The first pokemon that appeared before Arashi was a Minccino. He wasn't really keen on catching one of them. Maybe he should walk away? Although, this did seem like the perfect chance to test out his Aphrodite. Opportunities like these didn't come often. What harm would it do? [break][break]

"Sorry Minccino." Arashi said. "I'm not going to capture you. But a am going to use you." [break][break]

He pulled out a pokeball and threw it into the air. "Come on out, Aphrodite!" [break][break]

The Buneary bounded out of the pokeball. Unlike many of Arashi's other pokemon, this one didn't roar. She was a quiet one, even during battle. [break][break]

"Okay Aphrodite, let's try you out a little?" Aphrodite looked up at him with determined eyes. It seemed that she was fully prepared for this fight. "That's what I like to see! Then, go ahead and fight. Use High Jump Kick first!" [break][break]

The small Buneary bounced one time. That one bounce made her blast forward like a rocket. Arashi was nearly blown black from the backlash of her speed. [break][break]

"Woah!" Arashi said. "That's fast!" [break][break]

Aphrodite pulled off a zig zag maneuver, bouncing once to the left, then the next to the right. The Minccino had barely any chance to determine where she was coming from. She moved swift, changing directions before anyone could pick up on where she was. When she finally made it to the Minccino, she pulled off a move that Arashi hadn't expected. She jumped over the chinchilla pokemon, her body appearing like a brown blurry line, and landed behind it. Without a single sound being made, she bounced once more into the Minccino and extended her legs, kicking the normal type from behind. [break][break]

That one kick blasted Minccino away from Aphrodite. The tiny Chinchilla pokemon soared from where it stood and flew several meters away. Dust kicked up where it flew. The normal type didn't stop until it rocketed right into a tree and crashed with the near force of a car wreck. The Minccino barely stood a chance. Its eyes went into a daze, and it passed out from Aphrodite's power. [break][break]

"WOW." Arashi said. "I... I did not see that coming."

Arashi gently patted Aprhodite's head. The Buneary didn't make a sound, but it was clear that she was happy from the look she gave him. "You're pretty strong." he commented. Artemis agreed on that with a roar. From his words, Aphrodite's cheeks became red, and she used the cotton on her chest to cover her face. [break][break]

That put a smile on Arashi. "You're gonna be a great addition to the team." [break][break]

He looked out into the safari zone. As he was interacting with his pokemon, he heard a strange sound. It came from the tree above him. The leaves were being rustled. He heard a light twitter. Arashi furrowed his brow, then ducked as something flew directly towards him. [break][break]

"WOAH!" He shouted out as a wild bird flew past him. Artemis released a growl while Aphrodite moved in front of Arashi to protect him. [break][break]

The Fletcling fluttered some more in the air before diving to the ground. It looked angrily at everyone there. Seemed like this pokemon had something stuck up its ass since it appeared very grumpy. Artemis didn't like the look it gave, and prepared to attack it. However, Arashi stopped her by putting a hand in front of her. [break][break]

"Wait." he said. "I have the perfect pokemon to deal with this." He gave a smirk to his Bayleef, then pulled out a pokeball. [break][break]

"Apollo, come out!" Arashi's Blitzle made a burst out of the pokeball, giving a cheerful cry. However, the moment the Blitzle saw the Fletchling staring at him angrily, he began to cower. [break][break]

"Still afraid... Huh?" [break][break]

Arashi's Blitzle was... A bit of a coward. Apollo couldn't battle in front of other people that stared at him, and pokemon that looked incredibly terrifying would make him shake in fear. The electrified pokemon was an utter mess. Arashi had to get rid of this Blitzle's fears if he was going to take on the pokemon league with him. Unfortunately, he hadn't figured out how to go about things. [break][break]

"Come on Apollo! You can do this! It's a flying type, which means that it's very weak against you." He tried to cheer his pokemon on, but it didn't seem to work. Apollo still seemed to quake in fear. [break][break]

The Fletchling wasn't keen on kindly waiting for the Blitzle to summon some courage, however. It soared in the air, then dived downward. Out of fear, Apollo ducked and hid his head to the ground. Oddly, that allowed him to dodge the Steel Wing that the Fletchling tried to deliver. [break][break]

"Apollo! You're going to get hurt if you don't fight back!" Arashi was biting his lips with anxiousness. He didn't like throwing this pokemon into battles strictly because Apollo didn't fight half of the time. He was just as afraid of the Blitzle losing than the Blitzle was. However, Apollo had to fight. He would not become stronger if he at least didn't try. [break][break]

Artemis gave out a roar. Her voice carried over to Apollo, and the electrified pokemon looked over at her. He was still shaking, and tears were starting to form in his eyes. However, hearing Artemis cheer him on with her roars awakened something inside of him. [break][break]

That was right. Artemis was Apollo's friend. If she was in his corner, she could give him the strength to fight. [break][break]

The Blitzle staggered to stand upright. He still quaked like crazy, but his eyes were less tearful and more determined. [break][break]

"That's a good job, Apollo!" Arashi cheered on. "Try to take down this pokemon with a shockwave." [break][break]

Apollo closed his eyes and gave a forced roar. He charged up his body, then sent a wave of electricity towards the enemy. This wave was unavoidable, so there was no way it could miss. The Shockwave struck the Fletchling, then immediately took it down. [break][break]

"You hit it!" Both Arashi and Artemis practically jumped up and down for the Blitzle. Apollo didn't understand but slowly opened his eyes to see that the Fletchling had not only been struck, but it had been KO'd too. [break][break]

Apollo tried to register everything. Did he just take down that Fletchling? Artemis raced towards him and playfully pounced on him. He was shocked when she attacked him, but saw the big and bright smile on her face. This made him smile too. [break][break]

While his pokemon celebrated, Arashi bent down next to the Fletchling and lightly tapped its unconscious body with a safari ball. "Looks like I got myself my first quarry." he said. "Now, all I need is a Litten."

Arashi seemed cheerful with his newly caught pokemon. However, that cheerfulness didn't last long. Immediately after the Fletchling was stored, Arashi, Artemis and Apollo all sniffed a very repugnant smell. This brought a teary eye to Apollo and made Arashi bounce back in disgust. [break][break]

"Ew, what is that smell?" Arashi commented, covering his nose so that he wouldn't have to be subjected to a weird, nasty odor. It somehow smelled like gas and garbage mixed together to create something completely evil. [break][break]

That was when Arashi remembered what other type of pokemon could be found in this zone. [break][break]

A Koffing levitated its way in front of Arashi. Upon seeing this creature, Apollo scurried behind Artemis with fear. [break][break]

Arashi started remembering. Koffing were very dangerous, gas filled pokemon that could explode literally at any moment. They really weren't the ideal pokemon unless you were some criminal who wanted to take advantage of their gas secretion. Arashi was no criminal. Well... He was kind of a criminal, but not in the sense where he wanted to abuse a Koffing's abilities. That was just too dangerous. [break][break]

There was only one option for Arashi to take in that moment. [break][break]

"RUN!" he shouted out, and bolted the other way as Artemis and Apollo followed right behind him.

"Huh... What the?" Arashi turned his head. They had managed to run away from the Koffing. However, they had another problem now. An Audino was chasing after them. It looked incredibly determined to fight them. Ugh, why did Arashi after to deal with this? [break][break]

He turned to look at his Bayleef. "Artemis, can you handle that thing? Maybe fight it with a body slam!" [break][break]

His Bayleef stared at the Audino, which was gaining speed fast, and nodded. She halted in her steps, then turned on her heel. Artemis jumped in the air and allowed the Audino to run right into her for a flying suplex, which then turned into a Body Slam. Arashi looked back and cheered with excitement. [break][break]

"Good job, Arty!" He stopped running, as well as his other pokemon did, to watch the battle. He was tired as hell and could barely breathe. That damn Koffing had made him run, and now he was tired. It was a good thing for him that he was actually physically fit, or he would have passed out by now. "Finish it with a Solar Beam!" [break][break]

While Artemis stood on top of the downed Audino, she gathered sun energy in her leaf. With one mighty yell, she released it, letting go of a large Solar Beam that blasted the Audino to near death. The creature howled out in incredible pain. It tried to get up from the onslaught, but Artemis didn't allow it. She held the creature down and forced it to take the entire solar blast.[break][break]

When the battle was over, Arashi sighed. "This is too much action for one adventure." he commented. "I just hope it all ends soon." He was still looking for a Litten after all, but time was slowly running out. "Alright guys, I'm not giving up yet. Let's start searching okay?" Sooner or later, he would find the pokemon he was looking for. Even if that meant driving himself crazy.

It didn't take long for Arashi to find what he was looking for. More accurately, it was the Blitzle who had spotted the pokemon. They all searched in the tall grass around them. While Apollo was looking, a wild Litten showed up to cause a bit of mischief. Giving off a snicker, the Litten used ember on Apollo while he wasn't looking, and the already terrified Blitzle gave off a horrible shriek. [break][break]

Apollo raced away from the tall grass and towards Artemis. He hid behind her, giving her a great startle. When Artemis tried to figure out why he was so terrified, the Blitzle gestured to the tall grass she had just checked. [break][break]

Artemis walked over to see what the fuss was about. However, the moment she stepped into the grass, she was nearly set on fire by the mischevious Litten. [break][break]

Artemis gave a growl. Immediately, she roared aloud, alerting everyone near her of the creature they had been searching for. Arashi immediately came over with Aphrodite following right behind him. [break][break]

"Alright, everyone! We found our next quarry!" Arashi said when he saw the Litten. Finally, he could get out of this place. [break][break]

He jumped right into battle. [break][break]

"Perseus! It's your time to shine!" Arashi hurled out a pokeball, summoning his Squirtle to the battlefield. The Squirtle gave a cheerful roar, somewhat happy to be out of the pokeball. Though, he was still upset that there were no human females around. [break][break]

"Perseus! You see that Litten? Attack it, and I'll be sure you let you lay on as many women's pillows as you want." It seemed a bit morally wrong to promote such a pervasive characteristic from his pokemon. However, how else was he going to get this Squirtle to listen to him? [break][break]

Perseus seemed to like that idea, though, and happily stared at the Litten with determined eyes. The Litten seemed disinterested though, and turned around as if it was going to walk away. [break][break]

"Don't let it escape!" Arashi shouted. "Stop it with a water gun!"

The Squirtle released a huge blast of water, which was much more effective than Arashi realized, as it quickly knocked out the Litten. [break][break]

"Woah." Arashi said. "Nice job Perseus." [break][break]

When the Litten couldn't continue moving, Arashi hurled the Safari ball at it, capturing the creature inside.
