Roy Case was officially out of leads. He knew coming into this case that it wasn't too likely he'd come out the other side the answers. Still, returning to Kogane without answers again seemed like such a failure, he had to exhaust every option. The gangster resolved that visiting the tower would be his last shot. Unless he found something new, the case would be over and done with. The last time he'd visited these ruins he'd found nothing but ghosts, silence and police, two thirds of which he felt were completely unjustified.
For now, it was just the silence. Roy case endured a blisteringly hot afternoon frustrated and interrogative. He questioned every person that passed and only got more combative as the day bore onwards, especially since everybody seemed all to eager to just blow the boy off.
Kikyo was really the city of misfortune for this troubled gangster. "Oldie goldie, can I ask you-?"
"What do you want, boy?" The older passerby asked quickly.
"Do you know anything about who might've blown this tower here?!" Roy was practically yelling his question. Even if this geezer didn't quite know the answer, he could hope that perhaps some other stranger out there in the town would be able to provide some clue. The passerby merely shook his head, and nobody instantly responded. The question struck another dead end. Roy had drawn another blank.

I KNEW YOU WERE TROUBLE WHEN YA CAME IN The buzz of the cicada lulled once more as the sun passed its judgement on the world. It was taking all she had to keep her sweat to a minimum as she swept the dust off what was once the main walk towards the now fallen tower. She lifted her head and stared down the rest of the wide stone slabs she had yet to get to before turning her head back towards the pile of rubble that now sat on the foundation of the tower. Sigh, she missed that place. She missed the people that came to train and the locals that stopped by just to reminisce.
Her weight shifted to one sandal clad foot letting her thoughts wander to the memories of what the temple grounds used to look like. "Do you know anything about who might've blown this tower here?!"
The shout caused her to jerk upright, taking her weight off the end of the broom stick and look towards the stairs. "Whut in the hell..." she muttered to herself as her brows dropped into a knit of curiosity. Moving to the top of the shrine steps she peered down their tree clad sides to find a young punk harassing the elderly. A delinquent gone rogue? Not on her watch. She moved down the stairs half way and took a stance. "HEY!" she snapped, her left hand dropping in a fist to her hip as her right pointed the handle of the broomstick down at the punk. "Yer s'posed ta respect yer elders! Unless thur hard of hearin then ye kin yell at em, that's aight." the broom lowered back to it's bristles beside her foot as she started to make the rest of the way down and stopped three steps shy of the bottom. Her eyes narrowing while giving a critical over view of the man in front of her from her lofted stance before turning her head towards the elderly seemingly caught in the middle.
A smile swept across her features all the way up into her eyes. "Dun worry darlin I got this. Ya have a good day now!"
"...kids." the old man stared before side stepping and continuing on his way.
One Matsuboni, two Matsuboni, three Matsuboni, four Matsuboni, five Matsuboni Eden mentally counted waiting for the man to be out of ear shot before whipping back to the angry teen in front of her. "Aight ya renegade kin I help you?" ✖ 000 NOTES Notes. 07/12/18 CODED BY SYLVIE

Roy Case was in shock. It might've been the smile or the accent, but the young man reacted chemically, without thought or reason, doing his darnedest to break through this strange girl's manner of speaking. "I want help," Roy plainly stated, moving his hands to his hips. Those were all the words he could spout at first. Roy had seen aliens before, and this girl was every bit as strange as those tentacled monsters.
"First of all!" the gears in the gangster's head spun quick and hard. "That guy didn't respect me... so I'm like... kinda sure I get a free pass with my respect. That's probably in old people laws. Secondly, I'm not a 'renegade kin'" Roy explained, misunderstanding the girl's words. "The name's Roy Case, rising star, soon to be leader of the Coldblood Crew of Kogane City!" Roy proclaimed the good news before remembering his surroundings. He did a slapdash check around for any officers before determining he was in the clear. "Secondly," Roy repeated, "who caused-" he swung his hand towards the rubble, "all of that?"
"Nextly," Roy conceded he'd forgotten which place in the order he had arrived upon, "who do you think you are, chasing away my witnesses? My friends back home need someone to beat up! Like, medically, we need vengeance!"

An he followed the stairway ta heaven "I want help."
Help? The statement caught her off guard, causing her brows to softened slightly and her head tip in partial confusion. "Ya foreign?" she asked letting her eyes once more dart him over she wondering if she'd made a bad judgement call.
"First of all! That guy didn't respect me... so I'm like... kinda sure I get a free pass with my respect. " .....Eden blinked then looked down at the sidewalk and then to the stairs she was standing on. Without missing a beat the broom moved from its passive position at her side to an angle as she begun to clear away the few bits of leaf litter and tiny gravel stones from the steps. Her attention was split to say the least, half concentrating on what the gangly lookin boy was runnin his mouth about an the other on the task at hand.
Sweep Sweep Sweep
She leaned forward moving her grip further up on the broom handle and swept off the last step in front of him before turning around and continuing her way up the stairs to the top leaving him to follow or continue to stand on his non-existant soap box that no one was listening to. Unfortunately the self-entitled decided to follow leaving her to roll her eyes up towards the sky in dismay before glancing back over her shoulder at him with knit brows to what he was talking about. Risin star? Leader of Coldblood...crew? Kogane City? Was he a new actor er some'in?
Again her eyes swept him over, she just couldn't see him as an actor, unless you know, he was the anti-hero or somethin. Maybe some concealer on that personality of his would help. She definitely could see him usin his face for radio though, he liked to hear himself talk. Oh wait, there was more. Crew? So he's a director? Ok, aight that made more sense he seemed to be the type to give directions better than take them. Wait. Wait. Coldblood crew? ...Whut a weird name, sounded like a fish monger or somethin. Definitely not the type of film studio she'd think to watch out for. Unless they shot wild pokmon documentaries. She certainly could see him workin the sharpedo cage. Sweep Sweep Sweeeeeeep Finally they made it to the top and the stairs were clean. Now she just had to work in reverse back to where she left off. "Secondly," didn't he already say that once? "Who caused all that?" OH! Well if that's the kind of information he was lookin for then- "Nextly, who do you think you are, chasing away my witnesses?" Could he even count? She now stopped cleaning and turned giving him her full attention once more. Curious if the poor thing was really that dumb and couldn't get to three. "My friends back home need someone to beat up! Like, medically, we need vengeance!"
"Aight Roy," the southern accent thick as ever came rolling out as she put her hands on her hips letting the broom to balance against her shoulder. "First off, it's three, ya know, first, second, ...third. Three. Kay?" he was 'bout as sharp as a sack of wet mice. "Second," she turned slightly with her thumb pointing over her shoulder back to the rubble pile as she shook her head. "I dunno who in the hell did that. Was on vay cay when it happened. Came back ta two funerals an'a damn mess. Ta say 'm-" she paused and looked around before lowering her voice to a hushed whisper to him. "Ta say 'm Pissed, is an understatement. I'm madder then a Beedrill 'bout it! That was my babay!" she could feel herself wanting to get emotional but squashed it down with a shake of her head and sucking the air in through her teeth before exhaling slowly in a heavy sigh. "As fer yer friends, 'm sorry 'bout thur kindition, but there ain't a thang I kin do for em. That sorta thing sounds like they need ta..." the hell did his fishing crew do? "I dunno, like, catch a Wailord er somethin? Ya know, somethin that'll givem a go? A little more fight fer thur fury."
Hang on a minute. Why in the hell would he need to ship contenders back home? "Why in the hell ain't yer crew here wit you? Ain't ya'll s'pose ta travel round in like a group?" her hand turning palm up but looking like she was holding an invisible ball in her fingers before making a mixing motion. "OH! An I almost for got the most important thing!" that same hand splayed out and pressed it's finger tips to her chest. "My names Eden, Eden Powers, shrine maiden ta the tower 'n all it's secrets. That dun died with it." A finger rose up and flicked away a dry tear from under her eye as she sniffed before her arms then threw themselves out to the side in grand display. "Welcome to the Matsuboomi Tower. Would ya like ta make a donation? Roy..."

"I know what three is! I know very well to get to and past three even!" Roy Case protested. "Even if I did want to make a donation, why would I want to do that?!" he angrily spoke foolishly. "And, by the way," he added, trying to catch up the girl verbally, all while chasing her up and down the small flight of stairs. "My Coldblood comrades are defending our territory back in Kogane! Your tower falling over shorted out the power where we live!"
The gangster was going to continue with his objections when his berating was interrupted by violet trails of smoke. Even in the bright of day, it seemed the ghosts he remembered weren't scared to make an appearance at the tower's destruction. "Typical," Roy scoffed, "Right when I was getting to the good part too." Normally the ghosts might scare him, but Roy had seen enough Alien type pokémon to know what actually scared him. "Skarmory, scrap!" Roy's pretty bird made an appearance with a flash of light. His pokémon had deftly taken care of these pokémon the last time. No reason to fix what wasn't broken.
"Can you handle yourself, Eden Powers? Do shrine maidens get a lot of battling done?" Roy clicked his tongue, "I don't think a broom is gonna be enough for some wild pokémon." He turned his attention from the young woman to the approaching ball of gas, and made his first move, "Peck, Skarmory!" Roy's pretty bird ran across the ground first, only taking flight at the last moment to pierce the pokémon with her beak. Reacting to the attack, the gastly swirled with sickly, black energy before unloading a Night Shade that zapped Skarmory in the air.
Roy wanted to wrap the fight up quickly, and thought to keep the fight at long distance, ordering, "Swift, Skarmory!" and the pokémon strafed the gastly, continuously using the attack so that it would hit the wild pokémon from multiple angles. However, each of the brilliant stars phased through the Ghost pokémon, kicking up a cloud of dust against the Kikyo streets. The attack was completely ineffective. "C'mon, girl!" Roy whispered, "Don't embarrass me after all my talk!" Skarmory crankily squawked in reply, and she was caught off guard by another sickly strike of energy. The Night Shade was enough to force Skarmory to land and catch her breath.
The gastly approached much more quickly, looking to cash in on the opening she'd made for herself. She began flashing in wild lights for a Confuse Ray, but Roy ignored what the move might do to Skarmory and ordered the next attack all the same. "Assurance!" Skarmory attempted to throw her body in another attack, but misjudged her aiming and fell face first into the rubble, hurting herself in confusion. The pair of them weren't putting on a very impressive show for Eden. "Metal Claw instead, tear this thing apart!" Roy confidently commanded, hoping there'd be no more disappointments. Still dizzy and confused, Skarmory swung her talons in a wide arc, managing to scrape against the gastly and fainting the wild pokémon. They'd gotten lucky, but Roy didn't need to announce that.
"No sweat, nice fight!" Roy complimented his girl, who fell over once more in confusion. Roy recalled the pokémon before she could do anything else ridiculous.
Assuming Eden was able to finish her fight, Roy would approach the girl once more and ask, "What exactly does a shrine maiden do then? What can you do with the tower busted into a bunch of stone potato chips?"
Gastly defeated! Skarmory gained two levels! Lv.24 Eden Powers

An he lived each day like it was his last. Today he got it right "Even if I did want to make a donation, why would I want to do that?!" She balked at his audacity to scream such blatant disregard for her and the situation of the scared ground they were standing on. "My Coldblood comrades are defending our territory back in Kogane! Your tower falling over shorted out the power where we live!"
"That ain't my fault hunny bunches you dun need ta talk ta the 'lectric company fer that one. An whut in the hell you yellin fer? 'm right here." She shook her head, thoughts falling back to his first line of outburst. Why wouldn't you want to donate? Wouldn't you want to help a place that actually needed it? Wouldn't you rather your money go into a cause you could actually see the results of? Honey colored eyes filled with pure judgement stared him down in disappointment. "Clearly we ain't cut from the same cloth, you'n I." Her eyes dropped down to the stone walk as her hands took up the broom once more and begun to sweep, the strokes a bit more brisk then usual.
"Typical." Her hands gripped the handle a bit tighter feeling her knuckles turn white thinking his words were meant for her. Aight Eden calm thoughts n' be nice now. Deep breath, that's it. Exhale an remember whut dadday taught ya. "Sarveshaam Svaastir Bhavatu, Sarveshaam Svaastir Bhavatu,Om Shanti, Shanti Shanteeh. Health ferever, peace ferever, om peace peace peace. Here peace peace peace comere peace Omm peace." the low hum of her own mantra for inner tranquility did the best it could to calm her slowly fraying nerves. Maybe if she turned away from him and started sweeping. She spun around, back facing him, her eyes glancing up to the excavating equipment sitting silently off to the side before catching two little ghastly float up from somewhere in the rubble pile. A heavy sigh escaped her causing her shoulders to drop. "Again? Really?"
Ever since the tower clean up ghosts and all manner of gremlin had been on the rise. While she was near certain that there weren't any ashes or remains kept inside to cause such unrest she was beginning to think that pieces of the tower had reached 100 years of age and had taken sentient form, an boy were they mad. However she didn't have time to mull over the details as she was addressed from behind. "Can you handle yourself, Eden Powers? Do shrine maidens get a lot of battling done?"
She looked back over her shoulder at him, eyes darting up and to the left for a moment in thought, "Not really why?" her words calm as she reached up rubbing the back of her neck smoothing some of the fly aways back up into her sweaty hairline.
"I don't think a broom is gonna be enough for some wild pokémon."
"Whut?" the statement catching her off guard as a biggen suddenly swooped down outta nowhere and started chasin the little gas balls all over the place. "Whut?! WHUT IN THE WORLD 'er YOU- STAPH!" Her hands had let go of the broom and came up smashing her palms to her cheeks as she watched the one sided battle in horror. Just as fast as it happened it, stopped and she was left standing there, stalk still as the clouds of dust blew across everything she'd just swept and cleaned that morning. "What exactly does a shrine maiden do then? What can you do with the tower busted into a bunch of stone potato chips?"
".......Roy." She was going to kill him.
The look on her face said it all, she was clearly holding back a hurricane of damnation and curses that would require a two seater confessional and possible use of the current equipment still on the grounds and it was all for him. "I dunno who you think you are, but ya dun messed up. Big time." It was taking all she had to keep herself from lunging for his throat and squeezing it like a flower stem and watch his head drop backwards like a rag dolls.
Instead she took a deep breath, turned on her sandal clad foot and marched over to the shrine store house. "ZEN!" came an abrupt shout and in a swift motion she threw the door open listening to it slam against the white outer wall wishing it was Roy's head before stepping into the musty air that smelled of old paper and sandalwood and begun digging around inside.

Roy Case didn't at all understand this girl's reaction to what he was doing. It was perfectly natural for Roy to fight wild pokémon that approached him. That's what he was taught to do. That's what had led to his growth. It's what had led to him becoming the leader of the Coldblood Crew. To hear this girl tell him he'd messed up by taking down the purple specter was entirely bizarre to him. More and more, this Eden Powers was bizarre.
"I 'messed up,'?" Roy asked curtly, "I knocked around a pest. You should try doing the same," he advised, not thinking much about the whole situation. Eden walked away from the scene and Roy pursued. The second gastly seemed to still be hanging over the rubble. Roy wasn't in the mood to fight it anymore, not until he solved the puzzle of this girl. "Relax for a hot minute, Skarmory," Roy would recall the pokémon with a flash of light, carefully eyeing the gastly. The wild pokémon didn't seem to be attacking, but the gangster wouldn't be leaving himself open for cheap tricks.
Roy could only follow Eden with his eyes after a moment. He watched the girl's orange hair bob over to some large building before yelling a single syllable and earning a laugh from Roy. "Are you trying to meditate?" Roy shouted towards the girl, "I'm just trying to protect my home, Eden Powers!"

Ozone "Are you trying to meditate?"
Her hands paused on the lid of a box, oh if only it was that easy. It'd been less than fifteen minutes an already he'd managed to not only destroy all her hard work but had gone off and fought a curse head on! Who in there right mind- she stopped realizing the error of her ways. She obviously had given him way too much credit.
"I'm just trying to protect my home, Eden Powers!"
Protect his- "YA DUN EVEN LIVE HERE YA LOON!" she yelled from inside the dark store house. 'Protect his home, the hell is he thinkin.' she shook her head. The only light coming from the upper windows and open door. Ah! There it was! She knew that old box of memorabilia was around there somewhere. Her fingers fumbled with the old newspaper protectant and used part of her pant ribbon to wipe out the dust. Luckily it only smelled of mothballs.
Five minutes later. . .
Eden made her debut from the shrine store house clad in her maidenly gear and sporting a gas mask of the by-gone days. The thing had to be fifty years old and had seen the war first hand. Sitting on her shoulder glimmering in slightly chipped white paint, a folded up tessen (war fan) embellished with an ornate gold leaf hilt and red tassel.
"ZEN!" she yelled again though it was severely muffled by the mask. Stomping her sandal foot on the stones twice like a knock the ground began to vibrate and the ghastly that had taken up residence inside the remaining rubble paused in it's flight over the mess and quickly darted back down into the chaos to hide.
The tremors only grew in magnitude as Eden stood patiently in the sun, the tessen waiting for it's moment as her glossy painted nailed tapped against the metal hilt in a rhythm that sounded like the melody of Dixie. The birds took flight from the forest trees, Murkrows crying out as they flew over head in distaste being chased out into the heat and begun circling like vultures curious to what was going on. Eden's mask covered head turned to the right, the sun glimmering off the large insect yellow eye lenses in a flare of testimony, guaranteeing it would protect the lovely set of black lashes behind its windows. Just then a shadow blocked out the sun for a moment before plummeting to the ground beside her in a heavy slam causing dirt and dust to kick up and roll like a fog.
Eden didn't bat an eye nor move, "Bout time you showed up." Her head tipping back as the giant black rock rose up on its lower stomach and glared down at her. "You at the mountain?" A low rumble of confirmation vibrated across the air leaving a sense of anxiousness before the tail slid around behind her protectively. Eden looked over her shoulder again to see Zen had discovered Roy. Normally this sort reaction wouldn't happen, but given the fact that she yelled for him and the scent of ozone was in the air on the shrine grounds, it didn't take much for the pokemon to put two n two together. "As much as I'd love ta see it happen I ain't in the mood for a'nother funeral." she reached out with her left hand rubbing over one of the many smooth dark gray stones that made up his tail. The two looked like some bizarre ancient war relic of yester-year summoned to battle once more in modern times. "We got another gas leak." she explained nodding towards the pile and grumbled. "I dunno where in the hell they're comin from! They just are!"
Zen looked down at her then over to the pile, "You take left side I'll take right aight?" she said moving into place as Zen slithered across the grounds on the opposite side of the tower. "Ya ready?!" she called out unable to see over top of the mess. An old angry "Onnnn" that sounded more like a rolling groan answered back. Taking the tessen off her shoulder she flicked it open in a metallic snap. The fan was big enough to span her entire forearm and cover her face. It also sported what appeared to be an orange-ish red circle for a sun and a black silhouette of Sprout tower from it's glory days. There was even a strip of calligraphy written down one of the spines on the opposite side. Eden's arm stretched out before dropping into a squat and begun fanning the air in to the fallen debris. Moments passed, the swift beats of Eden's wrist never faltered. "Ya see anythang yet?" she yelled and moved the fan to another open hole. Zen moved his head from looking under one of the roof eves to another spot trying to find the Ghastly and see if it was getting blown out of hiding. ✖ 000 ✖ Green Text means muffled Voice NOTES Notes. 07/22/16 CODED BY SYLVIE

Roy Case was near to walking away from the tower after the first few minutes passed. He assumed pretty quickly that Eden Powers had simply walked off to somewhere so she could cry in peace. Roy thought the girl's connection to the tower might've been helpful, but now it seemed she was simply young and defensive, but not much more than that. If Eden didn't even have a power to fight back the wild pokémon then Roy was sure she couldn't be strong enough to help much.
Before Eden emerged in full regalia, he returned to the ruins of Madatsubomi tower, encroaching into the site of the destruction. He'd bent over low, almost blending into the rubble to get a better look at what there might be underneath the mess of stones. Roy figured there wouldn't be much to find, but the lack of helpful evidence was still just as disappointing. He failed to discover a single helpful thing among the stones, even as he was careful not to uncover another ghost.
The trainer was bent over a large stone when an unexpected 'thud' threw him face first into the rocks. He felt a pain in the left side of his head and tried to get back up to see what was going on. On either side of the ruins where he stood was a pokémon and a strange figure in a mask and a waving war fan. The pokémon was massive and the mask was terrifying. Roy had no idea what was going on. "Who are you?!" he quickly shouted, standing up from the rubble, "What's up with that massive pokémon?" he asked, pointing towards the onix. "Are you some kind of superhero?!" then the gangster asked more aggressively, "Are you coming to take me in, masked avenger?!"

Santa's Naughty List Assistant "Are you coming to take me in, masked avenger?!"
.... She stopped swinging the fan into the mass of broken building and turned her head to look at him. Well that sounded guilty as sin. The sun shifted ever so slightly causing a flare to glisten off one of the insect looking eye pieces as she stared him down. Part of her wanted to say no and go back to trying to find the gas leak, the other half saw this as an opportunity to collect on his ass for bein a pissant.
"Maybe, maybe not. That all depends on you." Normally she would've guided him over and into the shrine for his confessional, but given the fact he was two steps from becoming her own personal hell she decided to do it Alfresco. She slowly stood up out of her squat near the rubble, and swung the fan shut and pointing it at him. "Aight Roy, whut in the hell did you do?"
Immediately after the words left her mouth a thought occurred to her. What if he was guilty of something heinous? Did she really want to deal with that? It was too late now.
This section does not pertain to Roy
Zen on the other hand rolled his beady black eyes and went back to checking every nook and cranny on his side for the Ghastly. Turning his head side ways so his eye could get a good look into the mess of broken support beams, shattered roof tiles and broken wall plaster. He found nothing but as he used his nose to nudge the broken pieces as gently as he could to try and startle it out of hiding.
The little ghastly however had other ideas as it darted around like a soot sprite in the shadows hiding behind the beams just after Zen had finished looking there. The old Onix however was not having any of it and was soon onto the game the ghost was playing. Using his tail to fake where he was checking he moved his head accordingly trying to spot the little devil that lurked somewhere out of his reach. If he could just get a good look at it. ✖ 000 ✖ Green Text means muffled Voice NOTES Notes. 07/22/16 CODED BY SYLVIE

Roy Case had to think about this vigilante's question for a minute. If this strange person in the shrine maiden clothes knew his identity, it was strange to him he wouldn't know what Roy's crimes were. How could the masked avenger be unaware of Roy's career as an actual criminal. The boy was constantly told by his Coldblood peers that anybody would be able to tell he was a criminal, that he'd be an outsider to them forever.
The gangster tried to discern the stranger's intentions. He'd met a superhero once before, but he had to say, this one had much more presence than Kenny ever did. Even if the latter was a bit more high energy than the one facing Roy now. The gargantuan pokémon they possessed didn't look like something Roy could play around with.
"You don't know my deeds?" Roy asked, posturing some outrage. "I'm the rising star of the Coldblood Crew," Roy admitted, "I'm a gangster, sworn rival of the Featherwights! I disrupt an entire city!" the young man was mostly just spouting off some of the talking points of more senior criminals in the group, rambling and trying to remember some crime he'd committed. "I've threatened people before!"

Noxious little Grapefruit
"Yeah I know 'bout that last part, you dun already been told you should repect yer elders more 'n not do that sorta thang. One it ain't nice, an two, like my mammy said, 'You kin catch more flies with honey then ya can vinegar.' An you ya bully er just fulla piss in vinegar." the nugget of opinionated advice lobbed at him like a water balloon as she turned her head to look at the pile. "An iffen you dun been doin what I think you did yer ass is grass. 'm givin ya the benefit ta come clean on holy groun 'n change yer ways." Snapping the tessen back open she started fanning the rubble pile again to assist Zen in his strike and counter mission.
Roy's words didn't sit well with Eden, they sounded half finished like he was bluffing or making a mountain out of an ant hill. If he was trying to impress her he needed to workout more. She side glanced back over at him through the discolored lenses, boy didn't even look like he could lift an iron skillet. "What you doin goin around startin fights with the birds for anyway?" she asked having no idea who the Featherwits were, just that Mr. Pissant seemed to be out for everyone and everything around him. "The hells the point 'n that? Just throw some bread er french fries at em and they'll leave ya alone. An why you gotta go an act all proud throwin a monkey wrench inta peoples days 'n lives? That ain't nice Roy." The fan swapped hands, her arm moving to flip the fan vertically changing direction of the wind as the empty hand came to rest on her hip. The mask covered face turned back to look at him shaking her head, "You disappoint me Roy."
She turned back to the pile just as Zen's tail lifted a corner of the roof like turning over a stone. The little ghastly panicked hissing and darted about left and right in the shadows, "Zen Smack em before it-" suddenly the little noxious fume jerked towards Eden. She swung the tessen batting it away from her only to find it wasn't as young as she expected it to be. Just as her arm extended out completely to her side she found her fingers dropping the tessen to the ground in a metallic pie tin clang. The ghastly dangled from her wrist by it's tongue and she could feel her arm going numb up to the elbow. "AAAAHHH! GET IT OFF! GET IT OFF! FET IT OFF!" she squealed and flailed trying to use the tongue as a lever against the pokemon and slam it off the ground like grapefruit in a sock.
Zen's tail let go of the roof corner allowing the material to drop down in a slam and sudden rush of wind, dust and small debris as he zipped over like a snake towards his panicking girl. The rage etched into his charcoal features spoke in volumes as the ghastly hung dazed from Eden's wrist. In a sudden shake and blink it came too and found itself under the gaze of the one it was toying with earlier. Slowly the tongue unraveled from Eden's wrist and she swayed heavily from side to side stumbling back against Zen's tail that guided her in a lulling push towards Roy. Word's were not needed as the stone pokemon spared him a single look, as if to say 'Watch her.' Before turning it's attention back to the ghastly unsure if terror kept it in place or if it had forgot to take the opportunity to try and run until just then.
The ghastly zipped towards Zen's face, tongue hanging out as the pokemon dodged to the side allowing it to pass but using the momentum to bring it's tail around in a wide swing that hit the ghastly knocking it out of the grounds like a home run into the sun. Zen looked up following the doppler screeching as the climb gave out and the dizzying ghastly fell back down towards the earth.
Eden meanwhile trying to fight off the feeling of Novocaine that was coursing up her right side as she drunkenly leaned against Roy for support.

Roy Case scoffed at the girl's insults. "I'm not going to apologize for not being full of roses and pansies," he simply said. "Some of us have to live in a real world. "And, if there were enough french fries for us to toss some to those scumbags then we wouldn't need to fight at all!" Roy argued.
All of his protests and conversations were cut off by a fight that happened frighteningly quickly. In a few flashes, that rock snake was glaring at Roy a ghost was bashed into the sky and Eden, who had apparently been that very masked avenger, was now leaning against Roy. Nervous around the young woman, Roy recoiled from the girl, and she began to droop down, almost falling and Roy leaped back to catch the girl again.
He was overly careful to steer his hands away from any sensitive woman areas and struggled to hold up Eden. "What do I do? What do I do? What do I do?!" he began panicking a bit, totally unsure how to care for a girl. Thoughts of the tower and Kogane were out of his mind. Roy fully stripped the mask off of the girl and examined her injury. The young man wasn't able to do anything very effectively, and had no idea how to effectively identify what was actually going on inside of the girl's body. "Oh! I know!" Roy pulled from his bag a potion for the trainer. "These work on pokémon... so maybe they work for people, right?"
Roy would cautiously spray some of the potion onto Eden's arm unless something impeded his rudimentary medical experiment. "Lords above, please let this work..."

Numb from the brain down Eden faltered slightly to regain balance before sinking down to sit on the ground. Her one good hand jerking upwards and ripping the mask off to show her flushed face. Cheeks red from the heat, eyes wide in panic and the errant strands of orange hair plastered to the edge of her sweat covered face looking like tiny rust lines. Her left hand swung over clutching the bicep of her right in a squeeze, if only to inform her that it was still actually there and attached. Roy continued to do his antsy dance of panic in front of her and she had half a mind to swing her good leg out and kick his feet out from under him. But he surprised her, like an old lightbulb in a forgotten basement flickering on for the most critical of moments she watched him pull out of a potion and spray her arm down with it.
"Lords above, please let this work..."
Eden stopped staring at her arm and looked up at him with stunned eyes, "Well that was somethin I didn't expect ta hear comin outta yer mouth." the tone a mix of disbelief, mockery and gentle teasing. "Ya worried Roy?"
Zen waited, having risen up on his lower tail and the moment the ghastly dropped back down out of the atmosphere and past his chin he slammed himself down on top of it. The dust cloud and wind that billowed out from the hit rolled across the shrine grounds and sent Eden into a small hacking fit before she wove her hand around in front of her face doing her best to get rid of it. "Good lord Zen, ya sent it straight ta hell! It was just a babay, it didn't know-no better like Roy!" cough cough hack She turned her numb arm over exposing her wrist and flexing her fingers. "Oh for Pete's sake this is a mess." she spoke before tipping her head back between her shoulders in a heavy defeated exhale. "It's like 'm turnin inta a man, goin numb from the brain down." her voice getting softer and a bit more dramatic. She could do with a fainting couch right now. She looked back down at her arm and tried to flex her fingers again receiving pins and needles that had her yipping and tipping onto her good side. "Oooh I ain't doin that again!" she squeaked and started to feel her eyes getting glassy with unshed tears as she looked around the mess that was the shrine grounds. Debris blown everywhere, the paths covered in dust in all four directions, her goal of getting another chunk of the tower taken apart just a dream as broken as the tower itself.
Her head snapped to look at the boy in front of her holding back the tears. She was frustrated and at her wits end and no amount of peaceful chanting was going to help. A good cry might but she didn't want to let the ugly out. "Aight crime lord. Since yer way seems ta be so great what 'm I gonna do? I can't clean like this? I kin barely feel my right side! What am I gonna do Roy? How 'm I supposed ta fix this?" her left swinging out out and motioning to the mess. "You gonna call yer friends Roy? Huh? You gonna call yer homies n homeboys n home fries n home skillets ta come in an fix this?" Eden's left leg bent up and her head dropped down to her knee utterly defeated. "Why taday?" she asked nobody in particular.
