The Water type, an equally happy and curious Poliwag took the side of the Trainer, round eyes dead ahead with senses ever so vigilant. " Relax, g," Chancelor speaks to the overcautious Water type—a hand patting the head of slimy damp skin. " Bro and I got your back. Ain't that right, bro?" Charmander calls out with another jolly call, running forward a little upon hearing the wall of a wild Pokémon. This sudden call echoed through the deep tunnels of the dimly lit cave. Visibility wasn't zero, but it was pretty damn close—it is ill advised to venture within without a suitable source of light. Both Poliwag and Chancelor follow closely behind the curious Fire type, three sets of eyes looking around in attempt to pin point the mysterious sound. The teenager chuckles, excitement pouring from pores. He grins a toothy grin which exposes glistening pearly white chompers. " We ain't alone, fella's. Outta' make for a good excursion, right?" Charmander agrees whereas Poliwag wholeheartedly disagrees." If we're ever gonna' make it the Pokémon League we gotta' get through this cave anyways. Might as learn a bit of the layout before that day. Don't be such a Debbie Downer, bro." How come is it this Ranger always finds himself in a dark spooky area like this? Last time he was in the Ruins Of Alph basically another dark and spooky place filled with nothing but psychic type Pokemon ready to tear you apart as if the ruins turned them into ghost types for a second. It’s not like this Ranger is scared of the dark no sir. As a bodyguard you have to do everything in your power to protect your potion and being a scaredy cat an’t going to cut it!

With that being said Zeref lifted up his chest, his cheeks puffed with determination as marched his way right into the cave with his partner by his side well let me rephrase this. Let’s just say his Growlithe was lying on top of his head instead of in his arms. In all honesty Zeref doesn’t know exactly why his partner in crime wants to lay on top of his head. Normally this guy is in between his arms or walking by his side but this time this little guy chose a different spot. Perhaps it wants to be on top of the world and lying on Zeref’s head is the best place to do it!

Parsifal would lift up its paw pointing straight to the cave as if he was saying ‘March’! All you could hear was a little bark coming from Parsifal’s mouth, making Zeref roll his eyes at this strange sight. “Oh so that’s why you want to be up there! I see how it is well whatever I’ll let you be the watchdog. Keep me posted if you see anything!” All he got was a tail wag and it’s tongue sticking as a response. “I guess that’s a yes. In the darkness of the cave, overhead, the trio heard the very distinct call of a Zubat—little wings flapping ever so hard as the Bat Pokémon circled around them. Charmander aimed his tail higher to better see the beast, then all three of them saw the rather ugly looking bat; sharp pointed teeth exposed; bobbing up and down in place ready to strike at any moment. Poliwag, really wanting to overcome this ' fear' of the dark took a step forward and volunteered himself to face off against such an ugly monster. Zubat wasted no time and struck first, diving down upon the Water type in attempt to bite him with extremely sharp and powerful teeth. Poliwag, the ever so slippery one, easily evaded the attack the phenomenal footowork. Afterwards, in one fluid motion, he swatted the overzealous bat Pokémon away with his tail—the slap sending the wild Pokémon flying back, hitting a rock, with its body laying upon it; dazed from the sudden impact. Poliwag leaped forward, planted both feet firmly into the ground, an unleashed a jet of soapy, bubbly, and extremely wet bubbles from puckered lips. The torrent of water bombarded the Zubat and practically drowned it, rendering the poor aggressive thing unable to continue the battle with the Water type as the victor. Both Charmander and human praised the Poliwag for his efforts, smiles, words of praise, and good vibes all around this very dark and musty cave. That was until Chancelor heard something rather close—the sound of another human. Visibility was poor all around, but this newcomer would probably see the burning tail of the Charmander before they saw him. " Yoo! Anyone out there!" The teenager calls out, booming voice echoing through the musty and humid cave. Why is it so difficult to walk with Parsifal on his head? Zeref wondered to himself as he made his way through the cave. “Parsifal you need to go on a diet!” Zeref sighed underneath his breath knowing darn well his partner in crime will get on his ass for it and he was right! Parsifal snorted at Zeref’s remark and tried to whack him with his tail. “What it’s true heck I’m having a hard time keeping balance! Oh it looks like we’ll have to put this conversation on hold. I wanted to give Malice a chance to level up but it looks like that won’t be the chance.”

Parsifal jumped off Zeref’s head and landed right in front of him ready to take on the wild Nuzleaf that appeared out of nowhere. “Alright Parsifal you got this! It’s using Razor Leaf dodge and use ember!” Right on target Parsifal danced his way through the razor leaf, spinning on his paws and then jumping into the air to use ember on his target! The Nuzleaf got hit and was thrown back and since it’s a dark and grass type this is nothing! “Great work partner one more time use ember before it gets up!” Parsifal did exactly that jumping right behind the Nuzleaf and using another ember attack on the creature barely giving it any time to attack and BAM it fainted!

“Great work partner as always and you and your dancing skills. I really need to figure out what to do with those.” Zeref said while shaking his head however it was until then he heard a voice coming from a distance. This caused Zeref to lift up his head to see a bright light not too far away from him. “Oh it looks like someone is nearby! Let’s follow that light buddy.” Parsifal jumped on top of Zeref’s head as Zeref rushed down the cave heading straight towards the light, which can be a good thing and a bad thing. “POLO!” Zeref replied back!

" Chaaaaaaaar!" Charmander replied to the polo in a rather cute tone—the little orange Pokémon being drawn to the direction of the voice thinking they are now playing some kind of innocent game. The still nervous Poliwag followed closely behind the ' brave' Fire type—every now and again looking back to see if their Trainer was still following closely behind. Chancelor had half a mind to reply to the call, but seeing how Charmander took the liberty to do so in his place, the teenager sat back and was ready to embrace whatever the outcome brought from the shadows. Plus, Poliwag needed to get over this mild fear of the dark he has; the little guy has too much potential to be bested by something like darkness. Though, in hindsight, it was kind of adorable to see the little thing so nervous and alert—in the end this will only build to his character and make him that much more stronger. " Hold it!" The Trainer calls out to both Pokémon—both Pokémon stopping dead in their tracks with two sets of eyes directly ahead. Blocking the path stood a turtle with smog ejecting from flared nostrils. Obviously a Fire type that had been awoken from the thunderous call from earlier. Poliwag took a step forward, passing Charmander; already knowing this was his fight and his fight alone. Charmander cheered for his brother with Chancelor patting the orange lizard on the head lovingly. " You'll make quick work outta' this one, bro. Just stay on your toes and soak em' when the opportunity is there." Poliwag looks back only to nod a quick time before charging forward at the wild Pokémon. The fire tortoise withdrew into a smoldering shell before spinning wildly in one direction. Then, with all the gathered momentum from the spinning, flung itself forward at the Poliwag with full intentions on slamming into the determined pokémon. Being the evasive Pokémon Poliwag was, he evaded the strike with the utmost amount of ease; a simple side-step is being all it took. With eyes narrowed, he puckered up lips and ejected a heavy blast of soapy liquid bubbles at the turtling Pokémon. The jet-stream of water collided with the smokey shell of the wild Pokémon. At first it appeared no damage had been done until a wailing could be heard from within. Then, suddenly the Torkoal came from within the shell and began to thrash about, obviously drowning from all the water inside the shell. " That's enough!" Chancelor called out sternly, the Poliwag startled by the seriousness in the tone; only to stop instantly. The poor Torkoal coughed up a lung full of water before toppling over, bested by his one true weakness. " You won. It's over." Poliwag nodded, lifting his eyes off the defeated Torkoal and back upon the Trainer. " Know your limits, g. That one was close, alright?" Another nod from the Water type, head hanging low from what he believed to be a scolding of some kind. " Hey, none of that, bro. You still kicked major ass. Just realize you have a lot of power and it needs to be monitored at all times. I'm not mad at ya', I promise. Now lets go find our mysterious stranger." In an attempt to cheer up Poliwag, Charmander walked beside him to give all the light he possible could. " Chaaaaar!" Another call from the jolly fire lizard. Just as Zeref thought that light led to another wild type Pokemon and would you look at that it’s a Ponyta! Well shit fuck it looks like Parsifal is going to have a snag this one but then again Malice needs some love! Parsifal was ready to jump down to beat the shit out of the Ponyta until Zeref stopped him in his tracks. He lifted up his hand telling him to hold before taking out Malice pokeball. “I think it’s time to give Malice some love! I’m sending you out Malice!” Zeref threw his pokeball to send out his new partner in crime! The ghost Pokemon appeared right in front of him but when it did the Pokemon was wearing some sort of detective hat and a pipe. Wait when did his ghost Pokemon get those?

Zeref scratched his head wondering why his Pokemon have such a unique personality. None of this makes any sense well whatever it’s better than having a boring team or Pokemon trying to kill you 24/7. “Alright detective Malice are you ready to have some fun?” When Zeref pointed his finger at the Ponyta that was when the trainer realized it disappeared. “Eh where did it go?” Parsifal’s alerted bark made Zeref realized what was going on! The Ponyta has already taken the lead by jumping right above them getting ready to use the move FIRE SPIN. Oh shit this is bad he has to think of something and quick! “Detective Malice use PSYWAVE!”

Did somebody say DETECTIVE MALICE? Malice did another strange pose before twirling around in a circle then opened its mouth to launch Psywave right at the spinning fire of doom! The two attacks collided into one causing Zeref to cover his face from the dust that appeared afterwards! When the dust disappeared Zeref lifted up his head to see Malice floating right behind the pony type Pokemon. “Perfet Malice use CONFUSE RAY!”

Aha how did her trainer know that she was about to use confuse ray on this damn pony? Well it doesn’t matter she’ll leave that for another case! It’s time to unleash her secret technique! Right when the Ponyta realized what was happening the move has already made it’s effect! The CONFUSE RAY OF DOOM struck the Pokemon! The Ponyta spun around in a daze after this drastic attack and with that Malice was about to make her second attack until Zeref called it out! “Use Psywave!” [break]

How the hell does he keep predicting her moves? IS HE A PSYCHIC TYPE POKEMON? A loud gasping sound escaped from the back of Malice mind. Maybe Zeref is a Medium even better perfect or better yet maybe Zeref is a Pokemon in general AHA! Putting her 2nd case aside the Pokemon send out another beam of Psywave and it made contact! “Let’s try Astonish while it’s knocked out not unless you want to do Psywave again?”

Ooh she wants to spam Psywave! Astonish was never her strongest move in the book but hey you know what? It’s time to use Psywave once more and this time it looks like the Ponyta is going to try to hit her again with Ember! Malice giggled underneath her breath as she twirled away to dodge the attack then used Psywave once more! Right after the Ponyta tried to use Fire Spin but then time Malice hid behind the Ponyta to dodge the attack and used Astonish. This was when Zeref realized Malice seemed to be enjoying itself too much. It wasn’t surprising to see the Ponyta passout on the ground after all of that. “Man Malice you can be scary you know that? I’m glad we have you on our team good work! What do you think Parsifal?” Parsifal puffed his cheeks at this wishing he could’ve kicked its ass but whatever. Zeref shook his head before walking over to pet his ghost Pokemon on the head. “Good job now let’s keep moving you’re welcomed to join us of course! TO THE OTHER LIGHT!”

" Chaaaaaaaar!" The sound of a Pokémon battle echoed throughout the tunnel passage alongside the jolly call of the friendly Charmander. It appeared whoever this trio was after had a bit of wild Pokémon issues. Though, this back and forth calling between both parties probably didn't help whatever wild Pokémon slept in this dark cave. Despite all of Charmander's best attempts to cheer up Poliwag, Chancelor appeared behind the brooding little Water type, swooped it up off his feet, and held him for a bit. " If you're gonna' act like a baby, bro. I'll treat you like one!" The Trainer exclaims with cunning laughter, pinching the damp cheeks of the Poliwag. The poor Water type struggled and wiggled to free itself from the playful embrace of the Trainer, but he couldn't break free regardless how hard he tried. Poliwag enjoyed a good game and he enjoyed playful teasing, but when it came at his own expense, embarrassment quickly overcame him like a common cold. " Nah, son! Struggle all you want but I ain't lettin' your ass go until you stop being a stick in the mud!" Chancelor says with more laughter as he looks like he is fighting with a fish out of water Poliwag is wiggling and flopping around so much in protest. That was until a club bone whizzed past the head of Chancelor, bounced off a rock directly beside him, and went back to the owner he happened to be behind the trio. In the slight confusion, Poliwag managed to get itself free from the playful embrace of the human and land firmly upon the rock bed below. Once landing, Poliwag engaged in combat with the wild Cubone. Bone after bone would be deflected with jets of water from the Poliwag, keeping both Charmander and Chancelor safe from the hostile Ground type. When Cubone was catching the thrown club for the umpteenth time, a Bubblebeam slammed into it and sent it flying back into one of the many protruding rocks within this dark cave. However, unlike last time, once the Cubone hit the rock, the attack from the Poliwag ceased—he really didn't want to be scolded again. " Very nice, bro. Just a little off the top is all it takes sometimes, y'know?" A celebratory pat is given to the still cautious Water type. " Chaaaaaaaar! Char! Char! Char!" Chamander cries out to the stranger somewhere within the darkness, little tail wagging left to right in an attempt to make the light stand out even more. ✝ tag(s) - Zeref Sanders . ✝ notes - WILD ENCOUNTERS [O3|O3] . poliwag has grown +2 levels. bringing him up to level 18 . |

Getting through this cave is getting a little difficult now that a Rhyhorn decided to show up for the funzies! Shit that’s not going to be fun for Parsifal there is no damn way so he better let Malice take over for this one. Looking up at Parsifal he could tell the pupper wasn’t interested in taking this bad boy down so at least detective Malice has a shot on this one! Zeref turned to the ghost like Pokemon. “You got this Malice. This is going to be a tough one so make sure to stay alert.”

Detective Malice is on the case on again and it according to her trainer it looks like this is going to be a tough one but not on her watch! Nothing is tough for this detective and she knows darn well she’ll be able to take this thing down without a problem! “Malice let’s start with Psywave!” He would however on the other hand Malice spun forward heading straight towards the Rhyron however she wasn’t expecting it to attack it right away using it’s ROCK BLAST! Malice squealed and barely managed to dodge the attack! It sighed before trying to use Psywave onto the Pokemon and it looked like it made a hit!

Perfect but this isn’t going to be easy! The Rhyhorn tried to use Rock Blast again and it looked like Malice wasn’t able to dodge in time! She got hit and flew backwards but thankfully Zeref was able to catch her just in time. “Are you okay buddy?” Malice gave a slow nod before floating up ready for another turn. “Good job buddy! I know my instincts told me not to use CONFUSE RAY but let’s try it this time alright?”

Malice did exactly that using the power to confuse the Pokemon and it worked liked a charm! “Malice you know what to do!” Yes indeed she did and man she’s going to spam it like no tomorrow! She used Psywave once more landing a hit however when the Rhyhorn tried to use Take Down however since it’s a normal type move it did absolutely nothing thanks to her being a ghost type. Time to spam that move a few times and it looks like it worked like a charm and the Rhyhorn has passed out! Thank goodness for that Confuse Ray. “Good job buddy I’m so proud of you. Hopefully we don’t have to encounter anymore of those Pokemon so we can relax for a bit.”
