IM JUST A BROKEN MACHINE Percy for a moment had to stare at the pokeball. Her very own Cubone and with that her team was nearly complete. Simply one more slot to fill and she'd be satisfied. She grinned and then turned back to Kyle when he spoke. She still was flustered from earlier, it was easy to tease her and clear by her not so easily concealed flushed face. As she tried to clear her throat and speak. "Yoshino actually." She was heading in that direction to begin with. She laughed nervously when he offered to escort her. Talking about spending time together as she poked her index fingers together, placing her new companion in her bag. "To tell you the truth I don't really have any friends yet... so I'm trying to get out more." She grinned at Kyle. Hoping that her answer wasn't too odd. Many questioned why a sweet girl like her didn't have friends. Well, partially because they all think she abandoned them after some time. There were things she struggled with that other people didn't understand at times. That was fine, Percy was used to getting left behind. However she clinged to human interaction like any other and now that her breeder profession dragged her out it was even more so that she had to work to not be so anti social.

[googlefont=Roboto Condensed] "Ah. That's a relief. Won't need to backtrack then."He sighed from relief, taking a deep breath as if a great deal was taken off of his responsibility. On second thought, there was no doubt that he'd absolutely regret his offer should she head to the other direction instead, regardless of whether he had time or not. At least he doesn't get to needlessly tire himself out this time. "Good," he responded in the hardest manner, before eventually softening up to a smirk. "Welcome to the club."It was a bit harsh to think about it, but he's somehow glad that he wasn't the only one in that predicament. Any connections he had prior had been cut off due to his acquaintances leading their lives elsewhere to further their aspirations while he was stuck at home for a while as he tried to reevaluate his life choices and any plans for the future. They did not result to anything, however, and simply got him to waste his time alone in his room, leading to his rather uneventful and stagnant life at present. At least he got to clear some games off from his library. He started working his way down, slowing down his pace as he was unsure how fast Percy prefers hers to be. "Friends come to you naturally, unless you're naturally unlikable. Don't worry much about it." He paused as soon as he reached even footing once more, turning to see if she needed assistance. "What have you been doing all this time though? Stuck yourself in a room to play games?" That's what he did after all, and why the number of friends he had dwindled down. MADE BY NOVA

IM JUST A BROKEN MACHINE Percy would have felt bad if she had forced him to back track. If she hadn't been heading that direction she could have just told him that she was actually going the other way. It probably would have happened too, as Jackie chuckled, the feathered creature flapping her wings indicated her pleasure. Percy smiled and pet the pokemon on the head as tucker hooted in delight. She turned to follow him, easily able to keep up. Though it was also easy for her mind to wander, looking from the ground off to the distance. Anywhere other than her current walking companion as she tried to conceal the nervous energy she had. The worst thing would be for anxiety to take her over when she had a potential friend in the mix. "Well, then I'm glad that I can offer to be your friend." she responded to his welcome to the club. Percy on the other hand... didn't really care either way. Friends became a hassle for her somewhere along the lines so she avoided that for some time. However reading various things told her lack of social interaction was bad. In order to make a good connection for her breeding it was also important for her to learn to deal with these things. His last comment though, had her smiling. He had it almost spot on. "Well they don't exactly come naturally to me." she muttered then. Percy had a bad habit of paranoia when she got too close to others. It cost her a lot of her high school connections. "I locked myself in my apartment and wrote books actually. From sixteen until now... that makes it five years. That's how I made my income I only went outside when I had to get groceries." When she thought about it. It actually was a bit impressive wasn't it. She hadn't thought of it as an accomplishment. While she would end up going hungry some nights, it was well worth the freedom... despite the problems that presented themselves to her now.

[googlefont=Roboto Condensed] Kyle didn't have much to say about the muttered words. He wasn't good at keeping friendships, but the few friends he currently has were. It wasn't more about the effort he gives to keep these relationship, but more on how lucky he was that he was 'adopted' by his more outgoing friends in a sense. He let the topic drop and die in the conversation naturally, opting to focus more on the less depressing and awkward part. "Oh, you actually write."For a moment, Kyle was actually jealous. If he was actually good at something, he was pretty sure he'd have followed a career path directly related to it, but alas, he had nothing he could say that he was proud of. "Earning at sixteen is incredible. Are you, like, some kind of writing prodigy or something?" What got more of an impact from him was that she never had to leave home. He had to imagine where that was a reality for him. He'd probably grow fat or something, but he figured that would be worth it. "So, what do you write?" he prodded. "Do you actually write romance novels?" He was more partial to action and adventure, more preferably if it was in a fantasy or a post-apocalyptic setting. Then again, he wasn't too picky with what he reads and everything eventually ends with him liking it as long as the plot was coherent and the characters developed nicely. MADE BY NOVA

IM JUST A BROKEN MACHINE Well she didn't want to dissapoint him. Though it seemed like she and Kyle had something in common. She was calm enough around him so there was that. She looked at the path ahead as she listened to him. Smiling as he called her a writing prodigy. "It's nothing like that, my dad kicked me out at sixteen. Writing was the only thing I knew how to do so I forced myself to try and make money off of it." She scratched the back of her neck. Thinking back on it she did suppose it was impressive. However, it wasn't something to seek after. She had dark nights and more essentially she had demons she never shared with anyone. Sometimes she couldn't even avoid them like she tried. As soon as Kyle asked about her writing, her eyes lit up. One of her favorite subjects. She blushed though at the mentioning of romance, it was her favorite subject but that was a secret. "Anything really! Romance, Mystery I've written it all. My favorites are fantasy though, I'm just no good at horror is all." she'd never been able to write something scary really. She felt like the words just didn't go down right. Though Percy could definitely write some scary things - her novels weren't so strict to one genre especially her fantasy but they still derived off of reality at times. "If you've ever read anything from the author Article then that'd be me." she laughed with a wide smile on her face.

[googlefont=Roboto Condensed] "Prodigy or not, you still have to say you have to be good to be earning with it."Kyle wouldn't comment on the following part. He'd been too close to getting the same end as her anyways. Although it wasn't explicitly taken to him, a few nudges and indirect methods were taken to force him to move. It was rightfully understandable though, and he wouldn't blame them for it. Unlike Percy, however, he didn't have anything to cling to as a means to start a future for himself on his own. "Article? Yeah, sounds familiar to me."He started recalling books that he would associate with the author. He didn't have as much books as he has games on his library, though that wasn't to say that there wasn't anything that he hasn't read yet. A few moments of thinking eventually brought up a certain novel. He couldn't recall the exact title, but he knew the author was Article. "The writing's pretty amateur compared to other established authors." Kyle would start to critique her works subconsciously, not even realizing that he has not been filtering his words at all. "The characters can get predictable at times. Setting's also pretty bland and-"He stopped midway before he could finally realize what was happening. He didn't stop to look at the reaction of the girl behind him and simply moved forward, though if one could see his face, his expression was contorted to an awkward smile as he tried to get himself out of the hole he had dug himself. "T-The plot's quirks make the story memorable though. The main characters mesh well with each other and..."At that point, he could tell he was trying too hard to make up for the blunder. He fell silent as he continued moving, waiting for a response from the author he was criticizing. MADE BY NOVA

IM JUST A BROKEN MACHINE Not necessarily to her, she's bought books she thought would be good only to think they were trash and unable to refund. It only took a couple of suckers to get some money. Then again Percy would like to think there were some genuine fans out there. Like that retired cop she'd talked with, how that had brightened her spirits. When Kyle began to speak of her work, Percy simply listened. She smiled and remained calm - things like this didn't bother her. Critique and opinion were what made an author if she had a disdain for it she probably wouldn't have made any money. Although, him trying to catch himself made her laugh a little. "There's no need to feel bad for talking bad of my work Kyle. Well I wouldn't entirely call it bad - critique's important in what I do." she smiled and looked forward. "I don't have some big publishing company to back me up so getting my foot in the door is hard. I was desperate and that's the only reason I pushed my novels so much. My first series was probably the worst set of stories I ever wrote. I took too much time cramming information down readers throats rather than telling a story." so it wasn't ass if she was off bars from mistakes. "I'll try to look up some character building classes, and now that I'm travelling more often my settings should get a little better. Half the reason their so bad is because I rarely went outside most of my information came from talking online, watching movies and what not." Percy was a lot more comfortable talking about her stories than anything else. It was hard for her to make friends but would she dare consider Kyle one? "Oh that reminds me.... could I have your number." she tried not to blush, she just liked to keep in contact with people she enjoyed being around. Making her cross her arms as Jackie chuckled on her shoulder.

[googlefont=Roboto Condensed] "Ah, something to finally fill the directory of my phone. Nice."He'd stop to grab his phone from his pocket, taking the device out and navigating through the screens until he had reached the directory. His phone has devolved from a communication device to a simple handheld gaming console, with the memory filled with games and screenshots instead of text messages from people and pictures. Aside from his family, the rest of his contacts haven't even reached a suitable amount of people. It wasn't like he wasn't giving his number out, though he supposed that he wasn't asking for other's number as well. Even if he did have them, he doubted he'd spend much time talking to them through messages. While it would have been the more obvious reaction for having his number taken by someone he just met, Kyle had forgotten the convictions others had made about an exchange of numbers. Handing his phone over to her, Kyle presented a smile, somewhat excited that someone was interested in contacting him. "Just type yours here. I'll send you my contact right after." The gesture was appreciated, much more so after she appeared not to be too disturbed with him harshly criticizing her work. MADE BY NOVA
