Good evening, I'm Lilac Tanaka, and thank you for joining us today for News at Noon. We have several breaking stories today from across the Johto Region.[break][break]
Our first story comes from here in Kogane City. Technicians are currently working on repairing the damage to the city's famous Radio Tower after a power surge earlier this morning. Reports indicate that some of the shock waves from the fall of Sprout Tower last month may have caused some ground Pokemon to migrate, and that the tremors may have caused instabilities in the Kogane power grid. City officials assure the public that engineers are now surveying the entire system, to insure that utilities are provided without interruption.[break][break]
Next, a levy north of Route 38 has been over run by the recent rains, and due to some structural damage, the levee was lowered for repairs. The company managing the levy tells us that the repairs may take a while, and they apologize for the incredible wet conditions on the route. The company has set up at the route outposts and will provide travels with gear to help navigate the route, free of charge, as an apology.[break][break]
Recent reports have been coming in about a strange current along Route 40 that has changed in the past week, revealing a ship graveyard on the route. Travelers are warned to be cautions when traveling along Route 40, as the currents are currently unpredictable at best.[break][break]
In lighter news, Route 44 has been touched by a visit of winter, as the local ice Pokemon have migrated to the route from Ice Path. If you're looking for a cool vacation this summer, Choji Town's small-town atmosphere maybe be what you are looking for, with many of the family businesses offering special deals for tourists, such as an onsen visit in the snow.[break][break]
Finally, a warning from the National Wild Pokemon Survey. The NWPS is currently observing the movements of many populations, and recently, many populations have begun to migrate. Currently, they believe that the normal, seasonal migrations combined with recent events displacing local populations will cause the type of Pokemon encountered to be different than normal, and may continue to move in drastic ways in the future while the Pokemon attempt to adapt to the changing landscape.[break][break]
Thank you all for watching News at Noon. This has been Lilac Tanaka.
