Bosco had been feeling pretty good for himself and his friend, Totodile. He had already caught two pokemon today, so his buddy now had a small group of friends! A pidgey and a pinsir. While they were not his first choice, he was happy for them so far. He was happy, and it was nice. He stopped when he saw the cave however, and realized just how dark it was inside. He didn't have anyone who could make any form of light.
"Hmmm..." He said, looking at it for a long moment and then to the nearby area. "Ahh, that will work." He spoke, walking over to the small pile of sticks and left over branches from other people's trips up here, clearing it out slowly to keep it safe for travelers. He gathered up several sticks and realized that he didn't have a lighter. He shook his head and opened up his bag. He would spend a few moments, rooting around in it and pulled out his phone. "Here we go."
Checking the battery life, he flipped the flashlight on it on and walked into the cave, Totodile following beside him. "Let's see if anyone comes out to say hello Dilla." He said, smiling a bit as he looked at his batter life one more time, currently sitting at ninety four percent. They wouldn't be able to stay in there for a long time, but hey, this should be enough to at least get them to find a few new friends, and then get back out. Perhaps next time he was in here, he would bring an extra power pack or the like, in order to keep them going for a lot longer.
“Hey, Dilla. When we get back into town, let's see about investing in a real flash light, not the one on my phone. Sound good buddy?” He asked, rubbing the head of the small pokemon as it jumped for a moment, his words echoing in the small opening of the cavern system. It was easy to see how people could become lost in here so quickly and easily.

Damien wasn't sure what the heck he was doing in the dark cave but it hadn't stopped him from wanting to be there. Both of his pokemon were slightly obscure fiends who thrived in darker environments and what was the harm in getting one other pokemon who would do the same. "Let's go Frey." the fighter with bruised knuckles and a swelling ego let the rock skin pokemon's ball carelessly fall onto the floor with a sinister-like cry escaping from the tiny pokemon. As they began to walk closer into the darkness, Damien's pokenav rose into the air illuminating the path in front of them as they began to move forward. With his arms crossed, the fighter turned a corner and accidentally slammed right into a random trainer with bright ivory hair. "Shi-- my bad." his shoulder slightly sore from the pain before clutching and massaging his arm for a quick second. "Didn't mean to, kinda dark in here and this damn pokenav just didn't seem to work as well as I wanted it to." Frey snarled for a second, her ferocity often getting her in trouble as she was able to see quite easily in the cave. " 'm Damien and this is Frey." The man gestured to his starter pokemon after he apologized. The one-half of the Demon Twins shot a look into the darkness, a noise echoing throughout the cave before Frey took a defiant step forward. "Hope you're ready for a battle, sounds like something is headed this way and it doesn't seem to be too happy." He wasn't sure how to deal with the cave but if he would continue more adventures into the cave, Damien would really have to invest in some headlights or an actual flash light. The Larvitar picked up some sand from the floor, ready for some dirty pokemon moves if it lead to it.

Bosco had only just gotten a short ways inside of the cave before he bumped into the other trainer. He staggered back several steps, raising up the phone. It took only a moment for the light to shine up and hit the other trainer. He quickly appologized and Bosco simply smiled a bit. “ Hey, it's cool. Name's Bosco. And I get it. This cave is dark. I used to go down here some times for my old job, but didn't go back here for some of my equipment.” He shrugged once, offering his hand out to the other trainer to shake if he so decided to. He then heard the noise of the pokemon that were alerted to their presence. Totodile snapped up, growling up. “Dilla, calm yourself. Guard position. By the way, this is Dilla. Little spit fire of a pokemon. Dilla, you have the better eyes down here, as soon as you see them, let me know where they are coming from and I will adjust the light.” He said, lowering down his light to his feet. He waited in silence for a few moments, simply looking down the hallway for a long moment. When Dilla made the noise that something was indeed approaching, Bosco raised up the light, shining the brightness of it down the cavern. “Oh wow... An Onix and a Zubat. Hey, you mind if I go for the Onix?” He asked, looking to the other trainer. Right now, Dilla had type advantage. That would help him in the long run. “Ok, this room looks like it is pretty close to just stone and dirt. Dilla took several steps forwards, eyeing the large pokemon. Bosco reached back, pulling out one of his empty pokeballs and waited. When Onix roared, Bosco shouted out. “Water gun!” He called, the pokemon blasting out with the jets of water quickly. The massive rock pokemon didn't exactly have much time to react, and the narrow space helped the pokemon not at all. It roared out in pain as it rushed towards Dilla, slamming into him hard and sending the small pokemon flying back. “Dilla! You ok?!” He called out, the small pokemon forcing himself back onto his feet and shaking his small head, quickly clearing it before he hopped fully back up. “Hmm... This one is pretty tough. Alright. Time to make use of those big jaws of yours. Dilla, rush him and use ice fang!” He called out, the small pokemon grinning wide and then doing just that. While it wouldn't do as much, it was still powerful against Onix, dealing heavy damage quickly. Taking advantage of this, he pulled his arm back and threw the pokeball, his eyes set on the fallen Onix, aiming to catch it. The small ball impacted, the pokemon turned red, causing Dilla to land on the ground, luckily on his feet, and the orb dropped, shaking. “Come on...” Bosco whispered. DAMIEN VON KLAUSS |

The chaotic noises of the dark seemed to amplify as sound bounced from one wall to the next traveling throughout the cave. "Nice, Bosco." giving the other a quick nod and shaking his hand before the onix and zubat seemed to appear, dimly lit in a matter of seconds. "Go for it, i'll fight the Zubat." Looking down at Frey's eager clump of dirt in her hand, this wasn't the fight for her. "Come back Frey, let's go Tulley." The tiny newly caught Tyrogue appeared with a gutsy fire in his belly. The fighting type watched as the Totodile shot such powerful liquid from its mouth onto the beast in front of them, already getting the rock snake to critical health, it must've been strong. "quick, helping hand on the other's next move." Damien watched as Tulley clapped his hands together to help boost the ice fang that was now headed over to the onix. all while the zubat had started its move, the bat attempting to seep up some health with an absorb attack. Tiny health spheres seemed to be pulled from the Tyrogue's body before popping right where the flying type had been restoring it to full health (not that it had taken any damage yet). "Use tackle up the walls, bring it slamming down." Damien had a feeling that this could be done in one swift move. With gravity and Tulley's strength on their side. Another absorb attack sapped a minimal amount of health from the fighting type as Tulley quickly ran up the wall with the speed of his tackle, leaping off of it to grab the Zubat's wings and force her down with all of his mighty weight, slamming the bat onto the floor, still surprised that Tulley was able to grab onto such a nimble and agile pokemon. The zubat laid there fainted, Damien looking to the side seeing the tiny red ball shake back and forth for the Onix. "Good luck dude, Onix'll be a nice addition if ya get it." The pokeball clicked and Bosco smiled wide. He walked over, picking it up and watching the pokemon fighting against the Zubat. Now, he was doing very well. He knew what moves that Totodile had an understanding of, but he was mainly an offensive type pokemon. Perhaps having one of his others learn some support type moves wouldn't be a bad idea in the long run. He looked at the pokeball for a moment and smiled. He shrank down the ball and latched it to his belt, looking down at his Totodile and rubbing his head. “I think we are gonna have to find some friends who can help support the rest of you at the same time. This guy has the right idea.” He said, offering the pokemon a small treat. He chewed on the treat and Bosco looked at Damien and then down the way slightly. “Looks like you have another visitor.” He said, standing up fully and smiling at him. “Thanks for the helping hand by the way. That was well done. I had forgotten that some pokemon had assistant type moves like that. Thanks for reminding me.” For now, he wasn't going to just leave his new friend in the dark. “Also, mind if I stick around? You have an interesting team. I'm curious as to how they work together and what you do as a trainer.” He said, looking at Damien for a moment. If he said he could stay around for a bit. If not, he was going to head out. The zubat fainted against the floor and Tulley soaked in the experience from the battle with a bloodthirsty like grin. Damien may or may not have built an atmosphere for his pokemon to be power hungry in the same way he craved the shattering of bones against his knuckles. Some would say that it sounded derange, but it filled his entire soul with glee. He never felt so connecting into a moment and into himself the way that the ring did that for him. His eyes shot down to the Tyrogue who stood perfectly balanced, arms at his side protecting his entire body from an attack. They would train more, soon enough. "Thanks Tulley, get a nice rest in." Returning the fighting pokemon back into his pokeball until he looked over at Bosco. "No problem at all dude, I knew Tulley had the move. It's a good assist for the double battles." Shrugging, he thanked his younger brother in his head for all the move trivia he gave Damien while they were growing up.
"Yeah Bosco, feel free to stay and watch. Who knows what'll pop up too." Damien had spent so much time with his younger brother, sometimes he forgot that there were other cool people out there too. A fixation on the goal made the elder Von Klauss not appreciate enough on the journey.
Bosco pointed out the Wobbufett standing there eager for a fight. Damien remembered that these damn pokemon could really mess up your day if they knew what they were doing. In that case, Damien called out his heavy hitter with pretty powerful dark moves who hopefully would be able to do some damage against the psychic type. "Leggo, Frey." The fighter grabbed his starter's pokeball and threw it out into the dimly lit cave.
The safeguard quickly rose from the Wobbufett's feet trying to protect itself from any status ailments from coming its way. "Dark pulse." Frey nodded, the tiny verdant blob ran out into the middle of the battlefield letting a large obsidian orb grow from her mouth as she began to arch her tiny back and lift her hands into the air to throw it over to the wild pokemon. As soon as it flew towards the psychic mon, it used a counter. Luckily for Damien, the wild pokemon wasn't aware of physical / special moves and it hit dead-on super effective.
"Rock slide and finish it off." The Larvitar hit the side of the cave with a heavy foot, the rocks began to slide from the corner right towards the psychic pokemon knocking it over and fainting it without giving it much of a chance to retaliate.
"Frey's uhh, my heavy hitter." Damien shrugged awkwardly at the battle. "It's always good to have support but when you have those mons who hit hard, it helps for the experience grind. What else pokemon do ya got or is it just Totodile?" Damien asked, wanting to know a little bit more about what Bosco's team looked like.

“Still, it's something to keep in mind in the future. I forget some trainers tend to enjoy team battles to help shore up weaknesses and the like.” He said, watching as the trainer reward his pokemon with some rest. “Well, I wouldn't want you to get lost in here either. That can make like a little annoying.” He chuckled a bit, reaching into his backpack and pulled out an extra power pack for his cell phone. “The flash light on this thing is powerful, but it can drain the battery pretty fast.” A chuckle escaped his lips as he walked with his new ally, watching how he used his pokemon named Frey. The fact he was making sure his pokemon was keeping it's distance from the counter strike king was helpful as well. Bosco stood in silence, looking away onto see his own Pokemon and note how it was observing. In time, Dilla would grow powerful like this as well, and at the end of it all, it would be able to crush pokemon like this as well. Reaching down, he pat the head of the pokemon and continued forward. “I can tell. He is a powerful little one as well.” He said, motioning to the small pokemon. “And no, I have Onix now and a Pinsir. Damien nodded, listening to Bosco's words still loving the idea of a team battle and letting two pokemon work together to balance of each other's imperfections. "I'm sure, i'll be fine though if you wanted to leave. This little Pokenav buddy is doing a great job shining light down." Offering the other a firm nod, glad that he decided to walk with him as they tried to find their exit. "Thanks, yeah. Still a long way to go but I feel like we're in a pretty good spot." Damien was stoked with the progress he made so far. Looking down at Frey and returning the pokemon, knowing she was itching for another battle but wanting to share the love with a few other members of the team.
The diglet appeared with such tenacity, a large hole appearing in the middle of the ground as the ground pokemon let out a spray of dirt clods towards Damien and Bosco. "Jeeze." Damien shook his head trying to block himself from the attack as he grabbed the pokeball for the newest member of his team and let Tulley out, the eager Tyrogue.
The sucker punch was coming, the diglet hiding in the darkness of the cave and hit tyrogue in his back. The fighting type let out a loud noise from the damage, not expecting the attack to take out so much of his health. "Fake Out and Tackle." Damien spoke the words, Tulley finding one of the many holes the wild Digley was hiding in and used a massive clap of a fake out, attempting to cause the other pokemon to flinch for a second before leaping straight into one of the tunnels to find the beast. Noises could be heard from underneath and a slight rumble until a few minutes later, Tulley returned crawling out of the tunnel onto the floor with his chest heaving immensly with a thumbs up over to Damien.
Good news is he won, bad news is there would be no catching of a Diglett today. The tunnel seemed to open up, the crevice of light shining into the cave. "That was pretty entertainin'. We'll have to do it again some time. Perhaps even a battle. See how much you've grown." Damien looked over at Bosco, giving him a nod and offering his hand for a firm handshake. It would be soon enough that they would have full teams of amazing mons ready and willing to fight.
