[attr="class","textie"] Taking a quick dip into her bag, Isabella and pulled out the Safari ball that had her Meinfoo in it and sent out the Pokémon by her side. Setting the empty ball into her bag, she started down to the river where she’d met the Mienfoo and took a seat on the rocks. ”It’s amazing how only a couple of weeks changes us, huh?” She asked, looking out to the river as the smaller Pokémon jumped her way up onto the rocks to look out from where her trainer had been doing the same. Looking toward her Pokémon, the Mienfoo nodded as she took a gaze out at this place. It felt like a longer time since they’d met, but it was surely a hell of filled time, from time to time anyway. [break][break]

A splat like sound made Isabella jump and look to her left where her Mienfoo stood as she had been partially covered in mud. The fighting Pokémon glared to her side as a strange looking Pokémon had begun to snicker and laugh at having flung the mud at them. It too jumped up on the rocks a little distance from the pair and electricity sparked around its body. ”Wanna show it a lesson?” She asked, smirking as the Mienfoo took no time to waste in being ready for the fight. ”Good. Wait for it to use the attack, then we’ll catch it off guard with Jump Kick.” Suddenly, she placed a hand on Mienfoo’s shoulder. ”Better yet, here’s the better idea.” Leaning in, she whispered her plans then gave a pat to the back of her Pokémon to let her go at her own call. [break][break]

The sparks of electricity began to grow more rapid, the Mienfoo seemed dash off in a flash and whacking her hands on either side of the Pokémon’s head. It flinched and before it could react, Mienfoo thrusted forward with a Force Palm and sent it back. The Helioptile shook off the attack, though showing obvious pain from the effective hit and watched it starting to dash at Mienfoo at a quick pace. Watching it, Mienfoo’s Detect caught the movement and she jumped up over the electric Pokémon and then landed a devastating kick to the head, launching the Pokémon back and out of sight. Bouncing a little in a manner ready to fight more at a milliseconds notice, she waited until it was no more. ”Awesome work, Mienfoo!” She cheered on, giggling with joy at watching the fight unfold.[break][break]

[attr="class","textie"]With a high five between the two, Isabella had begun to take a small walk toward the river bank. Taking out a couple empty bottles of water, she opened them up and one at a time filled them up. She handed the first to the Mienfoo with a happy smile. "Go ahead and drink up. I don't know how long we'll be around here, so it's always good to stay hydrated. Be it for battles or for dancing~" Giving a nod, the small fighter took the bottle and began to drink up nearly half the bottle before she set it down and gave a relieved sigh from the cold taste. "Good, I take it?" She asked, laughing at how much and her general reaction to it had been. With a cry and the look of joy on her face, it was easy for Isabella to tell it was the right call and in such, she had closed up her own bottle and taking a sip from the pop top she had on it, taking a decent portion of it herself. In a joking tone, the Mienfoo had asked her the same question, though instead of a normal answer they both had a good laugh over it.[break][break]

Down the way, something in the water made her take her focus off of the relaxing fun that she was having with her Pokemon. Bubbling water? That couldn't be the case, the water was nearly ice cold just from the feel and taste of it. "Hey, do you-" The Mienfoo lifted up a hand to stop her from saying anything or even moving toward it. It seemed that she had seen it too and with any thought to it, it could have been a hot spot like a heat pocket for volcanic activity! ...or a Pokemon. Either one were viable in Isabella's eyes. A rock of some sort had popped out of the water and landed on the ground next to it. Its two hand like faces glared at the pair down the way from it. From behind the wild Pokemon, it had pulled rocks up from the ground and locked their sights onto Mienfoo. "Get that Detect prepped. We're too far away for a Fake Out again... Umm.. Time to practice your timing!" With a wicked smirk, she nodded at the Mienfoo whom looked back to her trainer, catching the idea she had in mind as her attention focused back to the Ancient Power being aimed at her.[break][break]

The rocks floating in the air launched at Mienfoo, whom suddenly jumped into the volley of rocks. Each calculated step pushed the rocks safely from her trainers direction while keeping herself from being injured, only to land herself in the perfect spot to fly down from above like a Pidgey attacking a Wurmple. The fighting Pokemon extended a foot out and landed a Jump Kick onto the Binacle. From the angle, it had bounced off of the ground and with it, the Mienfoo, thrusted forward with a Force Palm and following it up with another Force Palm with her other hand to assure it would knock out the Binacle. Taking her fighting stance, she had waited for it to get up, but it only rolled down the small hill into the water, unconscious. "You go girl! You're on fire today!" Isabella cheered on, grabbing the other bottle and heading around the rocks to her Pokemon and dropping down enough to give her a hug, not worrying about hurting herself a little bit in the process. "When I get better, I want you to teach me to be that good! Ok.. maybe not jumping off of floating rocks good, but getting in shape and fighting basics might work. if that's ok with you! You don't have to if you don't have to." [break][break]

[attr="class","textie"]The pair had moved inward from the riverbank, trying to avoid a mess of random Pokemon that might show their faces if they had stayed to throw boulders at them or if they had decided to come after Isabella instead. For whatever reason they might decide to do that, she had come to find a more forested area this time. The shade kept the temperature down some which only let their water stay cool as well as the two of them as well. Of course, with the temperatures cooling down some soon enough with the change of season, she saw no need to really be worried about it soon enough. The worry then would be keeping herself warm as well as her other Pokemon.... which actually got her thinking. Would Teddy go into hibernation in the winter? Would it maybe help him to sleep the winter? No, maybe it was better to wait for now and then come back to it later on. [break][break]

As the two had moved through some brush and reached a small opening the section, she had noticed a large wooden box like object in the middle. It seemed to let people feed things like maybe berries or Pokeblock to draw Pokemon to it. It did look as though it worked a little too well. A small green turtle like Pokemon with an adorable little twig on his head had been butting his head at it and smacking at it with one of its front legs to try and kick something loose in it. Isabella noticed something else about this Pokemon. Along the shell was a large scar mark that looked as though it had a pretty harsh attack hit and injure it. "Poor little guy. He must be hungry. Wait..." She had a thought hit her in that moment. "Oh my gosh! I know that Turtwig!" She cried out, running over with her Mienfoo being rather baffled to say the least. As she got close, the Turtwig jumped and ran behind the wooden feeder, shaking. "Oh, no no. You don't have to be afraid! Hey, do you remember me?" She smiled, squatting down and smiling lightly, her arms stretched out to imitate something she'd done with before.[break][break]

The Mienfoo slowly walked over, looking on as she tried to understand what her trainer was doing, but she mae motions to assure the Turtwig that she had no ill intentions of attacking. When it came to fighting, Mienfoo was a very honorable fighter, enough so to refuse trainers orders to do so. The scared Pokemon looked to both the trainer and her Pokemon repeatedly before she had figured it must not remember from so far back. "Oh gosh. You must really not like people after that bandit guy from all those years ago. You don't remember me, do you... It's ok. You were tough as nails! You were the coolest Pokemon I'd seen as a little girl and the way you looked out for us is why we called you Gaia." The Turtwig immediately looked in shock at that name. "You do remember! Remember I was the little glonde girl with the Kimono? That really long blue outfit?" Her arms tried to show how she had described the outfit, and suddenly the Turtwig ran out and jumped on top of her, licking her face and nuzzling her. "Gaia, Gaia! It's ok, boy! I missed you a lot too!" She yelled, laughing happily. Sitting up, she pulled the Turtle pokemon onto her lap and began to gently run her hand down the shell, over the scar on it. "You know, if you want buddy, we can be good friends this time. I'm so glad you're safe and ok, and there's lots of other Pokemon who can help you out." She started to convince the Turtwig to agree and the Mienfoo had walked closer, starting to nod in agreement to everything, in so many words to add in her own experiences. "That bandit won't get us this time! We're too strong for a bully like that!" With a big, toothy grin, she had the Turtwig jumping to his feet, nodding and letting out a cry. "You will!?" Scrambling about for a ball, she had pulled out a blank Safari ball and opened it up, holding it out to the old friend. "I always told you we'd be a good family together back then, did I? Now I can make that promise to you for real." The Turtwig nudged the Safari ball and the red light enveloped it, sucking the Pokemon inside and twitching in her hand; once. twice...

[attr="class","textie"] The ball ticked in her hand, coming to a rest and putting a happy smile on her face. "Welcome to the family, Gaia." She spoke into the Pokeball, not really sure if that her old friend could even hear her or not. Giggling, she could hear the Mienfoo walking over and patting Isabella's shoulder. Looking over her shoulder, she rose up to her feet and reached toward her bag to put the Turtwig in her bag. Suddenly, the Mienfoo let out a cry as she collided with Isabella. Hitting the ground stomach first. Her bag spilled out, Pokeballs and all while she clutched her side in pain. The two balls that popped out of her hand and bag sent out her other Pokemon; Teddy and Gaia. The large bear looked down and immediately went to her aide. The Turtwig looked around as the Mienfoo he'd recently met was slowly getting to her feet, rubbing her head from being ambushed by something. As he focused his attention ahead, he felt something bite down painfully on his leg, crying out in pain.[break][break]

Looking down, a small ant Pokemon was biting down using Bug Bite. Shaking with anger and past flashbacks flushing through his mind, the Turtwig opened his mouth, biting down and picking up the Pokemon in his mouth. One after another, he bit down on the Pokemon before a screeching pitch caused the grass Pokemon drop him as well as both Teddy and the Mienfoo to clutch their ears from the deafening screech. Huffing as she could finally feel the pain subsiding, Isabella had been picked up by the Ursaring and as he dropped down to sit, placed the small blonde on his lap. "I'm.. alright, Gaia. You can win, I believe in you!" She smiled, though her lips quivered still from the pain that was leftover. His attention turned away for a moment, the Turtwig suddenly had felt the ant pokemon slam his head into his own and knocking him back, tumbling for a while until he finally caught himself onto his feet. Growling, the Turtwig began to glow, growing both in width and height until he had finished evolving before her eyes. With a loud cry, the grass Pokemon began to glow green this time with the sun surrounding the area and as the light settled, he glared at the Durant with a refreshed invigoration. "You got it, Gaia! Bite down on that ant with all your might!"[break][break]

With a nod, the nwly evolved Grotle charged at the Durant, dashing through the unbearable sound again. With a vicious chomp, the Durant screamed out in pain before it was tossed aside like nothing. Pressing his feet into the dirt, the Grotle was ready to charge in again, however Mienfoo tapped on the shell of the Grotle, snapping him from his angered rage. Realizing what he'd done, he sighed and apologized, to which both Pokemon gladly smiled at without any bother to it. "I told you~ We're all here for you. Come on over and I'll introduce you two." She waved for both of them to come together. Of course, the notion was towards acquainting Teddy and Gaia, since their stories of knowing the coordinator were nearly the same in a sense. It would be nice to know they share something in common.[break][break]

Turtwig +1 (Lv 31 --> 32) Evolution learned Crunch

[attr="class","textie"] A hand patted the large sitting bears leg as she popped up from the seat he gave her using his lap. Spinning around for a moment in a bit of pep and excitement, she had gotten between the two Pokemon and lifted her arms out toward both the Grotle an the Ursaring. "Teddy, this is Gaia! Gaia is an old Turtwig I knew when I had gone cross countries with mother for their regional shows. We spent a summer in Unova where he used to be from." Turning from the big, burly Pokemon, she placed her attention toward the turtle pokemon. "And Gaia, this is Teddy! He's the first Pokemon I had when I started out my path to being a coordinator. In fact, you two have a lot in common!~" She giggled and looked back and forth. "When I was little, I had helped save Gaia from this big bully of a bandit trainer that tried to attack him while we were playing with him. That's why he has that large scar along his shell. With Teddy, I found him lost in the burned tower one night being surrounded and attacked by a bunch of wild Pokemon. So between mother and I, we helped him get better and he wanted to stay with us instead of going back out. And honestly I'm still honored to call Teddy my friend!" Giving a close-eyed smile to the two, she had opened them to watch the two of them getting closer. They started to what seemed to be talk amongst themselves and with the lack of physical attacking, they had both seemed to be getting acquainted better than she'd thought. [break][break]

"Mien!" The calling out for her from the Mienfoo had Isabella look toward her. The smaller fighting Pokemon tried to point to her back as well as her trainers, but all it seemed to do was confuse the coordinator. "You.. want me to scratch your back or something?" She asked, turning to face the Mienfoo. With a decent enough angle, the two Pokemon sharing their conversation had looked over and their jaws dropped. Turning around to them, she noted their reaction but it just had gone over her head once again. "what? Do I have something in my hair? Did I step in some poo?" She checked her shoes and felt her hair through and through, but noth- ...She set her arms down, her arms shaking for a moment and then lifting one arm up again. She could feel something had been moving on her back with her arm, but there was no telling what it was. "P-P-P-Please t-t-tell m-m-me there i-isn't a s-s-s-s-s-spider p-p-pokemon on m-my b-b-back..." The look of fear on her face left the two silent, but suddenly the cry of a Joltik made her use her own form of a Screech attack. "AAAAAAAAAAAAAAAHHHHHHHHHHHH! GET IT OFF! GET IT OFF! GET IT OFF! GET IT OFF!" Isabella screamed, running around in a circle so many times it had almost seemed like she were about to form a tornado in the safari.[break][break]

As Isabella continued to freak out, running around, she suddenly could feel the that ground her feet were stomping on became as soft as the air. In fact, after a moment, she seemed to realize that she hadn't been running at all. Her eyes opened up and she had been face-to-face with Teddy whom picked her up by her shirt and held her there while gently plucking the sneaky Pokemon from her back. Converging toward the scene, Mienfoo and Gaia looked on as their trainer had probably the biggest freak out they'd ever seen. With one light roar, the blonde stopped and looked over as a small yellow spider pokemon climbed along Teddy's arm, then turning around to look at Isabella. Being released from Teddy's claw like a toy in a claw machine, she zoomed behind the Mienfoo, cowering from it while the others seemed to be fawning over it. Peeking out over her shoulder, she locked her eyes onto the foreign invader and she sighed. Standing up, she walked closer and examined the Joltik. "You.. don't look like a spider Pokemon... You're much too cute." Her head tilting side-to-side as she looked over this little creature, Isabella smiled and gave a small cry, expressing its thanks toward her compliment. "Totally too cute to be a Spider~ Hmm.. I know, lets try this..." She reached into her bag and pulled out a Safari ball, tossing it at the Joltik. It became sucked up into the Safari ball as it dropped down to the ground. Whether it would stay or not she wasn't sure about, but it wouldn't be the first time she had it happen in this place.

[attr="class","textie"] It didn't seem like much, but quickly the small grouping of Pokemon she had was growing quicker than she'd thought it would. As the small blonde looked down to her Pokeball that now held the Joltik she'd captured, her mind wondered if she could handle holding onto a Spider pokemon without freaking out in fear of it. A small sigh left her lips as she placed it into the bag that hung off of her shoulder. "I'll overcome this fear... I can do it..." She muttered, patting the bag and turning around to her other Pokemon, they looked as though they were having fun getting to know one another. It put a big smile on her face to see that everyone of them could be enjoying themselves so much so that they would even be laughing. As she had started to walk up, Isabella let out a sharp yelp, jumping and looking down. Lifting her left leg, she had rubbed where she was bitten by a random Pokemon. When her eyes settled down onto the culprit, she had realized that her attacker was nothing but a little Turtwig. "Now now. That wasn't very nice." She sweetly scolded, wagging her finger at the little grass Pokemon.[break][break]

The blonde girl had suddenly froze as a claw and large arm swung from behind her, whacking the Turtwig aside like they were swatting a fly away. As her head turned around to the attacking Pokemon, she had already known Teddy was the reason behind the attack and her body swung around, glaring at him. "C-Can you please next time not do that, please?" Her hands planted on her hips, she had tried to stick firm to her anger, but the light shaking of her arms showed she was still dealing with the fallout of her injuries. The Ursaring looked away, his hand rubbing against the back of his head, giving low growling sounds as though he were apologizing. "It's ok... I'm sorry I got mad... I know you were just protecting me." She gave a close-eyed smile. The blonde turned to face the Turtwig and pulled out her last safari ball and threw it at the Turtwig, sending it inside the ball to see if she would stay inside or not.
