The first challenger was both unsurprising and unassuming. The small dual bug and poison type pokemon was known far and wide across almost all regions. Weedle and it's evolutionary line were classic pokemon and while they had potential at this stage they were nothing more than nusicances for trainers traveling through forests. Still the pokemon would make a good opportunity for Aros who was still shaky when it came to battling and had so few skills to even attempt at backing it up. And so the white haired researcher would call the steel and psychic type forward with the idea of battle in his mind. The weedle sensing the challenge wouldn't shy away from combat.

The bug pokemon would begin attempting to launch a stringshot at the magnet pokemon and while it was a direct hit the blue pokemon's smooth surface would simply cause all of the white goop to slide off unaffecting the beldum entirely. It's body was made to prevent such attacks leaving the bug pokemon bewildered and more than a bit shook especially when in response the trainer ordered the only move Beldum could use, "Take Down." With the technique ordered the pokemon would blast forward leaving a streak of white behind him before ramming into the small bug pokemon dealing a more than heavy hit to the creatures already fragile body.

In response the bug pokemon would attempt something a bit more offensive this time launching a full poison sting at the steel type, but that too was completely ineffective as the needles were simply unable to pierce the cool steel exterior of the magnet pokemon. Azad couldn't help but grin, even if they didn't have the most stratified offense their defense was nothing to scoff at and as such they'd be taking this victory. The trainer of course simply ordered another take down and with that second bash the weedle was down for the count allowing both the trainer and pokemon to continue along in their training exercise.

Walking with a floating magnet wasn't unsurprisingly silent. Of course beldum communicated through a number of metallic sounds when it wanted to say something, or knowing that the trainer couldn't really understand would simply point the boy in the right direction when it needed to tell him something, the pokemon wasn't a fan of idle chatter. It was one of the reasons the two got along so well. Neither felt the need to beat around the bush giving each time to really delve into their own thoughts. It was in one of these bouts of silence that a pokemon decided to appear hopping out with a need for a fight, one that the two were more than willing to give.

The battle wasn't very much entertaining from an outside perspective, both weren't offensive pokemon by trade as both seemed to lack any true damage dealing moves other than ones that involved slamming into each other. Thankfully due to the force at which beldum slammed and the material its body was made of the steel type would make quick work of his enemy. It was about three minutes after the fight began that Azad realized his opponents weakness and a smile began to grow on his face.

The final takedown sends the venonat spiraling into a tree unwilling or more so unable to take anymore hits from the magnet pokemon as it simply returns to its trainers side almost unflinchingly. If only because of the recoil damage the trainer would take a knee scouring his pack for first and foremost a potion to heal the pokemon giving it more than enough energy for a final battle in the woods before calling it a day and possibly returning tomorrow for another sequence of fights.

As the splashes of sunlight became orange in nature the trainer would begin to head back towards the town the held Johto's second gym. The two had gotten a more than fair amount of training in, and while they had the energy to move on the man had work to do, work that was best done in a pokemon center opposed to being out in the wild, he also had the urge to sleep on a bed tonight as opposed to the bug infested forest's hard ground. Beldum while it still wanted to train would acquiesce to his trainer's whims only for the two to run into a final opponent as they prepared their return.

Piercing green eyes met those of a nincada, an earthen bug that Azad knew little to nothing about. He'd heard they were pokemon native to hoenn, but weren't spectacular by any means typically. And knowing Aros' urge to battle Azad would take a stance not willing to let an opportunity pass itself despite his wishes to make it back into town. This if anything would only be a minor delay. And so the trainer would call the steel type pokemon forward it's red eye already scanning its enemy for any potential weaknesses.

The battle was much like the one they had prior with the venonat. Nincada had two moves that could barely harm the beldum if only because the nincada was a weaker pokemon by trade and its moves weren't too effective against the dual steel psychic type. Absorb would make things a little tricker if only because the nincada would attempt to regain portions of its health, but the constant flurry of take downs were simply too strong for the bug type's healing factor to keep up. It was a ten minute battle or so, but eventually the nincada would collapse leaving the floating beldum as today's victor. With the battle over the steel type pokemon would let out a metallic cry of victory before returning to its trainer proudly. With the battle done and their work finished the two would depart from the woods more than satisfied with today's training.
