[attr="class","joyless"]The happy prances from Splendid only seemed to increase as he was complimented by the bikini woman. Giving an approving sound he began hopping around her feet only briefly before returning to his Nurse's side, turning his attention towards the three large Pokemon gathered around the green haired one. Flicking his ear to the side as he watched with bated breath at their response, Nurse Joy merely placed a hand on her hip as she awaited the answer. She could tell that the woman was atuned with her Pokemon, allowing them to roam freely within the Safari grounds at their own discretion. Not overly interested in lording over her power over the Pokemon.

A soft breath of air escaped the black locked woman's nose at the announcement made. Even as her Pokemon seemed fairly disinterested in getting acquainted with others, she seemed that it would be ok. Stepping forward, she clapped her hands together to finalize the deceleration. "Excellent, Splendid and I will be delighted to work with you."

Auburn hues changed their attention at the low growl emanating from the Gyrados. Splendid's own fur sticking out in all directions as he crouched at the ready, his eyes glowering in the direction of the Drifloon. As the call of an attack was made, Joy placed a hand out to stop the Eevee. At the command, he pulled himself up and placed a dopey happy appearance back on him. Sniffing briefly and prancing off in a direction that caught his attention. Raising an eyebrow, she briefly glanced in the direction of the engagement before silently following after the Eevee. Pulling out a pair of circular sunglasses to place on her face and pull out a laced parasol, the shade casting a shadow over her form as she began walking after.

Pawing at the ground, he sniffed the ground briefly before perking up and making his way through a foliage of grass to pop out the other end out of sight. Following after at a leisurely pace, her gaze centered on what had caught Splendid's attention. Sitting a ways from them was a Chansey yawning holding her little hands on her egg. Catching sight of the slowly stalking Splendid, she popped up onto her feet and held onto her egg in a protective manner.

"It's okay. We're not after your egg, Chansey." she interjected with a calm look on her face, holding a palm out. Standing in a defensive posture, Splendid let out a small growl. Stepping in front of the Eevee, she looked over her shoulder to give the Pokemon a look. "We're here to make friends, Splendid."

At the mention of friends, he instantly perked up and pranced a few paces towards the Chancey. Who in return only looked at the Eevee and the human warily. Sensing that she wasn't being convincing enough, she crouched down with her knees placed together the black material just halfway on her thigh rising up slightly. Reaching around to her small bag, she rummaged around before pulling out a small box. Craning her neck to the side to hold the parasol in place, her hands worked on prying the lid of the box off before setting it on her lap. Reaching into the box, she pulled out a pink coloured egg. Extending it out towards Chansey with a warm smile spreading on her lips. "This is for you, it's like your egg but I made this myself."

Side eyeing the egg, Joy, and the happy go-lucky Eevee, she finalized her attention the egg as she began to slowly approach. One tentative step forward and then another, just when it was close enough for it to reach, it's little arm extended out to take hold of the egg and quickly pull it towards her body. Looking at the item with wonder she gave it a small sniff before taking a cautious bite out of it. As the flavour began to settle on her pallet, she perked in excitement at the flavour. Taking another bite and marveling at the flavour, pretty soon she began to scarf down the whole egg.

Placing a hand to her lips, Joy gave a soft giggle at the excitement exhibited by the Chansey. Briefly looking over her shoulder to check if Noelani had finished and tried approaching, her attention is caught by the coughing from the Chansey. Quickly turning her head back to the pink Pokemon, her brows pulled together in concern as the Chansey continued to cough as if she had eaten the egg a bit too soon. Rifling through her bag to see if she had anything for the Chansey to drink, she pulls out a small insulated bottle. Opening it up, she handed it to the Chansey as she made a drinking gesture with her free hand.

Taking hold of the bottle with both hands, the Chansey hastily began to drink down the concoction located within the container. As seconds ticked by and she continued to drink it without stop, Nurse Joy stiffened at the relentless drinking. "H-Hey....Don't drink it all!"

She wanted some too.....

Letting the bottle down with a satisfied glow, she beams towards Joy and shuffles closer towards her. Holding the bottle out and giving excited noises at her. Taking back her less heavy bottle, she watched in mild exasperation at how happy the Chansey was to drink her coffee. Looking at the bottle, she closes it and puts it away in the small bag. Patting Chansey on the head with a small smile, "Better now, hm?"

"Chansey." she called out to gain the beaming Chansey's attention. Making an inquisitive sound, it placed a hand to its mouth and canted their head. Reaching into the inner parts of her dress, she pulled out a small great ball and showed it to the Chansey. "Would you be interested in joining my team?"

The Chansey's eyes glanced at the small ball and then towards Joy's face. Briefly glancing at Spelendid, it looked back and gave a firm nod. Holding her little hands out and giving a happy sound. Pressing the button on the safari ball to enlarge it, she gave it a small toss towards the Chansey as she initiated the capture.

HER EYES CAST back over to find an empty space where the other woman once stood, lashes blinking slowly over her eyes as she stared toward the now clearly visible gate where she had expected to find her new traveling partner. Her field of vision only barely shifted from left to right, a hand rising to curl its fingers and press its knuckles to her chin.[break][break]

Her pokémon were all fully aware of the stranger's movements, but it would be Magikarp that was the first to lower his bulky head, nudging a bony cheek to his trainer's shoulder to nod to the parasoled woman standing tense before the greedy Chansey taking advantage of the raven-haired trainer's generosity.[break][break]

With the woman's location pointed out, the supposed professor turned in her place, steps following after. It only took a brief moment to close the distance, the woman not having wandered far enough that the student wouldn't have been able to find her if she had thought to simply turn her head in her minimal-effort search.[break][break]

Her lips parted as Chansey's form disappeared in a ray of light, a warm smile bubbling to her lips as her calm stare rest itself on the back of the stranger's head.[break][break]

❝ Congratulations, ❞ she offered gently, the lazy Persian previously looming at her side finally catching up to continue in his lurking, a disinterested stare fixing itself on the subject of his master's attention.[break][break]

Their new location seemed to attract some unwanted attention however, as Magikarp's massive head found itself placed just beside the nest of an irritable pair of young Fletchling. One was more quick to strike out than the other, the female opening her wings to swoop low from the boughs of the tree as her partner darted to strike at the monster's heavy blue scales with his beak.[break][break]

Its beak bounced off harmlessly, the Gyarados' eyes turning slowly to fix the little bird with the same disinterest his Persian partner had shown. The light tap, however, was enough to claim the researcher's attention, her gaze pulling up toward the fluttering fire type as it puffed up its chest in threat.[break][break]

❝ Dratini, ❞ she spoke toward the long blue pokémon clearly having evolved since it gained its moniker. ❝ Knock Fletchling down with twister. ❞[break][break]

Dratini lowered her head, winglike fins giving a small twitch as her tail coiled inward before whipping itself out with controlled force, the spiralling motion stirring up the wind to summon a twist of raging winds to cut through the air in Fletchling's direction. The gust ripped the bird out of the sky, its frantic form being thrown about the encircling wind before it managed to break free, darting toward Dratini instead in a burst of amber feathers.[break][break]

Its beak was able to leave a small mark on the soft-skinned dragon's body, though the bird was looking far more harried from the experience than its opponent.[break][break]

❝ Dragon tail, ❞ Noelani instructed, her gaze following after the bird's sporadic movements as it danced and dropped through the air, using what little energy it had left in a fearful attempt to keep mobile.[break][break]

Dratini's body circled carefully, muscles coiling tight before whipping out her tail in a rush to meet with her opponent.[break][break]

The fire type's body went shooting back from the impact, wings bowed forward as it soared backward through the air, disappearing into the towering stalks of grass behind it.[break][break]

With the one taken care of, the scientist's eyes checked over the area carefully for the second.

[attr="class","joyless"]Reaching into the front of her dress, she pulled out Chansey's Pokeball and gave it a light toss to the ground. A flash of light appearing as the ball returned to her hand with ease, tucking it away once more in her dress. The pink gave the area a quick look over before quietly waddling over to her new trainer, eyes warily glancing at the beefy Pokemon just a short distance away. Adjusting her arm with Splendid curled in it, she followed after Noelani as she took point. Auburn eyes watching the woman's Pokemon sleuth around her as they made their way towards the water. Splendid gave a happy noise at the sight, hopping right out of her arms to prance to the liquid.

As Splendid pass Noelani and he made his way to the edge, Joy's attention was caught by the furious Tangela that came out of the bushes. Skating out of the way, knowing full well that Noelani's Pokemon was more than capable of taking care of things, she made her way towards the wandering Eevee. Coming to a stop at the edge and watching the Eevee contentedly lap at the water, a hand came to her hip as she watched in mild amusement. Both of their attention caught when a Horsea popped up from the shallow water to squirt water at Eevee's face. Sputtering, Splendid recoiled at the action as Joy took a step back out of shock. She supposed she should have tread more carefully at a Safari full of dangerous Pokemon.



In a flash of colour, a pink object rushed past her vision to land a heavy hitting blow at the Horsea allowing for only a splash to be seen and heard. Out of instinct, Joy pulled her parasol down to cover herself from getting drenched. Once she was sure that the water had died down, she pulled it away to reveal a very 'pissed' off Chansey staring a Horsea down. The seahorse gave a burst of steam from his little mouth, returning the stare down from the towering Chansey.



The Horsea's eyes narrowed as a flash of light from his leering eyes glowered towards Chansey, and though she was slightly frightened from such an intense glance she didn't back down. Rushing forward she sent out a pink little hand out to slap the Horsea right in the face and then pulled her other arm out to give an opposing slap before pulling that off three more times followed but what really seemed like her thoroughly telling the female Horsea to shove it.



A hand came to her lips as she was surprised by the intense anger she was getting from usually such a happy and kind Pokemon. Her gaze drifted away and she silently laughed to herself, she should be completely concerned by such behavior but it was just too hilarious to not laugh at. The sound of water gushing out came to her ear as she turned her attention back to Chansey get soaked in the face with a water gun. Falling back into the water and rolling around for a moment in the shallow waters, she righted herself and threw herself on top of the Horsea in a reckless tackle. Crunching the water Pokemon under her weight, a very unprepared squeal emanating from right under Chansey. Pulling herself up to inspect the Horsea, she pulled her tiny little arms up into the air as if daring the Horsea to get back up and challenge her. Seeing no movement from beneath her, she pulled her little arms down and stomped back over towards Joy.



"Ch-Chansey! So vicious~" she sputtered out in a laugh, kneeling down to pat the Chansey on the head. The only reply she gained was a rather disgruntled noise from the pink Pokemon. Pulling herself back up, she made her way back towards Noelani to check to see how things had fair for her in return. Auburn hues trailing along the grass to find the unconscious Tangela and then slowly glance towards the Dragonair. "I hope you all are having fun."

NOELANI SLOWED AS she neared the water's edge, gaze lifting to admire the flickers of light reflecting off its peaceful surface. The sudden appearance of Horsea drew her attention to the little seahorse, a warm smile pulling at her lips as she rose a hand to offer it a still wave in greeting. Horsea seemed hardly interested in humoring however, spouting a water gun at the unsuspecting Eevee, though it was promptly punished by the unforgiving wrath of Joy's Chansey.[break][break]

The trainer blinked as she watched after the round pink pokémon dishing up a proper beatdown for Splendid's offender, head tilting slightly as she stood passively to the side, Gyarados and Kitten both opting to ignore the affair, the former curling his body to rest at the edge of the water as the Persian on the opposite side of his trainer padded out into the lake, the water rising about his form with each step until he waded out far enough that his paws no longer touched the bottom.[break][break]

Dratini arrived in time to catch the tail end of the fight, making a small berth around Chansey's battle to avoid becoming the next victim of the egg-bearing monster's rage. Her eyes turned over the water as she slowed to stop beside her trainer, though movement from the grass nearby was quick to steal her attention. Her gaze slid cautiously to peer through the green stalks, a brief flash of pink inspiring a low, mournful cry from the dragon to direct her trainer's focus to the new arrival.[break][break]

A wild Chansey peeked its face through the grass, stubby arms holding the blades apart as she gazed over the pokémon in cheerful curiosity. Dratini lowered her head carefully, readying herself for a battle before the swimmer at her side held up a hand signalling for the pokemon to withhold its attack.[break][break]

❝ Hello Chansey, ❞ the woman greeted, smiling warmly toward the round, egg-shaped pokémon.[break][break]

The Chansey responded with a cheerful chirp in greeting, feet pushing to the ground to bounce its body forward with a small hop before waddling steps carried it toward the group, stubs of hands held at the egg resting in its pouch. Its body wobbled left and right as it approached the scientist, arms moving to pull the egg resting against its belly up into the air in a friendly offer toward Noelani.[break][break]

The trainer chuckled softly at the action, her gaze pulling to the Dragonair craned cautiously at her side. The dragon's eyes drifted toward the studying professor briefly, watching as her hand retreated from its silent command to rest her fingers thoughtfully against her chin. It took a moment for the soft-skinned serpent to understand, her gaze passing back to the wild Chansey as it bounced on its toes, pleading the acceptance of its gift.[break][break]

Dratini reached carefully to set her mouth about the egg, eyes set curiously on the Chansey's as it retracted its hold with a happy cheer.[break][break]

She simply sat there for a moment, awkward, before swallowing the egg down, half-braced for a painful surprise. Her lids fluttered over her eyes quickly as an attack never came, body twisting to loop over itself as she gazed toward her stomach, truly stunned the egg had done nothing to harm her.[break][break]

❝ Chansey is a nice girl, isn't she? ❞ Noelani pondered aloud, her eyes following as the pokémon waddled next toward Magikarp. The standoffish beast turned his face away with a snort as it pulled another miraculous egg from its pouch, shifting from one foot to the other eagerly as its little tail bobbed back and forth with glee.[break][break]

❝ Do you want to battle? ❞ the swimmer offered, her hands moving to lace their fingers behind her back as she shifted her weight, watching the pokémon with a gentle smile.[break][break]

The pokemon immediatley panicked, bouncing back and forth between its feet as it glanced around frantically for the quickest route of escape. Its fear was only met with a gentle chuckle.[break][break]

❝ We don't have to, ❞ the scientist assured, her hand reaching for the zipper of her bag to ease it open slowly, careful not to startle the nervous Chansey.[break][break]

❝ Here, ❞ she said, easing a dark blue berry from her bag. Holding the treat at the center of her palm she kneeled toward the ground, offering the snack toward the curious pokémon.[break][break]

Chansey set its egg back to its pouch as it waddled forward, arms outstretched to accept its gift with small pink lips parted in awe, dark eyes eager and wide.[break][break]

Claiming the berry from the woman's hold it tossed it into the air, leaning a short ways forward to catch the berry in its mouth and give it a chew.[break][break]

It was pleasantly surprised with the sweet taste, lips pulling into a bright smile as its arms pat lightly against her belly, body rocking back and forth with joy as it chewed away.[break][break]

Dratini glanced toward her trainer before she fully relaxed, body uncurling itself carefully as her attention set back on Chansey, curious.[break][break]

❝ We're all here to get stronger, ❞ Noelani informed, glancing over her shoulder toward Magikarp's spike-finned back and the swimming figure of the Persian setting its face to the water to wet its whiskers before drawing back to shake the droplets from its fur. His tail swayed pleasantly against the water, obviously pleased to have a swim.[break][break]

❝ Do you want to come along? ❞ she asked as her gaze fell back toward Chansey.[break][break]

The pink pokemon tilted her head at the question, still chewing at the berry a moment before swallowing it down in a large gulp.[break][break]

Noelani's hand reached for her bag again, this time pulling out a safariball. She held the orb out for Chansey's inspection, allowing it a curious sniff before turning it around in her hand to face it.[break][break]

With a gentle, welcoming smile she pressed the orb to the Chansey's belly, a bright light erupting from the orb as the pokémon disappeared from view in an attempted capture.
