Vash had never really considered getting a psychic pokemon. It simply had never interested him. However, since the fall of Madatsubomi tower, the thought of having one hasn't left his mind. It is all thanks to the alakazam that saved them. Now he felt the need to get one because if he had had one back then he may have been able to help save people.
He had his phone in his hand looking over the dex entries for psychic types. His only requirement it looked like was the fact it couldn't be half steel. Scythia already had that typing covered and he definitely didn't want a team that held a strong weakness to fire.
"Well Tina, I guess we have to start looking," a part of him wondered as he spoke if the psychics would avoid them. With their ability to read peoples minds his intent to catch one was probably very clear to them.
The trapinch bobbed her head and began looking around. She was always good at spotting movement. Came with being a sand-trap pokemon. She could stay still for hours then lash out at the first sign of movement like it was nothing. This may take a while though.
Vash was pretty sure they shouldn't settle on the first one they came across. A test would definitely be needed to make sure they got one that was strong enough to help them. He hated to put it this way but if he caught one that is weak it wouldn't be useful enough to help with his job. An arm held desperately to the tiny form of a little pidgey, the small paws of an Eevee trailing after the woman as it occasionally looked behind itself to see the pursuers approaching. With each heavy breathing, the woman's vision bobbed in the motion of her running. Auburn hued eyes eventually catching sight of a person's form. Raising her hand up in the air, she waved it. "Excuse me! Please help me!"As the distance closed between the two, she instantly put the man and herself from the two Pokemon following after her. Pointing a digit in the direction of the two as Splendid hopped around to face the two Pokemon. The hair on his back raising as he growled menacingly as much as an Eevee can. Her arms enclosed around the Pidgey in hand even more as she stood there defensively. Black brows furrowing together, her white labcoat slowly falling at her legs at the stopped movement. Upon closer inspection one could see the uniform of a Nurse Joy on her personage, though the usual bright pink being replaced with a black colour instead. The dress just barely covering her legs. |  Ember x3 - Hit with Tackle and Confuse Ray

Vash hadn't been expecting trouble but it had found him. The raven haired woman rushed towards him only to hide behind him. Slightly confused but ready to help Vash looked towards what was scaring her so. The pair of psychic's not really giving him a cause for alarm. The one was half steel which meant it was a good chance to use his newest pokemon.
Tina was already ready for battle when she noticed her trainer reaching for another ball. A part of her was disappointed at being side lined but she knew the inexperienced needed all the experience they could get. So she watched as he released Arthur the torchic.
"Alright Arthur lets see what you can do," Vash said as the little bird popped out. The fluffy chick gave a chirp as it looked around quickly realizing they were helping someone. It was time to live up to his noble name it seemed.
He knew why he was called out and he knew for what pokemon. He rushed at the bronzor spewing an ember from its maw. It wasn't much but the burn left behind was a decent size. The bronzor becoming angry as it rushed the torchic tackling it to the ground.
The torchic responded with another ember and the bronzor was quick to realize going at it head-on wasn't good enough. It's eyes focused on the torchic as its body vibrated releasing a confusion ray. The world seemed to warp in the little birds vision making him chirp in alarm. He could still see colors but they sort of ran into one another like a painting ruined by rain.
His foe had been right in front of him though and he could still see the blue. it stood out against green and brown. So he spat one more ember. The flame licking at the bronzors face blinding it and making it turn and run. It couldn't win against a fire type.
"Good work Arthur," Vash said before turning to the woman. "Are you alright?" WON |

[attr="class","joy2"] [attr="class","joy1"] [attr="class","joyless"]As she watched the man respond to her plea for help, she turned her gaze towards the the chingling that menacingly hovered in spite towards the three. Pulling her legs together and gaining a more confident posture, she gave the small pidgey a smile before turning her intense gaze to the chingling. It was going to get a world of hurt from this Nurse Joy. "Splendid." she called out gaining the Eevee's attention. "Bite."That seemed to be the only command that the Eevee really needed before it rushed off towards the Chingling, opening his little maw to take a huge chunk of the Chingling in his mouth. Biting down hard every intensity the Eevee had, a small squeal erupted from the Chingling. The Chingling did its best to wriggle away from Splendid's teeth. Hovering a few paces with a gasp, glowering for a moment it sent its little ribbon on its head out to wrap around the Eevee. Tightening its grip on the Eevee, Splendid gave out a little squeak, but hardened its little black eyes on the Chingling. It was ready to murder the thing. Splendid used Bite! It was super effective!
Chingling used wrap. Splendid is unable to escape. Lunging forward one more time, he sank his sharp teeth into the Chingling. A large yelp coming from the Psychic Pokemon as Splendid growled and shook the Chingling trapped within his sharp little teeth. Giving one last yelp, the Chingling became limp in the jaws of Splendid. Only a few seconds later did Splendid finally release his tight grip on the Chingling, not willing to let a fake faint psych him out. Deeming the Chingling really and truly out for the count, he happily pads his way towards Joy setting his sweet gaze on her. Splendid used Bite! It was super effective!
Chingling fainted!
Splendid leveled up! Seeing the battles end relatively quickly for the both of them, she turns towards Vash and gives a small stiff bow in his direction. Straightening her posture to look at him more closely now that the little Pidgey wasn't in any danger. "Thank you for your help. I'm Nurse Joy and I was on my way to transport this little Pidgey to the Pokemon Center located in Enju City." she started in an almost automatic, pleasant voice. Clearing her throat, she takes a step back as she readjusts her posture into a little less happy Nurse Joy. "Could you accompany me through the route?"Do you help Nurse Joy?

| PEck x3 - meditate and confusion x2

"Of course," Vash said motioning her to walk beside him. He had no trouble helping since it was part of his duties as a ranger. He looked to the pidgey wondering what had happened to it to put it on the verge of death like that.
Arthur hopped on Tina's back trying to hitch a ride. The already slower pokemon slowing down then rolling over to toss him off. He gave a sheepish smile at the trapinch who snapped at his tail feathers lightly sending him on his way. The torchic happy to run ahead and out of range of that big maw.
"It is not often I run into a Nurse Joy on the routes," Vash said smiling a bit as the torchic passed them by. In fact this would be the first time. "Are you an emergency nurse or was this coincidence?"
Okay so he went a bit far ahead. Arthur paused chirping as he waited for everyone to catch up. The small form seeming even smaller in the large open space. He looked around curiously to find something to do while he waited. A round white object stood out among the green and he cocked his head curiously. He approached softly but jumped back with a scared chirp as it suddenly moved.
Vash looked ahead in alarm as he heard Arthur's sharp cry. He watched the torchic fluff up in the middle of the path staring at something out of sight. The bird bobbing its head as though it was trying to figure out what it saw itself. He didn't look harmed though which was a relief.
The torchic approached again giving a questioning chirp as the pokemon refused to move. Was it alive? Arthur reached out with his beak giving a peck to check. He was met with an irritated stare. Yep it was alive alright and he just made it mad. He gave an apologetic chirp only to have the psychic type enter his mind.
The torchic's vision blurred into a bunch of colors. Alarmed and unsure what to do it tried to right itself only to fall back on its rump. A pitiful noise coming from its beak as it tried to shake off the change in vision. It wasn't hard to notice the change and Vash was quick to assume another pokemon was to blame. It didn't take long to notice the meditite who seemed quite content watching the torchic struggle.
Arthur blew out an ember and the color red blasted his vision. The ember missed of course but after that bright blast of color things seemed to be a bit more normal now. Blurred and running together but the white was there. He doubted he could aim well so he needed to use something physical like his peck attack he did earlier. So thats what he did. Displeased the meditite tried confusing him again but since the first hadn't worn off it didn't really do much. The meditite protected its sore head as he pecked again and just ran off.
Arthur turned to try and say look what I did but ended up falling over as his world shifted colors. Vash raised a brow. While physically no worse for wear he figured mentally the torchic was probably tired. So he returned him smiling slightly as he let him rest. He hadn't been sure about a fire type but now he kind of liked the idea. WON |

A hand raising to softly pet the Pidgey's head as she kept her watchful gaze on the paved road. With a soft shake of her head, she watched as Splendid hopped forward to follow after the Torchic. "You could just say it was a coincidence."Noticing that the Torchic was going to get into some trouble, Splendid sent out a warning noise in the Pokemon's direction. However, it didn't seem to do much of any good as a Meditate suddenly appeared causing the Torchic to fall back in light confusion. Running forward, he was promptly stopped by a rock being thrown in his direction at great speeds. Falling to the side and wincing, he looked in the direction of the Solrock floating there with a punkish attitude. Most likely a friend of the Meditate. Blinking once and then twice, he fluttered his small little eyes at the Solrock. Charming the Pokemon into not thinking that he was really any threat at all. Eevee uses charm!
Solrock used Rock Throw! Once he had lured the Solrock into letting down his attack, he lunged forward and bit onto the Pokemon. Causing the Pokemon to squirm around and fling Splendid right off of it. Puffing up with anger it shot out a flare of fire at the Eevee, the impact making him fall back with a large squeal. This turn of events caused Joy to rush forward as he began to hear the sound of fighting happening. Eevee uses Bite!
Solrock used Flare Blitz! she hollared, brows furrowing together with intensity. Upon hearing the encouraging words from his trainer, he slowly pushed himself up and launched forward to bite at the Solrock once more. A shuffle of forms and the Solrock managed to tackle the Eevee to the ground. Both looking pretty worse for wear, they stared at one another with intensity in their eyes. Eevee uses Bite!
It made a critical hit!
Solrock fainted!
SPLENDID LEVELED UP! Rushing forward, Eevee quickly went into for another large bite delivering a final blow to the Solrock as it yelped and fell to the ground unconscious. With heavy breaths, Splendid came limping back towards his trainer before collapsing at her feet. Kneeling down she quickly pulled out a potion from her bag to spray on the Eevee as she took a moment to tend to him. "I'm really not much of a trainer, unfortunately, so I really appreciate your help..."x3 Potions were used on Splendid.
He is fully healed. "As a ranger I have a duty. There is no need to thank me for this. I'm simply glad to be able to help," Vash said watching her and her eevee. "She alright?"
Tina looked around as she heard something move. They really weren't about to give them a break, were they? No matter she could end whatever it was in one fell swoop. Much like the eevee she also knows bite. The dark move providing them with plenty of protection in the past. It was her go to when fighting.
The pink form peeked out from behind them its blue hat bobbing as it gripped a tree watching. The eyes of the one pokemon locking onto it had the pokemon somewhat freezing in fear. Her eyes showed no humor in them just a warning to back off. The pokemon closed its eyes willing the trapinch away. It was just curious about the humans and what they possibly had in their pockets.
It's eyes were closed and Tina moved closer stalking it. Its eyes opened and she paused. Its eyes had widened and it froze a moment then it started to mimic her. Unamused the trapinch walked forward with the mime approaching her as well. She stopped just a hairsbreadth away and then launched herself at the pink pokemon. Her jaws latching on to its midsection. Alarmed and in pain it tried its best to get away. It tried tickling her but it only lasted a moment and all it did was loosen her grip a bit before she retightened it. She shook her head violently and then tossed it off to the side.
Injured and no longer curious the Mime Jr dragged itself under a brush to hide. Vash looked back knowing he had heard Tina doing something. The trapinch was just trotting back towards them though her head high. He knew he had little reason to worry about her. She was a master at knocking things out to protect him.
"We can't stay here for long. Let's head on back," Vash said urging the woman and her eevee to continue moving. WON |

[attr="class","joy2"] [attr="class","joy1"] [attr="class","joyless"]Pursing red painted lips, she didn't respond right away to Vash's comment. Focusing on fixing Eevee up until he was back to jumping around with excitement once all his wounds had been healed up. Pushing herself up to stand, a hand patted at her knees before curling her arms around the pidgey more. Frowning slightly as she looked down at the Pidgey. "He'll be fine, what I'm more worried about is this Pidgey."Glancing at him briefly, she started out once more before stopping in her tracks as she notice another Pokemon crop up. She took a step back as the Eevee jumped forward to keep distance between the Mime Jr. and Joy, yet it seemed the Trapinch took care of the problem at hand. Nodding her head in thanks, she continued forward. For a few minutes as they continued walking there was no trouble to be had until a Girafarig galloped out of the bushes. Her lips parted as she was about to ask Vash to help with this Pokemon, but Splendid had other ideas. It seemed he felt like he needed to make up for the tough fight he had before. Puffing out the fur on his chest he started running towards the Girafarig to scare it off. Seeing the Eevee head towards it, its eyes flashed a colour as a swap seemed to switch between the two Pokemon. Launching into the air the Eevee took a bite out of the Girafarig's neck. Girafarig used Power Swap!
Splendid used Bite! It was a critical hit! The attack was spot on as Eevee got a good direct hit at the Girafarig's jugular. Squealing at the attack, it reared back to shake the Eevee off and try attacking once more. Rearing back to hit the Eevee square in the shoulder, falling back and skidding. Splendid rushed forward to take another quick chunk of the Girafarig. Girafarig used
Tackle!
Splendid used Bite! Before the Pokemon was able to react after the Bite, Splendid rushed forward for a final quick attack. Hitting it right on the rump, the Pokemon just gave out a slow moan and then galloped back towards the bushes. Jumping up once happily, he turned around to swagger back to Joy's feet with a very proud look on him. Giving a humoured smiled at the Eevee, she glanced over her shoulder towards Vash to give a nod of acknowledgement that they should continue forward on the path. Hopefully with no further interruptions. Splendid used quick attack!
Girafarig fainted!
