To no one's surprise Cass had decided to start her official career as a conversationalist in the national park of her home town. She was no stranger to the expansive park, having spent much of her childhood being escorted through the lavish park by the staff her family had hired to keep an eye on her.
She was alone this time, something she wasn't quite used to. The female took comfort in the meowth that had draped itself around her neck much like a scarf in lieu of walking. His gentle breathing as he slept and warmth of his body was a reminder she wasn't truly alone even if his company wasn't exactly reassuring should they run into issues...
Cass shook her head, trying to physically clear herself of such thoughts. She has just recently finished college at a rather prestigious school and with her professor's degree in hand had made the decision to put her studies to good use - and work on saving the land pokemon existed in. It wasn't hard to find a company desperate to have her -- after all her last name held quite a bit of weight in the region. The Moore's were quite an influential family known to give grants to studies they found worthy. So when their daughter showed interest in their firm she was hired instantly and given the cushy job of walking the park.
Her feet carried her along the well worn paths as memories of her youth flooded back with each twist and turn. Up ahead she remembered tripping and skinning her knee. As her wails filled the area, one of the escorts had lifted her onto her shoulders and carried her home. A warm smile crossed her lips as she remembered the glee she felt in the memory, injured knee soon forgotten in a fit of laughter as she pretended to be a plane soaring across the park.
Once again Cass shook her head at herself, realizing she had completely missed the area she had wanted to gather data on in her reverie. Backtracking a bit she stepped away from the path and into a small out cropping of trees nearby. Kneeling she ran her hand along the grass by the base of the tree, noticing it seemed shorter than what one should see off the path.
The clipboard she had tucked under her arm and began to jot down notes on her observation sheet.
