chancelor's first pokémon—a pokémon given to him by his father upon the start of his 'journey'. larvitar is the embodiment of valor and it shows in the way he battles. for something so tiny, he packs a wallop and is always looking to find the next pokémon to challenge and ultimately conquer with his unmatched strength. both larvitar and chancelor are extremely close—some would even say he babies the pokémon, but this is for good reason. if left to do whatever he wished, larvitar could go into a rampage and could seriously injury himself if his abilities and strengths aren't monitored. similar to how chancelor was at a young age, he understands and 'holds' the pokémon back if it can be helped. however, like chancelor, larvitar is a total bro and enjoys the simpler things in life. he inspires to be just like godzilla and mimics the king of the monsters whenever he cans. if the obsession over godzilla isn' indulged in moderation, larvitar will spend days binge watching all the movies starry-eyed.

'if there's one thing pikachu has taught me over the time we've been together. that is: i can be a real dickhead sometimes. like damn.'

pikachu is as much as chance as chance is to this pikachu right here. they both have the exact same mannerisms it is extremely uncanny and was pretty unsettling to chance at first. pikachu integrated himself among the others quicker than any pokémon before him due to the fact he acts so much like chance the others quickly warmed up to the crafty electric type. pikachu is very clever, scrappy, witty, and has a major case of narcissism ( sounds like a certain mcqueen, huh? ), that being said him and chance clash heads a lot, moreso than he has with any other pokémon he had captured or trained. though, the clashing only brings these two closer together in terms of friendship and partnership. as much crap chance says to the little yellow mouse, he holds the same amount of respect for him as he does all the other pokémon he trains. the same goes for pikachu, he really does enjoy the company of the others, and when he isn't butting heads with chance, the two truly do accomplish some pretty amazing feats.
