From the very corner of her eye, Vivian could see it - the briefest flash of pain in the man's deep emerald gaze. She had...forgotten about his injury, honestly. And yet, that only served to irritate her even more. Why the hell would he save her then if he was injured himself? All he did in the end was cause himself more pain - it didn't make sense to the girl. Perhaps she couldn't fathom that not everyone was as cruel hearted as she...but, somewhere deep in her heart, she did perhaps feel a bit...grateful? The idea of another putting themselves in harms way just to help her out was a foreign concept. Most would've been delighted to see her getting ran over by a rhyhorn - and, at one point, she was positive this man was one of them. But...maybe not?
Tch - now wasn't the time to even think about stupid things like that anyway. No - she had a rhyhorn who needed to get shown its place...Once that damned kabuto stopped being annoying as hell, that was. Thankfully, it seemed the silver haired man had came through - despite his own injuries, as the sporadic, annoying mudshots stopped. That meant that both she and Asta could focus on the task at hand.
"Asta - keep it on the ropes! Don't get thrown off just yet - use screech!" She commanded the larvitar, who looked a bit nauseated from the wild, rampaging stony pokemon he clung to. Despite this, he heard his trainer's orders loud and clear. From where the rhyhorn wildly bucked about, Asta would scuttle forward, hanging onto its neck before releasing a piercing cry near its ear. The rhyhorn let out a loud bellow of pain from the painfully high pitched noise...And, instead of making it chill the hell out...it just pissed it off even more. The larvitar went flying with a sudden, powerful buck, his body hitting a cave wall none too gently as the pokemon let out a cry of pain.
"Asta- endure it!" It didn't help that the rhyhorn came charging in and after the larvitar immediately after it threw him off. The sharp horn of its nose glowed brightly as it charged, ramming its head into the defenseless pokemon with immense force. It was enough to shake the entire cave once more in a very violent tremble. However, the wellbeing of the cave was the last thing on Vivian's mind upon seeing the bruised, battered state of the larvitar as he tried to stand.
Asta used screech! The wild rhyhorn's defense was sharply lowered!
The wild rhyhorn used horn attack! It was a critical hit!
Seeing Asta struggling to stand - seeing him in so much pain...it was clear that even Vivian, as tough and harsh as she was, struggled in not running out there to save him herself. The torn look was as clear as day on the young woman's face - it hurt to see her pokemon like this. And yet - there he was, trying to remain strong still. The calm, supportive voice of her 'companion' was all but missed by the girl. Or rather, she heard it...and it began to make gears churn in her mind. 'Calm' wasn't really an option right now...And while, sure, she could've called on the man for help, she didn't want that - and she was sure Asta didn't either. This was their fight. "We got this," she partially snapped at the man before looking back towards her injured pokemon.
"Use earthquake." It was a risky move - yes. Especially with the way the cave was moving about, but...This was their only option. And sometimes, you had to be a bit risky to get what you wanted. Vivian was fully ready to take that risk - and she was sure Asta felt the same was, as he merely nodded. This was their fight, and they weren't going to lose.
A heavy foot stomped onto the ground, harshly shaking the cavern around them. The ground trembled, splitting apart even and causing stones to jut from the ground. The rhyhorn had no where to escape - no where to run, and as soon as the fearsome attack hit, it was down and out for the count. And that should've been the end of it...right?
Astaroth used earthquake! It was super effective!
The wild rhyhorn fainted!
Wrong. "See, I told you we had thi-" The girl couldn't even finish her snarky, victorious reply nor own up to her admittedly rash, and stupid, decision. In that brief moment of silence, the cave began to tremble once more - however, this time, it was more than just a warning.
"Fuck - move!" Was the only words Vivian was able to get out towards the man before things got dangerous, and rocks started falling.
