The boy was incredibly delighted, though he was initially worried at the sound of rustling grass before the shape of a Gible popped up from the grass and walked over to the group. Not very aggressive, it seemed it wanted to play through a battle to pass the time. He wanted to work on combinations, but it really wasn't fair to gang up on such an honest Pokemon. Nudging Ariel with his finger, he indicated that she should be the one to deal with the dragon-type. As soon as she stepped forward, the little dragon began to dig into the ground with vigor and burrow deep beneath the pair. On guard, she looked around with cautious attempting to anticipate where the little one would rise up from. As if waiting for the hesitation, he burst up from the ground and delivered a headbutt to the Buizel.

Sent reeling, she flipped in the air to recover her balance and then fired a fierce Water Gun back at Gible. Returning down his hole, it waited beneath the ground until a hard thud indicated that Ariel had touched the ground once more. Using that as a sign, he swam through the ground and snuck behind her to deliver a hard punch. Seeing an opportunity to hit the tiny dragon up close, she rushed in with Quick Attack. The attack connected, but the rough skin possessed by the Gible actually did damage back to the Buizel who cried in pain.

"Ariel! Are you okay?! Do you want to take a rest?" the boy asked, worried about his partner who shook her head in response as she steeled her resolve to fight to the end. The Gible attempted to use Slash, but she was lithe enough to dodge. Scared for any return fire, he scrambled to dig another hole and escape Ariel's wrath.

"Alright, fill all of those holes with your Water Gun!" he demanded, as she expelled streams of water into the various holes that had been created around them. Without much further delay, they began to flood and the Gible rose to the surface in a panic.

"Now, hit him with a direct attack!"

Aiming her Water Gun, he attempted to create a Sandstorm to counter. The ground around him burst into a slowly rising tornado, but Ariel was already in the air and poised to defeat him. Attacking with an overhead Water Gun, the sands dispelled as it fell to the floor. Clicking the button on the blue ball at his waist, he tossed the last Great Ball at his disposal.
