Come to think of it, does Zeref happen to know anyone in the area? The only person that comes to his mind is his childhood friend but she’s not from there or is she? He might recognize some familiar faces from the fancy party that his childhood friend would take part of but that was honestly it. At that point Zeref realizes he doesn’t have many friends and that’s quite depressing if you ask him. Maybe this event will help him gain some friends! “I don’t know anyone in the area either. I guess this is a good excuse to fix that issue right?”

Something else popped his interest and that’s the fact that they have to wear a mask! This makes Zeref wonder if the event hands them out to people or you have to physically buy them yourself. “Do you guys think they’ll provide masks for those who don’t have any? I’m just curious about that. I think the mask thing is interesting although I do wonder why we have to wear one.” Zeref asked.

Meanwhile on the bench Parsifal has been listening to this conversation the whole time. The pup was laying on it’s back with it’s paws up in the air before rolling back on it’s two paws. It pouted before jumping off the bench basically in other words ‘fuck it this is boring’. There must be something for this pupper to do heck it would love to dance but there’s nothing to dance to. That was when it spotted something and that something was a Butterfree! Ah perfect something to get his mind off of things and to get away from this boring ass conversation. Peace out homies Parsifal is out but don’t worry he doesn’t plan on leaving too far from the pack.

With that being said, Parsifal crawled his away over to the Butterfree. You could see his tail wagging as the little pupper got closer to his pray and once he licked his chops he launched himself into the air to catch the Butterfree but if only that was the case! These things are smart you see it’s like they have radar sensors are always on high alert! No matter how many times you try to be a ninja it just won’t work! So all you could see was Parsifal missing the Butterfree and falling flat on his face! The pupper puffed its bang away from his face, got back up before doing the same thing again! These things are like catching a legendary and once he manages to catch this one the legendary Pokemon are nothing to compare! He’ll catch this thing no matter what!

Hearing both of them admit their lack of friends was reassuring. It allowed, her to hope that they could reconvene during the event, and perhaps share whatever stories they’ve been gathering throughout the night. Though, the addition of masks severely meddled with this fantasy, making it almost impossible to achieve. She could already imagine herself at the event. A look of pure concentration would be fixated on her face, accompanying the serious glare in her bright emerald eyes, as she scout the event for her lord and savior: bench god. Zeref wouldn’t be too hard to find, though. He would definitely be that one guy running around the establishment, chasing after his Pokémon, or getting drunk off his ass. Whatever attention he spruces up wouldn’t be contained by one mere mask. “I’m sure it wouldn’t be too difficult,” chelsea looked over at Zeref for a moment, her lips twitching into a smirk, “You both have very distinctive personalities.”

While Fredrick’s attractiveness hadn’t flared, the novelty of his appearance had started to wear off, leaving the blonde a tad bored with the conversation. It was just stale. The only redeeming quality it held had been the event they mentioned to her earlier. What could she do to spice things up? If she were to do something extravagant, would that drive her future husband away? She pondered these thoughts, eventually concluding that she could slide in an interesting topic without completely shattering her chances with Frederick. . All she had to do was retain her class - not too hard at all. “You would have to buy one yourself,” Chelsea responded, answering his dumb question politely. “And the masks fit with the theme of the event. Have you never heard of a masquerade before?”

What topic could she bring up? Chelsea searched her mind carefully, examining each thought thoroughly, making sure to individually consider everyone of them. Eventually, an idea flashed in her mind. “Hey Zeref, what did happen at that party? I’m sure it wasn’t that bad, right? Did you just trip while dancing?”

 As much as he enjoyed meeting new people, it would be nice to know that there were a few familiar faces lingering int eh crowd. Even if they were going to be hidden behind masks the entire time. But Chelsea had a good point. No matter how much of their faces those masks obscured surely they wouldn't have too much trouble finding each other should they be in the same area. They all had, as she so kindly put it, distinctive personalities that were sure to stand out. And from the way Chelsea had been eyeing the ranger there was little doubt she would have his appearance safely stored away in her memory. Not that he noticed or anything.
The topic of masks brought up a good point. While normally he would assume one would have to bring their own masks the fact that people were openly invited to the event made him wonder. "Personally I would suggest bringing your own. Part of the fun of a masquerade is choosing a mask that both fits your personality and style while still providing a bit of mystery." He smiled at Zeref, yellow eyes taking a moment to observe him before he lightly added. "Or if you don't want to put so much thought into it just find a suitable mask of your favorite pokemon." For some reason he suspected that most party goers weren't going to get into the spirit of things quite as much as he.
Frederick crossed his legs, bringing an ankle to rest on his thigh as he tilted his head to one side. It seemed Chelsea was curious of the event that made Zeref nervous as well. Though she was much more bold than he, it was good to have an opening to discuss the topic. "Yes, I'm rather curious myself. Perhaps getting it off your chest will help you deal with it and make the party more enjoyable for you. I'm sure it couldn't be as bad as you make it out to be in your head."

Great now he has to find a mask for him to bring to the tower. This is going to be just fantastic maybe his sister will help him pick something out but then again has fashion ever been her thing? Zeref tapped his chin wondering how his sister is doing and what career path she decided to take however it seemed as if his trans of thoughts were scattered into tiny little pieces! It looks like the others want to hear about his embarrassing encounter back in the day. Zeref’s face was hot red from embarrassment. “Wait why do you two want to hear about this?” The Ranger moaned while poking his fingers.

“I was such a crybaby back then. If I did one little thing I would cry over it and Parsifal would try to cheer me up. I have a childhood friend that I used to hangout with all the time. You see her family always have these so-called business parties and stuff like that. So thanks to my father being close friends with this wealthy family line we were invited to these parties. I was able to meet up with my childhood friend but for some reason I felt really strange around her. My heart was pounding and my face turned hot red. I tripped over my own two feet, landed right into the food service section and a bowl of soup fell on top of my head. I was so embarrassed so I started to cry but what else is new and I seemed to have embarrassed my parents well my mother at least while father laughed his head off.”

Zeref turned his head cheeks still blushing. “But those aren’t the only times I’ve done something so clumsy. I seem to act that way whenever I’m around her then I do something stupid. Last time I’ve met her I turned around but only to slam right into a pole! There was a time I fell inside of a trashcan now that was embarrassing. I haven’t seen her in awhile since I wanted to surprise her to show how strong I’ve gotten but I’m still a bit clumsy. Now you can see why I’m worried heck what if she shows up? What if I fall over and do something stupid again?” Gosh darn it why do they want to know about this so much? It’s so embarrassing!
