the echoes of route 45 played loudly as the ambient noise began to reverb against the mountains only amplifying the noise as he continued closer to the entrance of the ice cave. the team virus grunt was considering to simply teleport out back to the poke center until Kadabra sent over a feeling through his mind telling Darius that there was someone closing in on them at around 5 'o clock. He heard the trainer's voice first, at first a simple mumble of a greeting drowned out by the other various noises of the route until the Team Virus Grunt turned around and saw the trainer in which he left in Ilex Forest to his own devices. He hadn't seemed as hostile as before, it was a bit surprsing actually that he even waved but for now, Darius would play into what seemed like a facade simply because he was interested in the other's angle. "Ye, I remember ya, kid." nodding over to the man in which his Kadabra responded with an intense mental jab prodding his trainer to pretend like he had some home training. not that he did, the wilds of fusube city where something else. "yeah, no problem. you helped too." not that it meant that lullaby had any status effect moves but it was decent enough advice anyways, "cool, 'm darius. you lost or something?" the route was pretty difficult to traverse and from the scene of his pokemon behind him, they almost seemed as if they were bickering. the joys of only a single pokemon, the bond only tethered in a line.

with darius about to give directions to the man, on the corner of his eye, the grunt noticed two pokemon with their eyes set on the sitrus berry tree that they had right behind the duo of trainers. it a flurry of movements, both the wild eevee and magby began sprinting towards the tree with the desire of being the pokemon to eat the delicious fruit off the berry tree. in the panic, the eevee accidentally slammed his body into darius' and it caused the man to stagger backwards hitting the tree, causing the berry to fly off it and split in two against andrew's shoes. 

in that moment, both additional pokemon looked as if they were not having it at all and similtaneously unleashed a sand-attack and ember over to the pair of trainers. "shit andrew." he remembered the man's name. "call out one of your mons, we're gonna have to take care of this."it didn't take any time at all for lullaby to appear, teleporting in front of both of the trainers to take the attacks. the ember seemed weak enough for the other to handle but the sand-attack had some strength to it but not enough for the psychic type to figure out how this battle would commence. 

"start this shit out with a focus blast." the tm he found in ilex forest was focus blast, the powerful fighting type move that was the perfect counter for nasty dark-type pokemon. this was the first time lullaby used the move in a battle and brought his hands together in front of his belly. the fighting energy began to grow immensely until he released the focus blast right at the normal pokemon. lullaby's strength was showcased but so was the wild eevee's tenacity as he stayed standing, a slight tremble in his feet but otherwise not going anywhere. the wild eevee retaliated with a bite attack, creating a speed to launch swiftly into the kadabra's shoulderblade that the pokemon winced and cried out in pain before shaking himself free. "fuck, psychic now!" the grunt worried as he had never heard his pokemon cry out like that before with such intensity. the violet energy sent the eevee flying,some damage down but the swift normal dog-like pokemon landed on his feet and began a full sprint back at the kadabra with another bite attack this time aimed for his left leg. the eevee's teeth sank in with power, lullaby wincing and feeling his health drip beyond his normal half limit that he sets for himself.

"recover and shake that eevee off." lullaby nods as kadabra heals himself, the fortitude of the move sends the wild eevee off of him with such a devilish smirk in the normal pokemon's playful battling method. "finish with an ice punch." the eevee opened up his jaws again for another bite. this time, kadabra was ready as he collected the icy energy against his left fist and punched the eevee right in the face freezing him while taking more damage from the third bite attack. it seemed as if the eevee was close enough to fainting and Damien thew one of his many pokeballs over to the eevee, hoping that this would sedate the fighter spirit inside of that mon.
