[googlefont=Fira+Sans|Playfair+Display] [attr="class","firedand1"] MY DEAR, WE'RE --  selflessness is a rare trait that's hard to come across. ava's thankful that she's managed to find someone as selfless as jenna is, because she would've died in that mountain otherwise. it's that selflessness and intuition that has kept her alive, and she'll be eternally grateful for it. she might even be a happier person in general, but that's hoping for a bit too much.
at the mention of the possibility of reinforcements, ava cracks a smile. "broken ribs, arms maybe. just fucked up, really." a joke causes her to laugh, surging pain through her body with every chuckle. but she powers through it because she wants to. she hasn't felt this relieved in a while; or is it happiness? who knows.
another laugh's caused by prick and his finger shenanigans. "i like him." she makes a comment before the topic of conversation is switched, brought back over to her. she glances back over her shoulder to see lugh slowly trailing behind; too slow, and yet, somehow, he's managing to keep up.
"not really."
her comment sours the mood for only a second because she's reminded of the times where lugh was still a cacnea; simple, peaceful, innocent. how times have changed. she shakes her head, snapping herself out of her spiraling train of thought. "change can't be forced. it shouldn't be. but he had to change to save my life." that thought brings a soft smile to her face.
"i'm sure he's still in there somewhere. i just have to look past those creepy eyes of his."
they're interrupted when two adorable bonsly approach them. ava stops in her tracks and subsequently causes jenna to stop, too. "cute things." but, she doesn't want one. they aren't hostile in any sort of form, so she lowers her guard.

Jenna said to reassure Ava, glancing away from the dark outline of Lugh as he followed behind them. "And then, you can get someone to fix all the fucked-up-itis." Their conversation was interrupted.[break][break] It was two Bonsly.[break][break] Jenna kept herself synced with Ava's speed. When the woman came to a halt, so did she. The sounds of approaching pokemon made her anxious, but those fears were soon put to rest. The Ranger had to squint, making out the shape of the two small rock-types as they wandered through the cave. When they did see the group, they made a hesitant approach but seemed to hold no ill will. Ava was right. They were cute. After all the aggressive wild pokemon they encountered, it was nice to come across something so... approachable.[break][break] “Guess they were curious.” The two saplings tilted their heads in unison. Maybe it'd be best to leave them alone?[break][break] One was larger than the other. It bumped past its companion, huffing up its chest at the sight of Prick. “...That...is not a wise idea.” The Nidoking glanced down at the tiny creature–newly formed hands folding the other as he cracked his knuckles–as his teeth gleamed when he gave a menacing smile. “Prick. Prick, no. You'd punt that poor thing to Kanto. Forget it.” They couldn't waste their time like this–[break][break] That was when she heard her Nidoking wheeze. A resounding smack echoed through the cavern with enough force to make Jenna wince. The small Bonsly had leaped from the ground and kicked her Poison-Type straight in the gut. The Ranger was stunned at the noise he made–a tiny kick had been that strong? Thankfully, Prick was quick to recover and retaliate with a kick of his own. Except he used the first kick to launch the Bonsly up from the ground and the second to knock it into one of the nearby tunnels.[break][break] It was unconscious. Jenna had caught sight of its swirling eyes before it descended into the darkness.[break][break] Jenna gave a long sigh, her free hand raised to pinch her brow. The other Bonsly seemed equally embarrassed. Prick, on the other hand, did not seem happy with his victory as he rubbed his sore stomach. “...Pokemon are just full of surprises, aren't they?” She shook her head. “Let's keep moving.
