Stiff winds caused the girl to cling tightly to her hat. It was a wide-brimmed straw hat, one of her favorites, with a fluffy fishing lure attached to the brim. Her lucky hat, as she always said. Blonde hair flew behind her as brown eyes tilted to the sky. It was a beautiful day out, the sun kissing her skin and warming her all over.

"We couldn't have picked a better day if we tried!" she exclaimed happily to the spheal at her side. Siku seemed to mirror her trainer's pleasure by clapping her flippers and barking twice. The two then carried on down the path, careful of their steps. The trail wasn't man-made, so it went over precarious rocks and writhing roots. At times, Lusha would pick up Siku and carry her over a formation or a log that was too tall. On her back, the pack she always took with her clinked with the many fishing lures inside. Strapped across her back was her favorite - and currently her only - fishing pole. Brought from home, it was a treasure she held close to her heart. Her father, a fisherman in his own right, had taught her the way of life he has mastered over his many years. She hoped to one day be even half as talented and knowledgeable as he was.

Wiping the sweat from her brow, the girl then used that same hand to brace herself against a rock. Carefully, she lowered herself down onto a small outcrop ledge overlooking the lake. If she'd brought her swim suit, it could be a fun place to safely jump down into the water below. She'd have to remember that for next time.

"This looks like as good a place as any! Whatcha' say, Siku?" Plopping down before receiving an answer, Lusha fumbled around in her pack until she came across the lure she'd been eager to try out. It was a bright shiny silver, with attached pieces that would glitter as it was floating underwater. Bright red feather-looking bits had been tied to the top, hopefully to entice the pokemon she was looking to catch to take a nibble. The spheal waddled over to her right side, finding a small pile of rocks. As the two waited for a bite, the pokemon used her flippers to knock the rock back and forth.
