First I should make myself clear in that I prefer the power fantasy. Every class should be able to have something unique that plays on the class' function in the canon, while also translating well into the roleplay, and ultimately allowing them to bypass parts of the "systems" that clash with their class thematic. For that reason some of these will come off broken, or maybe a tad too forced or even contrived. As I am not one to have the experience of knowing what was too strong, or what wasn't, I can only propose what I think helps give everyone a solid economical and class-defining base to thrive off of at all levels, beginner or veteran, etc. A few points to make before I begin so you know what to expect: - Those of you who favor downsizing over supplementing the alleged 'weaker/downtrodden' classes probably won't appreciate this; that is just a matter of differing ideology, not our ultimate desires. - Those of you who are hoping to grant everyone powerful abilities, you may like this. - Those of you hoping to eliminate the need for regulation are going to likely hate this, which is fair. - This is NOT a perfect, or even polished proposition. But I think it can become one. Maybe.
TRAINER -Class Trait: Losing a trainer battle salvages levels lost (fainting still nets your pokemon +2 levels). Economic Perk: Defeating a Gym Leader/Champion or capturing never caught before pokemon yields a hefty bonus (if sponsored by a Professor, even moreso). BREEDER -Class Trait: May incubate up to two (2) eggs at the same time, but no more. Economic Perk: Enabled breeding without having to pay for any Daycare services rendered. Optional alternatives ~OR~ additional Class Traits include: - [*Breeders can opt to pay the Daycare Service fee to breed a rare once a month, but still no primary dragons/psuedos.] - [*Breeders sponsored by a Professor can breed the Professor's PC pokemon without a formal trade request.] Side note: - [*Daycare services to non-Breeders will cost approximately 1k or 750 of the current currency; about a fifth/sixth of what a Safari costs.] RANGER -Class Trait: Can use their Capture Styler to at least render rampaging pokemon docile and even turn complacent pokemon into temporary benefactors. Has legal authority to arrest/detain other players if they have sufficient grounds, and put out bounties and warrants respectively. Economic Perk: Reduced cost on Evolution Stones and a much higher chance of finding more and better berries. - [*A warrant grants Rangers authority to enter threads with exclusive tags.] - [*A bounty is a reward a Ranger gives to another player for fulfilling the bounty; alternatively, think of it like deputizing.] PROFESSOR -Class Trait: Professors are able to sponsor Coordinators, Fighters or Trainers collectively. And not just with money, but also by linking their PC pokemon with any Breeders they've sponsored, allowing breeding without requiring a formal trading request. Granted a monthly allowance for sponsors, but cannot exceed 250~500 as a reward for any single given instance. The Professor cannot use this money, nor is the monthly allowance additive; the alotted sum refreshes to the maximum at the start of every month and can go no higher. Economic Perk: Reduced costs on Technical Machines and a hefty bonus for capturing pokemon never caught before. - [Maintains VIP status that allows them to enter exclusive threads if their sponsoree is in said thread (with some exceptions).] - [Not a solid suggestion so much, but playing on the idea every Professor has a niche would be nice: Evolution, Discovery, Pokemon Moves, Abilities, etc. This specialization would thus play into what kind of person they're going to choose to sponsor. The idea here is to emulate a Professor's influence on the player during a game by providing Aides along the routes, but to contain it all within the scope of one character and translate into an rp setting.] FISHERMAN -Class Trait: Capture rarest Water/Fish-type pokemon (with a reduced word limit for non-battle captures) based on rod quality; May encounter Water/Fish-types en masse using a fish net once per thread (will also NOT require a battle or exaggerated word count to capture). Economic Perk: May exchange or "convert" Water/Fish-type pokemon into a fixed amount of currency based on rarity (people gotta eat, yo). MEDIUM -Class Trait: Telepathic with mild telekinesis and lesser precognitive/anticipation/("investigative*") abilities. Economic Perk: Reduced cost on Held Items and a higher chance of finding higher end items. FIGHTER -Class Trait: Enhanced physical conditioning that emphasizes defensive aspect over strength and speed in that order. Economic Perk: Reduced costs on Held Items and a modifier for winning in trainer battles and random donations from any "sponsors". COORDINATOR -Class Trait: Coordinators can exchange or "cook" a handful of quality Berries for Pokeblocks that act as impromptu Rare Candies, which require the pokemon to win a battle to successfully earn the level(s), thus no more than one PokeBlock can be used per encounter, per pokemon. Economic Perk: Unique Class Events/Quests. Awards from their "sponsor" based on their performance and celebrity status. [Note that coordinator's class trait heavily hits a gray area and could be considered economic, but then so could Trainers', etc; so with that in mind I made their Economic Perk very minimalistic. It's also minimalistic because I don't even remember what they used to do, ripperoni.] VIRUS -Class Trait: Can deploy a Virus Ball to capture/occupy an NPC's or a wild pokemon. Can start with any pokemon as it was likely "stolen". Can adopt a single Class Trait from any other class, but does not maintain any Economic Perks. Economic Perk: Can "steal" an item from any store system once (bi)weekly; excludes Move Tutor and Daycare services. Unique Class Events/Quests.

The Virus Economic Perk is a little too strong in my opinion, even if it were to be bi-weekly. Even though some things received a reduction in cost, TMs are still 5,000 and that would be very annoying to know they can continue to get these things free more than once while everyone else (including Trainers who used to have a mere 50% discount in-comparison) still have to pay the full-price.
If TMs were drastically reduced in price, then perhaps I would be less inclined to oppose the perk. Otherwise both TMs and Move Tutors would need to be excluded, or the price would have to ideally be dropped to where it isn't such an advantage. Otherwise people in Virus would save incredible amounts on TMs, being able to save for things like the Safari Tickets while everyone else is "struggling" to manage their funds if they aren't so wealthy.
On a separate note, I'd enjoy both of the Trainer Perks. It would allow them to capitalize on something training-related and not something like a discount on TMs. While that still worked as you're teaching the pokemon a move, I think this also gives incentive to allow our pokemon to lose every so often.
Everything else seems fairly good, though like mentioned it could use some more judgment. This is just my two cents from a quick glance.

I was gonna do my own thing but there's too many good ideas here to pass up so I'm just gonna throw what I got into here. I agree with the above points made in that I'd rather have every class feeling overpowered than class choice feeling paltry. The best part of what's been suggested here is the stuff that's conducive to interplay between classes. I feel like the economical bonuses and the class abilities are all well and good, but as we're all rping here, I'm inclined to think the stuff that promotes rping is the best stuff. I like pretty much all of the ideas here so I'm just sort of adding stuff that I think is different enough to warrant its own post. To that end, I think more than just Professors should be able to Sponsor other classes. Unless otherwise indicating, I think the stuff below should be added on to KASSIDY 's suggestions, not replace them. Might add to this. But, this all the stuff I've got for now. Fisherman:
-Able to Sponsor any character they thread with by crafting or upgrading Rods. A fisherman can only grant one Rod or upgrade one Rod per person per thread. Fisherman A can upgrade Trainer A's Good Rod and give Trainer A an Old Rod in the same thread, but he can't upgrade Trainer A's Old Rod in the same thread. -Fishermen's Rods upgrade from Old Rod to Good Rod after five uses of the Old Rod. Fishermen's Good Rods upgrade to Super Rod after ten more uses of the Rod. -Old Rods are optimal for consistently fishing up Water Type pokémon no matter the Route. Good Rods are are optimal for fishing up aqueous pokémon that can match the typings of those Routes. Super Rods are optimal for encountering pokémon otherwise unavailable in the wild. -Fishermen can't upgrade another person's Rod past the level of their own.
Coordinator: -Coordinators can sell PokéBlocks to other players or to a communal site store that enahnce a pokémon's performance in contests, makes them friendlier, gives them experience bonuses or attracts certain Egg groups in Wild Threads. These PokéBlocks would be created and valued according to what they can do. League: -Similar to Rangers, League members would be able to enter Exclusive threads with probable, In Character, cause. They can also put up Bounties and short Missions in the Ranger HQ for others to take as is approved by staff. -Characters who are Wanted would be unable to take Ranger missions. -League members can also offer an egg containing a pokémon that fits the theme of their gym to other characters, given there is In Character reasoning, with a limit of one egg per character.

got a lot going on so i can't post everything in one go but i'm pretty opinionated on this stuff. i'll edit or double post as i jot stuff down. first of all: FISHERMEN we have 288 members. we have a little over 4 pages of approved characters. we have this many fishermen. don't waste ur breath on it. a fishermen is just a trainer / breeder / coordinator that like pokemon that come from the water. everyone gets a rod. they have no benefits rn. you want a special water pokemon? buy a better rod in the shop. case closed. we don't have different classes for people who specialize in one type of pokemon, or who collect pokemon from only one environment. unless you guys wanna make forester or bug catcher. this is a one off that's a waste of text for something only one person actively plays. eliminate the class and give big a nice BIG rod for his troubles. donezo.

second: class purposes - separating ooc and ic tbh i kind of like the current system where there's no benefit to any class. keeps it simple and you decide strictly from an ic reason. that being said, there are some classes that are distinct by what they do relative to other classes: breeder. coordinator, professor. every other classes feels like a subclass of trainer or vice versa. villain + trainer = virus police + trainer = ranger beat you up ic + trainer = fighter supernatural + trainer = medium so why would you choose trainer unless it had some ic benefit? that or you don't want to fit into one of those categories, which is a-ok. however, from a strategic value standpoint, there's no reason to. ideally, we would just play based off what fits our personal story but if that was the case we wouldn't be really having any problems with class / balance. so you can either remove psychics / fighter and join them under the trainer umbrella or make trainers a little more unique. as it stands, here's my thoughts on the classes. medium = great backstory thing but kinda hurt by the recent nerf to only telepathy. i'm sure there's a reason for it but i also saw some people who's backstories get wiped / retcon by it. as long as there's no abuse and powers are kept on the low end, shouldn't be too big a deal. fighter class confuses me tbh. on paper, it looks like fighters should beat any non-fighter class person ic. if you can beat a fighter as a non-fighter ic then either you're fighter material or that fighter shouldn't be a fighter. fighters irl don't lose to average joes under normal circumstance. the only situation i can think of is you're more of a different class than a fighter, but if your'e a trainer that is a fighter, you might as well be a fighter. coordinator and breeder have no reason to be those rn since there are no class perks, so pick your dominate fighter aspect. the easiest option is to remove both these classes and just let people be trainer / whatever that can also be fighters and psychics. just make a general disclaimer, obtw we only allow these powers for all classes or whatever. actually, there is one clear reason you would pick a different class even tho your character is a fighter / trainer / whatever. that's because you wanna pick a different starter pokemon. that too would benefit from being demolished and turned into a general master list, imo. third - distinctions earlier i mentioned the distinction between breeder, coordinator, professor. the reason i say that is because their occupation doesn't revolve around training pokemon for battle like the others. breeders raise pokemon for their well being / population; coordinators do contest and glamor things; professors do research and research accessories. breeding / contest are not exclusive to those classes, which i think is a good thing. the problem comes with how do you define what makes those classes special? sure a great trainer can probably destroy some coordinators in a contest but on an even footing shouldn't someone who focuses on contest win, at least from an IC standpoint? it gets tricky here with breeding especially cause economy hijinks. that's a hard thing to think of but i don't think the answer lies ooc. if you start slapping stuff with discounts and stuff like that then decisions detract for story reasons and onto reducing the grind. everyone starts off with nothing so everyone's immediate goal is to get power to adjust our story. sure, some of it is for your e-peen, but it's hard to play a character with some influence / power when you only have weak pkmn. world renown professor with level 5 pkmn etc. been breeding pokemon all my life and i only have two level 6s. its also why i disagree with giving classes discount on certain things. then people start making classes for that reason or complain that this class gets this or that. everyone get discounts other than fighters / mediums? then that class might ask for discount to match the ooc disparity. four - current suggestions trainer: not a fan of a conditional trait that only benefits if you're losing. the intention behind it is good but if you don't battle or lose then economic perk: not much of a perk considering no one has a badge. if you mean never caught by that trainer then you will keep getting those bonuses. if you mean site wise, that's a lot of extra work to track. breeder: idk enough about breeding to really judge that being said, i do like the not having to trade to breed. it's extra work for everyone involve, even mods who have to approve trade. ranger: capture styler is just text flavor that really doesn't do anything unless it lets you have 7 pkmn. same with every other "perk". nothing really stops you from doing it except someone saying they're not okay with it ooc. and if they are, what are you going to do, ignore their wishes? economic perk: i don't like niche stuff that may not apply to characters (no evo stone team) professor: why can't they just be sponsoring people with fake ic money? giving real money starts a host of problems with favorism and jealousy etc. might not happen but it s a can of worms you might be opening. "exclusive" thread is the same as a thread u label [CLOSED] or [INVITE] only. not really a "perk". economic perks: depends on tm reduction. bonus for pkmn caught is same issue as trainer. coordinators: idek what the block thing means. rest has been addressed

final: ok so what we do ?1?!!? classes: trainer, coordinator, breeder, professor, league, ranger, virus all perks are ic based. trainer: tbh idfk lmao whenever u battle someone both u guys get full levels from the fight. u training ur pkmn n since u so good since trainers specialize in training pkmn, that person get trained too!? coordinator: contest based advantage? since coordinators focus on moves then maybe move based advantage? if u see a move in a thread, u can teach it to pokemon that can learn it via move tutor / tm / whatever!!! u just have to thread it out! can teach other people pkmn and ur own. tbh i don't like having to solo thread but we know u gonna do wild anyway. ur wild can also be the thread u teach the move if u teaching urself. need to reference the thread to make sure u doing it right! if u teaching someone else, u can only teach one pkmn at a time. 1 thread per pkmn. maybe u can only teach that move for every time u see it. or only from contest events. idk u can limit it as u please but whatever encourages threading w/ people, i'm game. breeder: u bring out a pokemon's full potential... wtf does that even mean ic outside of battling. ur pokemon discovers items at end of thread? maybe follow suit of coordinator. spend a thread grooming / caring for a pokemon and you can teach it an egg move. same w/ increasing happiness. probably replacing moves too for fresh caught pkmn. example: victor and cooper thread. cooper shows victor how to take care of shitter and it becomes happier. that or caring for it in a special way reminds it of some natural ability it didn't know before (ability swap / egg move). professor: this one BIG tricky! this might be weird but basically professor can do threads called RESEARCH. not exclusive but has to be started by professor. RESEARCH thread is kind of like a mission / wild but reward is general site advancement. staff decides advancement ex: ur RESEARCH on fire pokemon in ice path reveal where the ice pokemon went! ice pokemon will now spawn on route 69! ex: ur RESEARCH on pkmn infected with virus reveal that some pokemon are no longer contagious! victor's rhyhorn, cooper's dumb sheep is no longer contagious! ex: ur RESEARCH at whirl island reveal SPOOKY WATER CAVE that can now be explored also gives professors a reason to research shit even if it's a social thread of chatting about nerd talk. i see a trend in people wanting to be mentored but no real professor on site ( CREED ) so now they can at least have reason to go do shit. league: u get a gym u don't need more !!!!! ranger: u a cop. plenty of people pick this just on that alone. maybe write sum fluff on ranger stylus w/e virus: u a bad guy and plot driver. u and ranger get exclusive plot maybe and free shit. !!!!!!! it's late so this is not coherent. just some food for thought. yeah i @ u creed :eyes: Creed said post no breeding. I typing this on mobile but ua eggs r dumb. Why u breed? Egg moves? Move it to being taught via thread. Shiny? Make it buyable for BIGGGG $$$ I want that copy of pkmn! Go catch it. Ik what u thinking. IF I CAN CATCH IT WHY I BREED U IDIOT ! If u wanna breed something hard to catch its probably rare. If u breed rare pkmn it just gonna get banned. Might as well wild it up.

Alright. I suppose now is as good as ever for a response. I've read over what everyone has to say so far, and I thought a bit on everyone's points. Now the next idea I bring up, is not something that will happen FOR SURE, as I do care about what my community has to say on the matter. With that, I'll go over somethings. KASSIDY I like the idea that you wanted to include a financial beneficial perk for each class, but in terms of the class trait.. well in my opinion alot of these don't fit the setting. Like if this site was from any other theme it would be great, but a few of these don't correlate with pokemon canon material. The professor one for sure feels off, and sounded more like a written down perk of what Noble was doing himself. VICTOR LEE okay okay, I made fisherman just cause I felt we were short on initial classes okayy So story time. Once upon a time, when Nova was first making the site and the system, Nova started to address the concept of 'starting pokemon'. She came up with this insane idea to force players to pick starting pokemon from a small list that would make sense with their characters background ( cause she is some kinda control freak ). To make it as easy as she could, she came up with classes. They had no perks to begin with; -- not until she designed the breeding system, which she limited to ONLY breeders. Well obviously this wasn't fair to the other classes, so she gave the remaining classes some perks, and thus the previous perks we had. Anyways, with these discussions, and reading over your additions, --I have come to feel that classes, and perks are completely and undeniably silly. They are just some excuse to try to force a character to fit a certain criteria so that you can choose the desired pokemon. I shouldn't have limited it like that in the beginning, as it has now grown into a complete clusterfuck. Alot of people like the classes, in the fact they like having a label to describe their character, but in my opinion it can be done without. So my suggestion, ( and screw you if you call me lazy again Noble ), is that we toss classes and perks, and fix the starting pokemon list. With a new skin, comes new templates, and I will be removing the aspect of the trainer card. It will still be a simple short app, but will include a free form area for people to fill out about their character if they desire. I think the idea of letting people choose whatever starter they want, despite character background, is an attractive idea. Lemme know what you feel. If alot of people still really want classes and perks, we can come up with something, but please keep in mind I want something simple that fits the setting. I'd like it to make sense with Canon pokemon in a sense.

I could get in line with a lot of these things, although like Nova said (in Discord) we should keep breeding. It's one of those time-gated (aka fair) things that allow us members the chance at Shinies outside of Event eggs, as well as Egg Moves themselves.
If people really want perks in the end (I sort of do?), I say we simplify it similarly to how Nova wants Starter pokemon to be handled. You make a few simple perks and members choose their lifetime perk. Unlike trainer classes, you can never change it. I'll give some examples:
- Extra pokeball (x1-2) thread reward
- Extra berries [x2-5] thread reward
- Extra level for losing a battle, meaning the same +2
To clarify, the extra items means on top of whatever you already generate. And the extra level is useful to new members trying to capitalize on as many levels as possible in their wild threads, etc to try and catch up to people; if that's their goal.
Meanwhile increased chances of finding rare "insert type" pokemon shouldn't be a thing for perks. That's what trainer tiers used to cover.
Also, I think we should have trainer tiers for that reason. Just not to where it benefits a class like Breeders with increased chances for a shiny, etc. I enjoyed the trainer tiers as a way to differentiate veterans from greenhorns, but not to the point where it gave an extra solo wild thread and all that. These veterans would have logically discovered where the rarer pokemon were at, is why I am comfortable going with that. It just seems logical, and would benefit anyone in that tier as a whole. None of that sorta stuff should be tied into trainer tiers like that unless it's beneficial across the board for everyone regardless of trainer class.

WAHHH! MY IDEAS GOT REJECTED EVEN THOUGH I PUT TIME INTO THEM! WAHHH!
A few of my explanations were slightly mistaken, but overall it seems there's a consensus against them and they were mostly understood.
I think putting all starters together in a master list is a decent idea.
Although at that point I wonder if it doesn't make more sense simply to make a Starter Ban List.
Putting a ban on Generation 5+ as well as Psuedos and other particulars seems like it'd make more sense.
Although just conjoining what we've got now is fine too. Just a little weird we couldn't start with say, an obscure bug type, but can start with eevee or a charmander, and so on. This is a very minor concern, but I would think that listing bans would be easier than listing all starters (unless your prerogative is to simply merge what starters we currently have into one master list).
I still really like perks, but a lot of people are against them. Eliminating economic perks seems obvious at this point though. And as some classes don't have a true niche except what we project onto them, I can see why it's difficult to both give everyone something canon-pertinent but also useful.
I would however then like to fall back on Noble's suggestion 'predetermined optional perks' although those too seem to be out of favor.

I originally thought to just make a rule like " no legendaries no this pokemon or this one", buuuuuuuuuuuuuut I know roleplayers. And I didn't want to be pm'd or tagged in the questions channel every five minutes because someone wants to know "can I start with XXX pokemon?"
That, and I figured having a set pokemon would make it easier to add to come the addition of later gen's. Idk. Poor excuses, I was probs mostly doing it for aesthetic.

i spent like 3 hours inbetween fucking off writing this, so i'ma post what i have and can expand on it if there's interest. with that said, by sitting down and doing this i can understand staff frustrations on building or keeping this system. i love class fantasy and have done my best to create perks to center themselves around that. but i also recognize it's not really required and despite apprehensions have found that the lack of rewards dont really effect me. i do like a free-choice to pick starters though. good idea to keep it open to the RPer. a couple of quick points. - i dont think every class needs an economic perk, to be honest. /shrug
- i enjoy breeding, but it's apparent that it's been abused like an amazon manufacturing warehouse in china.
- in terms of class fantasy (i.e. rangers being pokemon police) there's no reason that stuff just can't be done ICly. you shouldn't need the site to give you authorization for you to play the class in such a way. honestly the same with professors and any sort of individualized research can be done in solo threads where you dictate the terms. that sponsor idea is FAR too complicated to implement and any idea that intrudes on exclusive threads are a bad idea. you're essentially forcing yourself on someones RP and that's not gonna end well. anyways: enjoy.
trainers: perk: when capturing a pokemon you gain 2 levels instead of zero economic perk: 50% purchase rate for TMs breeders: i believe there should be an item to reduce incubation times (expensive or not, idc) perk: can incubate two eggs at once economic perk: 25-50% breeding item or 25% off rare candies used on newborne pokemon (minimum 30 day wait to be traded to another character) (or some other restriction to prevent abuse) fisherman: delete this class imo. but i'm open to suggestions from fisherman. medium: blurb here perk: keep telekensis and telepathy. both make for interesting rp aspects w/o being broken economic perk: extra pokedollars in places of interest (burned tower, ruins, etc) ranger: blurb here perk: +1 extra ball in a safari economic perk: berries sold are not reduced in their pricing fighter: perk: athletic and durable; toe to toe w/ pokemon and can lift heavy things ICly economic perk: exempt from move tutor requirements, but keep the price. professor: nothing yet. coordinator: nothing yet; this ones really difficult. virus: doesn't need shit tbh. they are essentially a group that can select a class. missions are enjoyable as you make them and the instant level 15 thing is really cool.

The instant level 15 from virus was limited time only. It should already be over. If we feel like it should be a consistent perk then we can talk about it

hey, hey! so, it's ya fav. shooting star, comet.
so, to solve this issue. i thought of something pretty neat from the past sites of pokemon that i've been on! i don't know if you'll remember this or not, but having read what you just wrote for breeding (we'll tackle aura users at a later date), it's been brought to my attention that this shouldn't be all that complicated nor overly thought-provoking.
so, i'll leave the debate of what to do with classes and what not to you guys. but i only have a nice, fun, and easygoing opinion on what we should do with breeding that's sound, simple, and can't be abused and what, i think, everyone will come to like: licenses and ranches. so we have these individuals who want to breed, correct? buy a license; afterwards, create a ranch. if one desires to be a breeder, they must not only be of the member group that is breeding, but they must also buy a breeding license. and, yes, it will be very expensive. but once one has bought a license from the site store, your character now has accessibility in creating ranch!
so, ranches, are basically designs of how your ranch looks and what not. pretty much setting up shop, give it a cute name, tell us its design, whatever. but, basically, this is where your fellow members will post/come to you in need of breeding assistance. but, in order to gain your assistance, they must pay a respective fee to the breeder based upon the pokemon that they will be using to breed. so ya boy was thinking that, if we create a list in a starting guide for breeders and their customers to look at. inside the guide there will be information on the rarity and pricing to breed that pokemon based, be it boy or girl. it all comes down to the pokemon pairing that are used.
there will be two options general and rarity. general details regular, degular pokemon you can find in the wild but you're just too lazy to search; whereas, rarity, entails the majestic creatures that can only be found in the safari or just out of sheer luck. if you have a general pokemon as the father and a rarity as the mother, you will pay the breeder the cost of the two combined to breed them. there may actually be 3 different categories: general, rare, and ultra rare, which will cost quite a price. but, in addition to that, if you want incubation to speed up the breeding process, that will cost you extra because the breeder, in question, will have to buy the incubator from their own pocket!
now, for slots and to determine when a breeder can breed again. i was thinking of giving them 2 slots if we approve of this idea. meaning, should those 2 slots be full, breeders cannot breed until the player character/member has posted once more to claim their respective egg. so if 1 breeders slots are all full, they can't breed until those slots are clear/the eggs have been claimed. you the breeder are in charge of updating your slots, the mods will not look after your ranch. we merely give you the money from their pockets and spawn you the eggs. if they don't claim it in insert a number of days, you may place those eggs up for adoption and have the right to sell them for a reasonable price based upon the chart that depicts that specific pokemon's price/value or you can just keep it for yourself; though, i will say that you're not allowed to gift them. only sell--unless you think that's too much and we should allow the breeder the choice of selling or gifting.
but, ye, anyway. that's the gist of it. do note if a breeder's ranch slots are full, just move onto another that's free. /shoulder shrug.

I've taken a liking to Comet's idea. It simply combats the initial "problem" (imo) I saw with Breeders, where they didn't seem to have any financial benefits while the other classes did; which didn't make sense when using the games as a reference to class perks. In-game Breeding isn't how Staff wanted to see it done, I know, but that's the main reference I use. /shrug
It also provides an optional incubator like I've asked about to quicken the breeding times, because some of us would like to cut down on the 2 weeks/1 month timer as best we can. Even if it does cost a pretty penny, those of us who are eager to get our hands on a pokemon and begin working with it will surely utilize this when possible. Unless your name is Aero /snickers
However, the pricey license bit is a slight turn-off depending. Although I do understand why we don't want every Breeder able to immediately open up shop by claiming a license and making their own Day 1.
So I would like to ask/propose if other Breeders could be employed by established Ranches, where they themselves have one (1) Breeding/Egg slot on top of the owner's two (2). Perhaps make it a special mentoring thing where only 1 Breeder can be working under another's Ranch, so that one person doesn't have all the Breeders in their ranch.
This would help other Breeders working on the money for their own Ranch to still do their "job", while also providing them further reason to plot and interact with their fellow Breeder(s).
Perhaps a part of their proceeds would go to the Head Breeder/Ranch Owner, but no more than 25-50% (Could be based on the General/Rarity). Reason being is that this money is obviously going to help them establish their own Ranch. And if it's limited to one (1) Breeder being mentored at the Ranches, then we will need more Ranches as the Breeder count goes up, etc etc.
