Alright, so, I like Fran. She's got spunk, aggressive. And I also want these two to, maybe, have a past relationship. Maybe she was close with his grandparents and, whenever he came over for the summertime, she was like a big sister/mentor to him. Maybe she's the reason Mateo turned out the way he did because he had the influence of Fran (of course his "idjit" thing coming from his father).

I'm not sure if you had Fran live her entire life, until a certain age, in Whitestone. But, for sometime, Mateo came their to visit his grandparents 24/7. Maybe they were great neighbors with Fran's parents, parent, or grandparents, whomever she lived with. And eventually, Mateo, who was probably a crybaby growing up, met this tough chica name Fran who was probably fearless. Found the fact that Mateo was from a family line of Dragon Tamers to be pretty cool, telling him to man up and shut up.

Maybe they even took fun baths together. I dunno, some cutesy childhood shit. All I know is Fran is the reason why Mateo's able to stand like a man and walk tall. Though it's been forever since they've seen each other, coming face-to-face with the girl he used to call a "Boogiewoman"(because she scared him and probably bullied him half the time during their childhood), she'd definitely strike fear in his heart the second he were to lay eyes upon her. Though it'd take a minute to figure out who she is, all she needs to do is flash him that grin and he's outta there.

It'd be funny 2 have a strong relationship most definitely with Fran. Especially seeing as their personality are like Fire and Ice, Thunder and Lighting. People will be surprised with what these two cook-up. Honestly, I have other things I can add. But, for now, let's see if I'm spot on with what I just offered.
