'well, not just a little.'

ash was crouched before the feline, whom was resting upon his belly, his rough tongue sticking out past his furred lips as he breathed heavily.

'looks like he's stress panting.'

she ran her fingers through the luxray's mane, his expression worryingly vacant as he failed to respond with his usual rumbling purr. no, instead he was mostly silent, his chest rising and falling rapidly.

"rook was down here," ash said. "i left her down here and she stopped his fall and put him down gently."

her medicham was at her mistress's side, a three-fingered hand resting upon the large feline's side as he began to slowly but surely recover from his fall.

"i may need to take him to a pokemon center - just encase."

ash wasn't entirely sure if he had suffered any injuries in the midst of his fall, and the brave bird had, after all, connected.

"knight, return."

the feline was secured within the comfortable confines of his capsule, and the girl would take care to make sure the containment device was properly secured to her belt. her staraptor would also be placed within his own pokeball, and once such a task had been completed, she would dip her head in a gesture of respect toward the young woman.

"they said they'd deposit the money into our accounts once the birds were completely gone."

ash raised her gaze, the flock mere specks in the distance by now.

"with those two starly gone, i doubt they'll show their faces around here for a while. and by the time they do, the building should be completely destroyed."

she stood fully and gestured for her medicham to follow.

"see ya around."

and without even acquiring the girl's name she would take her leave, hurrying toward the pokecenter with rook following closely behind.
