Scrunching her nose, Chelsea set her gaze onto the incoming Lunatone, eyeing him warily. As discreet as it wanted to be, their intentions were transparent: they wanted to fight. "This is going to be tough," She thought out loud, "You have to hit them with a yawn before anything else, okay?" Humps nodded at this, well aware of their situation. After their run in with the Marill, the two had spent quiet a bit of time reviewing type match ups, and well, this was exactly the worse one for them to be put against. Not only was the Lunatone a rock type, but it's ability to levitate rendered his earthquake useless. Their only hope of winning was to put the agitated pokemon to sleep, then hit him with a massive flamethrower or lava plume. While fire isn't too effective, they had a clear advantage in terms of experience, so there a possibility that would make up for the type disadvantage.



Taking a step forward, the Numel approached his opponent, making sure to prepare for any incoming strike. The two pokemon shot daggers towards each other, keeping their sights interlocked in this glaring match off. Eventually the Lunatone broke this, generating a orange ball of energy in front of it. The ball grew bigger by the second, slowly rising above his head, looking much more like a sun than an attack. Then, without warning, the ball of energy released a beam of light towards Humps. Chelsea yelled at him seconds before impact, allowing the pokemon to awaken from it's frozen state and dodge the bullet of light. Anger fluttered within the Lunatone's chest, causing him to concoct another ball of energy - this one being a mesh of purples and blacks. "Hit him with a yawn now!" The trainer instructed from afar, pointing directly at the floating pokemon. Humps nodded at this and created a large purple bubble, allowing it to separate from his lips and float casually towards the Lunatone. The bubble eventually hit it, popping upon contact. Unfortunately, due to amount of focus he put into that ability, Humps was left open for the ray of energy that struck down from the ball. The initial impact threw him back a couple of feet.



Once hit with the bubble, the Lunatone began to drift asleep, only managing to remain awake for another few seconds or so. As this happened, Humps took the opportunity to shake off the damage he had just taken and unleash the familiar dragon of flames that had been resting within his gut. This, along with the explosion of lava that erupted from the ground, directly hitting the Lunatone.



The poor pokemon eventually fell to the ground, knocking out of consciousness.
