Jaye stretched his arms well above his head as they looked at the road ahead. It twisted up and down through a mountain like area, cliff edges surrounding the sea as beach sat along the bottom. Not only that but an array of tree's lined the path as well - no doubt there could be some grass types to be found there. After all his ponyta could use some more training, he hadn't figured her habits out. So far though Jaye had gotten pretty good as deciding how she was feeling through her short subtle signs of joy or displeasure. To any normal person they were impossible to catch the pokemon utterly void of emotion it seemed in that sense. She was silent and didn't make much noise. Regardless he took MG towards the tree line. Stepping just inside as he pressed a hand against the tree trunk.
"Though I do suppose I should look for something to catch too." After all he couldn't just use a ponyta for a contest normally you used more than one pokemon. MG looked around, probably for an opponent as her hooves pressed into the dirt below her. Jaye could hear something too though. There was someone in the tree line with them, it wasn't like him to go intruding like others but he was curious because if he could find someone to do some pokemon hunting with maybe he'd have some more luck than what he had last time he was in the forest. Not that he complained, MG raised levels quiet a bit and her training was going quickly probably because of her militaristic nature.
"Excuse me?" Jaye called out as he approached the form with what seemed to be a pokemon? He could have been mistaken. Either way he wouldn't even know if he was talking to someone or a stump unless he got closer. MG protectively walked in front of him though, the fiery horse looking on with her seemingly soulless eyes as they went to confront the one that they were searching out to be a potential companion through all this.

" Char!" Jaye and the Ponyta accompanying him would approach a happy little Charmander munching away at a berry bush—little claws working away at the twigs holding the sweet and delicious treats for the rare Pokémon. Being slightly startled by the voice, the curious little orange lizard turned around to face the human and the Pokémon. Upon laying eyes on the Ponyta, Charmander was happy to see a fellow fire-type around, he waved with a friendly gesture, smiling, with a blazing tail moving from side to side to reflect a jolly nature. " Char!" He called out again, this time looking at Jaye extra hard, seeing if he recognized the face, but he didn't and thus turned back around to further munch away at the delicious berries. From foliage directly to the left of the rare fire-type, a boy worked his way out with a rather annoyed look upon that ebon visage of his. " Goddammit, bro!" The dark-skinned teenager grunted, picking sticker bush thorns out of his socks and shirt. " Do me a solid and stop runnin' off, aight? Tryna' chase after you is like trying to chase after a fat kid in a candy sh-." Words were cut short once Chance noticed the duo. Hazel hues fixed themselves upon Jaye. " Wassup? I hope bro here didn't cause you any trouble?" Chancelor says eyeing the still-eating fire-type. He shakes his head, " he'd eat himself into a coma if i didn't stop him. I thought I had a Charmander not a goddamn Snorlax!" That final bit is spoke loud enough for the hungry little lizard to hear, but he wasn't worried about such words—he was too enthralled in the sweet berries he was stuffing into his greedy little mouth. Before the stranger could say his peace, from the same foliage Chancelor came from, a little seed Pokémon followed behind the teenager looking awfully angry about something. The tiny Pokémon jumped up and down and tried to make itself look very mean and nasty. Chancelor cocked a brow while Charmander continued to get down on the berries, chanting a jolly tone as he did so. " This will be good trainin' for ya', bro. Look alive!" The teenager screams with an excited tone pointing towards the little seed keen on attacking at any second. " Char?" The rare fire-type looked around and saw nothing despite everything that was happening had been taking place behind him— but he was too busy being a fatass to even notice. Chance sighs, palming his face before turning towards the little fire-type and making it face the right direction with a little needed force. " Char!" The jolly Charmander calls out Sunkern, waving claws full of berries at the much smaller grass-type. " I get it; I really do, bro. You want to make friends, yeah? But now is not the time for that! Smoke em' with an Ember!" Chancelor calls out with another dramatic finger point towards the seed. Charmander does nothing but watch the Sunkern jump up and down. That is until seeds are ejected at the fire-type and some of his energy is sapped. The damage and energy drained is hardly anything to be concerned about, but it was still an unpleasant feeling to Charmander. With a swinging tail growing hotter with more intense flame. He rises to his feet and runs at the little seed Pokémon enraged that it'd attack him after trying to make friends and even share some of the berries found. A scratch followed by a brutal ember is all it took to send the weak wild Pokémon off to slumber land. " That is what i'm talkin' about, bro! Was that so hard, damn? C'mon... You can get back to your berries." " Char!" With hurried steps back, Charmander plants itself back down in front of the bush and begins to eat again. What he wasn't expecting to find was a fire lizard eating some berries on the floor. It made Jaye blink, as the trainer of said beast followed and MG was left staring at the Charmander. The trainer was indeed a rowdy one, hurting Jaye's ears slightly as he stood up straight and cleaned them out. He had a distaste for loud people, not that he was going to be unkind it just irritated him when someone had so much energy. Regardless - before he could say anything a tangela and Sunkurn had come out of the bushes. Exactly what he was looking for considering the circumstances. Though watching the charmander fight was a little sad. This Tangela was also very weak, making this a garentee'd easy win for MG. The emotionless fire type took a step forward already for the battle.
"Alright just hit it with a flame wheel, if it doesn't faint Flame charge and that should do it." Jaye said as the horse pounded her hooves against the earth. Fire began to spin at a rapid pace around her. Creating a wheel like vortex as the tangela looked vigilant, narrowing its eyes as if it didn't intend to be beaten so easily. A vine Whip released from its body but the fire burned right through it. The ponyta running towards the pokemon and hitting it head on with a force. The fire singing the tangela until it flew backwards back into the bushes. Probably easily done for by then. Making Jaye finally turn towards his new companion. "It's alright... maybe he's just hungry." he stated as he scratched the back of his head.
"My names Jaye, this is MG." he introduced himself and his ponyta partner. As the horse moved forward she stuck by Jaye's side, on with her usual uncanny valley expression as she was silent enough. The wake of her fire still crackling in the air as she simply stared emotionless at the new trainer.

Chancelor's eyes fell off the little orange lizard and leveled upon Jaye and the fire-type with him. The scarred hands of Chancelor were stuffed in the black and sleeveless hoodie her wore—the draw strings around the neck dangling ready to be tugged or snagged upon something. Charmander followed the gaze of the Trainer, turning around while on his backside, jaws working frantically at the sweet and juicy berries within the slow-roasting mouth of his. " Solid work," Chancelor gives a friendly compliment with the nod of his head, Charmander jolly as ever; mimicking the gesture with a toothy grin. " Bro here ain't really much of a fighter yet as ya' probably saw. Little man has a lot of spunk and even more heart, I'll make a beast out of him yet." The ebony skinned teenager explains, gaze drifting to the fiery pony beside the male he was talking to. " Your Ponyta, tho'. Pure elegance." He looks back at the unknown male, grinning his usually winning grin. " Your a Coordinator, huh?" Chancelor guesses, but as he did so Charmander calls out in warning, sharp claw coated in berry blood pointing towards yet another rustling bush. Charmander stands up with a burning flame unlike Chancelor has ever seen before. " You wanna' fight now, huh?" The Trainer figured it was because of the Ponyta, the sheer elegance of the attack captivated the little greedy heart fire-type. Chancelor nods and orders the orange lizard forward, authority behind his tone to teach the Charmander the importance of discipline and teamwork. Attacking the poor Budew with uncoordinated attacks but a lot of heart got the job done mainly because Budew isn't very powerful to begin with—neither Pokémon that appeared before the fire-types were, truth be told. Victorious from the god awful display, the orange lizard cutely threw his arms up and roared a jolly roar. Chancelor shook his head and put his attention back on the Trainer yet again. " He's a growin' boy so I let it slide, y'know? Don't wanna' be too hard on em' but at the same time I don't wanna' baby him. I'm McQueen, btw. Pleasure to meet you, Jaye and MG." Elegance, he'd never heard someone call her that. In which the new word made MG react as she turned to Jaye for a moment a puff of flame coming from her mouth. Jaye laughed, most others called her weird unsettling and went on to yell at Jaye for abusing his pokemon that they knew nothing about. "He'll be a charizard yet don't you worry." Jaye told the other about his charmander. Of course more grass types showed up - as Jaye looked to the Cherubi he again looked to MG. "Go on use Flame Wheel." he told her as MG turned towards the small cherubi. The pokemon looked rather innocent enough. As the fire engulfed the ponyta, it erupted outwards. Her target was to maim as her hooves planted into the earth and she took off running. The fire span into the grass type. The Cherubi in clear pain as the ponyta pressed onwards before the flame vanished outwards in a burst. The Cherubi in an attempt to get the ponyta off, used a rather forced Tackle. It did serve to push MG away from the tree, but MG was under strict orders.
"Hey MG don't go killing it please." Jaye called out in concern. His eyebrows furrowed, ahh great he had a pokemon with anger issue's to match. As she let out another flame wheel - less intense this time according to her trainers orders, the cherubi fainted and receded into the bushes with a roll. Jaye breathed in relief that she hadn't killed the pokemon. MG trotted back over to his side, lowering her head as if to apologize. "No you did good. Just less rough next time okay. I'll let you know if we need to be that rough." it was a good thing. He didn't doubt in war he'd have to use her like that. Yet at the moment the Johto region wasn't at war. Things were fine other than team virus which was nothing to worry about for the military for the most part. Regardless he turned back to Mcqueen. "Seems like we aren't getting all that much of a challenge today." he told him.

It was kind of ' unsettling' for the teenager to be utterly destroying these wild Pokémon without even so much of a real effort. This was good training for the jolly and playful Fire type, but at the same time, it didn't feel ' right'—almost like bullying to a certain extent. After the display of adorable showboating, Charmander faced his partner and awaited for approval. Chancelor may not have liked the training, but the little orange lizard was given it his all. The trainer grinned down at the Fire type, praising him for his effort, hard work, and obedience. " Chaaar!" Charmander calls out running over to the leg of Chancelor and hugging it tightly in a loving display of fondness. " That'll be somethin', huh? The little guy a big menacing monster. Funny how that works." He replies to the other Trainer, eyes upon the more disciplined Fire type. Ponyta made short work of the Grass type, similar to how Charmander did but with obvious more skill and poise behind the actions. Chancelor nods at the following words of the trainer, he too long sense realizing the scale of challenge was rather low today. " Facts. I don't know what it is. Feels kinda' wrong or is it just me?" Chancelor speaks in quick retort, airing the fact this was leaving him with a bad vibe—a vibe he didn't want for either him or his Pokémon; especially the young Charmander. That was until more rustling occurred. This time the rare seed Pokémon erupting from a bush, little red eyes upon Chancelor before shifting to Charmander. " Bulba! Bul!" It calls out, looking directly at the orange lizard with narrowed hues. Whatever was said in PokéTalk made Charmander furious. He detached himself from the leg of the trainer and took a few steps forward towards the Grass type. " Char! Char!" He points back to Chancelor while spitting little embers in a display of power. " Chaar!" Bulbasaur does what chance believes to be blatant laughter in the face of Charmander. " You alright, g?" He asks the growling Fire type, a burning tail burning almost like a wild fire. " Oh wow... You're really pissed? Aight' then, lets kick some ass." Chance points forward with authority while Charmander springs into swift action. The wild Bulbasaur does the same and the two engage in physical combat. Charmander scratches with sharp claws as the green powerful body of the Bulbasaur pushes him back in retaliation. The two are truly engaged in a battle and of almost equal power. However, Charmander held the advantage with typing and superior tactic. Both Pokémon were panting with physical exhaustion hitting them harder than the blows they gave. Almost like a timer going off in both their heads, both monsters charged forward for the final clash. " Hit em' with a Ember!" Flames ejected from the open mouth of the Fire type and seared the flesh of the Grass type for super effective damage. Charmander kept up the bombardment of flames until he was standing over the poor toppled Bulbasaur. " That's enough, bro. I'll take it from here!" The Poke Ball teetered in resistance before erupting with the rage of the Bulbasaur. Having broken free from the Pokeball, it uses Leech Seed in retaliation.

It seemed that they had gotten lucky. A bulbasaur had shown itself to his companion, Jaye wasn't too worried about catching it. Seeing how Mcqueen jumped into action made him leave it be, but when a Cacnea made itself known Jaye blinked. An odd pokemon, but one he could use for his competitions. It also was because he had no other pokemon on his team, it would probably be a good idea to add someone new. It just happened to be a cacnea lucky enough to run into him. Jaye cleared his throat and concentrated, "Easy now, Flame Wheel MG." the ponyta began to be engulfed in fire. Spinning in a forward motion, however she seemed to have a far better control of it than she had before.
The pony ran forward and the Cacnea was alert, hit head on by the flame it did deal a lot of damage but the cactus pokemon perked up in an instant. It released a poison sting at the ponyta, obviously hoping to poison the creature. It was not in luck though, the needles hit MG but as she recoiled the effects did not take place. "Tail whip!" Jaye called out as the pony wagged her tail in the face of the Cacnea making it move back as it used pin missile. Hitting two times as MG was forced backwards again. "alright now hit it with a Tackle and I'll have the rest." Jaye told her as she rushed forward and tackled into the prickly pokemon. Some of his spines stuck in her as Jaye threw the pokeball at the pokemon.
He watched as the ball hit the head of the cacnea and it got sucked inside. His attempt he didn't want to go in vain, he kept MG nearby just in case the cacnea escaped. Another tackle should put it over the edge without fainting it, he hoped.

Fingers twitched mildly as the Pokémon broke free from the two-colored sphere. Bulbasaur retaliated with a leech seed attack that sapped the energy from the Fire type—an last ditch effort to remain in the fight and best the duo. However, Charmander simply ignored the effort—the energy sapped hardly enough to keep the Bulbasaur going due to the massive typing disadvantage it had. Chancelor readies another PokéBall with focused hues. Charmander runs forward and delivers a few more scratch attacks to the still fighting seed Pokémon. The little thing had spirit, that much was for sure—it took a beating and kept on going with energy still left in the metaphoric battery. Bulbasaur, using what little energy it had left tried its hardest to fight back—thrashing about and snapping at the approaching and aggressive Fire Type. A few good hits were landed on behalf of the Bulbasaur, hits that made the Fire type leap back to regain some lost ground. Slowly raising to four feet, the seed Pokémon leered at both Pokémon and Trainer. chancelor took a quick glance at Charmander to evaluate how the little guy was doing. The Trainer took note of the steadily increasing panting, the fiery look burning in those eyes, the steam raising from orange scaly skin, and the slightly buckling knees. He didn't have much left in the tank neither, and it wasn't because of this Bulbasaur, but because the little guy hadn't pace himself properly throughout this little battle. Chancelor took a mental note of this fact, it would be something the both of them practiced on at a later date. " You're almost there. Just a little more, g. Get in close, try your best to evade all strikes, and hit em' with the heat!" With an exhausted bob of the head, Charmander launched himself forward and took the preemptive strike against the Bulbasaur. Seeds continued to sap what little energy he had left, but this wouldn't stop the determined Fire type. Once within range to strike, a tackle from the seed Pokémon wound be side-stepped with flawless execution. Following the dodge, fire spewed from the opened mouth of Charmander and bombarded the recklessly Grass type once again. In a similar position as last time, Charmander stood over the downed Bulbasaur and glanced over at the Trainer for further instructions. Saying nothing on Chancelor's part, both Pokémon and Trainer had a type of mental connection; both acting as one unit in their next string of actions. Once toppled again, the orange lizard pushed himself off little legs to leap back and allow the Trainer to do the rest. Over the head of Charmander the same looking sphere as before flew overhead and collided with the green body of the wild Grass type. In a brilliant display of red color, the little thing was snapped back within the capturing device.
