[attr="class","econtent"]Red had finally made his way to Yoshino City after what seemed like an eternity. Accompanying him was his Pichu, who he had just recently received. The Pokémon was small and delicate looking; however, it was capable of packing a punch with its electric type moves. After Red's father passed during their recent family vacation, he wanted to fill his father's shoes and become the next League Champion. The rookie trainer knew he had a while to go and a lot to learn, but he was determined.[break][break]

The city was on the smaller side, but that’s not to say it didn’t catch your eye. There was a flower field nearby as well as a fishing spot. Like all cities, there was a Pokémon Center and Poké Mart. Red had a little bit of cash and wanted to check out the mart, but, he would visit the Pokémon Center first to heal his Pichu.[break][break]

As he walked through the door, he heard a loud voice immediately over all the other people.[break][break]

"My Rattata is the best!" The voice shouted toward a small group of people. Red ignored the arrogant boy and made his way to the counter. The nurse behind it smiled and greeted the young trainer.[break][break]

"Welcome to the Pokémon Center! We can restore your Pokémon to full health." With that being said, she handed Red a small tray with six spots for Pokéballs to be held. His Pichu liked to follow on foot, but for this he had to enter his ball. The black-haired trainer held a basic Pokéball out and with a small beam of red light, his Pichu was now inside of it.[break][break]

He then handed the tray back to the nurse, who was still smiling. Red watched her has she placed it on what looked similar to an incubator. The nurse then pressed a button which began the healing process. After a few beeps, she lifted the tray off and handed Red back his Pokéball. The young trainer pressed the button to open the ball and out sprang his Pichu. "We hope to see you again!" The nurse exclaimed as Red waved, heading toward the exit.[break][break]

Just before he was about to open the door, an arm moved in front of him.[break][break]

"Hey you look weak! Let's battle!" It was the arrogant boy from before. He couldn't be much of a trainer if he picked on people who he deemed weak. Red nodded and proceeded to follow the young boy outside and onto the battlefield nearby. Without hesitation, the boy sent out his Pokémon. "Go Rattata!" Red tilted his hat down some to obscure his eyes.[break][break]

"Go get 'em Pichu!" With that said, his electric type Pokémon ran and leaped off of his shoulder and onto the battle zone. This would be Red's first official trainer battle and surprisingly, he wasn't nervous.[break][break]

[attr="class","econtent"]And just like that, Red's first Pokemon battle commenced! Both trainers were determined to win but there could only be one. The trainer in the blue cap issued out an order for his purple rat Pokemon to preform. Using its speed, the small Rattata maneuvered from left to right toward Red's Pichu.[break][break]

"Pichu lookout!" he shouted in concern for his yellow mouse Pokemon. However, his words didn't help any as the Rattata slammed into his Pokemon. Pichu was rocked back by the impact, but recovered pretty quick. When the purple rat made impact with Pichu, a small spark of static electricity was set off. This ability has a chance to cause the opposing Pokemon to become paralyzed. "You're doing great!, counter with a Thunder Shock!"

Pichu used Thunder Shock! & Attempted to inflict Paralysis (Static)

Pichu's Thunder Shock erupted from his body and launched toward the purple rat Pokemon. Before it hit however, Red did notice the Rattata tried to attack again and to his delight, the Pokemon was paralyzed. With that working in Pichu's and his favor, the Rattata took the full force of the Thunder Shock. The electric move caused a quick flash of light before fading away. Red uncovered his eyes and they fell upon an injured Rattata! The small purple rat looked badly injured, perhaps the yellow mouse's electric move was a critical hit.

"Alright Pichu, we have 'em where we want 'em! Use another Thunder Shock!" Red said to his Pokemon as he threw his hand forward and pointed in the direction of the injured Rattata. The small Pichu charged up another round of electricity in his body before unleashing it again against his opponent. Just as before, the move caused a bright flash of light and this time when it faded, either Red was going to be victorious or the trainers rat Pokemon was still going to be in the fight.
