[attr="class","les"] T he ice path also known as the freeze cold of death is honestly Cody’s summer vacation! In other words yes this man loves the cold he would even live in the snow if he could however seeing how skin is would be rather difficult. His body can handle the cold very well but not for long. He’ll have to bundle himself with warm clothes to keep his body from freezing to death but in all honesty that’s the best part! The best part about winter is the winter fashion however this time that wasn’t the case. His outfit isn’t warm enough to stay in this blizzard cave for long but hey let’s see how long he can last shall we? His outfit was rather simple really a long sleeve white jersey with red, and blue markings on it. He wore a yellow scarf hanging loosely down his neck and yellow shorts to go with it. At least he has something to cover his legs aka his leggings but the problem is they’re light heck technically see through compared to winter clothing. [break] “Ah don’t you feel the cool breeze soaring right into your skin? It feels great doesn’t it?” Cody would say before placing his hands on his hip. “This is what I like to call summer vacation what do you think Palos?” Cody would turn his head but only to see his Pokemon shivering like no tomorrow. The Ranger couldn’t help but shake his head at this. “I guess that explains it.” He walked up to his partner, took off his scarf so he can wrap it around his buddies neck. Palos wagged it’s little before tackling his partner to the ground giving him doggy licks. “I guess that was all you needed! Yes this is it we’re here to train not just to fight wild Pokemon but also!” Cody would point his finger to the icy cool wind. “To learn how to tolerate this! We have to be prepared for anything and everything with little materials we have! " It's do damn cold..." The teenager says, lips cold, mouth cold, throat cold, everything cold. Accompanying him would be a sassy Pikachu, bundled up within the hoodie of the Trainer—a familiar yellow head with puffy red cheeks poking out every now and again. " C'mon... Get your ass out here and suffer with me!" Chance booms with a evil grin, digging into the front of his shirt from the top in attempt to pull out the electric mouse. Pikachu put up a valiant effort to stay snugged and protected from the bone chilling cold. In an last ditch effort to stay protected, the mouse zapped his own Trainer. Chance jumped from the sudden jolt, fingers going numb from the static ability of the Pikachu. " You're so evil. You goin' straight to PoékHell, my boy. No PokéHeaven for you..." Chance cries, strolling forward in the frosted icy cave. The shivering teenager glances around, feeling the Pikachu moving around in an attempt to get comfortable. Eyes go to the left, he sees nothing but a icy landscape that would lead to certain death if a human or even certain Pokémon got trapped within. Eyes then go to the right, the exact same landscape with the the only difference being a few icy boulders. This cave had been one of the few places Chancelor have yet to explore, so he figured it' be a good idea to get the lay of the land, but he didn't imagine it to be this cold in the middle of Spring. He had half a thought of summoning Charmeleon for some quick heat, but at the same time he wanted Pikachu to ' suffer' for being such a little shit. Obviously if things got bad he'd release Charmeleon—Chancelor always valued the safety of the Pokémon that accompanied him; even if they were little assholes like the overly sassy Pikachu. " Just keep movin'.... Keep goin'... Fuck you Pikachu. You ain't shit, my guy." [attr="class","les"] N ow that things have settled down it’s time for these two to do some training! What was the training you may ask? Well it was simple really all they have to do is sit on the snow for the next few minutes. Yeah that’s basically it becoming one with the nature is exactly what he’s trying to do. Even at some point in time Cody was shivering but not as badly as his Electrike. The electric dog was at some point sat on Cody’s lap while Cody continued to shiver like no tomorrow. [break] [break] “This is like nothing!” Cody would say wishing he grew up in the cold so he can tolerate this more. “We’re just getting started! I just hope I don’t catch a cold after this.” Cody mumbled while his Electrike agreed with him on that one. However after a few more minutes Cody finally gave in! He jumped to his feet with his arms stretched out in the air. “I can’t take this any longer! I wish I had fucking fur! I want to stay in the cold but I can’t because my body can’t tolerate it like that! This is annoying I want to go home and drink some hot chocolate!” Cody screamed while Palos rolled around the snow after getting knocked over by Cody. “Let’s go I’m over this shit!” Just when the young Ranger was about to storm out of the ice path, a wild Pokemon showed up however at first Cody didn’t even realize it was a wild Pokemon to begin with. The creature looked like a ball and was rolling straight at them! [break] [break] “Is that a snow ball? Oh shit run!” Cody rushed by his partner however instead of running with his partner the electric dog like Pokemon jumped right in behind of his trainer. “Palos get out of there!” When the ball got closer, the ball jumped into the air revealing it’s true form and then shot out WATER GUN straight at Palos! Palos quickly dodged the attack and when the Spheal was about to fall back to the ground he rammed right into it with TACKLE! Cody turned around to see exactly what was going on. “Oh it’s a Spheal! Nice job picking that up buddy and it looks like this one is ready to for a battle. Let’s give it everything we go.” In other words spam tackle since thunderwave won’t work on this thing how embarrassing is that? [break] [break] The Spheal was getting ready to make another move and Cody quickly followed. “Tackle again!” Palos rushed forward, jumping right behind the Spheal to dodge the powder snow attack and then hit the ice type Pokemon with tackle! The Pokemon spun tried to use water gun again but this time Palos got hit by the shivering cold water however it wasn’t that effective. “Wait a minute.” Cody remembered before pointing at his partner. “Use thunderwave!” Palos quickly shook it off before jumping right into the air and made a direct hit with thunderwave! The Pokemon spun around before passing out on the cold snow! “GREAT WORK!” Cody would say while Palos tried his damn hardest to get rid of the cold water off his fur. Cody picked him up and placed him right inside of his jersey to keep him nice and warm. “You did great buddy I’m proud of you. Frozen toes marched onward, ears stinging with pain despite having hardly any feeling in them. Chancelor began to slowly raise up his hoodie in a futile attempt to protect his head from the bone chilling breezes passing through these iced over tunnels. As he did this, out the corner of a hazel eye, he noticed what looked like a floating rock. An eyebrow cocked and his head stiffly turned in the direction in which he noticed the strange event. Upon fully turning, he laid squinted eyes upon a Pokémon who seemed unaffected by the gripping cold. Envy warmed the blood of the teenager—the unholy things he'd do for some real warmth right now. He could have easily called upon Charmeleon and ended the strife he and Pikachu were going through, but that was an easy way out and a McQueen never took the easy way out of any given situation. Another floating rock past the face of the Trainer snapped him back to reality, the cold resisting wild Pokémon now having both Chancelor and Pikachu surrounded by a bed of levitating boulders. " Uh... Pikachu, a little help here ya' bitch!" Chancelor calls out to the now napping Pokémon within his hoodie. The boy frantically began dodging the boulders now being flung in his direction—martial-arts training ensuring he was capable of doing so without getting hit. Still, movements were extremely stiff from the intense cold slowing him down. The Trainer dug into his sweatshirt from the collar, grabbed the tail of the electric mouse, and literally threw it at the Wild Pokémon attacking both of them. " Get your useless ass out there and do something you freeloading fucker!" Chancelor booms with Pikachu flying at the Pokémon. The yellow mouse quickly catches himself mid flight, lands directly on the head of the wild Pokémon and taunts it in PokéTalk. After the rather rude taunt, he leaps off the head of the now enraged monster and comes to a sliding land directly in front of Chancelor. " Now you went and pissed it off. Tch. Here it comes." Chancelor says ordering Pikachu to get ready to dodge the reckless charge by the wild Pokémon. It charges forward with head hanging, with full intentions on ramming the extremely hard shell into the yellow mouse. With a cocky grin, Pikachu took the stance of a matador and awaited for the monster to get closer before evading the blow at the very last possible second. " Pika!" He taunts more with a hand clap. The wild Pokémon took massive recoil damage by slamming head first into a slab of ice. Dazed, confused, and hurting, Pikachu took the chance to strike and did just that. Quick Attack after Quick Attack made short work of the resistance Pokémon. It took a beating in a half due to it's typing, but it mattered not if it couldn't hit or keep up with the obviously much faster and cunning Pikachu. After about three minutes of this, it toppled over in defeat; surrounding with cries of misery. Pikachu ceases his attacks only to taught the poor Pokémon one more final time—this time stepping over it as he makes his way back over to Chancelor with slow strides. [attr="class","les"] T hat was a tough battle and he knows his partner is colder than ever. What do they say about keeping something warm? Cody thought while tapping his chin at this saying he doesn’t seem to remember anything about. Just then a Delibird walked up to them handing them a present. This caused Cody to tilt his head at this strange creature before bending down to his knees. “Is this for me?” After a slow nod from the bird like creature, Cody couldn’t help but to place a smile on his face. “Thank you I appreciate it.” Right when Cody opened the box BAM! “Oh shit!” Cody cursed before getting sent flying backward with Palos flying right into the air and landing head first into the snow! “Owe owe owe.” The male moaned before slowly sitting himself upward. “What the fucking hell?” In a far distance the Delibird was laughing his head off at their performance and right then and they’re all you could hear was Cody hissing as if he was turned into a dog like Pokemon. “You bastard I’m going to catch you for that!” Cody would say while pointing his finger at the pathetic little bird. “You’re going to regret messing with CODY SPENCER!” The bird yawned before fleeing away from the scene causing Cody to gasp underneath his breath. “HOLD IT RIGHT THERE YOUR UNDER ARREST!” Oh why the hell did he say that? Perhaps it’s because he’s been dying to say it for so long! Anyways enough of that foolishness they have to catch that prankster and make them pay for what they’ve done! Cody grabbed his partner then ran right after the Delibird. “STOP!” The bird turned around to stick its tongue out before giggling once again! All you could see was Cody grinding his teeth before tossing his Pokemon into the air. “Thunderwave that bitch!” He said while tossing his partner up into the air so it can THUNDERWAVE that bastard but the Delibird knew exactly what they were planning. The Delibird spun around in circles to dodge the attack while giggling like no tomorrow. Cody hissed before catching his partner however once he did he got himself into a pitching like position. “You’re not going to get away this time! When his partner chucked him Palos was squealing and the squealing caught the wild Pokemon’s attention however it looks as if the Delibird wasn’t expecting this either! The bird flailed around and then BAM! Palos rammed right into the Delibird and once the dog realized the reason behind his owners pitch the dog surrounded itself with electricity to hit the bird with THUNDERWAVE! The bird squealed while getting rammed right into the wall before passing out onto the ground! Stiff steps from the Trainer brought the duo to a ledge with a railing that overlooked the entire cave. From the height in which they stood, everything looked so beautiful and natural—untouched by man and the influence they carry. Despite being extremely cold, the view made the Teenager smile—Chancelor could always appreciate and would always appreciate both a spectacular view and real natural beauty. Pikachu could feel the Trainer had been stationary for a little longer than normal. So, the yellow mouse peeked from the hoodie and beheld the sight for himself—the view also captivated the Pokémon. " A damn shame a place so pretty is also pretty damn cold." Pikachu nods in agreement before crawling out of the hoodie and positioning himself on the shoulder of Chancelor. Still grinning from the fleeting moment, Chancelor turns around only to be face to face with a Swinub—eyes bouncing from Trainer to Pokémon with a little pig snout smelling the surrounding area. " Another one resistant to your attacks? We're just getting unlucky today, huh?" Pikachu shrugs nonchalantly before leaping off the shoulder of the teenager. The agile Electric type flips in the air a few times before bringing a heavy tail down upon the wild Pokémon—a brutal Slam attack that made Swinub cry in pain, shock, and annoyance. Like a raging bull, the little thing charged forward with a tackle. Pikachu evaded the reckless charge and chased after the enraged Pokémon. Once within range, he'd strike in flash utilizing the amazing speed at his display. The Quick Attack slammed into the Swinub and made is cry out again. In retaliation there was another tackle, this one hitting the Pikachu who managed to guard an nullify a large amount of the damage. However, the strength behind the attack was enough to send the little yellow Pokémon sliding backwards a few feet—dragging feet marks in the ground as a testimony of Pikachu attempting to hold his ground. With a cocksure grin, Pikachu speaks to the Swinub—tossing an insult or two in the Pokémon's direction that did nothing but make it more enraged. Another reckless charge from the wild beast with a head hanging low with full intent on running Pikachu over. Glancing over at Chancelor, Pikachu gave the trainer a quick thumbs-up before springing into quick action. He charged right back at the Swinub, however, before two bodies collided, Pikachu took to the air right above the Pokémon. After the quick leap, like a heavy rock, he dropped back down with his tail slamming right across the snout of the wild ice boar. [attr="class","les"] A fter getting zapped away by his Palos, Cody couldn’t help but to slowly crawl his way over to his partner begging it for forgiveness however it doesn’t look like that’s going to be the case and not for a long time. With Palos on edge Cody knows darn well it’s going to be difficult to fight a wild Pokemon if this keeps up. “How about this why don’t I take you to your favorite place in the world?” Electrike lifted up its head at this however it refuses to fully turn around to face him. “You know what I’m talking about those delicious sweets you enjoy very much. I’ll make some for you once we leave the cave how about that?” The electric Pokemon wasn’t budging and Cody knew right then and there he has to go into phase 2. “I’ll put your favorite topping on top what was it now whip cream with a cherry on top?” Cody narrowed his eyes with a smirk on his face after seeing Palos tail lit up. “I’ll make you a half a dozen of those delicious sweets you enjoy so much and I’ll put extra whip cream on top! So how about it huh will you accept my deal?” Just when he was about to accept his answer a present appeared right by their side wait… a present? BAMMMM! “Palos are you alright buddy?” Cody would say after protecting his little pupper from the attack. Palos looked up at him with a worried look on his face causing the young trainer to place his hand on his head. “Don’t worry about me I can handle shit like this. It looks like that bird wants revenge even after that amazing knock out we did huh?” He would wince his eye to ignore the slight pain before slowly lifting himself up to see the Delibird they’ve beaten up not too long sitting on top of a hill holding up another present as if it was ready for another surprise attack! Seeing how this was coming, Cody picked up his partner to dodge the attacks however at one point he ended up slipping and falling on the soft fluffy snow. “Shit what’s up with that thing?” Palos made his way over to his partner licking him on his cheek. “I’m fine buddy I swear.” However the two of them know darn well they have to do something about that Delibird before they get into even more trouble that was when that thing showed up a Pokemon he’s been dying to catch for some time now. A Sneasel was trying to make it’s way up the cliff and it would turn it’s head back as if the dark and ice type Pokemon was trying to tell him something. This made Cody stare at it for a few seconds before giving a slow nod at the Sneasel. Is it trying to tell me to distract it for it? Cody thought to himself before turning his head to his partner. “It looks like we’re having spaghetti tonight buddy!” Palos looked at him in terror while Cody continued to use their secret code name. On the other hand another present was sent flying at them and the two of them ran around in circles dodging the attack. Meanwhile on the other hand the Sneasel finally made it’s way up to the mountain at last! It would slowly crawl up to the bird type Pokemon before BAM! Cody turned his head to see the Delibird screaming as it fell down from the cliff however once it did the bird turned into a ball of snow and you know what that means. “Oh shit!” Cody grabbed Palos before jumping out the way to dodge the rolling snowball as it made it’s way down the long narrow path and finally crashing into the wall! Cody sighed underneath his breath but he refuses to fall for that rick again! “Quick you two let’s run!” The three of them ran out of that area as far as they could down the Ice Path. “What the hell is up with that Delibird?” Cody would say while the other two shook their head wondering the same exact thing. The Ranger would sigh before bending over to the Sneasel. “I know you probably had reasoning for taking on that Delibird but I still want to say thank you. I wanted to ask if you’re interested in joining our team? We could use a powerhouse and a sneaky little guy like you. What do you say?” The Sneasel smirked before lifting up a Pokeball. “Wait when did you steal my pokeball?” DING! The pokeball opened absorbing the ice type Pokemon into the ball and all you could see was the ball rolling left and right. " Good stuf-," words interrupted—shards of ice flying into Pikachu's direction from the upper level of the icy cavern. The little electric mouse found himself bombarded with sharp shards of icesaid shards breaking once they make contact with the fur and skin of the Electric type. Pikachu winced in pain, jumping to evade a few of final pieces of ice being slung in his direction. From above, the Pokémon sent a jolt of thunder up in the general direction the sneak attack came from, only hitting a frozen stalactite. However, upon hitting the sickle, a black blur leaped from one to another, both human and Pokémon only caught a little glimpse of the blur, but something was certainly up there. " Zap it again, bro." Chancelor orders, hazel eyes focused keenly on the rocks above. Again and again Pikachu sents jolts of thunder to the hanging rocks above, and, like the first time, a swift black mass continued to traverse them one by one whenever the jolt of thunder came in its general direction. That was until Pikachu nailed the thing with a thundershock—the black blur's pattern becoming predictable after awhile. Then, quickly, a Pokémon dropped to their level below, landing on twin legs gracefully with extremely sharp claws primed and ready to be used. " A Sneasel? Y'know, that makes a lot of sense. These things are pretty crafty and cunning Pokémon." Chancelor grins, the bone gripping chill no longer hitting him in the middle of this exciting discovery and soon to be battle. " Looks like we found a Pokémon that'll be able to keep up with ya', bro. You ready?" Pikachu nods before taking the preemptive strike himself this go round. Both Pokémon engaged in combat—both we're extremely fast, agile, and cunning fighters. Sneasel attacked with speed, ice, and claws, whereas Pikachu attacked wtih, electricity, and while utilizing momentum. Both Pokémon were equal in terms of strength, trading blows that hit much harder than the last. A yellow tail would collide with sharp claws and both Pokémon were sent flying back to their respective sides only to reset the momentum of the battle. Two exhausted Pokémon looked deadly at one another, this next strike would undoubtedly decide the winner of this little battle and both Pokémon accepted and knew this fact. If Chancelor would have blinked, the next engagement would have been missed—Pikachu attacked with Quick Attack whereas Sneasel attacked with more Ice. Each Pokémon ended up trading their respective sides, both standing back to back in typical dramatic fashion. Three seconds pass, three seconds of silence. That was when Sneasel collapsed forward, defeated, with Pikachu as the victor.
