A true sign of teamwork - you've all done well.[break][break]

The gratefulness that the Turtonator exudes is far too much to be measured. Protected from the cruel rampage of the Drampa by both Cody Spencer 's Sneasel and Kyle Lee 's Mightyena as well as Yuki Hayakawa and his whole team, the heavily injured pokemon managed to safely escape. The baby pokemon, though terrified and crying, were calmed by the presence of both Zatka Matrick 's powerful pokemon and Yuki's calming words. Their cries hushed, thankfully not bringing attention to the rampaging Drampa of their escape. They, alongside Turtonator were able to successfully and safely leave the front lines thanks to your help.[break][break]

With the Turtonator and the little ones saved, all that left for the corrupted pokemon itself, whose roars of outrage were enough to shake that of the whole forest itself. Torn earth and uprooted trees would fly as the pokemon struck out at random. While its movements were deterred by the onslaught of pokemon, it didn't seem as though its sporadic movements were ending anytime soon. In fact, its massive winged appendage threatened to nearly crush Cody Spencer 's Electrike, whose growl, while effective, had caught the dragon's attention and rage. While it failed to put the dragon to sleep though, the sudden Hypnosis by bosco 's Ghastly did make the corrupted pokemon falter and stop in its potentially grievous attack.[break][break]

Watching as Manectric would join the battle-field once more, the sudden collapse of the blonde nearby onto the ground startled even the legendary itself. However, Raikou spared Cody Spencer only a single glance, a soft growl rumbling from the legendary's throat - the male would likely feel the slightest shock of electricity. It wasn't meant to harm the trainer - no. There almost seemed to be an encouraging, knowing look in the beast's eyes. 'Relax.' This moment, though small, was likely one only to be noticed by the fighter and the fighter alone, as, abruptly as it appeared, it was gone. Cloaked in electricity, the legendary would move faster than the eye could see and out towards the battle field.[break][break]

This brief pause that managed to stop its drastic, dangerous 'dance', was, thankfully, just what Kyle Lee needed to pull off his devastating z-move. The powerful surge of energy made the area suddenly seem tense, as the temperature rose in the area rather abruptly. In a surge of power, Kyle Lee 's Manectric would release a massive inferno - a ball of fire so huge that it'd entirely consume even the Drampa - was this the added effect of Raikou giving the pokemon it's electricity? But, even still...was it enough?[break][break]

The skies overhead would suddenly roar with enough force to shake even the grounds below. The heavy, dark clouds would part, as a single bolt of lightning - far larger than any before - would strike down from the heavens themselves. This bolt of lightning was a divine blue in color, and would hit the Drampa just as the z-move did, creating an almost explosive impact. Nearby, Raikou stood, looking just as fearsome as ever, its fur bristled with electricity illuminating the stripes that ran down its body.[break][break]

When the smoke cleared, there was...nothing. The Drampa was gone - utterly obliterated....Perhaps it was a bit saddening that death was the only way to 'curse' these monstrosities...But, it needed to be done. The thick clouds would finally part as the gale winds that once blew would abruptly cease. The storm of chaos had finally passed, you all had won. [break][break]

There would be no time for celebration nor relaxation though.[break][break]

The Turtonator and baby pokemon you had saved would cheer for you briefly before they all - including the turtle dragon itself - would bow. An act of the most sincere thanks. A few baby pokemon would let out a soft whine - perhaps wanting their new 'friends' to come with them, as they'd briefly bounce around your legs. However, a brief glance exchanged with Raikou, and Turtonator only gave a knowing shake of its head - your challenges had not yet ended. This was not the time for play. And so soon, they'd take their leave, slowly disappearing into the forest without a second glance back. [break][break]

With that done, Raikou would let out a soft, beckoning growl, and your group would finally face forward to see what awaits you. The temple you had tried so hard to get to now lies before you in all of its archaic glory. The scarlet gem that rests atop it glows brightly, and for one reason or another, you're overcame with both a great sadness...and a crippling fear. What was this? The voice that had once spoke to you was eerily silent...[break][break]

The beast would beckon to you all with a single look before disappearing into the massive temple that lie before you all...and you can't help but feel as though yet another great challenge awaits you in the near future...

Notes: Staff has discussed the state of the event. Creed is taking a slight hiatus for his betterment, but mods don't want the events of Mirage island to be rushed, or even floundered through, so we will be cutting the event in half. [break][break]

Players will receive rewards for halfway making it this far, and the event will be on hold until a further date. As soon as we are able, we will continue the event. Staff understands that people might not have the drive to come back and continue, but I would like to point out that the rewards received now, are only a half portion. If you would like all the exp and items, the event must be finished by your character. [break][break]

It is likely that the event will be continued in a different thread, but staff will give out appropriate notice come the time. From this post, the thread will be locked. Any further rping is not allowed, and the event will still be considered on going, so any IC info this thread has, must be still confidential IC. [break][break]

• Kyle Lee your Manectric gains +3 level for using its z-move in tandem with Raikou' 'Super Bolt'! Kyle Lee your Mightyena - whichever it was - gains +1 level for helping protect Turtonator
• Yuki Hayakawa 's Treecko, Poochyena, and Growlithe gain +1 level for their help in defending the baby pokemon!
• Zatka Matrick 's Typhlosion and Flaffy gains +1 levels for helping out with Turtonator and the little one' safety.
