Ken wasn't in the safari zone for another long night, oh no he was here to train his pokemon properly this time around. No Vannah to distract and make him feel weird inside of the trees again. Right now was his time to relax and his time to do what he wanted to do. Catch some Pokemon and get through his day without a hitch. This was it, he needed this to go swimmingly get him some Pokemon and get him some lady folk and then get him some money money yeah yeah. He needed money because money was the best and money made him feel good about himself. The way Vannah made him feel good.
He kinda wanted to get this going today, he wanted to get himself through this day with tons of Pokemon and make his Poliwrath super strong really, really strong. Like so strong it would be able to pick things up and toss them out of the way like they were nothing. This was the time to get this going. Yep, just get this rolling and get his new pokemon, oh yeah here he goes. |

Not too long after he arrived in the Safari zone and began to stroll for a bit he had noticed a rock begin to move in front of him. The rock’s exterior looked just like that, a rock, but as he peered closer he noticed it was moving at a sluggish pace with no real intent to go anywhere besides shifting from side to side. “That must be a Pokemon.” Ken mumbled to himself as he looped a hand to his back and unclipped his Pokemon’s ball from his hip. “I need to give you a new name man...” he tossed his Pokeball casually before him, his Poliwrath materializing in a beam of red light with crossed arms.
“Alright, how do you like uh, being the new Delaware?” he asked the blue toad pokemon only receiving a shrug in reply, “Then it’s decided! Delaware hit that Weird rock with a brick break!” the call was made and the renamed Pokemon pounced on the rock in a matter of seconds. With a gloved hand raised over its head Delaware’s fist collected static before being smashed down on the Dwebble with little restraint. The bug type Pokemon wriggled out of its rocky home and looked back at the larger Pokemon only to yelp before being hit with a second brick break for the easy knock out.
“Ha, that’s wasn’t too shabby, you seem a little stiff but hey we’re working on it!” with the Dwebble dealt with he turned his attention back to the safari and made his way through it with his partner in tow. The two would roam for a wild having a mild conversation, Ken going on about ways they could train and his Poliwrath occasionally nodding, shaking its head, and shrugging in response.
“We should check out what else is out here before we head home ey.”

Ken crossed his arms and continued to move along side his poliwrath as he looked for anything that could give him a clue as to where they were. It seemed they weren’t in a good spot for pokemon given the lack of them showing up for the two of them. He had his mind set on what he wanted to do but between his Poliwrath’s new weird obsession with looking like a ball of muscle and his own stupidity there was no chance they’d be leaving the Safari zone with new Pokemon. Mostly because he had very little success in the safari zone, sure, he spoke a big game but in truth he was always afraid to get down to business when he needed to.
Whistling to himself he and his Pokemon would shown come across another Pokemon, this one sluggishly walking on the ground before looking back at them. For a moment there was a odd silence as the sloth like Pokemon peered at the Poliwrath and trainer. It would only take a moment for him to turn around and stand up on his back legs as he looked at them with a very slow rising smile. Ken was perplexed by the pokemon’s resilence.
“Hey uh, Delaware, do you think you could uh... You know. BRICK BREAK it.”
Delaware clenched his fist and charged at the Slakoth raising its fist and just like with the dwebble, smashing it down onto the young sloth’s head. It seemed like a sure hit! But much to their surprise the sloth was quick and used COUNTER to reverse the attack before smacking the poliwrath across the spiral belly with FLAIL. In retaliation Delaware once again raised its fist for BRICK BREAK and smashed the little sloth with authority this time allowing Ken to toss a Pokeball and capture the small Pokemon.
“Welp, we got a new team member! We’ll name him Missouri!”

Ken smiled as the Pokeball containing Slakoth stopped shaking. He had a nice new Pokemon his team and it would definitely come in handy for some of the gyms he was going to be facing. Or well, that was if he ever decided to face the gyms of Johto as a member of virus. Given his place it was extremely unlikely that he’d get to live out his dream of joining the league, heck, at his current pace he was struggling to even make a name for himself in his current organization even if he kept all of his Pokemon and stopped gifting them to the people he meets in hopes of them having good homes.
Anyway, on his way down the track he had found himself facing off with another Pokemon this one seeming like a rather angry boy. Snapping his fingers Ken called up his Poliwrath for a quick move, their signature BRICK BREAK to end it quickly. With raised fist the Poliwrath smashed it onto the pawniard below it, the attack wouldn’t connect but instead the pawniard would meet the attack would slash, the two connecting in a struggle of power. The steel type was holding well against the much bulkier Pokemon but soon Delaware’s power would prove too much and crush the smaller Pokemon with a powerful BRICK BREAK.
Once the attack connected the impact cause the pawniard to crumple below the water type’s fist. Spinning a Pokeball on his finger Ken tossed it at the now downed pokemon and watched it shake for a moment. With all of that done Ken picked up the ball and dusted it off. “Let’s get outta here, two outta three balls ain’t bad.” he chuckled to himself as he and his poliwrath left the safari zone. There was much pink hair to tussle.
