♦♦♦♦ ♦♦♦♦ Mirai would be reminded again that reliable adults were great. Even a small attempt at encouragement was a welcome experience at gave her the impression that people cared. Whether he told her to or not, she had every intention of staying close. Keeping warm and hopefully getting dry were her top priorities at the moment. The light made sure she didn't step on anything dangerous either as they made their way through the forest.
It was a curious journey through the woods. Although you would think it would be rather difficult to navigate, the path to go on just seemingly materialized in front of them with the positioning of the trees clearly directing the travelers where to go. It was strange considering they pretty much just ran for the jungle and could have ended up anywhere in it and yet still managed to make it on that path. Mysterious forces were at work for sure but for now it didn't seem like there were any immediate dangers.
The path would lead them to a surprising encounter with a Pokemon noticeably larger than what was normal for its species. It was an Oranguru and this would be Mirai's first time seeing one in person as there normally weren't any in Johto. The species was native to the Alola region so it was unusual to find one here. She was expecting the worst and so when the wise Pokemon made its intentions known through telepathy, she could only sigh in relief. At the very least it sounded as though it wouldn't have to come to a fight.
A couple of the adults seem agree it was better to take up the Pokemon's offer. There was nothing to gain from making unnecessary enemies. Though Mirai did feel they may have been getting ahead of themselves a bit by trying to ask for information in exchange. As far as she knew, the Oranguru's deal only involved letting them pass. Asking for more than that might only increase the difficulty of whatever trial he had in store for them. Still perhaps the adults judged that information was worth the trouble. She hoped they would not regret that decision.
She nodded her head respectfully as a greeting and continued to stay back, letting the adults handle the negotiations. Beside her, Floatzel did the same. She noticed Azad giving a small smile of encouragement and so she returned a small smile of her own to confirm that she was alright.
tl;dr - Noticed the path seemingly leading them somewhere specific. Found the Oranguru's terms reasonable and would let the adults take care of negotiations. Smiled back at Azad.

He was a bit sad that the ancient ball had missed its mark. But that's a cop for you, and his sidekick Pokemon. They had to be one step ahead of the bad guy, right? How droll. Until next time then, maybe Zombie would land a hit. "Well, time to see what's up ah--" An odd pain inserted itself into Zombie's head. A pain that he, indeed, hated when it came to Telepathy. "Tch..." There was something he hated about those who possessed psychic abilities. Alas, that was a story for another time.
He watched as Joy took the lead in speaking with the Oranguru, everyone else remaining in their own respective lane. Zombie, merely leaning upon a tree bark, directed his gaze elsewhere with folded arms. Unappeased, nor impressed, by the Pokemon regarded as Oranguru. He merely wanted to continue the path toward the temple. For what reason did this monkey stand before them? He had not the slightest idea, but he was curious. Perhaps it was a guardian of some sort? They would soon find out once the gorilla had given the group a proper response.
NOTE: Nothing interesting really happened. Just stayed in his lane for the time being, leaned upon a tree bark awaiting for the Oranguru to respond.

[nospaces] [attr="class","Vgentempbox"] [attr="class","Vgentemptitle"]The Impertinent [attr="class","Vgentempdiv"] [attr="class","Vgentempheader"]event 002. Beginning [break][break] The Oranguru watches you all, patiently awaiting your decision, noting each and every one of your actions. Thankfully, that stern look the scholarly pokemon bore quickly changed into one of content. It seems the Oranguru was pleased at your ability to not only decide so quickly, but, to realize the smarter choice of what was presented to you. It seemed you all managed to earn the Oranguru's respect! [break][break] "Many times before on this island I've seen your kind fight instead of helping one another. Seldom is it the island that brings them to their demise," the sage like pokemon rasped out, giving a nod of approval at the choice you all made. The psychic pokemon would shift, regarding each of the trainers with an unreadable stare - its stare briefly resting on NURSE JOY - perhaps thinking over her 'offer' and then resting on Frederick Ferdinand , appreciative of his genial politeness. "The knowledge I can share with you is limited for more reasons than one." It bemused, fanning itself once more with the grandiose fan it possessed. "Heed my request and I'll share with you what I may, chosen few." [break][break] "There is a small pokemon, one of the many I watch over - a pikipek. I fear she has gone into dangerous territory, and I need you to retrieve her immediately." Despite the pokemon's grave tone, the tranquil look of the old pokemon hadn't changed in the least. A heavy arm lifted, a brief glow of bright blue encasing its fan. In a magnificent show of psychic prowess, the trees would bend and twist, creating a path previously hidden that led deeper into the forest. [break][break] "That path leads to the lair of a pokemon known as Dewpider. I advise to not touch any of the spiderwebs there excluding the one holding pikipek. Once you do, leave immediately. Strong and smart you are - else you wouldn't have been chosen. But, I believe far greater threats lingers if you make the wrong choices." The oranguru mused, before ushering forth the trainers with a small nod. [break][break] The path was dark - perhaps darker than even the forest. It was only a short walk that'd lead the trainers to a massive lair full of pools of water, a few shrubs of glowing moss, and spiderwebs everywhere, making it hard to walk just straight through. Inside of it would rest the form of the tiny, crying bird - desperate for help before she would become lunch. It was nearly pitch black inside of the cavern, with only a few streams of light making its way inside from the entrance. Though most were likely asleep, plenty of Dewpider lingered in the cavern, with a single Dewpider actively guarding their newest haul. [break][break] While larger pokemon could fit within the cave, perhaps that's not the best decision, this time around? Take into consideration the location, the predicament, and all other factors, and you may be able to make it out unscathed. However, lingering too long may just lead to your downfall as well. Despite the constant relaxed expression the ranger wore, this encounter actually had him a bit on the tense side. The sight of Oranguru seeming to be genuinely pleased with their answer prompted a soft sigh of relief to escape through his nostrils. Part of him suspected that the pokmeon would respond with arrogance and start making ridiculous demands. After all they were largely at his whim, as he was quite possibly the only pokemon on the entire island that they would be able to communicate. But thus far the gigantic ape seemed to be genuinely glad to hear that they were more interested in offering aid than trying to forge their own path. Hopefully his judgement wasn't off it's mark. The real question was what could be limiting this pokemon's ability to share what he knew? Was he restricting himself to ensure the island would remain a challenge for the group? Or were there other forces at work here that were preventing him from telling it all? In the end it didn't really matter why. This was their chance to go from a couple of educated guesses and hypotheses to some actual facts about this island and the situation here. The ranger listened carefully to the instructions, his golden eyes turning to the path that their potential guide had revealed to them. The oranguru's change in tone was noted as well, the seriousness with which he addressed the matter further convincing the ranger that he was indeed truly concerned about this matter. It was likely that this massive pokemon would be unable to navigate the webs and retrieve his friend, which meant that he was dependent on finding smaller allies. And with all of this information came a warning. There were much larger threats before them that could be avoided if they make the right choices. "We will take your words to heart, my friend. And rest assured that we will bring your friend back safely." Though Frederick had absolutely no idea what a pikpek or dewpider was, he was sure that they could be handled like any other pokemon. From the sounds of it this dewpider was a spider, so at least he knew what he was getting in to. With one final respectful nod to Oranguru Frederick would start toward the newly revealed path, waiting at it's entrance to ensure that everyone was follow. "Let's not waste time. It'd be a shame if we were too late."With Curry illuminating the darkened path once again, which would quickly lead them to the border of the shadowy web filled area. Frederick would linger near the entrance, doing his best to see inside the dark area without stepping in just yet. There was no telling how many of these spiders were over there, so he was hesitant to have Curry stick his flaming tail into the entrance to provide illumination. For now it was best to keep any unusual light away to keep from drawing too much attention. Brows rose slightly as noelani palm seemed to suddenly take the initiative, peering into the lair with a look of innocent curiosity. It seemed that she didn't fear the predators that lurked within the darkness. Frederick's head tilted slightly to one side as the young researcher seemed to take a genuine interest in not the pikpek, but the dewpider guarding it's meal. The man let out a thoughtful hum as she presented a possibility, a peaceful solution to their grim problem. "You suggest a trade?"It seemed that Palm was much more familiar with the pokemon involved in this situation than himself. Unfortunately Frederick only had a passing familiarity with pokemon that weren't native to the region, so he wasn't about to assume that just because they were carnivores they would be unreasonable savages. There was much more nutrition to be found in the egg of a chansey than some tiny bird, so why would it not accept such a trade? Lips curled into an amused smile as he nodded to the green haired woman, seemingly impressed by this plan. "I like it. We shouldn't punish the dewpider for doing what comes naturally to it. It is simply it's nature to consume in order to survive, as it is ours." He would turn his attention to the rest of the group, brows raising as he curiously anticipated their thoughts on the matter. "I'm willing to wager Chansey will be able to communicate with it and convey the offer. If we go through with this I think it would be wise to keep any threatening pokemon out of sight so that our spidery friend doesn't get nervous. Are we all in agreement?"TLDR
- Quietly relieved that Oranguru seems to be genuinely pleased by their offer and doesn't seem interested in taking advantage of them.
- Listened carefully to Oranguru's words, noting the seriousness of the matter at hand.
- Had Curry continue to light the path as they approached the dewpider's clair.
- Tried to get a better look at the area while keeping Curry's light away to prevent disturbing any of the dormant pokemon
- Is surprised at noelani palm 's plan
- Expresses approval of the plan to exchange the egg
- Turns to the group to see if anyone has any protest
- Suggests that any intimidating pokemon be kept out of sight to ensure the dewpider doesn't get too intimidated
779 WORDS @event A peaceful solution? THANK YOU MALIA TATE FROM ADOXOGRAPHY

♦♦♦♦ ♦♦♦♦ Mirai was a bit surprised by being suddenly approached by the needy Absol. Floatzel stared at Absol for a moment and decided he meant no harm. Having a fondness for furry Pokemon, Mirai herself could resist giving the Disaster Pokemon a gentle caress. It actually improved her mood for a bit as a change of pace from all the seriousness.
After the group came into an agreement, the Oranguru proceeded to tell them what they needed to do. It sounded like a rescue mission. A Pikipek was in trouble and they needed to retrieve her from the clutches of some Dewpider who were probably going to have her for dinner. With an experienced ranger on board, she figured it wouldn't be too hard to come up with the best approach to go about the task. As they approached the Dewpider lair in question however, the first one to share their idea was Noelani who proposed peaceful negotiations. Even Frederick agreed. Peaceful negotiations did serve them well when they spoke with Oranguru.
Mirai was about to nod in agreement when she recalled Oranguru's exact words. He spoke of a great threat and needing to leave immediately once they had secured Pikipek. She didn't want to think he was lying about the danger and so the skeptic in her wondered if a simple trade would go well so easily in this case. After all Pikipek came in here and was captured without question. If the Dewpider was that easy to bargain with, then the bird wouldn't be needing their help in the first place. Oranguru proved to be capable of reason before giving them a choice. These Dewpider had yet to demonstrate the same or give them any reason to believe they were willing to talk about it.
"It's a very kind proposal. I just hope they don't think of Chansey as dinner too."
It was still all speculation and she didn't want to unnecessarily stir debate in the group. So for now it would suffice to bring to attention the possibility of the Water Bubble Pokemon to not be open to negotiations and possibly treat Chansey as just another unfortunate prey walking into their nest. She would leave it to the others to come up with a back-up plan for when things don't go as they hope.
She didn't think Floatzel counted as a threatening-looking Pokemon so she kept her by her side. It was her own safety precaution as well in case something did attack them.
tl;dr - Gave Absol his head pats. Listened to Oranguru and followed the group to the lair. Agreed to the idea of a trade but mentioned that they might not be open to it. Hoping someone has a back-up plan just in case.

[attr="class","joy2"] [attr="class","joy1"] [attr="class","joyless"]An arm crossed over the woman's abdomen, the other arm supported upon it as a hand rested at the woman's chin. Auburn hued eyes watched with a light calculation as the Oranguru began to speak towards the group. Her mind rested on the words, taking them piece by piece and fitting them together like puzzle pieces. The larger image slowly forming before her, yet major pieces of the picture still remained missing. Eyes wandering towards the pointing of the blue fan, watching as the trees bent and twisted out of view to make a show of the cavern entrance. Black brows slowly morphed together with heavy thought apparent on her expression, while she had made previous attempts to show initiative, this time she remained silent as the others began to speak about the matter. At the mention of 'Chansey' supplying her eggs, Joy's own Chansey instantly puffed up her cheeks and defensively placed her hands over her egg. A gentle hand placing itself on the pink Pokemon's head in reassurance that she wasn't being spoken about. Lowering her gaze towards Chansey, Joy gave a small smile of comfort. Her mind once more wandering at the situation presented before them. She found it very odd that a pikipek was captured by a dewpider, but she supposed that it was a multitude that accomplished the feat. Her own pale feet began to slowly walk off in the direction of the Dewpider cavern, allowing the chatter to become enough of a distraction of her leaving. Chansey trailed behind her trainer silently with her little pink arms still holding tenderly to her egg, face still screwed into a sour expression. Allowing her fingers to cascade along the side of the trees as she made her way down the twisted path until she appeared just before the swirling pools of water. Auburn hued eyes settling on the entrance that contained a lone sentry, pausing for a moment she folded her legs beneath her and sat on the ground. An arm settling around the Chansey to pull her down to sit as well, Splendid poking from atop her shoulder to watch the Dewpider with excitement. kept silent and wandered off near to the cavern. sat down with chansey and splendid. waiting.

She had waited long enough for arguments, Mirai Soleil 's sentiment of caution mirrored easily by her own concern for the pokémon. Her eyes turned to settle on Chansey as her hand dropped to rest the tips of its fingers against her crown, lips resting gently in a line.[break][break] ❝ Soft boiled, ❞ she called lightly, the nurse pokémon's expression lighting up as she whipped her face quickly to beam up toward her master, happy to be of help.[break][break] The pokémon's attention dropped to the egg in her pouch, the pale pocket of skin heating to burn a scorching red as she baked the egg in her care, steam rising from its surface.[break][break] Chanchan used Soft Boiled! [break] By the time she looked up her trainer had already wandered off, her little mouth dropping a short ways open in bewilderment as she turned her head left and right before spotting the young woman a short ways off. Pulling the egg from her pouch she waddled after Noelani, holding the item up in front of herself for retrieval.[break][break] The soon-to-be professor's distraction proved to be well in line with her intentions, fingers working to gingerly pluck select bits of vegetation. Bright, cheerful colored flowers, colorful lengths of vine, vibrant green fronds of tropical ferns and choice, shapely leaves taken carefully in the hem of her shirt to ensure she wouldn't harm her skin with any unfamiliar spores. While she was familiar enough with the environment thanks to her youth on an island paradise, she supposed it wouldn't hurt to display a sense of caution.[break][break] Noelani got tropical vegetation! [break] She laid the items out on the ground before getting to work, building a decorative nest for the egg before carefully accepting it from her partner. She set the egg down in the colorful bowl with care, taking a few of the extra lengths of vine and tropical flowers to work a friendly bow at the hearty lunch's center. Noelani leaned back a short way once she'd finished, checking over her efforts to ensure she'd made it a suitable offering.[break][break] Noelani used tropical vegetation![break] Noelani got ritual offering! [break] Rising carefully to her feet she took the basket into her arms, careful to guard her skin with the thin fabric of her shirt. The fact that she'd exposed the pink bottoms of her underwear to the crowd didn't seem to cross her mind.[break][break] ❝ I'll be careful, ❞ she assured, Chanchan following obediently after her. Noelani stepped into the shadows without fanfare, showing no second thoughts in her decision as her form vanished into the darkness, Chanchan's body soon to follow as both took care not to wander far enough to disturb the webs. She reappeared to stand in the beam of light nearest the entrance, gift ready and waiting in her arms as she kept herself near to the exit, eyes rest peacefully on the protective young Dewpider ahead.[break][break] She knelt slowly to the ground, head bowed in reverence, lashes falling to close over her eyes as she bowed forward. It was not her home, and she would show the nest and the family it housed her profound respect.[break][break] The flower-dressed egg was laid a short ways ahead of her as an offering, fingers slipping carefully from under its weight to let it rest against the ground before her palms found their way together in a sort of prayer, hands knocking twice, gentle, over the space of her heart. It was a gesture of family, heart, and concern, one that she hoped would be understood by the cautious arachnid ahead.[break][break] Her clasped hands reached out ahead of her, head still bowed, to present themselves toward Dewpider, opening slowly as if revealing a gift.[break][break] Noelani used ritual offering! [break] Her head lifted as the gesture complete itself, brows knit gently over her eyes as she settled a solemn gaze on the cautious guard, lips set gently in a frown. Her head canted itself as her gaze slid beyond the pokémon, coming to rest on the fearful Pikpek still trapped against its web with concern.[break][break] Chanchan bowed her head at her trainer's side, arms rest meekly over the empty space of her pouch.[break][break] Noelani's hand withdrew from its posture in gesture to the baby bird, hopeful of conveying her wishes.[break][break] Chanchan used Soft Boiled![break][break] Noelani used Soft Boiled Egg and Tropical Vegetation to make Ritual Offering![break][break] Noelani and Chanchan entered Dewpider's lair![break] They were careful not to disturb the nest![break][break] Noelani and Chanchan showed reverence![break][break] Noelani and Chanchan offered Ritual Offering TO DEWPIDER for Pikpek! | DO YOU REMEMBER? LOOK AT ME AND ALL THE THINGS WE SAID WE'D BE. WE BEAT THE HOUNDS, WE PUSHED THE ODDS. WE'D TAKE IT ALL - WE HAD THE CAUSE. WITH YEARS TO BURN AND YEARS TO TRASH, LIVIN' LIFE BASED ON FLASH. BUT SOMEHOW REACHING FOR THE STARS, I THINK WE WENT A BIT TOO FAR.
Trusting an Oranguru that spoke to directly was one thing, trusting a cave full of spiders that couldn't communicate with you, or at least with not nearly the same level of skill was another thing entirely, and so while Palm went about her plan moving alone for the most part Azad wouldn't move with her remaining silent, eyes flickering to the treetops where scizor lied in wait red eyes ready to bust in and deal with any possible threats that came from the planned, bu reckless move.
He says nothing arms crossed watching as the woman would spice up the offering for the trade. Chansey eggs never went bad and they grew back so quickly Azad couldn't help but want to try one himself seeing how the only thing they'd had were that assortment of berries earlier, and even then they hadn't had a lot. He'd glance at the group's second chansey and the beautiful woman who owned it quickly realizing the idea of eating a chansey egg was little more than a pipe dream at this point.
" I don't know about this. I'm uneasy." He'd mention aloud to no one in particular as if that would change something.

[nospaces] [attr="class","Vgentempbox"] [attr="class","Vgentemptitle"]The Impertinent [attr="class","Vgentempdiv"] [attr="class","Vgentempheader"]event 002. Beginning [break][break] What a unique idea. [break][break] You choose not to fight nor to steal - but, instead, to bargain and try to understand the inhabitants of this odd island. With immense courage and mind ripe with prior knowledge, noelani palm steps up to face the guarding Dewpider and the terrified Pikipek. From the closeness, you can see the tiny bird wrapped up in thick spider web, trembling, but, unable to escape. Gruesomly, the fact that it was nearly wrapped from head to toe in web could only mean that it was going to be eaten soon. The water/bug type tenses at your sudden arrival, the water bubble of its head rippling with alarm as it skitters towards you - likely ready to sound an alarm at the sight of an intruder. [break][break] However, the water spider's attention is divided as its instead rolled something delicious and beautifully dressed. Watery head tilting to the side, the Dewpider cautiously approaches, prodding the egg once - then twice. The Dewpider seems interested, but, immensely nervous, as it stares from the woman and to the bird several times.Thankfully, noelani palm 's calmness of the situation and lack of a threatening approach helps in gaining the Dewpider's trust. Surprisingly, it skitters over to the Pikipek, carefully beginning to untie the baby bird. You can feel many eyes resting on you as soon as the Dewpider begins to touch the webs. Despite this, none of the many other Dewpider's attack. [break][break] Unwrapped, you can see that the Pikipek is injured - but, alive. Carefully held in the arms of the bug/water type, it skitters on over to Noelani, handing her the Pikipek before backing off in favor of taking the egg. Though the situation is tense, all seems to be going well....However, for one reason or another though, the tiny bird still seems terrified. Something is wrong. [break][break] It's uncertain what's wrong with the frantic little bird, who loudly calls out and struggles in the woman's grasp, making quite the fuss. What exactly had the Pikipek all riled up is realized only when its too late. [break][break] Your plan has been out planned. It's a trap.[break][break] A string of web shot forward from the Dewpider, binding the woman up in its surprisingly strong, stickiness, making it very hard to move. Hidden by the darkness of the lair, an enormous, long-legged figure drops from the ceiling - an araquanid, likely the leader {if not the mother} of the colony of dewpiders. In one fluid motion, it rammed its head forward, submerging noelani palm and the Pikipek in its bubble of water. If Noelani is not saved by the next mod post, she risks serious injury. The same goes for the Pikipek. If it is not rescued next mod post, it will die. A burst of intense water ejects itself from the massive spider's jaws - Liquidation - enhanced by its potent ability. It squarely hits Noelani's Chansey, sending the poor, peaceful pokemon flying. [break][break] Several Dewpider's appear as well, some flanking the much larger Araquanid, hungrily begging for pieces of their captured prey, whilst others warily glower at the intruders by the entrance of the cavern - prepared to attack. Oddly enough, the Dewpider who accepted the egg offering backs off, seeming almost guilty. It backs away, still clutching on to the softboiled egg, opting to watch. [break][break] The cavern is still filled with spiderwebs - which can easily trap someone should they recklessly run through. It's large enough for larger pokemon to battle with carefulness - however, remember your allies. [break][break] Unique plan or not, these carnivorous pokemon are hungry. Why trade the Pikipek for an egg when they could have both?

- Unfortunately, noelani palm 's Chansey takes 30% damage from Araquaid's Liquidation attack.
- For the sake of numbers, there are 15 Dewpiders and only 1 Araquanid. The Dewpiders are able to be caught. However, the Araquanid is not. Once caught, the Dewpider will be the level of the lowest pokemon in your current party, for the sake of battling though, they'll have a set level.
- Noelani is trapped and suspended in Araquanid's water bubble.

Noelani's schemes were oft far too complex for any mere mortal to understand, even more she rarely waited for the approval or a discussion simply moving to do what she thought was best, and something about that poetic notion garnered respect from Azad, admiration even. However, moving unaware... no Azad didn't believe she was unaware or blissfully ignorant, no he believed the girl wise, soft spoken perhaps but wise. It was that wisdom that kept Azad silent when she began he plan dressing up the egg. It was that wisdom that kept the man Silent when she offered to make the trade. But there was only so much the silver-haired scientist would allow, and so when she moves deeper into the cave Azad doesn't hesitate. "Swords Dance." And in the trees the man could hear the grinding of blade growing sharper.
"Damn it." The once calm boy swore nervously as tens of eyes lit up inside the cave. There was tension as the trade was made the pokemon seemingly having accepted the offer, perhaps his worry was for naught. Of course that was far too good to be true. With a slam against the cavern floor the boss bug would appear immediately capturing the now two hostages in her bubble. "Frederick I'm taking point You're running support, three hostages." Azad honed in on the situation. The mild-mannered and even tempered professor was gone. The man who stood in his place was a leader of LORE, and now everyone would see why. "Nero you're in! Cut through the webs. Distract the Leader!" A red blur would fly in from the trees almost like a ninja it's claws making short work of the webs and even a dewpider or two that attempted to intercept the attack it's enlarged blades striking more than one or two of the enemies aiming for a decisive strike. With the Scizor flying deep into the lair Azad would drop a pokeball revealing his Kreiss once more. "You're on standby prepare for an evac."
His eyes close for a moment his focus unfaltering. A glance at Frederick as he began to perform....a dance? Azad was milliseconds away from questioning the co-leader only to notice the bracelet on his wrist glow brighter. Whatever was coming it'd be from Tiny and so without a doubt it'd be strong. He'd use the preparation time to speak to the group. "We're caving in the cave. This isn't a debate. If you have pokemon that can help cause a cave in then now's the time. If you don't then stay out of the way that's an order!"
He'd only halfway turn to the group. If any disobeyed he'd deal with them later. There wasn't enough time for a debate as well as they all could. No Azad would deal with the situation and keep everyone safe. Azad had a duty to protect each and every life on this trip because that was his job not only as a leader of LORE, but as someone with the power to save another, and nobody would get in the way of that, human or pokemon alike.
Eyes focused on Scizor who the smaller spiders were beginning to surround. He trusted Frederick to save two of the three hostages and NURSE JOY had moved fast saving Chansey all the was left was to deal with the cave itself. "Kreiss Prepare your hyper beam. Nero retreat give it everything with Superpower! With his job The blade pokemon's body would gain a piercing red aura for any dewpiders trapped in the swamp and in the line of fire it'd be extremely bad for them The scizor with all of it's strength would expand its wings and like a rocket, the pokemon would use its energy to blast through the cave with extreme strength its body slamming into any bugs and rocks that dared to impede his path until hopefully the steel type was out of the cave. All the while Azad would move to joy and chanchan. "You've done good Joy, let's get you back doctor." And for once he's looking directly at the woman. His gaze only filled with admiration for the doctor that'd helped with the rescue.
Kreiss would hesitate with the hyper beam as Nero began his his charge. Azad would call back to the dragon."The second the hostages are safe begin." Azad believed not only in his pokemon but Frederick's and if Nero didn't make it out the Azad would grab the steel type himself. That said, due to the nature of the attack it was more than likely Nero was bringing a dewpider or two with him in his grand charge. Whether or not that was a good thing however remained to be seen.
Azad orders Swords Dance as noelani palm travels deeper into the cave (Scizor +2 attack) Azad tells Frederick Ferdinand he's taking point and to save palm and the pikipek Scizor dives into the cave as the enemy reveals their intentions Scizor Cuts through spider webs and attempts to cut through dewpiders directly in his way if any. Azad calls out Kreiss and places him on Standby Azad creates a plan and orders everyone to follow or get out of the way. The plan being to attack the caves opening causing a cave in Scizor attempts to strike Araquid primarily as a distraction for Frederick Scizor with the hostages at least somewhat taken care of prepares his superpower retreat through the muck. Kreiss prepares to uses Hyperbeam at the mouth of the cave once noelani palm is pulled out. Azad thanks NURSE JOY and actually looks her in the eye suggesting the group moves back. Scizor uses super power and attempts to blast through stones and dewpiders hopefully dragging a few of the critters outside of the cavern. Azad inches toward the cave himself prepared to deal with the bullshit to get his Scizor back. No one gets left behind.

The ranger watched with great interest as noelani palm prepared her offering, golden eyes watching closely as she gathered up the local vegetation and prepared an offering. The arrangement was charming in it's simplicity, yet clearly conveyed the fact that this item was meant to be a gift. He only hoped that the pikpek's captor would be agreeable to the terms put forward. It seemed Mirai Soleil had the same thought, Frederick moving to offer the girl a reassuring smile and a simple nod. "Don't worry too much. The best we can do is prepare for the worst and hope for the best." So long as they didn't actually set foot in the cave there really wasn't too much risk as far as he could tell. Just sit the offering down at the mouth, beckon the dewpider and... Where was palm going? She actually intended to enter the cave? Frederick's smile vanished, brows furrowing as a hand slipping into his pocket. A hand clutched the pokeball containing his single dormant pokemon, his teeth clenching as he resisted the urge to call out after the professor. Raising his voice at all was sure to draw the attention of any other creatures that were residing within the cavern. At this point he could only do as he just said, hope and prepare. "Everyone ready your pokemon in case this goes south." He watched carefully, eyes straining to make out the shapes within the cavern lit only be glowing moss and shafts of light. From what he could tell everything was going fine, until she showed up. His eyes suddenly went wide as everything suddenly took a turn for the worse, the movements of the creatures within revealing over a dozen little spiders and a single massive arachnid that had taken noelani palm into the bubble surrounding it's head. The ranger acted quickly, pulling the ball from his pocket and releasing the Yanmega within. Azad 's scizor had already been sent in, using it's speed and sharp claws to slice through the webs and create quite the distraction. "No one else go in yet!" Golden eyes would dart to his comrade as he took control over the situation. If there wasn't a woman's life on the line at the moment the sight would have brought a smile to his face. "Agreed and understood." As the ranger spoke he would spread his legs into a wide stance, fingers flexing as he moved to...strike a pose? Arms crossed at the wrist, the purple gem within the bracelet suddenly flashing a bright light of the same color. With the flash signifying the start of the process Frederick would close his eyes, allowing his body to recall the movements from the dream that was still all too vivid in his mind. His right arm rose to be level with his eyes while the other was brought over his chest, wrists relaxed and allowing his hands to dangle. Then in one fluid motion the dark skinned ranger would step forward with his left foot while leaning forward. His arms would then spread apart, his fingers tightening even further as his hands continued to hang loosely from the ends of his arms. "Acidic Downpour!"As Frederick called out at the top of his lungs, energy would burst out from the gem housed within his bracelet and travel into Tiny's body. Once it entered the nidoking's body it would glow bright yellow, only for the energy to build and concentrate on the poisonous pokemon's right fist. There was a brief instant where Tiny stared at his fist in wonder, nearly overwhelmed by the sheer strength that he felt coursing through his body. He had never felt anything like it. It was amazing. He wanted to hold on to it, try to bring it within himself and use it to push his limits beyond. "Go! Turn that cave into a toxic swamp!" His trainer's words managed to banish the selfish thoughts, the horned pokemon glancing at his trainer before letting out a mighty roar. The toxic fist would be plunged into the ground before the pokemon would release his toxic downpourDespite the name, there would be nothing from above. By releasing the attack underground, Tiny was able to force it all to rise from the surface where he pleased utilizing his affinity with the ground. Within moments the cave's floor would turn into thick swamplands that pulled everything it touched down into itself. Even the lower parts of the cavern's walls would start to ooze the poisonous liquid. The small dewpiders were threatened to be completely absorbed by the marshy terrain and the thick oozing fluids, while the much larger spider would feel it pulling at his legs and causing him to sink into the ground. At the same time the highly toxic material would bubble up, causing serious poison damage to anything it touched. Scizor however would be completely immune to the effects, the swamp unable to grip his smooth metal body that also protected him from the poisonous effects. With that done he would turn to Race, barking out the next order without hesitation. "Use Psychic to pull Palm and the pikpek from the bubble!" Race nodded quickly darting to the entrance of the cave and focusing his psychic powers on noelani palm and the pokemon trapped with her. The two of them were small and rather light, so he wouldn't have any problem lifting the pair of them with his mind alone. He only hoped that the araquanid was distracted enough by the intruder and the attack that threatened their children that they would be able to snatch the two without retaliation. Palm and the small bird would feel themselves being encased in psychic energies, which would suddenly start to exert force on them. The two would be forcefully yanked from the large spider's bubble, allowing them to both at the very least catch a breath of air. "As soon as they are out we need to cave this place in!" The only way they were going to be able to defeat this many pokemon was if they used the environment to their advantage. A cave in would hopefully be enough to crush the bug types and keep the group from having to engage in a direct confrontation. TLDR
- Watched curiously as noelani palm assembled the ritual offering.
- Assured Mirai Soleil that while he hoped things would go fine they should prepare for the worst case scenario.
- Is shocked to see noelani palm entered the cave, as he assumed she would be beckoning the dewpider to the entrance.
- Tells everyone not to enter the cavern, save for Azad whose scizor had already dove in.
- Immediately calls out Race (Yanmega) upon seeing the ambush.
- Agreed with Azad 's plan to focus on providing support
- Activates his Z-Move, allowing Tiny (Nidoking) to use Acidic Downpour
- Tiny puts his fist into the ground, directing the acidic downpour undergound and using his affinity with both poison and earth to direct it into the cave.
- The cave's floor turns into swampland that pulls down anything in the area not immune to poison, while the lower parts of the cave wall start oozing thick poisonous fluid.
- Has Race used Psychic to pull noelani palm and Pikpek from the Araquanid's bubble, freeing them. They are not yet safe, but are at least out of the bubble.
- Tells everyone that as soon as their people are safe to start caving the lair in to crush the spiders.

[attr="class","joy2"] [attr="class","joy1"] [attr="class","joyless"]Auburn hued eyes blinked in a slow and tired manner, quietly watching as noelani palm appeared with her prepared offering. Pale fingers lightly rubbed at the top of the Chansey's head, leaning more heavily on the Pokemon. There was nothing for her to really do, and so she waited. Watching as the others finally made their way near to the cavern to watch the Professor at work. There's was almost a serene and gracefulness to the woman's movement as she did her best to convey her feelings towards the Dewpider. As it skittered off into the darkness, the Pokemon Nurse bit her bottom lip in silent anticipation before finally it reappeared within her sight with the Pikipek in hand. Her brows furrowed together as the exchange was made, the small Dewpider backing away before spitting out webs to bind Noelani. Spindly, large legs appearing to meet with the ground, revealing an Araquanid. Her mouth shot open in a quiet gasp as she saw Noelani and the Pikipek get swallowed up in its head bubble, rising slightly from her spot to sit up on her knees. An arm still placed on the Chansey in a protective manner, her eyes darting towards Chanchan as it was hit by the Araguanid's liquidation. Quickly getting onto her feet, she sprung into action as she leaped towards the other Chansey. Quickly doing her best to catch her before she met an unfortunate hit with the ground. The heaviness of the Chasnsey made her body slightly buckle, but she began pulling the slightly wounded ChanChan back with her grumpy Chansey, her eyes met with Frederick's form as he began to move his body in a dance. A dance that must have been in his dream as it had been in her own. Once having dragged Chanchan far enough away from the cavern to not worry about any problems coming from that way, she took the time to check the Pokemon's injuries to make sure that they weren't anything severe. Chansey wobbled over towards her sister, her usual sour expression having morphed into a concerned one. Little pink hands reaching to place themselves gently on ChanChan's belly. "Chansey....""Keep an eye on ChanChan, Chansey. I need to do something about Pikipek. Splendid!" she rose to her feet, looking lightly to her shoulder at the excited and determined Eevee. Taking a few steps forward, she took a moment to sweep the area to see what had happened in the span of her inspection of ChanChan. Frederick had already used his special move, completely covering the cavern floor in poison. Her eyes finally settled on Noelani and Pikipek floating in the water bubble still, extending her arm out towards them. "Wish!" she exclaimed, Splendid instantly perked up and run along her arm to stand there. The area around him began to grow dark, the twinkling of stars appear before a shooting star whizzed right past. His little eyes looking up with a happy, and cheerful demeanor, wishing on a star for Pikipek's health to recover! Once he had completed the action, he jumped from her arm to flip and land on the ground before her. He wasn't strong like the other Pokemon, but he would fight for Joy all the same! A hand reached to her chest as she heard Frederick's words. "Wait! You're going to cave it in!?" she questioned in sincere concern in her voice. She-.....she knew exactly what he was trying to do, but she still felt bad for the Pokemon. Her expression turned downcast for a moment before pulling her eyes back up towards the cave, eyes settling on a certain Dewpider who stilled held onto the softboiled egg. It didn't seem right, but she wouldn't raise any more objections. The world was always unfair like that. Meanwhile Chansey was stuffing a softboiled egg of her own into ChanChan's face, carefully patting her big body and giving encouraging words. Along with what might have seemed like cusswords, if Pokemon could cuss. She gave a look over her shoulder to cast a meany, ugly look at Araquanid. She'd kill her if she had the chansey. caught chanchan, has chansey on recovery mode splendid used wish on pikipek

♦♦♦♦ ♦♦♦♦ It seemed Mirai's apprehensions were not unfounded. Like what you would expect from a Pokemon that uses webs to trap their prey, the residents of the cave weren't going to let the opportunity pass of new prey willingly waltzing into their lair. An Araquanid far larger than normal would appear as the ringleader of the Water Bubble Pokemon and would orchestrate the capture of their comrade Noelani who entered the cave with good intentions as well as attacking her Pokemon. The situation was looking dire.
Realizing the failure of Noelani's attempt, the adults were quick to spring into action. Luckily they were sensible enough to not pin all their hopes on a peaceful resolution and responded immediately to assist their friend. At great personal risk, Scizor entered the cave to draw the attention of the wild Pokemon. Meanwhile, Nidoking proceeded to fill the cave with poison to trap and weaken them. It was almost scary how efficient this was being executed and how fast they went on a 180 from respecting the Pokemon's natural behaviors to just being outright ruthless when the same Pokemon decided to spring the trap on their peace offering. Mirai wondered if she could ever switch her mentality that fast without holding lingering feelings for the Pokemon just acting on their instincts. What's worse was that after Noelani, her Chansey, and the Pikipek were safely extracted, the next instruction was to cause a cave in on the poor Pokemon. Weren't they being unnecessarily cruel? At the very least the Dewpider who actually accepted the trade didn't deserve it.
Mirai wanted to help out, but she was not going to have a hand in caving in the Pokemon's lair when they've already secured their friends and the Pikipek.
"I don't think we need to go that far... We only need to stop them from following right? Floatzel-kun, use Whirlpool to catch them and push them back!"
If they were dead set on causing a cave in at the entrance, then Mirai would at least ensure none of the Pokemon got crushed. Floatzel would generate a huge Whirlpool once all of their other allies had safely made it out. Any Pokemon attempting to follow them out would be caught and trapped by the large spiraling torrent of water that would carry them back deep into their lair. Of course that would only be true for the Dewpiders. If Araquanid had enough strength to force its way through Floatzel's Whirlpool then that was out of her hands. Her objective was just to set them back anyway. After securing their teammates and Pikipek, they really ought to get out of there already and head back to where Oranguru was. She would ready herself to run once everyone else was ready to go too.
tl;dr - Once their teammates were safely out, Mirai has Floatzel use Whirlpool to try to intercept and trap any pursuing Pokemon and carry them back deep into the cave. Mirai hopes this would be enough to give them a head start running away or if they proceed with caving in the entrance, this would push the Dewpiders away from the falling rocks and keep them from getting crushed.
