friends Fred is an extremely friendly individual. Almost too friendly. He's almost always got a smile on his face and will gladly engage in conversation with whoever he meets. It seems genuine for the most part, as he does at least appear to actually enjoy his time with people. His calm demeanor is generally unoffensive, and he is patient enough to put up with quite a bit. Combined with the fact that fact it seems nearly impossible for him to get riled up, or at least to get him to show his anger, and you've got a guy who could potentially get along with anyone.
Frederick has spent most of his life in Kogane city, where he worked as a police officer for many years. Most of his existing relationships would come from this city, as his work rarely allowed him to leave to see other places. But he has always been a pretty outgoing person, so he is likely to take the time to chat with anyone who happened to be passing through. As an officer he was very zealous about his work and was always looking to help those in need, and more importantly apprehend those causing trouble. Perhaps he assisted your character while they were passing through in some way? Whatever the case anyone who knew him as an officer would be pretty shocked to hear that he took an early retirement. He really seemed to love his work... enemies No crime should go unpunished. Frederick firmly believes in this, as it serves as the driving force for most of his decisions. As friendly as he may seem, he is never one to hold back in the name of what's right. In fact he can be down right savage when dealing with criminals, showing them no mercy in their punishment. Anyone who has any involvement in crime is immediately an enemy in his eyes, and he will be sure to find a punishment fitting for their offense. Yet even with people he truly despises he manages to maintain the same relaxed attitude that he does around friends, making it difficult for some to tell exactly where they stand with him.
For every person Frederick helped in Kogane, there's a couple that he pissed off. Whether he refused to let them off the hook for minor offenses like littering or jaywalking or he foiled a far more criminal act, there's plenty of reasons to butt heads with him. He is also very protective of Pokemon, and seems to take it personally when humans use or abuse them for personal gain. Then again not all of his enemies have to be criminals. His attitude toward crime could be irritating even to an innocent individual, and his overly calm attitude could be pretty suspicious. Not that he seems to care. lovers Love is a difficult subject. Frederick never bothered with anything but shallow relationships while he was working on the force, his dedication to the job preventing him from having anything deeper. And to be perfectly honest that's fine by him. As much joy as relationships bring, he is sue he can gain just as much from his work. If not more. While he may not be actively looking for a relationship it isn't exactly out of the question. He's still human, after all. And if he found a woman with a strong love of justice to match his own? Well he just may have to see where that could go.
As previously stated past relationships would have been pretty short and shallow. Maybe a couple blind dates set up by some guys at work or even his mother. This means he could have at least some sort of a past with any lady who has spent any time in Kogane. Most of these short lived affairs ended with either Fred cutting it off when things got too serious or the other party getting sick of being involved with a workaholic. Regardless there were never any hard feelings on his part. But there's no telling how many women he frustrated with his intense work ethic. |

So I think these two would make great enemies, what with Ari being a giant edgelord serial delinquent and Frederick being an upstanding Ranger. Since they're both from Kogane, I was thinking that perhaps they could have met before. Ari could be a criminal that got away from Frederick and encounters him again while she's doing something shady. Or she could be someone that he's "punished" in the past and she's looking for revenge. I'm open to anything, really, just let me know if you're interested~ |

ari & frederick Yesssss I've been waiting for a criminal to make themselves known. And the fact that she's from Kogane means they definitely have a history. Depending on how long she has been deliquenting it could be that Fred had the displeasure of dealing with her earlier crimes. Since she would be underage she wouldn't get any serious punishment, so even if he caught her then she would just have a record. And then by the time she was old enough to be properly charged with a serious crime she was too good and he could never quite catch her in the act. Like they would see each other and he would know she broke the law and she knew he knew but there was nothing to be done about it. In a way it could be said that he helped her get to where she is now. I imagine being pursued would spur her on to improve more quickly. Of course if that's too deep for you we could have it just be a classic game of cat and mouse. Of course now that he turned in his badge he can't technically arrest her for anything. But if she knows him at all she would realize that if anything that just makes him more dangerous. But even now he wouldn't do anything unless he caught her in the act, so they could still have some tense interactions before he manages to catch her red handed. His calmness likely annoys tf out of Vivi - bonus points if her partner pokemon likes him too. They have totally different mindsets - especially in regards to the cold-shoulder way she treats her team, which may make Fred a bit 'wtf that's wrong'. I feel like Vivian would be one of those idiots people who trains head on with their pokemon even if there's a big chance of them getting hurt. So, Vivian does a stupid and gets hurt & Fred helps her even though she's like 'no fuck off im fine.' Maybe a clash of ideals here if he starts asking her why she pushes herself/pokemon like this, otherwise, I could definitely see some bantering or whatnot. vivian & frederick don't worry i'll take your half dead plotsFunny thing about Frederick though...he kinda does the same thing with his pokemon. He trains them by pushing them to their limits because he thinks that is the only way they can reach their fullest potential. He doesn't so much cold shoulder them as he does push them to the point of collapse and then when they succeed reward them with praise and affection. But from the outside looking in it would be easy to think that he was abusing his pokemon, so unless she is outright whipping them I doubt there's anything she could do that would bother or offend him. Of course there's plenty of other reasons for them to dislike each other. If she finds calmness irritating then there will definitely be an issue. He's patient enough to put up with her attitude for a time, but if she repeatedly responds to him with rudeness eventually she'll end up on his bad side, which is always fun. I think it would be fun to shove these two together in a wild thread, maybe? I'm actually curious what would happen if they realized that despite being totally opposite people they actually had some similarities in how they trained their pokemon. and of course now that you so kindly posted on my plotter feel free to boop me on discord if you want to do some plottage thereVivian Valestein |

Frederick Ferdinand & DAMIEN VON KLAUSS eyyyyyyyyy !!! sorry, i'm not a big fan or posting in my own plotter. this is a nice way to spread the love too so here I am in yours responding. it might be best to wait for comet / juliet's answer. in my head, i'd say the casino is about 75% clean. it's a legitimate money-making business but there are a few questionable antics that seem to happen inside their ivory tower of sorts. With his fighting, damien is pretty careful honestly. it's always only at a fight club, never willy-nilly in the street. perhaps frederick spots him one night undercover and confronts him? damien isn't the smartest cookie but he isn't an idiot. they could have a very friendly rivalry sort of connection going on especially if he's into juliet or shows some signs of affection. damien would go ballistic on the man. |

Frederick Ferdinand & DAMIEN VON KLAUSS yeah, i've seen it done a lot of other places. i enjoy it even though you need to read back and forth to see the conversation. yeah, that would make a lot of sense since he is very lawful good, it seems. i'd enjoy to see them have to work together in a sense but also if you want him to not like Damien? we should start the threads in which Damien rubs his wealth and the fact that he's untouchable in Frederick's face. Maybe it should wait a little bit though since I don't think Damien would be too careless quite yet. His trainer journey is still very new and so he still needs his Dad to hand over the company lmaooo. sounds good to me! but yes, if damien did misread the signs he'd get very upset borderline belligerent towards the dude. maybe frederick caught damien with a petty theft / crime and so that's where everything first began? i'm thinking 14 year old damien got caught stealing or something like that and he decided to piss off the boy and his father. it may be a good way to easily start the tension between the two? |

Frederick Ferdinand & Persephone Bridgett So I want to say that Frederick could be Percy's friend when she drops by town. She's a easily spooked shy girl but as a writer she travels a lot to draw in inspiration and she has a hard time making permanent friends to begin with. We could thread them meeting and with his overly kind nature she's bound to get attached to him. While shy and in a shell she gets easily in awe of others because she believes they're better than she is. Who knows maybe he could teach her to be more comfortable with herself. |

persephone & frederick oh wow i was literally working on a post for your plotterYes I think these two would get along very well. He wouldn't be put off by her awkward shyness at all, though he might tease her just a bit. And since she's a breeder he probably wouldn't push her as hard as he does people who have chosen more competitive paths. On top of that reading happens to be one of Fred's favored pastimes. Though he usually reads mystery novels and I'm not sure what kind she's in to or writes but I'm sure they could bond over that. He does like to try new things so he could probably end up picking up one of her books without realizing it. And since he travels a lot as well they could cross paths just about anywhere. ∞ I heard he had an early retirement? So I was wondering, would Frederick be the type to take in another ranger and be a mentor, directly or indirectly? Because I was thinking maybe him and Raven could've worked together in the past back when he was still a ranger and her still in training, or at least taught her a lot about what she knows now as a ranger. He could've been the refreshing presence in her life after years with strict parents and the reason for her adventurous and friendly attitude and influence a bit of her sense of justice.
∞ What do you think? :3 Feel free to add or change things up to fit his character

raven& frederick As much as Frederick loves to take people in, he's actually fairy new to being a ranger. He was actually a police officer before, which is the job which he took an early retirement from. He's been a ranger for less than a year, so it's possible that Raven has been doing this for quite a bit longer. However he does have quite a bit of knowledge and experience from serving as an officer that would apply to their work, so he does have plenty of wisdom to share with regards to justice and pokemon. But if you were thinking more of a figure in Raven's past I'm afraid he's a bit too fresh for that. But still, I think these two would get along. A fellow ranger who is friendly and has a sense of justice? I'm sure Frederick would love to work with her. Raven Knight |

∞ Raven most likely ran away from home once when she was younger. He could've been stationed in Fusube City for a while and happened to be the officer who found her and brought her back home. Instead of being bitter, she'd be thankful and awestruck. She'd often be visiting his station everyday until the time he has to leave the city, but the time she spent with him was what inspired her to be a Ranger, and change her view on her life.
∞Then she'd be surprised to see him as a ranger. What do you think? I'm totally not hell bent on this mentor/inspiration thing

raven & frederick I think that could work! Fred always wanted to be the best trainer he could be, so I could imagine him spending some time in Fusube to train with the elite trainers that the city is known for. Though I'm not sure he would have been an active officer, I'm sure he would have had a rapport with them, since he tends to get along pretty well with people in law enforcement and was likely joining them in various training exercises. So it would be less like visiting him at the post and more like visiting him and the other officers during their training. Though it was have a very similar effect I would assume, since even back then Fred would have been practically acting as an officer off the record whether he was suppose to or not. Dude just can't stop fighting crime. But I can imagine it would be surprising to see him as a ranger, at the time he would have seemed like really enjoyed his work as a police officer. So yes! So I don't really have to post here because i'm almost positive the event thread is really gonna influence the relationship between Azad and Fredrick, but I am gonna post here because I think having a starting point never hurts. As is, I have no doubt the two will get along somewhat, but I don't think Azad can ever trust Fredrick. Maybe it's because he reminds him too much of his perfect elder brother or maybe it's because he never seems truly open. (then again neither is Azad) there's simply something about him that doesn't seem 'real' to the darker-skinned boy and that actually scares him a bit like the man has something very dangerous to hide. I def wanna thread with Fred (see what I did there) I'm gonna be releasing a few missions soon so I was wondering if you'd be interested in that.
