For those who desire to become Top Coordintors[attr="class","Vgeninside"]
[attr="class","Vgentext"]
Pokemon Contests are a Coordinator's pride and joy. The art of creative battling fuels their desire to shine beautifully on stage and off. Coordinators are regarded as unique individuals with a burning passion to become the next Top Coordinator, which is the opposition of Champion, of the Grand Festival. Many who have come to the Johto region are here in order to compete toward the chance of earning five ribbons, which are a requirement in order to enter the Grand Festival. It is a rule that, the first chosen four to earn all five ribbons will be chosen to fight against one another at the Grand Festival. The one to come out on top will be crowned Top Coordinator of Johto!
[break][break]
Composed of two individuals rounds. Normally, depending upon the number that join, it is three. The first round consists of a solo performance, the next a battle. But that is only when the number of sign-ups are four, if more then four, such as six, a number of only four contestants may move into the next round. Whereas, after the second round, which is usually the battle portion, the individuals to win will be chosen as the final contestants; who, will which, face off against one another in order to earn the ribbon of that specific Contest. Below you will find an in depth explanation between the Performance Round and the Battle Round.
[break][break]
Seen as the Introduction Round. It is just as the name is stated, this is the round where style is definitely important. The judges wish to see the performers incorporate creativity as well as stick to the theme of that specific contest. It is important toward your scoring in order to move to the next round. People who have the type advantage to match the theme, such as a Summer Theme, where a fire-type and water-type would shine brilliantly, it is possible to gain a few brownie points in order to obtain the desired points needed to move on. Through the execution of moves to combinations the next, anyone can shine brilliantly upon stage with just the right amount of style and skill.
[break][break]
Normally a fan's favorite. The Battle Round is what will always come after the first round of performances. It is where Coordinators compete in Pokemon battles while continuing to show off their Pokemon's style and skill. Each battle will usually have a specified duration and the object of the battle is to decrease the opponent's points, or rather appeal. Coordinators lose points when the following occurs: their Pokemon are hit by an attack, when their Pokemon's attack fails, when the opponent's Pokemon performs a particularly appealing move, or when the opponent's Pokemon uses their Pokemon's attack to its own advantage. Of course, don't forget, that this should all be done in style for this is an important portion to judge. A battle can also end when one of the Pokemon is unable to battle, which is called "Battle Off" by the judges. In this case, the Coordinator with the remaining Pokemon is declared the winner.
