| Sometimes it still hurt, the scars left behind by the Nidoking's sharpened and deadly claws, permantly damaging the nerves on her left shoulder blade. Normal day to day stuff didn't normally effect the blonde too much, such as reaching upwards to grab something from the cupboards, or even throwing a pokeball in an attempt to add on to her team. Rather than physical pain, the pain was more mental than anything. She could bite through the stings of pushing her muscles a little too far, that was nothing now years after that event. But what wasn't so easy to bite through, was the strain it had not only of her own psyche, but the strain it put on her relationships. The relationship she had with her parents the most. Of course that just came with the territory of having breeder parents. They always wanted you to become like them, to carry on the business in their name when they inevitably pass away. But what if you didn't want to carry it on? What if you were too scared? Her parents didn't seem to quite understand her pain, or at least were trying too hard to try and force her to get over it. But there was no helping her, at least with their methods. It ended in another fight, more tense than the last ones. They wanted her to help with the Miltanks, to go out back and see if any eggs had produced. She refused, they fought back. The rest went the same as always. It always ended up like this...
With the sun's warm rays protruding through the canopy of leaves Juno adjusted herself as she sat upon one of the many thick branches of this route's trees, scooting backwards towards the trunk to make sure she would not fall off. She had come to this specific one so many times that it was bent slightly at the end, and the wood beneath her was so worn down that the bark was completely torn off, both just from her constant usage and the fact that when she got bored enough she would pick at the bark. The trainer crossed her arms over her chest and her legs over one another, leaning backwards comfortably. Well, as comfortable as you can be on a branch that could break off and fall at any time. But Juno didn't care. She just needed a place to get away, to be alone while she waited for her parents to give up looking for her. Closing her eyes the girl slowed her breathing down so they were inaudible, taking the time to listen to the light rustle of the leaves and the bird pokemon chirping in the distance. From under Juno's black baseball cap, a small Pichu's head poked out, gazing at their green surroundings. It took a bit of time to recognize where they were before pipping up with a questioning "... Pichu?"
Juno opened her sapphire eyes, looking upwards to her concerned partner. She let out a small sigh before closing them again, snuggling her face down into her blue scarf. "It's okay, Jupiter. We'll go back eventually, before sunset." The Pichu watched his trainer with a careful eye for a moment before its ears flopped down.

| The forest noises were calming to the fiery blonde. The leaves rustling in the light breeze, the bird Pokemon singing and chirping in the distance. Not to mention the light trickling sounds of water coming a little bit away from the Lake of Rage. One could say it was nature's song, or perhaps more a of lullaby seeing as how Juno was having a bit of trouble fighting off the wave of sleeping that was slowly coming over her. The girl opened her mouth in a yawn, reaching her arms upwards in a stretch before she folded them behind her head. Even Jupiter was having a bit of trouble staying awake. The Pichu also yawned, crawling his way back under the trainer's hat to curl up and give in to the impending rest. Who could say how much time passed since she first closed her eyes. A few minutes? Maybe even an hour or two? Nothing crazy, it wasn't going to be sunset soon as it was still rather high in the sky, but the sun defiantly had moved a bit since then. Juno had fallen victim to nature's lullaby. Her chest rose and fell softly with each sleeping breath, the cooling soft winds rustling her tied up hair. It was almost peaceful enough to be painted as a picture, which was saying a lot since Juno wasn't usually the quiet type. The only thing that was preventing it from being perfect, was the little golden tail sticking out of the vibrant green leaves above her. It wagged, making the leaves rustle quite loudly, though not loudly enough to wake the girl beneath. Faint quacking sounds could be heard coming from whatever this creature was, mumbled, as if it was muttering to itself. But after a moment, the quacking stopped abruptly, and was instead replaced with creaking. One more soft, questioning quack came before another more louder creak came from the tree. Then, SNAP. The snapping sound echoed within the forest as one of the branches snapped, causing the Pokemon to fall onto Juno's branch. Juno awoke with a start, sitting upward, her blue eyes wide and blinking to adjust to the sun's light once more. It took a few blinks for her vision to completely function again, but once it did she recognized what had woke her up in the first place. As what once was just a yellow blur now came into focus, she could see it was a... Psyduck... Staring right back at her with those blank eyes. Not completely understanding what was going on at first and why a Pokemon who couldn't even fly was up here in the first place, her gaze quickly shifted to some things that it was holding within its grasp. Two Oran berries, a Pecha berry, a Razz berry, and... What looked to be a potion? After the two stared at each other for a brief moment, Juno only reacted fully after another few seconds or so. Sapphire eyes ignited in rage and her blonde eyebrows creased in anger. "Hey! What the hell?! Is that my potion!?" She would yell at the duck pokemon, as if it would respond back. But while holding these items in its arms, all the Psyduck did was tilt its head to the side, letting out a single noise.
".................... Psy?"
But, apparently that was enough to tell Juno it wasn't planning on giving back her potion. She she did what any normal person would do in this situation. She lunged for it. "WHY YOU LITTLE!!" With a intense yell she sprung forward towards the duck Pokemon... Well, at least tried to, as when she tried to push herself forward the branch under them snapped as well. The two fell, rather hard. It happened so fast Juno wasn't even sure what had happened at first. One moment she was in the tree, the next she was on the ground looking up at the sky with the breath knocked out of her and a sore spine. A green leaf fluttered down in the air before landing on her cheek, letting out a groan of pain before forcing herself up. Looking to the side she would see that her black cap had fallen off mid fall, along with Jupiter. The yellow mouse was currently a bit away from the cap, laying flat out on the ground with swirling eyes. Next to it, was the Psyduck with the same swirling eyes. Its items were sprawled out along the grass now, one of the Oran berries was even squished. Well, at least it dropped her potion now. Though a bit shaky Juno forced herself to her knees, and then eventually her feet. Though, a shooting pain rose from her right foot, causing her to falter slightly. Wincing, she clicked her tongue. "Damn, must have sprained something when i landed. Mom's going to kill me..." she muttered to herself. About to go over and pick up her belongings her gaze twitched over to the Psyduck, who was no longer dazed. It sat up, staring at her blankly before letting out some more mumbled noises, tilting its head. Well... Originally since it was dazed Juno was just going to pick up her stuff and leave it alone, but something about the way it stared at her pissed her off, so now she had to fight it to wipe that stupid look off its face. "Don't think this is over, you creep!" Originally going in for another lunge Juno stopped instantly as soon as she put her sprained foot down, regretting even trying to run in the first place as the pain shot like fire up her leg. She faulted once again, almost falling to her knees, but caught herself before she did. She let out a hiss of pain through her teeth, twitching a golden eyebrow as she looked up, only to see the duck Pokemon running away. "Fuck... I'm... Not letting you get away that easy!" Determined for payback the blonde hobbled carefully over to her still dazed Pichu, leaning over to pick up his limp body and patting his pink cheeks to wake him up. "Hey, Jupi. Hey! This is no time for sleeping, bud. We've got to teach a lesson to this Psyduck." The Pichu's cheeks only lit up and let out some small sparks of electricity in response, but she had gotten zapped by him so many times these weak signals weren't harsh enough to hurt her any. Juno let out a grunt of displeasure. There was only one thing to do. Standing back up she gazed over to the duck Pokemon, who was still waddling away, though rather slowly so it hadn't gotten very far. Taking Jupiter in her left hand's grasp she would reach back as if she were throwing a football, closing one eyes to aim right for the Psyduck. Once she got it in her sights a smirked formed on the edge of her lips, pushing her arm forward and sending the Pichu into the air. The dazed Pichu flew through the air at an amazing speed, only half way through his flight actually waking up. Slowly blinking small black eyes open the small Pokemon looked around, only to see the scenery passing by him at and alarming rate. The Pichu began to panic, scared for his life and unsure what was happening to him, or why and how he was even flying in the first place. Closing his eyes Jupiter's rosy cheeks sparked, crackling like lightning he let out a cry and his entire body was covered with zapping electricity. Zooming towards his target, the Pichu would come into contact with the water Pokemon by slamming into its back. The Pysduck stopped once the Pokemon hit, opening its mouth and letting out a very pain-filled cry as it was shocked with harsh volts of electricity. Juno watched as the Psyduck was shocked for a few seconds before the lightning ceased, and the duck Pokemon, now semi-burnt, fell to the ground... On top of a Pokeball that had escaped Juno's bag and rolled away during the fall. Watching the light cover the Pokemon Juno, who was happy for only but a second with her victory, was now horrified as the ball sucked in the Pokemon, and closed shut. | | | | | BY EDWARD OF ADOXOGRAPHY |
