The call of his trainer didn't go unnoticed, as the two reached the stairs they were attacked by another set of bird pokemon much to the researches annoyance, Fair however seemed to be enjoying the event a little too much even. The bird pokemon as if noticing the strength of the eevee chose to focus on his partner's pokemon who thankfully had refrained from using anymore fire attacks much to Azad's appreciation. "Fai, you heard him. Don't let the enemy escape." The normal type would pick up its pace slightly the brown fox moving something like a blur as it hopped off the steps ready to intervene in the tag team battle. Noticing the intervention one of the two flying types would slam it's wing into the fox pokemon dealing light damage, but not nearly enough to end the eevee's pursuit. Azad would cross his arms deciding on the next technique to use, "Covet. Take it down."
The normal type wasted no time quickly slamming into the one of the enemy starly hoping over the torchic and running the flying type pokemon into a wall before frisking its body for anything of worth, as was the nature of the technique, sadly there was nothing the eevee could make use of and so it'd back away from the unconscious body of the starly only then realizing that the pokemon had been taken down in a single strike. Fai would tilt his head sideways having hoped for a more exciting battle, but was simply resigned to its victory eying the second starly now if the fire type needed help.
Azad with his portion of the battle over would simply watch his fellow trainer to see how exactly he'd handle the situation now that he himself had leveled the battle ground again. The man would however make the time to retrieve the second starly's body as the battle went on just as he'd made the effort in their first encounter.

Assitance is just what Ares, and Lilith needed and that is what they had just got. It was perfect, in response to his call, Azad had commanded his eevee to deal with one of the pokemon, thus knocking it out in one hit. Shock was written all over his face that even Azad would be able to see the expression clearly. This really did make him question whether he was a normal trainer or some unknown guy whohas been hiding his true ability this entire time.
Inwardly sighing to himself Ares did not have an excuse now, and it was his turn to deal with the latter of the two pokemon that was now just floating in utter shock that its bethren had just been taken down. With this opportunity Ares commanded Lilith to attack once again. "Claw that bird down! Use Slash." With the fire pokemon agreeing with her trainer, she jumped hacking and slashing with her claws. With the instability of the ground, it was fairly risky to do any manouvres like that as it was unsure if the ground would collapse under the weight of the pokemon landing back down.
"Shit." Muttering under his breath Ares had just realised the error of his ways. With the success of the attack it was quite a surprise that the pokemon had also been beaten with a few attacks. The bird did retaliate but most of it was proved naught through Lilith's use of Mirror Move. With the successful defeat of the pokemon, Lilith began to glow, white at that. It was a shock thing as the pokemon was evolving right infront of Ares and Azads eyes. The small bird pokemon now had arms in which it could utilise. Ares was proud, and happy, but even those words couldnt fully express how he was feeling at the evolution of his starter pokemon.
Needless to say, he had a job to do and his short lived moment of joy was replaced with determination to reach the top of the stairs.

When Azad turns back to his partner the small fire type he'd wielded prior had evolved into a much larger chicken, A quick scan of his pokedex revealed the fire type to be a combusken showing that over the course of this little event and even more over the course of the Journey Ares had definitely made waves with his pokemon. The man and his teammate had grown and despite his earlier recklessness Azad could only smile patting the trainer on the shoulder. "Congratulations." It was short but sincere. Fai who in the time of the evolution had long since made it to the top of the stairs would call the trainers a soft growl as it waited by the door to the rooftop. The pokemon was on edge.
After collecting the two new fallen Starly Azad would nod the man forward carefully climbing the steps himself recalling Metang to their pokeball. Upon entering the rooftop the trainers were face to face with the flock leader. Beady black eyes watched as Azad placed his comrades on the side of the tower not yet attacking either of the trainers. It seemed the pokemon had a concept of honor, and with its allies defeated it was time for a showdown. Fai despite his readiness to take the battle would be interrupted by one of the silver haired man's pokemon releasing itself for the battle. Nero, or perhaps scyther to everyone else on the rooftop would take this fight. Despite it's general plucky body it'd be apparent to both trainers that this pokemon wasn't one to take lightly and because of the danger. Even with its size the darker-skinned man couldn't help but find himself smile. Glancing at Nero's expression it was apparent the bug type felt the same way. While the odds weren't exactly stacked in their favor they'd fight it out.
A single emerald eye would fall to Ares.
"We're on the roof. If we're this high up you don't need to hold back." It'd be almost as if Azad's entirely personality shifted, if Ares watched closely enough he'd be able to see the silver haired man tremble. "You take the mate, don't interrupt my fight."
With that Azad would step up behind his Scyther arms crossed, both focused.
As the sun sunk a little lower the shadows elongated and finally. The Battle Begun.
"Nero Double Team!" In a flash one scyther would split into 8 Clones sporadically placed around the building, a tried and true tactic but the enemy starly saw through the technique instantly blasting at a speed faster than he'd seen any pokemon fly, like a bullet the pokemon would use it's quick attack striking through clones faster than they could be created reaching the scyther in seconds slamming the bug pokemon into the railing bending it severely in the slam. In pain the bug pokemon would growl forcing himself off. "Swords Dance, stay on guard! the rougher bird pokemon would continue to slam into the bug type Nero barely managing to deflect the attacks raising his attack all the while the pokemon's blades becoming sharper as the battle continued. Still with each strike the Nero got weaker. The gap between the pokemon's abilities was becoming more apparent.
The bird pokemon almost bored with the fight would prepare to end it it's entire body glowing blue the pokemon would sail high into the sky it's shadow almost blocking out the evening sun for a moment before diving down in a sort of Hail Mary. Azad swore wasting no time. "NIGHT SLASH GET OUT OF THE WAY." Even if Scyther managed to block the attack there was no way the bug type would survive a brave bird from a pokemon so powerful, but the constant quick attacks had definitely done their work severely weakening the bug pokemon's joints.
The bird wasn't only faster than the Scyther, it was also stronger, more experienced. "Use the force from Night Slash as a spring!" Nero who'd intially prepared to counter head on would angle his now dark purple blades at the ground in a single motion using the power from the swords dance boosted attack to propel himself into the sky narrowly avoiding the flaming blue bird. Even so the bird pokemon would simple destroy any remaining railing in the crash powering through the mix of steel and stone. It was apparent the brave bird had done its damage the flying pokemon, but it wasn't nearly enough to take itself out.
"Follow up with slash!" Using the momentum of it's attack the bug pokemon would spiral in the air using its wings to blast itself toward the starly on for the slash to miss the bird pokemon once again countering with a number of quick attacks the final slamming the flying type into the roof shaking the entire building.
Azad wasted no time running the pokemon's side as it attempted to get up. Beaten and bruised the bug pokemon wouldn't quit forcing itself up using it's scythe as a cane the the prideful bug would continue to fight. Azad could feel his throat dry, He needed to call it. If the pokemon forced itself any farther it could be over, forreal. But a look into the mantis pokemon's eyes kept the trainer quiet.
He wouldn't step on the pokemon's spirit.
Knowing the battle wasn't over the bird pokemon who'd circled up above prepared to end the battle. Once again the pokemon began to glow blue gaining speed as it began to spiral down back towards the rooftop.
"You're not fast enough to reach him. The only chance we have is beating him in a clash. Can you do it."
The scyther roared with pride the fire in the pokemon's eyes growing further still the sheen of its coat began to change. "Swords Dance."
One shot.
The pokemon became sharper than the trainer had ever seen.
"Don't hold anything back. This is all we have left."
The pokemon with one push despite knowing he wasn't fast or even strong enough. Despite the type advantage the scyther wouldn't give up. No it'd push harder increasing its speed as it flew into the sky.
And then it happened.
As the pokemon flew its body almost encased itself in steel. The metal coat it held almost encapsulated the pokemon as it flew higher in an instant the once green pokemon had become red it's entire body sleeker as it gained speed. It's eyes and body new moved on a new level as the two pokemon sailed toward each other.
Azad would make the call here and now. With its power maxed there was no time better than now.
From the rooftop the hair disheveled eyes wide the trainer called his final attack.
SCIZOR SUPERPOWER!"
A red aura sleek and strong would surround itself becoming pink as the two blasted toward each other until finally the two pokemon clashed. Pink and Blue fighting for control smoke and sparks lighting the evening sky as the two lights pushed against each other both ardently refusing to give up pride and duty only adding to the force behind each attack.
"NERO DON'T LOSE!" The trainer screamed at the top of his lungs as blue began to overpower the pink only for in a final last ditch effort the pink would expand and in a fail swoop it would overtake the starly blasting through the aura knocking the starly out of the sky in the attack. With the boss starly falling unconscious Azad would rush to the edge of the rooftop throwing a greatball to catch the pokemon lest its body break upon hitting the ground killing the pokemon who'd fought so hard.
A red light would absorb the pokemon and with ball landing on the rooftop alongside the newly evolved Nero. Azad's battle had finally ended.

Perfect. Both Azad and Ares the pinnacle moment of their little excursion together. It was pretty much now or never as reaching the roof of the building meant that they were now finally able to proceed with the task they had been assigned. Azad himself spoke music into Ares ears, effectively saying that both Lilith and him could run rampant. The momentary ban on using any fire attacking inside the unstable building was a handicap for them, but now it was game on. Upon evolving Lilith had a few new moves in her arsenal, mainly thunder punch which truly did surprise Ares quite a bit. 'This move could not come at any other time so perfect.'
A small smirk crept on his face, as he sent his now freshly evolved pokemon to the battle field, Ares had to keep watch on so that he can attempt not interrupt Azad's battle. In his eyes such a request was foolish, its not like he could control where the wild pokemon flew to and such; it would take a large magnitude of psychic ability to limit the mobility of such pokemon. Needless to say time was running out for Ares as the wild starly swooped down to attack Lilith with a wing attack.
What Ares failed to realise was that Lilith was now a fighting type in addition to fire, thus she had just taken a multitude of damage from that wing attack. Pain. Rage. Intensified emotions were erupting from Lilith as she was forced to gather herself and put herself upright from her downed position, so much so that the fire pokemon's was unconsiously using a move that Ares was unaware she had learned. Thunder punch. The electrified fore arm of the pokemon was ready to swing as at the wild pokemon as it came back around to attack.
"Buskennn!" Letting out a scream as she put effort in this punch. Connecting with the wing of the pokemon; the wild starly was sent back towards the ground. Static surrounding the pokemon as it crashed and slid across it. Seizing this chance as quickly and briefly it presented itself Ares called out to Lilith to attack the pokemon. "Use flamethrower!" But instead of listening, she did her own thing.
Rushing towards the downed pokemon, Lilith just continued to use Thunder Punch pummelling at the downed bird. With the build up of electricity starting to affect the bird, it dropped the guard it was using through shielding itself with steel wing. "What on earth?!." Shocked as Ares was the fire bird did not give up on its relentless assault as it deeply inhaled before releasing a massive flamethrower from effectively point blank range. Scared for himself, as well as the wild pokemon. Ares recalled Lilith before she could permanently maim the wild pokemon.
The wild starly was not moving, which actually worried Ares. Rushing over and picking up the pokemon, a sigh of relief escaped Ares mouth as the pokemon was still breathing. "Thank god."
With the mission completed and the two boss birdies down, the last thing they had to do was report back to the woman waiting on ground level outside of the building.
