Tch, it'd be almost pathetic for things like that to bother her. Admittedly, yes, upon first watching the aerodactyl lay siege unto some poor trainer's pichu was...a bit haunting. But, the most 'scarring' thing that came from out of that situation was the stupid check she had to pay the trainer due to her prehistoric idiot not being able to contain his hunger. And so, the brown/blue haired trainer only smirked at the other's assumption, simply giving a shrug of her shoulders. "I'm not weakhearted." She'd defiantly, and proudly, state.

Valefor licked at his large maw, feathers falling from his mouth as his hungry glower rested on the remaining starly. Vivian couldn't help but wickedly smirk at the other trainer's words - now, those were words she liked to hear. It was like she had finally found someone who could follow her logic, and she respected that. In comparison to the many, many pathetic encounters the girl had came across - that dumbass giant man for one - this trainer was like a dream come true. "Fuck yeah. I like your style."

And then, that's when karma decided to be a bitch.

Faster than either of them could react, they were confronted with the leaders of the flock - who had a presence that...seemed far to powerful for a starly of all things. Their feathers had tinges of grey - a few places barre with a tiny scar, they were experienced. And surprisingly enough, pretty damned strong. A vibrant burst of blue consumed the male starly, and with a startling speed and strength, had knocked the luxray straight from the top of the building.

Oh.

Shit.

"Valefor-!" The aerodactyl dived - moving to try and save the falling feline, but, was pushed back with a surprising amount of strength by the other starly. This one was weaker, but, still strong. Wings lightly glowing in a wing attack, it rammed itself into the dragon-like flying type, pushing him back, and just out of reach of the falling ally. "Fuck," Vivian hissed, her chest squeezing almost a bit painfully as she expected to hear the gruesome sound of bones snapping as the pokemon hit the ground. Thankfully, such a nightmarish noise never came, as the luxray was saved, just in time, by...something? She wasn't sure who - she didn't get a chance to see. Because, damn, this starly was serious.

In her brief moment of losing focus, her attention was immediately directed back up and towards the sky, watching as her aerodactyl and the starly traded blows with wing attacks. However, the bird was tiny - so tiny that it was hard for the much larger, although faster, pokemon to hit. The tiny bastard of a starly had the nerve to use agility as well, making it even harder to pinpoint as it quickly moved back and forth.

"Valefor, focus - listen to me," Vivian would shout at the flying pokemon, but, the aerodactyl seemingly ignored her. Irritated roars came from his jaws as his once posed, smart tactics began to devolve into an almost primal style of fighting. He'd ram his body forward in an attempt at iron head - and he'd miss, only to be struck on the back by a well placed quick attack. By the time the pokemon turned to snap fire drenched jaws around his tiny attacker, another quick attack was tackled into his chest, sending him back a bit. The attacks weren't as bad thanks to his typing, but, even she could see the pokemon was getting winded.

From where the tiny bird bravely hovered in the sky, their was a dangerous glow of its eyes as it recklessly tackled itself forward - a dangerous move, no doubt. "Dodge it - counter overhead with an iron head!" There was no way he could take the attack head on, and if he just...listened to her, she was positive they could win. Unfortunately, he didn't. He snapped his jaws forward in an attempt at a fire fang, but, like all others, it missed the speedy pokemon, who tackled into him in a powerful 'endeavor' attack. With a screech of pain, the aerodactyl went plummeting - directly down...and heading towards them. If he fell atop of them - hell, if he fell atop the building from how high he'd been fighting, not only would they be seriously injured, but, their was a good chance he'd cave the building in.

"Fucking - shit!" Vivian hissed, quickly taking out the aerodactyl's pokeball and returning him to it. She was sure he had a tiny bit of fight left - she was positive he was seething. But, right now, she couldn't afford to take that chance. These shitty birds had proven that they'd easily kill if it meant to protect their own...and she could respect that. It meant she didn't need to hold back when wiping the floor with these damned birds. To the sideline, she could see her companion engaged in a fierce battle on her own...That's right - she couldn't fall behind!

"Asta," she called out her partner pokemon's name as she tossed the familiar, slightly worn down pokemon in the air. The familiar small, green pokemon cried out his name as he stood tall. Almost immediately, he was assaulted with a quick attack, had the larvitar not lept to the side to avoid it at the last minute. "No time to explain - use stone edge," stones shot from the tiles of the roof, jutting upwards into the starly, who let out a cry of pain - something that, honestly, brought Vivian a bit of joy. However, this damned bird was tough...And, honestly, Valefor hadn't done as much damage as she had expected him to. Still raring to go, the starly charged, using its far superior speed over Asta to down him in several quick attacks, all too fast for him to properly avoid each and every time.

"Use crunch on your left - now!" The larvitar turned, catching the starly's wing, finally, and sending it flying with a sharp bite to its wing. The starly let out a cry, fluttering about, trying to gather itself. It breathed heavy, a few feathers plucked from its body - it was likely on its last leg. But, before Vivian could issue out a last and final command, the bird wasn't ready to give up just yet.

A similar blaze of energy covered the starly once before as it prepped to use endeavor. It speed forward, prepared to defeat the injured, tired larvitar with a single, crippling attack. "On your right!" Vivian would command as the starly appeared on the tiny green pokemon's right...She swore she saw the demon of a bird smirk of all things. With an enhanced speed that was almost too fast to follow, it changed courses completely, instead attacking Asta from above.

He was completely unprepared, and let out a loud cry of pain as the starly tore into him - nearly sending him over the edge, had he not steeled himself. "Asta!" The actually concerned shout left her lips - she could only imagine how much pain he was in. She expected to the see the larvitar collapsed, perhaps tottering off of the edge, prepared to meet the same fate as that luxray.

But, instead...she saw the severely injured pokemon encased in a bright light. His form expanded, becoming spikier and darker in color. Limbs drew inside of an almost shell like formation, and when the light finally died, a new form stood in its place. No longer a larvitar, the pokemon let out a bellowing cry - it was a Pupitar.

"You...evolved?" The dumbfounded expression left Vivian's lips before she could stop it. The starly too stared, eyes widened at the renewed sight of the once-larvitar standing proudly before it. "Holy fucking shit, you evolved! Fuck yes!" She...couldn't help but smile - an actual smile. It felt stupid, pathetic, and dorky. But, shit man, she was happy. It had always seemed like the little green bastard wouldn't evolve for the life of him but...He had came through for her. Just like he always did.

"Lets finish this then, partner," a wicked grin came to her lips, and fear shown in the wild bird pokemon's eyes. "Stone edge!" Glowing stones, much larger than before, jutted from the rooftop, spiraling upwards as the starly tried to waste away. Quickly, they pierced their target, the starly letting out a crippling cry as it was, finally, defeated. While Vivian wanted to pride herself in her pokemon's new evolution - now wasn't the time.

It seemed she and her companion had finished around the same time - perhaps the other girl a bit earlier. She barely caught her frantic words before she was gone with a rush of wind, having left to check on her possibly injured, or worse, pokemon. After petting the large form of her new pupitar on the head a few times, she returned him to his pokeball, promising him they'd celebrate later with 'candy or something'. It was...nice to know he was still the same as always despite being a literal rock now. She called out Valefor once more, who was quiet - perhaps in his own anger - and the duo descended.

It took Vivian a bit longer to get back onto ground level due to her aerodactyl's injuries, but, finally, she did. And when she did, she slowly approached the other trainer...unsure what to really say in this situation aside from a slightly loud, and painfully blunt,

"Did...he die?"

Tl;dr because this shits long af: Vivian tried to get Valefor to save Knight, but it didn't work. Turns out this starly's an og and beats tf out of Valefor, who won't listen to commands. Because big flying boi's falling and likely about to crush both her and ash, Vivian returns him and sends out Asta. Asta and the starly fight, he takes a super stronk endeavor to the face, but, instead of fainting, he evolves and beats the shit out of starly finally. Vivian flies down to Ash to see whats up.
