Sprider would walk over the grass of the route number 29 with eyes set on some strong pokemon. He would glace over the patch of grass in front to find a pokemon sitting in meditation posture. Sprider would look at his fiery little beast and ask “How good is that?” At the same time, he would take out his pokedex and point the camera at the new pokemone he had found. It would say “Meditite, the meditating pokemon. A combination of fighting and psychic. It undergoes under vigorous training and even after that a berry a day keeps its stomach full. But the time it meditates, it loses its confidence and hence the cycle of training and meditating goes on and on.”

“Wow, that is some information.” Sprider would mumble. Charmander would look at Sprider and swing its tails which means he was ready for some action. That also meant that meditite was not that little fiery beast’s type. Sprider said “Well then, let us wake him up from his meditation.”

Sprider would command his Charmander “Dragon Rage on the meditator. Show it what that mouth can do.” Charmander would shout “char char” with determination to prove that he is the best for his master. Little did he know, that he would always be the best for his master, no matter what legendary he adopts Charmander would stay the best pokemon he could ever had. The little fiery beast opened its mouth and charged a small blue ball of energy and then released it upon the meditite. The pokemon took a hit as it was meditating.” Sprider thought “What is it trying to do?”

Actually the pokemon in front used meditate to increase the attack stat. Sprider commanded “It does not look interested in us. Let us finish this with flamethrower as your circle it.” Charmander swung his tail and increased the flame. It only meant one thing. He wanted to finish what he started. He started running in circles around it and spew flame out of his mouth upon the about to be knocked out pokemon. It faced a heavy amount of damage and feeling frustrated it attacked on charmander which was quick and powerful. The attack was named confusion but it was not able to impart the same status to Sprider's favourite little fiery beast. Sprider shouted “Charmander. Evade anymore attack and finish it with another dragon rage.”

Sprider's Charmander was still quick and he threw a energy ball on the meditite to finish it. The meditite fell on its back with eyes that looked exhausted. The pokemon was knocked out and it was time to move ahead.

Sprider looked at his Charmander and said “No body can replace you my fiery little beast.” The Charmander would be plastered with a grin on his face and would swing the tail in happiness. The two started walking ahead in a hope that the next might be some pokemon, Charmander would love to fight alongside.

Taking the meditie down, charmander was too happy. Swinging its tail here and there. He could not wait to find more pokemon. Walking a few more steps saw the trainer-pokemon duo meet a fighting type pokemon on their way. Sprider took out his pokedex to scan the grey colored pokemon and know it’s species. It said “Machop, the superpower pokemon. It is known to lift graveler just like it is some barbell. It could roam the whole world to know all of the type of martial arts in the world. It likes nutritious food because it is its natural instinct to build muscles.”

Sprider looked at his charmander and asked “What do you think about him?” Charmander wagged its tail because it wanted more action. Sprider said “Okay then! Little fiery beast, use flamethrower and evade it when it attacks.” They looked of the same level.

Charmander said “char char!” what Sprider felt meant that he was already ready for it. Flamethrower was his favorite attack. The machop did not move when he saw the charmander run at him. Instead he just stood and focused on his energy. Charmander flared up his tail and spew flame from his mouth onto the superpower pokemon. It got inflicted with a burn in the attempt. Sprider commanded his charmander“Now you fiery little beast, double it up!”

The charmander narrowed his eyes in determination and spew flame at the machop. At the same time, the machop came running from the flames to Karate Chop charmander. It was super effective. Could have been a critical hit, but the charmander absorbed a lot of it. It still stood on its ground looking at Machop. Machop felt burn dancing on its skin which made him fall to his knee. Charmander looked at Sprider like it wanted to say something. As far as Sprider knew him, he did not ask to give up the fight to save him. But it means something else. Charmander pointed at it and said “char char char char charr..” All these meant one thing. Charmander feel they are on the same level and having a machop in the same team can prove beneficial. Sprider asked “You asking me to catch it?” Charmander nodded his head in approval.

So before Machop could stand properly on his two legs, Sprider threw the pokeball he got from the professor. The Pokeball fell on it and transmuted it into a red light and absorbed it in. The ball rolled on either side and all Sprider could do was wait and see if the machop wanted to join them or not.

The pokemon was captured and Sprider smiled as he looked at his charmander. The fiery little beast smiled back at him. He wagged its tail in a fun manner. He was happy to find someone equivalent to him in terms of power. It said “char char.. Charmander.” from all of their past talks, he knew that the charmander asked him to take the machop out. Sprider said “Let us first heal it. We can talk to it later. By the way, keep your head up. You did a great battle out there.” and the two would walk towards the nearest pokemon center.
