The soft melody in the air was quickly picked up by his Mightyena, and then Kyle. It was a strange tune to be heard inside a rather empty place where he'd expect grunts of the Pokemon living in the place, or even dead silence, rather than a calming sound. Strangely enough, it got to Kyle's nerves. Looking to his Mightyena for security, he'd notice that the Dark-type had his eyes straight ahead, his stance steady and unmoving. Comforted by his Pokemon's action, Kyle finally decided to take a look at the culprit.

Flashing a light towards the source of the sound, they seemed to have stumbled upon a Chimecho. It's delicate features made it appear to be fragile, though that wasn't to say that the Pokemon did not have the looks to appear aesthetic in Kyle's view. It was just a misfortune for the little Psychic-type that Kyle wasn't interested in it at that moment, and worse, he was in a mood to abhor every Psychic-type he sees for the day.

"Bite."

The command came in with rather cold tone, with Kyle uttering the word as soon as he saw the Pokemon's appearance. Poochy 2 moved in accordance though, wasting no time thinking about the consequences of rushing in blindly against the Psychic-type. His typing allowed him to ignore the Pokemon's strongest attacks anyways, and so he did not have any qualms with receiving heavy blows from the rather weak Pokemon.

The Chimecho tried to move itself back to dodge the attack, though its tail(?) did not manage to move accordingly as its light weight brought it fluttering in the air, lagging enough for Poochy 2 to reach it with its fangs and throw the Psychic-type in the air. Settling herself in the air, the Chimecho released a low sound, the type to dissuade the Mightyena from hitting it at full force perhaps as its last form of self-defense as it knew it wouldn't match against the Dark-type well.

"Snarl."

The sound was quickly drowned by Poochy 2, releasing a much more intimidating sound back at the Chimecho. The sound waves emitted by the Mightyena eventually managed to throw the Psychic-type in the air and its light weight made it unable to resist the stronger force, bringing it to levitate aimlessly into the darkness.

He supposed that he really shouldn't be using sound-based moves within the ruins since they do tend to echo within the confines of the walls. As soon as the Chimecho was blown away by Poochy 2's Snarl, Kyle already got the satisfaction of defeating a Psychic-type and was ready to get back home. There was no more reason to stay unless they were really keen on training his Mightyena against the wild Pokemon, which probably inevitable now that they made enough disturbance in the air.

"Should we leave?" he'd ask his Mightyena, who only cocked his head to the side, unable to get what his trainer was trying to imply. Clearing his throat, he changed his argument from a question to a definite statement. "We're leaving."

Just as they turned around to head back to the exit, Kyle had spotted a Baltoy that suddenly appeared on the path behind them. He was unsure of where it came from, but it did not seem aggressive enough. Kyle was content to just leave it and walk past the Baltoy had Poochy 2 not notice the sudden change in behavior of the Clay Doll Pokemon.

Suddenly opening with a Snarl, Poochy 2 directed his attack to the Baltoy. The sudden action that his Pokemon took got Kyle to quickly turn around and seeing the Baltoy start to glow in an eerie light. They were in a confined space, and Kyle knew that he'd rather have an annoying echo than an explosion. "Roar!" was the command he had ordered in his heightened state, wanting to simply put as much distance from the Baltoy and them.

Poochy 2 complied, inhaling as much air before blasting a Roar at the wild Pokemon's direction. The move would force the Pokemon away, but with the Selfdestruct in sequence, the explosion that happens afterwards was unavoidable. It had enough force to blow Poochy 2 back, and along with it, damage to structure of the old ruins.

"You alright?"

Having been blown away by the explosion, the dust that had accumulated over the years had lingered in the air, covering the area in a thick smokescreen. Kyle had only managed to spot his Mightyena's figure, who stood up on its legs and shook the dirt from his fur soon afterwards. Not that it had helped though when the environment still wasn't clear of any contaminants that would simply dirty his fur again.

"We're leaving. I don't want to stay here when there's exploding Baltoys around."

Kyle started pacing back to the entrance, expecting his Mightyena to follow after him, which Poochy 2 thankfully did. They had already done what Kyle wanted to do, and even if the Baltoy did not blow up, they would've been on the way to leave anyways. As they went along the walls, using it as a means of guiding them along the halls since the flashlight wouldn't have the same effect in a cloud of dust, they had spotted a figure. Kyle could only assume it was a Psychic-type.

"Guess we have time to waste. Whatever it is, use Bite."

Lunging towards the figure, the Mightyena went in with his fangs bared, only to hit a barrier that had been conjured in the air. Shattering under the Dark-type's weight, Poochy 2 quickly went back to the offensive, before a strange aura pulsated from their target, rendering the Mightyena somehow unable to attack it with Bite. Kyle guessed it was Disable. With all the tricks that Psychic-types learn, Kyle wasn't so sure about the extent of their abilities anymore.

"Snarl."

He supposed that the move would be able to bypass any barrier made by the wild Pokemon since it seemed to be only be effective against physical attacks. The sound reach the Psychic-type, and with the sound waves it generated, it managed to clear the air from the lingering dust clouds. A Kadabra was finally revealed, though apparently knocked out by their attack just now.

"Good job, good job. We can go home now."
