose traction in recent years.

As Kogane City modernized, such traditional festivals fell out of favor–but the denizens of the city still wanted an excuse to party. The city, seeking an opportunity to re-imagine their outdated celebration, devised a plan.

Five years ago, on the last known Autumn Commencement, the city debuted the Magnet Train to the world and forever re-branded their holiday. The Circuit Circus was born. Now, every year, Kogane City hosts a night of festivities and excitement to celebrate the modernization of their city. Instead of celebrating the transition of seasons, the city now celebrates their transition towards a more modern society. The Magnet Train has become a symbol of their progress.


To commemorate the fifth anniversary of the Magnet Train, the legendary Subway Bosses from Unova have promised to make an appearance. With their arrival comes the promise of something that has never been done in Johto–something that is exclusive to the night of the festival. Rumors began to circulate the moment the news was announced... and the Magnet Train was shut down as it underwent strange modifications for the festival.

When the truth was revealed, tickets to the festival sold out. Just as people suspected, the Magnet Train had been altered. Special cars were designed to match the durability and sturdiness of the Subway Trains from Unova–these additions meant that the Magnet Train could now host Pokemon Battles, if only for a single night.

As some of the most renown enthusiasts of all things that involve trains and battling, the brothers Kudari and Nobori have promised the Trainers of the Johto a chance to experience the Battle Subway for themselves–for one night only. Test your mettle and try to overcome the challenges that await you. Ride in a train that moves faster than you can comprehend as it zips along the track from Johto to Kanto, all in the blink of an eye as battles unfold around you!

For those that fail the challenge, kick back and enjoy the ride. The train will pull back into Kogane right as the festival ends at 6am.


For those not interested in battling, the event will also host a wide variety of attractions. Carnival rides have been erected by the boardwalk. Stalls and vendors will line the streets. For those that want to try their luck, the various carnival games can reward participants with prizes. People often walk away from these stands with goods that may only be found in the wilds. Fossils, Stones, and other rare artifacts are not unusual for someone that pushes their luck.

Anything that you can imagine, the Circuit Circus will have waiting for you! While the original message of the holiday has been forgone, hints of the coming Autumn are on display. Lanterns hanging from street corners are adorned with leaves. Citizens of Kogane will choose to dress in elaborate outfits with colors that will match the coming season. The neon-light displays that can be found around the city often glow a welcoming orange to please onlookers.


People would be allowed to challenge the Battle Subway in groups of THREE. In these groups, all trainers are allowed to bring three pokemon. These three pokemon must have an average level that is within a five-level range of the other members of your group, to ensure that the battles are balanced to everyone's skill level. All challenges for the Magnet Train must have the [TRAIN] tag in the thread title. Furthermore, no items are allowed!

Those that do not wish to participate in the battling can opt for the [EVENT] tag. Threads with the [EVENT] tag can be as large as someone wishes them to be (but keep it reasonable, ppl). Please note that your character can only pick ONE activity for the night, not two. If you have one of your characters pick the train, they will not enjoy the other activities.

Challengers will go through a [REDACTED] number of combat rounds before the finale. When the finale is activated, all cars will be open and all groups can progress to the engineer's cabin and await their chance to challenge the legendary Subway Bosses.

Only one character per user can take on the Subway challenge, so choose wisely! If you have multiple characters, one is allowed to pick the train while the others can enjoy the festival.

I know I am like a day late but Oh Whale. The thread is now considered closed and the voting poll is open to begin. I will keep the poll open for only a few days (i'd rather not put a date on this one ) and the winner will be announced soon after. As soon as the winner is decided, staff and the winning member will immediately start working on the introduction of the new event AS SOON AS THE PREVIOUS EVENTS ARE FINISHED. I know that the Mirage Island threads are taking alot out of people since a few members have been slow with posts, so staff will try to continue them the best we can for a solid conclusion and not one that is sloppy and unsatisfying.

Because this event was chosen by you, the public, it should be a smashing success no? There will obviously be rules in place to make sure the execution of the event goes smoothly, seeing as how we all want the juicy rewards at the end.

Speaking of rewards, the winner of this creation will receive an award, as well as all the participants, however the given rewards will be stated AFTER the winner is chosen, so we don't have any bias voting.
