It was indeed time to go on his full scale adventure. Totodile was at his side as he walked down route 43. There was a lot of history to this route, and it did lead to the legendary Lake of Rage. While he was curious about what could be on this lake and pathway, he knew there was plenty of trainers on this pathway as well, and a chance to meet other friends. A smile was upon his face as he walked, Dilla was often rushing ahead and dart to and fro through the tall grasses, popping out and making a funny face at the trainer, causing him to laugh several time and toss his pokemon a few treats.
"Ya know Dilla. A place like this is pretty nice. I think, if we get the chance, we should spend a few days out here, instead of that the hotel. What do you think?" He asked, looking at the small pokemon for a moment before rubbing his head. "Yeah, I figured as much. You just like being so close to the lake at this point. I get it man." He chuckled again, smiling as he walked towards the tree line. He was sure there was going to be some pokemon here who could help Dilla get stronger, faster, and over all better than he was currently.
“Either way, let's see who we can meet out here, huh bud?” He asked, looking at his pokeballs for a moment and then smiling some. Four in total so far. That was awesome at this point. He was pretty happy to have this many friends, and he really did hope to make more with the pokemon he had and could find. Plus he had met more than a few awesome trainers on this trip so far, so maybe he would run into a few more while he was on this trip.

WORDS 344 NOTES | A week had swung by and Chelsea was still caught up in her emotions, feeling as lonely as ever. See, her brother had brought up the idea of separating for a bit, since they both wanted two completely different things at the moment: she wanted to focus on those extravagant contests their parents used to boast about, and he wanted to focus on earning the gym badges everyone always drones on about. And she agreed to this. But now, as she trudged down another dusty road with nothing but her pokemon to accompany her, she couldn't help herself from feeling a little empty inside. While she would care to never admit it, she truly did miss their endless banter, or the mindless drivel he would spew after a long day of training. They were all things that had grown familiar to her.
Suddenly a flash of scarlet red poured from her bag, notifying her that her pokemon had escape from his ball again. Given how this was the fourth occasion today, she didn't do much to stop it, or even bothered to send him back. Besides, she really wanted the company right now. As she continued to saunter forward with Humps by her side, she heard some unfamiliar voices up ahead. Was it another trainer? Frederick maybe? No, she would've recognize his soothing voice by now. "Hey there," She called out, waving frantically at the figure in front of her. Chelsea was still a good distance away from him, but she didn't want waste any time. The faster she greeted him, the faster she could leave. This thought process, however, quickly contorted into something completely different the moment she got a good look at the trainer. Frosty white hair, crystal blue eyes, topped off with a warm smile - he could easily become a popular model. Until then, starring in her blog should do. "Where are ya coming from?" She asked once they were close enough to each other, "I just came from chōji town. It was kinda boring in my opinion, but hey, some people like that kinda stuff."

He heard a voice, wondering who could possibly be calling out to him from out here. He was honestly not afraid of meeting people, but he didn't really expect to find anyone out here so far. With a small shrug and smile, he looked at the person who was quickly closing on in his location. He waved back and waited for them to get closer. When he realized it was a girl, and she had a pokemon by her side, he simply chuckled a bit.
"Why hello there! It's a pleasure to meet you. I didn't expect to meet anyone out here. I'm from Kikyo City, been wandering around for a little bit now. Trying to see about teaching my pokemon how to be stronger and better in the long run of things." He said, smiling a bit more and then looking around for a moment. He could see the smoke stacks starting towards them already from beyond her. "Odd. Anyways, I'm Bosco. It's a pleasure to meet you...?" He asked, keeping it calm and tossing out one of his pokeballs. A reddish light came out, and Onix appeared. "Hey buddy. I think I should let you handle that."
He pointed and the Onix followed his finger, towards the Koffing that had floated out. Being both a Rock and Ground type gave the monsterously large pokemon a minor advantage. She didn't need to be fast, she just needed to endure everything the pokemon threw her way and could steamroll through if given enough time.
"Sorry, didn't mean to ignore you there for a moment. I seem to have a knack for calling out odd things, and it seems that people and pokemon have a tendency to find me no matter what. Still, you are welcome here to talk with me. I do like having company when I can.” He said, looking at her and then over to the pokemon who was doing her own thing.
The smog attack did... Honestly very little to Onix, and the poison gas did even less. She simply rushed towards the pokemon, crashing into the pokemon with such force as to send him flying away. The Poison Gas pokemon slammed into a tree, and Onix used that as leverage, being hit by the smog once more, and shaking it off quickly to wrap around the pokemon with bind. It remained that way for a short time, before the pokemon finally passed out and Onix backed off, snaking back towards them and lowering her head down for her treat.

Chelsea had attended an event there in the past, and from what she could remember the city had a nice charm to it. If it weren't for her occupation, it was definitely one of the cities she would consider moving to. Well, that and Kogane city. "I'm Chelsea. To be honest, I'm out here for the same reason. I heard there are a lot of water types roaming around these parts, so I wanted to test my strength against them." She said, nodding over to her Numel, "We're at a type disadvantage here, so the training will kinda challenge us, ya know?"
Blinking twice, the blonde followed his finger, turning around to see a duo of wild pokemon approach them. Bosco didn't even bother to shout any commands to his onix, rather, he just sent her towards the koffing without batting an eyelash. So cool. She looked down at her pokemon, attempting to do the same, but all she got in response was a blank look. "C'mon buddy, go over there and knock 'em dead." She said, kneeling down beside the Pokemon, "Try testing out your flamethrower on him. Burn 'em up!" The Pokemon looked back at her with terror glistening in his eyes. They've been constantly battling with his fear of performing in front of others for a while now, but it hadn't seem to be doing much right now. Did he not remember their training in the ruins? "It's okay, no one is going to say a thing." It took a while for Humps to eventually nod back at his trainer and inch towards the unsuspecting Sentret.
Once Humps was only a handful of feet away from his opponent, he released his signature blaze, aiming straight towards him. Upon feeling it's heat, the Sentret sprung to action, dodging the incoming attack with ease. The Pokemon then retaliated with a quick attack, striking the Numel right on the head, leaving him unable to respond. Chelsea watched this from afar, gauging whether she would interfere or not. As much as she wanted to screech commands at him, she knew this wasn't a fight he needed help with - the opposing Pokemon was severely under trained compared to him, and it wouldn't take too much to knock him out.
The Sentret zoomed around Humps aggressively, hopping up and down on his spring-like tail, not even considering Humps worth fighting. This, however, came to a screeching halt the moment it felt the ground beneath it rumble fiercely, creating rifts and miniature canyons around it. Earthquake, she thought, smiling to herself. The overall intensity of the earthquake had sent the Sentret to the ground, immobilizing him for a couple of seconds. That was all it took. Without skipping a beat, the Numel struck his opponent with a streak of fire, incinerating him.
The entire spectacle had completely distracted Chelsea, causing her to ignore everything he had said to her. "Huh?" She looked back up at him, unable to piece together what he had said moments ago, "Sorry, could you repeat that? I kinda got distracted..."
TLDR;
-Chelsea told Bosco why she's there
- Humps was scared to fight in front of others
- He reluctantly proceeded to battle the Sentret
- He won after hitting it w/ an earthquake + flamethrower

Bosco nodded once when Onix had done her thing. A smile was upon his face now. "Well, that solved that much. And well done. I don't think I have ever seen a Numel before. You have trained them well, though I think they just need a bit more self confidence and they will be golden for the future. And I appologized if it seemed like I was ignoring you before. That wasn't the case. I just have quirky pokemon who like to get into trouble when I am not paying attention to them all the time." He said, recalling the Onix into her pokeball. She would need to go to the pokemon center soon to be looked at, make sure she wasn't poisoned. Dilla did a small dance and ran off again. He was going to go play in the bushes while his human did boring human stuff. "If I could offer a bit of advice. There are some pokemon that learn moves to help defend against type disadvantage. I had, for a while, forgotten about moves like that. When I build up the money and Dilla is strong enough, I am going to have him learn a few moves to help out against grass and electric types. Those will be his biggest weakness in the future." He said, smiling a bit as he watched the water type dive into the bushes, having the time of his life. It wasn't long before the pokemon found trouble of it's own. He had landed on top of a buizel. Both of them were surprised, and the buizel had jumped back, clearly fearful of the big jaw pokemon. Dilla looked at it for a moment, blinking his massive eyes until the other one had suddenly rushed him. The quick attack had knocked Totodile backwards, and he retreated, the buizel giving chase, making angry noises behind him. Sliding back out into the clearing, this was more to give the pokemon some room to fight properly. He was not happy about a lot of this, but hey, at this point, it didn't matter, the other one had arrived. The sonic boom had surprised Bosco, and Dilla rolled backwards, shaking his head after the strike and then rushing in with mouth open, biting down hard upon the sea weasel and shaking it for a moment before tossing it away. The pokemon stood up, clearly angry, and rushed Dilla, using quick attack to close the gap quickly and land a solid headbutt. Dilla staggered back a step and then stepped in, giving in to his rage and swinging wildly. It only took a few moments for the damage to pile up and send the buizel flying away from a powerful strike. Bosco blinked, seeing Dilla in the fight and doing just fine on his own. A smile was on his lips as Dilla came back, his body starting to glow softly. Once he reached Bosco, he let out a noise, and the glow took over. He shifted from being about two foot tall, to just over three feet tall. His form was still pudgy, but he was clearly a Croconaw now. When he finished changing, he let out a small roar, happy as can be at this. "Well. Isn't that interesting?" TL;DR - Bosco chatted for a moment - Dilla battled with wild buizel, +2 for Dilla -- Was hit by Sonic boom and quick attack -- Hit wild buizel with Bite and Rage --- Dilla evolved to Croconaw due to hitting level 19! WORDS 513 NOTES | The victorious pokemon waddled back to his trainer, accepting their celebratory pets with glee. While the fight wasn't too difficult for Humps, Chelsea had made a habit of praising him regardless of what happens. She had always preferred the training style of positive enforcement coupled with some harsh realities. It was what always worked for her. "Yeah, I've been trying to help him break out of his shell. I'm scared he won't be ready for the next upcoming contest." She kept her eyes locked onto Humps, watching him nuzzle up against her leg, hiding from the trainer beside them. "Thanks for the advice though. I've been meaning to teach him something that would counter water types. They basically destroy him!"
A shrill screech interrupted their conversation, causing Chelsea to direct her immediate attention onto it, ignoring everything else around her. There, stumbling out of the water, stood a wicked Marill. It glared at them intently, almost screaming 'get out and never come back'. "Speak of the devil." The blonde mumbled under her breath, "I guess we got what we came here for, huh?" Her partner looked up at her with a look over worry blanketing his features, unsure of what to do. They were both well aware of his extreme disadvantage against water types. Hell, the last time they faced a water type Humps got completely wiped out. This time was going to be different though. As threatening as the Marill looked, it was clear to see the inexperience it held behind the mask, making it no better than the previous Pokemon they had just destroyed earlier.
"Humps, use earthquake!"
The Numel cautiously moved forward, making sure to keep his eyes on the Marill who, at this point, was shifting it's weight from one foot to another, ready to pounce at him. Lifting his foot, Humps attempted to use earthquake, but was cut short by his opponent's spray of water directly hitting him. This attack pushed him back an inch, leaving him distracted for a fraction of a second. Marill saw this and went for another blow, not allowing Humps a moment of recovery. Hitting him with a rough tackle, the fire pokemon went flying back, creating a decent gap between them. This time, however, he was prepared. As his opponent sprung forward, readying another attack, Humps released a bubble of exhaustion from his lips, aiming it directly at them. The bubble broke from his lips, floating towards the Marill with an unfamiliar speed that shocked both him and Chelsea. "Wow, that was awesome!" She cheered, waving her arms around frantically, "Now try another Earthquake!"
A feeling of drowsiness consumed the Marill, disabling him from the fight. This gave Humps the perfect opportunity to strike. Lifting his foot for the second time, the pokemon stomped his feet rapidly, causing the ground beneath them to rumble. This created a handful of rifts around the Marill, damaging him significantly. It wasn't enough though. Despite the massive amount of damage it took, the pokemon was still standing, blinking the sleepiness away. So, to finish the job, Humps gave out a final howl, unleashing the pent up bullet of flames that had been manifest within his stomach, ready to be used.
With this final attack, the water type fell, unable to battle further.
TLDR:
Numel fights Maril
Gets hurt by water gun + tackle
Uses Yawn, then earthquake + Flamethrower
Numel is lying at around 30% health or so
Marill faints

"Well, it looks like you got your wish." He said, smiling a bit and petting his new Croconaw's head. "How ya feel Dilla? Pretty strong?" He asked, the pokemon doing a small dance, but he was clearly not as willing to burn through energy as he was in his last form. Bosco smiled a bit more and looked at the woman as she worked on helping her pokemon to defeat one of the water type pokemon that had appeared. She was skilled, and she was able to help boost her pokemon's confidence. That was useful for helping to make a pokemon braver, stronger, and deepening the bond between them. That was... Well, helpful.
He smiled a bit more, standing up and popping his neck. "Ahh. Well, let's see if we can stir up some more trouble. I want to see where you can stop at my little friend." He said, chuckling a bit and looking around for a few moments. His eyes widened a bit when the pokemon in the shadows finally moved. "Well now! Look at what we have over there!" He pointed to the pokemon that was floating just out of the light.
The Gastly that was hidden in the shadows finally showed itself, moving a bit closer and making it so they could see the pokemon a bit more. It made a seriously dark face and made Dilla take a step back. When it went to take another step, Dilla shook his head. Mean look was going to prevent him from fleeing. Dilla stepped forwards, blasting the ghostly pokemon with a hydropump, causing it fly though one of the near by trees. Bosco and Dilla both chased after it, and when Dilla saw the pokeball, he knew what was up. This was one of the ones that his boss wanted to capture.
When the Gastly floated back up, it opened it's eyes wide, hitting Dilla with a Night Shade. Dilla staggered back once more, shaking his head and rushing forwards, opening his mouth wide and biting down on the pokemon. The dark style attack was something that caused a large amount of damage to the ghost type. When the Gastly turned her head, she licked across Dilla's face, causing him to let her go and he shook his head. He bit down once more, shaking his head and then throwing the ghostly pokemon towards Bosco. It was time.
Raising up the pokeball, he would throw it towards the ghost pokemon, trying to capture it. The ball hit the pokemon, turned it into the red light and pulling it into the orb itself. When it landed, the ball would start to shake, with a red light on the front.
“Alright, let's try capture this whisper and see what we can pull off!”

WORDS 309 NOTES | The previous battle had severely wounded the Pokemon, leaving him huffing with exhaustion. He waddled back to his trainer slowly and offered a weak smile. The sight of this immediately sent Chelsea into action. Her hands went flying into her bag, searching around for a potion. "This should help out," She whispered softly, revealing the small spray bottle in her hand. She knelt beside Humps and gingerly caresses his hump, spraying his body gently. The mist secreted from the bottle covered his skin, healing up the small wounds that were scattered around his body. Once done, the Pokemon sprung back up from it's slumped position, squealing with joy.
The sudden sound of squeaking came from the surrounding forest, accompanying Humps' recent squeal of delight. This unexpected sound was followed by the swift entrance of a Buneary bouncing towards them, a devilish grin playing on her lips. Both Humps and the Buneary inched towards each other cautiously, their steps short and slow. Then, without a second to spare, the small buneary dashed forward, striking the Numel with a quick attack. The attack hit him on the nose, sending him back an inch. With a grunt escaping his lips, the Numel shook off the damage and recomposed himself, ready to fight back. A brown aura began to glow around the Numel, growing brighter by the second, making Buneary confused as to what was happening. The ground begun to shake viciously. The buneary was barely able to maintain it's footing before tumbling to the ground, rolling a little after impact. This gave Humps enough time to combo the Magnitude (6) he just used with a flamethrower. This was enough to knock out the weak opponent.
After their small tussle fizzled out, Chelsea directed her attention onto the stranger once more, noting the Pokemon he was trying to capture. "Oh, hey, nice find!" She exclaimed, "I hope you did enough to catch him. Ghost Pokemon can be annoying to catch sometimes."
