★ I've got that lightnin' inside me. Botan Shinume, Vash repeated in his head. The man had complimented his attire as well earning a smile in response. Vash considered himself about average without the mysterious air this whole thing provided.
Vash was about to speak when he looked away. Following the man's eyes, he realized the main event was about to start. It seemed that young man wasn't going to get his wish to do something fun. Even Vash was slightly disappointed since that meant their conversation would be cut short.
"Yes, we definitely shall," Vash answered. "After all, I thought I finally found someone interesting enough to talk to."
He had thought all the people here would be just like the uptight people his mother used to party with. All smiles in front of one another and behind the scenes rumors galore. The women were catty and the men all comparing themselves to see who was bigger. This man was completely different though; there was no way he was comparing himself to everyone else here.
"Excuse me," Vash said taking his leave. Without anyone to really sit down with he settled back at the bar. He ordered another bourbon and looked to the stage expectantly.
"Good luck," he quietly muttered watching the now irritated assistant. Hopefully, he'd keep some of that fire while speaking so he wouldn't stutter over everything.

[googlefont=Roboto Condensed] Kyle had thought his suggestion was outrageous enough for them to consider that he had just been on stage to harass the assistant and kill some time before the event. Unfortunately, it seemed that by suggesting a more realistic option, the guy had either not grasped the nature of his words or was adamant on specifically keeping Kyle off the stage. Either way, he didn't like him. "And he walks away after suggesting a more ridiculous option," he commentated before finishing the contents of his drink. "How nice of him."Eyeing the man as he went on his way, he turned to the assistant as he finally brought him the message that Kyle wanted to hear from the get-go: an update about the event. Severely boring and uneventful, Kyle had been thinking of simply visiting the other floors, or even ditching the site entirely, have the assistant not taken over the stage. "Well, that's something I wanted to hear." He dipped his head with a smile as he obliged politely, walking away and finding a spot to settle on. Amid the search for a place to sit on, Kyle had managed to get another alcoholic drink on his hands. At this point, he wasn't so sure what it was and had simply taken what the last guest had requested. Sitting on the same table as the trainer that he noticed that owned a Growlithe, he leaned over as to not speak as loud as the music to get his point across and asked. "Wait, you can get your Pokemon out of their ball for tonight?"With the event being fancy and all, he just assumed that they shouldn't be doing it. He needed confirmation about it though before releasing his Pokemon. Electrike might need some fresh air or something. Tag: @event // Wordcount: ## Tl;dr: Kyle is judging Vash so far. 精神病の愛 You knew the game and played it, it kills to know that you have been defeated, I see the wires pulling while you're breathing. WORDS 330 NOTES | "I was hoping you would say that," She murmured, allowing him to guide her towards one of the empty tables across the room. There, she looked up at him with a small smile, gratefully accepting the seat he provided her. "Hurry back." Her glistening emerald eyes lingered on him for a moment, unable to look away. The more they spoke to each other, the more Chelsea felt herself wanting to learn more about him, not caring what dangers may be lurking behind the mask he wore all too well. A small voice in the back of her head continued to spew out warnings left and right, reminding her that this wasn't a fairy tale, and that he could just be looking for a distraction. She didn't listen, of course. Her interest in him extended far past the point of caution.
"Hm?" Her gaze averted back to Spade, happy to see him return. Chelsea then directed her attention towards the plate he brought back, eyeing each drink carefully. It had been a while since she last tasted alcohol, and well, she wasn't too sure if she remembered her limit. Was it two shots? Three? Her memory was littered with holes, making it impossible to make out clearly. "Ah, so what do you think they're going to announce?" She asked, hoping to distract her wandering mind from worrying about the drinks, "I just hope their announcement doesn't last too long. I'd rather continue our conversation." Scooting closer, Chelsea leaned against Spade, allowing their arms to brush lightly against one another. She desperately wanted to tease him further and pull out every trick possible, but she knew this wasn't the time for it. Save them for later, she mused to herself, biting her bottom lip gently. All she had to do was wait it out for another hour or so.

[googlefont=Roboto Condensed] Cassandra had a habit of being fashionably despite her best efforts, so it was to no one's surprise when she rolled up the the party quite a bit late. A minor snag in her choice of dress was to blame. Her actual dress was exuberant and flashy. Although it had been tried on and purchased weeks before the event the woman had taken absolutely no account for how long it would take to be put into it. As the servant's in her parent's mansion fitted her in the white frilled dress and did her hair she nervously watched the time go by, the starting time now an hour past she quickly hurried from her parent's home and rushed to the event. As she was escorted to the third floor, the simple white mask covering a portion of her face she could barely contain her excitement. It had been so long since she had experience such a fancy event. Having traded in her wealthy girl card for professor, she couldn't help but miss the simple elegance of the of lavish events. With Lord draped over her shoulders much like a scarf, Cassandra entered the third floor and was greeted with the sound of smooth jazz being played over the speakers and waiters hurried rushing around with trays filled with drinks and gourmet appetizers on silver platters. The woman plucked a simple champagne flute from one of these trays and made her way into the crowd. She felt quite at home in the commotion, giving small smiles to those she passed.
Her blue eyes would scout out the crowd to see if she could find herself a table with an empty spot so she could mingle with those who were there. Part of the allure of masquarade parties was talking to those you may not know. It didn't take long for her to find a table with only two men sitting there, taking a sip of her champagne Cass made her way towards the crowd as her eyes caught sight at a familiar figure...? Although Zeref's back was turned towards her, the mass of red hair seemed entirely too familiar, as did those shoulders...
Cass smiled as she felt her heart flip. That couldn't be her childhood friend, could it? They had lost contact a few years ago and this wouldn't be his type of scene, would it? Ignoring her initial thought she pulled back the seat and shot a friendly smile towards the man she had thought was Zeref and Kyle, "Is this seat taken, gentleman?" She practically purred as she sat down.

[attr="class","frniknakmid"] Oh hell no did she just ignore him? NOT ON PARSIFALS WATCH SHE DIDN’T! Parsifal growled underneath his breath and was about to yelp once more until Zeref kicked in. He picked him up and placed him on top of his lap. “What’s up with you? Just let her do her thing.” Zeref said wondering if this guy has spotted someone he knows very well. “Your bow is messed up too what have you been doing?” The male shook his head at this Growlithe while trying to fix the pup’s bow. Yeah that’s right Parsifal was dressed up as well with a blue bow and wearing white mask as well. If he had a black suit he would’ve had him dress up like Tuxedo Mask but it looks like he didn’t have the proper clothes for it ah well. Maybe next time he’ll pick out a outfit for his two companions. [break] [break] While fixing his bow it looks like the guy that got yelled at from the nerd showed up and asked him about having his Pokemon out. Wait are they not allowed having Pokemon out their balls since when? “Oh were they supposed to stay in their pokeballs? In all honesty Parsifal doesn’t like staying in his pokeball. He’ll give me a hissy fit if I do look.” Zeref lifted up his pokeball but the instant he did, Parsifal wacked it with his paw. The pokeball fell on the floor and kept rolling all the way to the front door until Malice showed up. The Pokemon has been hiding this whole time to keep an eye out on the party or maybe just to have fun and troll. After all that’s what ghost types love to do right? [break] [break] Malice picked up the pokeball and flew back over to Zeref. “Thanks Malice sorry about that. I hope you aren’t getting yourself into trouble.” On the other hand Parsifal was ready to use ember on the pokeball until a familiar voice kicked in! The Pokemon spun around to see a familiar face sitting right next to them at the table! Parsifal jumped up with excitement while Malice on the other hand was confused by his reaction. The pup jumped right into Cassandra Moore arm with its tail wagging and tongue stick out. [googlefont=Roboto Condensed] It took much more than a few seconds for Cass to figure out what was going on. As the Growlithe jumped into her lap she ran her finger's over the pup's head, "Aren't you just the cutest---" Then it hit her as she gazed down into the familiar and friendly face of Parsifal. It felt as if her heart dropped into her stomach like a lead stone. Even Lord seemed to rouse from his position on her neck, craning his head past Cass' face to stare at Zeref. Even the poised lady, she didn't let her feelings be known as she went to greeted her very old childhood friend. The heart that had sunk to her stomach flew back into her chest, fluttering away as if trying to break free. It really was Zeref! And he looked so good! The years had been kind to him, he looked older despite the same almost childlike face and stuttering demeanor. The feelings Cass had pushed down as she busied herself in both schooling and work burst free and she too almost found herself a nervous mess. Later she would kick herself for her reaction. Clearly he had no interest in her after all the years... Why would he, after all? As if sensing her distress Lord sunk his claws gently into her collar bone, the flash of pain reminding her of her roll as a wealthy and dignified lady. Letting a single arm wrap around Parsifal and hold the fire type close she nodded her head politely at him. "Hello Zeref." She replied as a quick unlady like giggle burst free. "Same old boy I used to know~ What are you doing here? What a most curious question. Last time we were at something like this I distinctly recall you landing on your face more often than you could stand." There was a teasing note to her voice, and a devious glint to her blue eyes as she recalled the last ball they attended in their youth. Cass took a sip of her champagne before putting it down on the table and looking towards Kyle. "Pleasure to meet you." She said with a nod towards the man Zeref was demanding help from. "As this spazz has announced, I am Cassandra Moore, perhaps you've heard of my family?" She said in ways of introduction.

[googlefont=Roboto Condensed] "Most formal events do." He took a quick glance on the surroundings, and, while there were no particular Pokemon that seemed to stand well amid the crowd, there were no staff that came to him either. "Well, you aren't getting reprimanded, so I guess it's alright." He supposed it was fine, since trainers do train their Pokemon in the tower under normal circumstances. He still stopped himself from releasing any of his though, knowing how troublesome they get, both individually and in a group. His attention quickly went to the female that sat with them in the table. Judging from the reaction of Zeref beside him, he quickly concluded that they were some acquaintance of sorts. He simply watched as Zeref stuttered and lose his composure, arching a brow and taking a long sip of his drink as he asked for help. It was amusing to see how he turned from a warrior of love that kept pushing for a relationship between the professor and her assistant to this mess. "Heh, she called you a spazz in response to your compliment." A light chuckle ensued before clearing his throat to introduce himself. "I'm Kyle. Pleased to make your acquaintance as well."He held his hand out, offering a hand shake to the lady. That was how introductions were supposed to work, right? He wasn't so sure anymore as the alcohol slowly took effect in him. Perhaps fancy people did things differently. Regardless of whether she'd accept or not, he'd return back to his seat. "No, not really," he answered her question bluntly. He wasn't sure if her family was supposed to be popular or not since he usually doesn't check the news outside of weather reports. Kyle let his awkward answer sit for a while, before pepping up once again with a question of his own. "But hey, let's not get my ignorance in the way." He glanced sideways to Zeref, which was unnoticeable with his mask, before he continued. "Are you not a battler of sorts? The lower floors seemed much more interesting than here as far as I know."He wasn't sure what kind of help did Zeref need. He tried veering the conversation to another topic, wondering if it was enough to reset the atmosphere and get Zeref back on his feet. Probably not though. Kyle wasn't the most genius thing out there when it came to social interaction. Tag: @event // Wordcount: ##

[nospaces] [attr="class","Vgentempbox"] [attr="class","Vgentemptitle"]event 001. third floor [attr="class","Vgentempdiv"] [break][break] As the venue began to settle down and guests, patrons alike, had began to take their places. Some sat, some stood to the side, and others remained where they were; whereas the host's assistant, Thomas Machiavelli, took reign upon the mechanical stage. The podium standing before him and he behind it. Hesitant at first, the male would then begin; though, before beginning, a shake would erupt throughout he tower. Patrons and guests had begun to worry, shake from the sudden quake that erupted. "Everyone, please remain calm!" Thomas alerted, he would ask the monk's who stood guard near the door on what exactly happened. Though, after a minute or two, the quake settled and was told to be a small, sudden eruption.[break][break] "A-Ah, it would seem as though the Gym Leader underneath us got carried away with his battle; although, we specifically told him not to do anything that would disrupt those beneath and above him." Thomas stated with a nervous laughter. Those around him would, too, let out a titter. "Forgive me for the inconvenience, but let us begin." Thomas apologized. "I'm sure you're all wondering where Professor Madeline is, a-and I'm sorry that she isn't here standing before you all right now. T-The reason as to why will be explained, but first," and that was when his tone would shift from a hesitant to that of a deeper sound, "Let us discuss about the program Code V." Deadpanned eyes hid behind clear frames. A gaze that did not match his tone stirred whispers and murmurs from one section of the room to another, all inquiring questions left and right.[break][break] Turning on the monitors that were found in one section of the room to the next. There, upon it, Code V [ image here ] spawned "Hello, everyone! It's wonderful to see you all again!" Code V joyfully stated as he hovered about one monitor to the next. He'd wave, saying hello to each individual within the room. "As you may know, Code V is an artificial intelligence that was installed within the: PokeNav, Pokegear, and, it's main residence, every individuals Pokemon Storage System." Upon the monitor over his head, Thomas would ask, "Code V, please pull the chart." Code V would respond, "Right away, sir!" A chart would come to pop up.[break][break] Upon the chart there was a silhouetted figure that looked to have resembled a Liligant's body and the body of a human. The human and the silhouetted Liligant were blue; whereas the third chart of a silhouetted Pikachu, whose chart was purple. Though the Liligant's chart was slowly transitioning to becoming a purple color. Thomas's face remained deadpan, a cold gaze fixed to the front of him. He'd say to the monk's in charge of the technical portion of the event,[break][break] "Please turn on all monitors upon each floor level." [break][break] Monitors on Floor 2 and Floor 1 switched on. It was loud enough for all upon those said floors to hear and was clear enough to see what was occurring upon Floor 3. Each monitor would, too, showcase the charts; whereas one focused on Thomas on stage. Thomas then spoke, "Code V's true reason, and why he was essentially created for the P.S.S. is so that we, Team Virus, can weed out the infected. Thanks to the Pokemon League's poor handling on the situation, it seems as though they've left us no choice but to take matters into our own hands." He began to remove the eyewear which donned his face, messy hair came to be slicked with just one swipe to the back. [break][break] "My name is Thomas Machiavelli, creator of Team Virus." [break][break] And with more murmuring, the male would state, "It is without hesitation, nor remorse, that I alert you all the following: The virus can be stopped, and halted; though, I don't believe you'll like the solution that we've come to terms with." The male forewarned, "It is by extermination, we terminate those who are too far within the research to save. Pokemon that have been infected are incurable; whereas those who are on the verge can still be saved--with this." Revealing to them what looked to have been a poke ball, the design was different. The spherical ball possessed purple outlines placed within a strange, whereas the color itself was black as a whole. "We refer to them as Glitch Ball's. These balls were created to steal the Pokemon of others, as well as capture wild Pokemon without any resistance. Our goal is to cleanse those Pokemon who're owned and those that have yet to be captured--the ones residing within the wild." Releasing the poke ball into the air, he'd release a Liligant before the crowd upon the stage.[break][break] "Liligant was on the verge of becoming tainted, but this ball suppressed the virus; though, not without side effects." the Liligant was merely standing still, mindless, as if though she were without purpose or personality. "These balls have a strong effect upon the Pokemon's mental stability, as the process of curing does not come without intense strain on the pokemon's physical and mental states. Once captured, you could say the Pokemon and the virus are under our control; ceasing any increase within the transitioning phase, though halting the Pokemon's self-awareness and erasing them of all reason." A narrowed stare that held not a lick of guilt.[break][break] "To put it simply, this Liligant is a mindless zombie that can't function without order." [break][break] As the Liligant remained still, he'd continue, "Though, as for the incurable. We're only given two choices: To put them down or to capture and lock them away. Preferably the latter option would be requested by many, but that's not an option Team Virus will allow. The extermination of these infected creatures is our utmost importance, or else--" He'd halt himself before saying anything else. Choking upon his next words, he'd tread carefully. "There is a way to control them as well, but that process isn't one I'm willing to divulge we're still in the testing phases of the procedure." Fixing his gaze back unto the chart, he'd continue onward, "The effects of the virus aren't harmful to humans, but its danger is in what it does to pokemon... Or rather, what it turns pokemon into. Infected pokemon gain, purple markings across their bodies; becoming far fiercer and more savage. Even typically passive pokemon seethe with rage and become rabid. In this state the pokemon becomes far stronger than it typically is, so strong in fact, that fighting these beasts with normal pokemon leads to almost certain failure or disaster." A vexed sigh would escape Thomas's maw, "After running its course through the host pokemon's body the creature promptly dies. We've experienced and studied this phenomenon of the infected pokemon within our custody; many of which have yet to succumb to the virus fully, but are currently exhibiting an uncontrollable rage. Coming into contact with any of these infected pokemon with your own can prove disastrous as it puts your own pokemon at risk to the disease." The people continued to murmur about, questions having yet to be asked by any. [break][break] "You're all probably wondering if Professor Madeline herself is in on this, she isn't. She's actually being detained by force, her whereabouts won't be made to the public. And by making this announcement, perhaps rightfully so, The Pokemon League will surely try to terminate our organization, our project and --our goal, unable to understand that what we're doing is for the sake of our people--not the Pokemon. Pokemon... are expendable, trust me..." Thomas stated, a hint of irritation visible on the male's face as his right fist tightened, "I would know." With more force passion in the man's eyes he'd speak further. "I'm willing to become an enemy of the Legaue, and even the Johto Region as a whole, if it means stopping the virus from spreading any further. If I must play the villain, I have no qualms with the role, Judge me if you must, but know this as you form your opinions looking down on me... on us--" He hesitated, only to slam his fist upon the podium, his voice filled with a fire none had yet scene. "I won't let anyone get in our way. Pokemon are expendable--Humanity is not. And if this virus isn't contained and destroyed before it spreads outside of the Johto Region? Then it's only a matter of time until the virus, evolves. I said that the virus's symptoms weren't harmful to humans, but I didn't say it was impossible for us to catch it. If left unchecked the virus will grow, it will evolve, and it will adapt." A hand would tighten upon the podium's edge once more as he hesitated his next words. [break][break] "With just a single command, I can permanently dismantle any infected pokemon caught by a glitch ball." he'd turn towards the Liligant beside him now, "Liligant, on my command, you will be given your final order:" Thomas would speak clearly hardening himself for the command. "Activate, Code V 107." The Liligant eye's body would almost immediately collapse any small flicker of light in its eyes fading before the lids closed entirely. "As you can see, once we capture them. We activate a command that places them under a heavy psychosis, in other words eternal slumber. Much like a computer we in a sense, the glitch ball infects the pokemon's root conscience, and with a command we can shut down the conscious mind of a pokemon permanently. This Liligant for all intents and purposes has died, and with its death another carrier of the virus has been put down." The Liligant was no longer capable of movement, an empty shell that was no longer functional. "As they say, that's the gist of our operation. And one of the many, functions of the Glitch Ball. For those of you asking, 'what's next' I've already told you our next objective. To cleanse the Johto Region entirely." Any sense of hesitation had long left the man's voice now. It was a lot to take in and many simply couldn't decipher just who was the real threat: [break][break] The virus or Team Virus itself? [break][break] "You may see me as a cold individual, but I'm just as human as any in this room. Perhaps even more so than many of you." A bold claim to be sure, "I won't subject you all to our inspection this evening, but you should know that at this time? You have the chance to make a difference. and only two options might I add: Join Team Virus or be prepared for your subjugation, because we will eliminate the virus, and moreover we will make the Johto Region great again. If I have to take the people's Pokemon, even the League's by force, I will with no qualms. There is a secondary way to stop this that simply isn't pratical, but we are looking into it. It's something you trainers can help us with as you begin and continue your journeys. : Find Patient Zero. There's a Pokemon that Team Virus is in search of, described to possess the body of a 'fairy'. for, ironically, it's code name is revered "The Fairy". It's a small being we're in search of, and it's believed that our region's esteemed Top Coordinator may have had an encounter with it; her Pokemon may have even become infected. As such, we will be taking her into Team Virus's custody. Thomas stated, looking toward the camera, "I have faith you've accomplished the assignment, Flare.." Looking at his wrist, he'd come to realize the time from his PokeGear. [break][break] "And it would seem as though our ride has arrived: Members of Team Virus, it is time to come out. You will be reached via your devices for our meeting on what is to come next, for now don't be too hasty. I'm sure I have dedicated members who're ready to take action at my behest, not for me, but for the sake of this region. The region we all love so dearly. Trainers, stay in touch and even more stay out of our way. Team Virus, we're leaving." As if to punctuate the announcement from above a crash would sound in the wake of the sound was a large hole through the roof of the tower leading straight into the third floor. Coming through the man-made opening was a ladder for the individual to escape from all the while Dropping from the same ladder were grunts ready to take charge had anyone tried to halt Thomas in his escape. "Oh, and don't worry, the Pokemon League are probably on their way as we speak; so you all have nothing to fear, they were notified a while ago, thanks to a few of you. I hope my associates haven't caused too much trouble in the meantime they have a difficult time holding back, until we meet again. I do hope we're not seen as foes, Zeref Sanders and friends; please, think about joining Team Virus, we could use youthful individuals such as yourselves." Thomas would then begin his climb to the helicopter, his grunts remaining at bay to watch out for any individuals that dared to take action in stopping him. [nospaces] [attr="class","Vgentempbox"] [attr="class","Vgentemptitle"]EMERGENCY SITUATION: ESCAPE [attr="class","Vgentempdiv"]
Smoke begins to rise through the third floor and upon a guest opening the door leading to the stairway an intense orange light beams into the room flames from the second floor threaten to enter this sector of the tower. The Virus entry from the roof did little to stabilize the tower that is on the verge of collapse. For you all on the third floor who've had it easy thus far, a peaceful night all around you find yourself in the worst possible situation. Stuck on the third floor of the tower smoke rising into the room. Not to mention the head of Virus standing before you preparing his own departure. How will you fare against these odds young trainers?

You're running out of time, will you work together to escape or will you simply save yourself? [break][break] Notes: I'll be reading the future posts and every so often I will update the tower events creating and updating a list determining who managed to escape based on their actions.

★ I've got that lightnin' inside me. Vash was left more astounded than anything as he listened. His fist clenched at the idea of their pokemon being expendable. They were far from and if his pokemon taught him anything its that they have their own personalities.
The virus was a threat to be sure however Team Virus seemed the larger threat at the moment. This ball that empties their pokemons minds. They could easily pursue it till it was perfected without the need for destroying who a pokemon was.
That quake earlier; had that been them? Vash looked about at all the people unsure what to do. He could see the panic in their eyes. It mirrored his own admittedly.
He had to think. No not just think but act. The grunts around their master. His escape route; Vash cast a glance to those trying to escape only to see the glow of a fire. It was all happening so fast and the smoke had begun to rise.
"We need to calm down," Vash said quietly at first. He was trying to calm himself down and he eventually succeeded.
The cries of the people around him resounded in his ears. He turned and pulled himself up onto the bar to elevate himself. A few eyes looked at him but so many more were wandering trying to find their way out.
"Attention," Vash called out. He took off his mask so people could see his face. "Please stay still and try to stay calm. Vash Parker and I'm a ranger. Can I get all other rangers to help with keeping everyone calm? Our first priority should be the civilians." He cast a glance to their escaping enemy. He hated letting him go but he was sure if nothing else he would appear again.
Vash got down after trying to pull everyone together. They had to do their job and quickly before the ground gives out to the flames. He wondered if anyone had large enough flying types. If they put a decent sized hole in the wall they could evacuate through flight. If not they would have to fight the fire.
Vash was not too keen on the idea of letting his pokemon out. Not when they had those pokeballs that could steal his pokemon. He had just put a big target on his head as well by announcing he was a ranger. He'd do his best to try and do this without risking his pokemon.

[googlefont=Roboto Condensed] The event went from what the boring slide-by-slide presentation that expected it to be to a rather grave 'threat' that was explained to the guests in a very informative manner. It ended rather grim, and the sternness of his tone, along with the escape he made afterwards, only made the facts he presented much more believable. "Heh, looks like you got a special mention," he'd tell Zeref beside him. "At least I know you aren't one of them people who accepted that weird invitation."Despite how it looked like he was taking things too lightly, he still couldn't feel easy about the situation. Surely, his sister won't be in this event right? An event that forces people to wear tight and restricting clothes, more so a formal one that guests are expected to observe proper etiquette. Then again, the invitation was sent to everyone who was in the system as far as he knows, and with the battles that happened on the floors below, it wouldn't be surprising to find a certain fighter down there with the rest of the battlers. The more he thought about it, the more that he grew worried. Only when did someone try to leave the floor and reveal the flames below did he stood up from his seat. The fire had to come from somewhere, and since third floor was already the highest floor, it basically meant that anyone below was at risk of being caught in the fire. His lightheadedness from the alcohol intake subsided in an instant as he quickly took his phone and dialed the number of the one person he'd expect to be in this building. "Oi, oi, fucking answer this phone," he'd whisper to himself impatiently. He bit his lip as he awaited for a response on the opposite end. He'd like to think it wasn't that urgent and she was safe outside the tower, considering he never imagined his sister to actually wear a dress, though it didn't change the worry in him. His sister's phone would ring, indicating that at least her phone wasn't dead, and with the commotion happening within the tower, only those nearby it would be able to possibly answer. [attr="class","frniknakmid"] So much shit is happening all at once and this is rather confusing the poor little Ranger. For starters his childhood friend showed up rather late which sounds a lot like her to be honest. He wasn’t even given the time to respond to her teasing response he couldn’t believe she brought up that memory that was lost forgotten. Thankfully his temporary wingman managed to help him somewhat? Well he gave it a shot and that’s what matters. He needs to keep his name in mind in the future maybe they can hangout or something. [break] [break] Anyways jumping right into the opening ceremony it looks like it was another boring long conversation. Zeref seemed to be dozing off and every time he did, Parsifal would stomp on his hand to snap out of it. It wasn’t his fault really this was too complicated for Zeref to take in none of this makes any sense. What were they talking about Zombies like Pokemon? Is that why Parsifal kept waking him up? It doesn’t seem like Parsifal was a huge fan of that. Wait a minute did this man say he was the leader of Team Virus this little nerd? Zeref doesn’t know anything about Team Virus however the fact that the nervous little rascal is their leader is quite impressive! Zeref was about to call out something but only to get blocked by Parsifal. It looks like that wasn’t going to happen until after this announcement. Zeref would puff his cheeks wondering why his partner is acting this way. Meanwhile Malice on the other hand hasn’t returned from her little investigation. The Ranger was a little worried about her. [break] [break] “Steal Pokemon?” Zeref hissed underneath his breath knowing darn well it’s against the law to steal Pokemon and without any resistance either. Shit he hopes Malice didn’t get caught in that mess and if this ends up becoming reality he’ll have to keep Parsifal in his pokeball rather he liked it or not. Something doesn’t feel right about the whole thing, Zombie like Pokemon, stealing, and infection? The Ranger wasn’t a huge fan of this but not only that he wasn’t a fan of the whole infecting situation. How come this matter didn’t inform him? Thinking fast the young ranger slid his hand underneath the table and pressed on record. On the other hand, Zeref couldn’t help but to looked over at Parsifal taking out his Pokeball. “I know you hate it but I need you in the pokeball.” Parsifal frowned at him before finally accepting his trainer’s proposal. After the pup went inside of his pokeball Zeref looked around wondering what was taking Malice so long! [break] [break] When Kyle walked up to him mentioning how he got called out Zeref couldn’t help but to move his bang away from his face. “I guess I’m a little popular dude. You know what they say about being friends with an enemy. Actually I don’t know how that meaning goes.” Zeref was worried about the situation but most importantly he was more concerned about Pokemon forcefully getting captured by Team Virus. He refuses to let any of his Pokemon be taken by these thugs. The Ranger turned his head to his childhood friend wishing he could be by her side to protect her from the current danger but it doesn’t look like this will be the case. The male placed a smile on his face before ruffling up his childhood’s friend’s hair. “You sure joined at the worse timing huh? Don’t worry everything will be alright.” He said calmly. Whenever she’s around he feels calm and relaxed despite the fact she’s put in a dangerous situation. ( Cassandra Moore ) [break] [break] The male turned his gaze back over to the nerd aka leader of this strange organization before smirking. “It’s kind of hard when this place is on fire you know but wow I can’t believe you out of all people being the leader of Team Virus?” Zeref shook his head at this. “That’s rather impressive no wonder you were nervous since you were representing your team. It’s quite a shock if you ask me however unfortunately it looks like you wouldn’t want a guy like me on your squad.” Zeref took off his mask. “I’m Zeref Sanders I’m a Pokemon Ranger and a part time bodyguard after all.” He said before placing his mask on the table. ( COMET ) [break] [break] When he announced his name, Malice flew by his side and gave a slight pose as if the Pokemon was trying to introduce herself in a fashionable way. “Malice there you are! All right our first priority is to help out the civilians as Vash said. Everyone please listen stay calm you have two Rangers on your side. We’ll do whatever we can to get you out of here safe and sound.” Zeref tapped his chin at this situation. “We need to think together in order to get out of here safe and sound. Does anyone have any ice, water, or psychic type Pokemon? We could use them to help us out with an escape route.” Zeref lifted up his hands as he tried to explain his plan. “We could try to create a ice slide. I know it might be difficult with the fire but with water type Pokemon help we can use that to help restrain the fire. If we don’t have any of those we could use psychic type Pokemon. With multiple of them they should be able to float us out of here.” He suggested this idea to ( Vash Parker ) [attr="class","frniknakbot"] [attr="class","frniknakbot1"] NOTES Wait I'm popular now? [googlefont=Roboto Condensed] Any worry he had eventually dissipated when he finally heard her voice on the other line. His expression softened considerably as he tried to compose both his outward posture as well as any emotional stability he should maintain. She was alive, at least, and maybe on the safety of the lower floors by now, exiting the building and getting out of the flames as they spoke. Nothing as dangerous as being stuck on the highest floor with fumes biding its time to suffocate them. "Yeah, of course." He held his voice firm and unwavering, not wanting to pass any other negative vibe to her sister through the phone. "What's with that voice? Are you, uh, crying?"He supposed that was the normal reaction. Everything was falling apart and it wouldn't be surprising if the day ended with people full of injuries lining up in hospitals. Kyle paced to the door leading downstairs, leaving those that tried to rally the people into making an escape. They can be heroes if they want. Kyle wasn't the type to take the spotlight anyways. He came to an abrupt stop just before the first step, unable to go on without risking his health. Instead, he peered through, trying to find a safe way. Looks like there weren't any, however. "I should be the one asking if you're alright instead of you, you know. Everything's fucked up down there. Then again, you don't seem like the type to die easily." Seeing the second floor ablaze, he didn't want to imagine her staying there. "You're safe down the first floor right?" He started to began uncharacteristically chatty, perhaps as a way to cope with the reality they were faced with. Noticing this, he cleared his throat, and started to ask the important question. "Big bro is stuck here with the others. A bit longer and we're gonna die from suffocation. We'll live though, so don't worry about us. Tell me. How's the situation on the lower floors?"Tag: @event // Wordcount: ## > walks away from the rest of the group to continue his call > stays by the door and looks at the pretty flames > asks ASHLEY LEE about their situation MADE BY NOVA

[googlefont=Roboto Condensed] Things has been going so pleasantly for the majority of the evening. Cass had shaken the hand of the man who seemed to enjoy keeping the banter between the trio who sat there. She had found her long lost childhood friend and has his Growlithe in her lap, just like old times. It even seemed as if Lord was having fun, the normally lounging feline had sat upright on his perch on her neck and was looking around the room with interest. As things quieted for the waited announcement Cass found herself delighted in the opening of it. The AI along the computer greeted her personally and she shot a cheerful wave towards it. How delightful! Was all Cass could think, already assuming this was some sort of announcement for a new innovation for the PokeNav system. She had been to quite a few announcement galas before and this was no different. As she idly listened to the man at the podium speak Cass removed her face mask and set it down on the table. That was when things took a rather... Shocking turn. She would have missed the initial announcement about what Code V was, if not for the surprised gasps and murmers around the room. Whipping her head towards the podium Cass listened and watched in horror as he explained about the zombie like virus that they were hell bent on stopping. She would briefly turn to face Zeref, a look of absolute horror on her face before turning back towards the gruesome display. As the man finished talking and announced his plans to become the number one enemy in some quest to save everyone, Cass stood angrily. Her mind was moving a mile a second and she had so many angry words to say! But... They all failed her. What could she even say? It was all happening so fast. If those infected pokemon were real, was the only way to stop them death? And stealing pokemon? It was all too much -- the rich woman felt faint and promptly sat down in an effort not to pass out right then and there. She turned once again weakly towards Zeref, a confused smile on her face when the smell of smoke hit her nose and the pandemonium around her really set in. For now the announcement of the horrible Code V project was forgotten as smoke began to quickly fill the room. Lord dug his claws into Cass' collar bone as she stood quickly and grabbed Zeref's arm in fear, holding it tight against her chest as he seemed to drip with confidence. He had said he was a ranger, right? Rangers were the good guys, so he would save her... He had to. "Zeref..." Cass whispered under her breathe as he explained his plan to another person in the room. "I'm scared." She admitted, coughing as the smoke became thicker.

★ I've got that lightnin' inside me. Vash wasn't alone as a ranger. The fact felt like he had had a weight lifted from his shoulders. He was quick to suggest fighting the fire but Vash was unsure. Even if they took out most of the flames in the stairway the strength of the steps could probably no longer hold anyone's weight. Let alone the weight of a ton of ice.
"I can fit water or ice but my lapras can't do both at once," Vash said after thinking about it. The more time they spent planning and less time they spent acting the more those flames would consume.
"I can do damage control for now but I'm not sure we can use the stairwell. If the fire has caused too much damage it may not hold our weight let alone the weight of solid ice," Vash voiced his concern.
"Our best bet is airlifting out of here, not unlike their leader," Vash cast a glance at where he was leaving. "Still I'm not one to say no. We need all the chances we can get to survive."
With that Vash walked over to the stairwell. He urged people back and to give enough room for his Lapras before releasing her. Belle turned her head back and forth letting out a confused noise.
"Belle, I'm sorry this isn't time for play," Vash said his talk having her nudge him as the smell of smoke began to frighten her. "We need you to put the fire out in the stairwell, alright?"
He patted her head pointing towards the orange glow. She poked her head into the doorway low to the ground the smoke burning her eyes some as it wafted past. She began releasing her water from her mouth a scared look on her face as she fought an unseen foe. Her eyes closing to protect them from the smoke.
Light grey steam billowed up with the attempt leaving Vash covering his mouth. He wasn't about to leave her side. Yet he cast a glance back at the other ranger hoping they would soon have a plan B. Because she didn't have an endless supply to give them.
His gaze eventually rested on a man on the phone. He had just asked about the lower floors, didn't he? They had contact with the lower floors but he wasn't about to press for the situation. Not yet anyway he wasn't the only one who needed those answers and it was best to wait till he actually had something to give. It had all gone so fast not unlike them he imagined a lot of confusion down there as well.
