The smoker was not there for the fight. Sprider sighed as he thought ‘so i have got a new partner now to fight along this road. Huh!’ but what bewildered Sprider was the fact that the Ice Path was no longer a home for the ice pokemons but fire instead. Sprider was astonished as soon as he heard the face and he expressed his confusion on his face. He said he was looking for a fire type to which Sprider replied “Great. And i was here for an icy chilling pokemon who does not. Even if it would have biten, it would not have been a big problem. But this is!” He showed his frustration. He was so eager to catch an ice pokemon, but there they were.

How the fire pokemon survived there was out of the Sprider's thinking capabilities. Sprider had to put his Charmander back into the pokeball because that pokemon was clattering its teeth due to the chill wind and there were some fire pokemon living in the icy cave. Wow. Just wow. He had no words to express any more of his feelings. He said “Guess, fighting some fire with some punches will help a bit.” to his little machop who flexed his triceps then to show how strong he was.

Just then, the group were startled by noises from the cave. They were just going inside the not so peaceful cage when two pokemon came out of their hiding. Sprider crossed his fingers to find out some ice pokemon on whom he can utilize his pokeball and take them home.

Fate was such a witch.

The silhouette of two pokemon revealed to be two different fire type pokemon. Sprider mumbled 'dang it.’ The person next to him jumped in action by commanding Sprider that he will take on the slugma while the machop should try the other pokemon. Sprider unaware of what it was opened his pokedex to scan it. The pokedex said “Houndour, the Dark Pokemon. A pokemon that uses different kinds of cries to communicate amongst their team members which in turn strengthens their team’s tactics.” Sprider said “Great, so it is the punching fiend versus the dark pokemon.” and looked at his machop. The super power pokemon looked back at Sprider with eyes of determination. Sprider said “Let us get it started then!”

The dark and fire type pokemon charged at Machop and what it looked like that it went onto to bite him. Sprider commanded “Dive to your right and Karate Chop it!” The machop roared and as soon as the Houndour’s mouth was on Machop’s leg, the fighting pokemon danced away from it in a graceful movement. Just when it closed its mouth, machop’s hand was already on the neck of it.

Baam, it hit the target, Sprider thought. But it did not. The houndour was quick and paced ahead just to get the tail hit by the machop’s karate chop which was like superficial damage. The houndour barked at Machop. Sprider ordered “Machop, low kick that dark beast.” Machop charged at it and saw the dog making a run towards him. The houndour spit flame out of its mouth to burn the target but machop slid down to deliver a kick on its hind legs. The houndour slipped and fell on its back. It growled as the machop stepped back a few steps to create a distance between them.

The dual elemented pokemon stood up on its four feet and looked at machop with eyes with revenge inside them. Sprider said “Machop, do not waste much time, anticipate its move and run the other side. Use Karate Chop again and jump this time on it.” The houndour stood at its place and growled at machop. It actually leered at machop trying to lower his target’s defense. While machop charged at it and used karate chop. It was successful. A critical hit. The houndour’s neck was strongly hit by the chop by machop. The houndour lied down on its bent four legs as it fainted. Sprider looked at his machop and said “You are much better than i expected. Great job.” Machoo roared as he was happy to display his strength. Sprider looked at him and said “The way ahead is long and i hope you will always be there to help me.” As he massaged machop’s traps. Sprider always used to keep a physical contact with his Pokemon which he believed helped build a stronger bond with his pokemon.
