Azad had come a long way in a fairly short amount of time. No longer was he the simple student with a sole beldum at his side, no he was a full fledged trainer with a team of pokemon that by no means were to be under estimated. In the last weeks he'd been through a number of dangerous situations many of which threatened his life and his pokemon's lives and while the man had managed to stay atop of his work he felt there was something more he could have been doing. Something that should have been done, and most importantly a means to use the power he'd gained in the past weeks appropriately.
And so for a lack of a better word the researcher or rather the trainer had come out to the route to do some soul searching and to get some training in. He'd traveled far away from society for the most part in routes that almost reached the Kanto region. At his side he had a few pokemon traveling with him Nero and Fai for one seemed to be enjoying each others company as the man traversed some of the more dangerous portions of the route. Typically the man would have Aros accompanying him as well but the pokemon needed its rest and so for now at least the man would keep the steel type in its ball only calling upon the pokemon when it was absolutely necessary.
It'd been about two hours since making it out this far now Azad having stopped for a few breaks in between his travels and was now going deeper into the route moving ever closer to the pokemon league, not to challenge it or even to visit the site, but to search for some kind of answer to the numerous questions he had concerning his place in the pokemon world, and his focus in life as a whole.

The first pokemon was one that reminded him intimately of the fall of Madatsubomi tower. After all a quilava had much to do with it. This one didn't look quite as dangerous but still the pokemon appeared ready for a fight and so Azad would acquiesce calling out Fai for the first fight. Eevee would hop forward hazel eyes meeting the fire types falling into a stance.
"Take the offensive bite." The pokemon wasted no time hopping forward enlodging its teeth into the fire types side only for it to follow with a flame wheel knocking the eevee back. It's flames tearing the area apart forcing the eevee back to its trainer through the air. The normal type wasn't done yet using the momentum from the the technique to land on its feet before shaking off the damage. The pokemon was hit hard but Eevee was nowhere near done, the Quilava on the other hand was looking slightly shaky.
"Blind it with sand attack stay mobile." And so the eevee would moving around the battlefield faster than it was prior using any opportunity to kick dust and sand into the pokemon's eyes marring the fire type's vision. In response the fire pokemon would attempt to hit the fox pokemon with ember shooting small orange flares simply too slow to keep up with the eevee's speed. "Covet." Azad would order arms crossed analyzing the flow of the battle. With so much dust kicked up it was time to put it to use.
Following the command the eevee would move in a zig-zag pattern before slamming into the quilava's body feeling around for items finding none. The Quilava attempted to keep up with its limited fire type moves as Azad and Nero watched only to be countered at everypoint with the normal type's covet each hit wearing the fire type down until finally it collapsed leaving Fai as a dirty winner.

He continues onward to find a pokemon he's fought onnce prior. The flaming pokemon neighs as it stampedes around the fiery fields until it comes across the trainer and his two pokemon. Fai and Nero watch carefully as the fire type prepares for battle Azad eventually going for Fai if only because the type advantage wasn't as perilous as the formers something Nero didn't seem to have a problem with as the pokemon seemed much more intent on relaxing while things began to heat up.
While slightly weary from the former battle the pokemon still stepped up more than ready to take down the flaming horse even going as far as to take the first move. "Sand Attack." And so as it did before the normal type would sprint around kicking up a cloud of dirt and sand in the vicinity smothering the fire type more than effectively blinding the creature in an attempt to stop the eevee the ponyta would charge almost wildly with it's flame charge so wildly that even nero and Azad himself would have to work to avoid the blinded pokemon's rampage. "Follow with Covet."
Using that familiar zig-zagging pattern a white light would began to trail after eevee as the furred fox pokemon slammed into the ponyta continuously from different angles all the while attempting to feel for any items it may have hidden on its body finding none. Still the slams would continue bruising and beating the pokemon as it continued to charge no way to deal with the series of attacks eevee first to nimble for the larger horse to hit while blinded. "Azad simply crossed his arms smiling as he ordered the eevee to unleash the tactic once more another cloud of sand marring the horse's eyes.
With the combo in effect eventually the ponyta would simply collapse weariness and pain finally overcoming the fire type pokemon leaving Ponyta completely unconscious and the victor no less worse for wear. With the pokemon down the trainer would continue forward patting the small furred pokemon on the head Nero also giving a nod of congrats as the team of three moved forward.

The Final enemy comes in fast the hound pokemon jumping from the bushes ready to battle the enemy that'd come through taking down a variety of wild pokemon in the area. Azad stands tall unprepared for the fight Fai still weary from the previous is hesitant to take down a third pokemon, thankfully he doesn't have to upon appearance of the dark type pokemon Nero would fly forward brandishing its blades more than ready for a fight. Well rested and displeased by the sudden appearance and aggression of the fire type the pokemon stood tall wasting no time falling into a bladed battle stance.
Understanding his pokemon's spirit the trainer simply nodded. "Understood, be wary of its fire type attacks. Stay mobile and hit hard." The scyther gave a war cry signaling his understanding of the plan. It was time to really delve into the battle. "Double team post haste." In moments no less than 10 clones of the scyther would appear surrounding the hound who proceeded to flamethrower all of them in one swoop. Thankfully the actual Nero wasn't among the clones and would dive down from above. "X-scissor" And so with it's elongated glowing arms the pokemon would dive down slamming the blades into the hound's backside forcing it into the ground.
While the attack did a more than fair amount of damage the hound wasn't ready to quit just yet. Scyther would fly back over the flames towards the trainer as the houndour pulled itself up from the attack, now firing a torrent of flames at the sky bound pokemon each shot missing the agile bug pokemon. "Finish it with Razor Wind." It'd take time but it was the only technique the pokemon had that would put out the fire and take down the pokemon simultaneously, it'd take time but it was all up to the bug pokemon's ability to stay agile.
And agile it was.
The pokemon would duck and weave out of a number of flames wind beginning to swirl around the flying bug. By the time the hondour managed to score a flamethrower that was close enough to hit the pokemon it was too late. A blade of wind would cut through the fire before five more blades came immediately putting out the flames set by the fire pokemon, the final blade slamming into the houndour promptly knocking it unconscious.
With the threat taken down the trainer would prepare to camp for the evening, he'd done enough training for today at least.
