Mission Description: Scheduled to knock down a condemned building today, but a family of Starly have made themselves a nest on the roof. I don't care if you move the nest or throttle the damn things, but they need to go and they need to go now.[break]

Was it safe for people to traverse to the top of a building to evict a group of pokemon that was not doing any harm to anyone. Both questions left Ares with much to think about as he headed to the building that was designated to be knocked down, and a matter of fact before the company could even so a flock of Starly had made the building its nesting ground. Perfect. This was just what the docter had ordered.

Ares had accepted the job knowing it was to be a 2 man job despite not knowing what sort of sane or deranged person he was soon to be paired up with. Needless to say he was not particularly fond of the idea going up so high, and the only reason the fool actually accepted was to see whether these bird type pokemon would tickle his fancy. Needless to say this job acceptance was more on a whim than anything else.

Reaching the building, Ares had to wait for his partner and the benefactor to show up. Lateness was something that definitely irritated the young man and there was not many things that did. Standing at the gate that surrounded the soon to be demolished building, Ares was coolly waiting when he looked up at the sounds of flock of starly occupying the roof.

Pedestrian work, but a good opportunity to at least study a few bird pokemon. While he wasn't so keen on destroying a pokemon's habitat or even more its home the notice made it clear that the clients really didn't give half a damn if the tower went down with the flying pokemon still in it. With the idea of peacefully removing the flying types, that said if the man had to use force then he would without question if only for the greater good. knocking one or two of the birds out now was definitely better than having a building collapse on them. Something that the trainer could speak of from experience now.
He'd arrive at the construction site in question a little after two in the afternoon carefully avoiding any of the larger machines and workers on the site. He'd notified the boss of the operation I.E the client and was now was watching the site itself as he strode up. Standing at the gate of the building was a rather strong looking man around his own age, no doubt the trainer he'd be partnered with. He didn't exactly look like the kindest fellow, but then again neither did the white haired researcher.
Dressed in a simple white sweater and slacks the darker skinned trainer would approach eyes flitting from his partner to the site in question. "You don't seem like the type to frequent abandoned buildings, so I'd say it's fair to assume you're my partner." The trainer would offer his hand hoping to get introductions with as soon as possible the silver-haired researcher all the while still attempting to get a read on the man.

The trainer was definitely of the relaxed sort his greeting giving off quite the 'mellow' vibe if nothing else. Still the darker-haired trainer would shake his hand commenting on Azad's own greeting. The silver-haired researcher would choose to forego the conversation the comment led to, as the man was indeed going for his Ph.D, but it wasn't information he felt was privy to everyone he encountered. Still if the man thought as much the future professor was definitely doing something right. And so he'd offer his fellow trainer a short smile, "Noted." Just as Azad was about to answer the man's next question the site boss showed up looking the two boys down as if she was deciding their worth.
She kept the explanation short and sweet, in all honesty she seemed more ambivalent than stressed about the whole affair. Beat them up, convince them otherwise. really she couldn't have given less of a shit about the birds as long as they were gone. Honestly the researcher could understand her position, and so he'd simply nod to the woman keeping their interaction brief.
"Understood." And with the gate unlocked the two would begin their ascent up the building. "Apparently all the birds have gathered on the roof. Some are stronger than others, but it shouldn't be too much of a problem. Just stay on your toes, because the building itself is on its last legs. Meaning the floors aren't as strong as they used to b-" It was just as he spoke that the man would step on a weak board the weight of his foot collapsing through it. Yeah, I don't believe taking the stairs is the wisest option. The man only grumbled as he pulled his foot out through the new hole.

"When there's a will there's a way" The professor would pull a pokeball from his belt lazily calling forth his primary partner, the Metang appearing in a flash of red its eyes wandering eventually falling on the black haired stranger. Sensing the pokemon's interest Azad would explain examining the path to the second floor. "An acquaintance Aros, and one we'll be assisting today. Emerald eyes would turn to Ares try not to panic it should make the ascent a little easier.
Azad would smile at the man before turning to his pokemon. "If you would my friend." the steel type would emit a sort of metallic grunt signalling his willingness before the steel type would pick up its trainer allowing the man to sit on its head, before using it's psychic to pick up Ares albeit a bit awkwardly. Despite the rather odd positioning of his new acquaintance the trainer would continue the conversation as if nothing had changed there was no doubt Azad was used to this setup by now. " So were you raised in Johto Ares or is this only a destination for your journey?" his voice was rather lax as Aros carried the duo up to the second floor the steel pokemon grunting upon their reaching the top of the first staircase only for something to attract the steel pokemon's attention almost immediately upon arriving.
In the second floor hallway two pokemon sat preparing themselves for battle the first of the starly simply watched the two trainers as if daring them to step forward and encroach further upon the territory the flying type pokemon claimed. Azad would hang back for the moment eyes focused on Ares and how he'd handle the situation. Whichever approach the man took Azad would simply follow.

With Azad riding upon his own pokemon Ares' body did not feel like his at all, his 6'1" frame at this moment in time caused him more discomfort than any sort of benefit that being tall could give you. Slowly reclining back Ares began to take on his cool, calm demeanour after he had gotten a bit more used to be suspended mid air.
With Azad continuing the conversation they were having before briefly splitting up in trying to find ways to rise up the floors, Ares sat back up again, this time with a lot more control. " I guess you could say that, a 'destination amongst my journey.' I actually come from Hoenn; born and raised as a matter of fact." Ares did consider talking more about it, but the likely hood of someone actually knowing where the locale he was on about was extremely low. "And what 'bout you?" Ares was fairly interesting in this guy especially since he had an evolved form of beldum. Azad was the first and only person Ares has actually met who has seen or known anything about this pokemon.
Feet back on solid ground was felt like blissful as Ares whilst trying to play it off, hated the feeling of weightlessness. Walking forward into the hallway of the second floor, he did notice two starly that had to be removed from the place, gkaring at the two of them as if they had invaded their territory. The moment Azad stated that they would attack the moment they stepped forward anymore, Ares stopped dead in his tracks.
"Well shit then, guess we cant roll through having the easy way." Grabbing the Lilith's pokeball, he threw out the ball knowing full well that once he did so, a full fledged battle would occur. As the small fire bird came into the open, both bird pokemon rose, flying on the spot, but it would not take long before the more impatient of the two growled at Lilith. Scoffing at the idea that this other pokemon could do anything to her, she released a flamethrower straight at the culprit, knocking it down back to the ground.
'Please. Dont be growling at me now' The sassy statement that Lilith made would only infuriate the downed pokemon whilst the other watched and seemed to direct its attention at Azad and his pokemon. The wild starly not particulary happy at the attitude it had recieved from Lilith, used a quick attack that directly hit Lilith knocking her back to Ares' feet.
Facepalming himself, Ares knew exactly what was going to happen if he did not step in. "Alright Lilith calm down, we can do this together." Reassuring his pokemon was something new to him but, he did not want to see her get hit like that again. With Lilith scurrying back to the battle field, where the pokemon awaited mid flight again. "Okay lets start of with flamethrower again." Erupting a large flame from the small pokemon was a start but the move only failed to connect as the starly started darting around the place, before using quick attack once again, however being someone that like to believe he wouldnt fall for the same thing twice, he forsaw this coming and had prepared otherwise. "Mirror Move!"
What happened next was a strange phenomena, that even Ares did not anticipate. Lilith had summoned a mirror in which a white bird flew out and crashed into the oncoming starly, causing it crash to the ground. Confused but not wanting to lose the opportunity to win the battle, "Flamerthrower, Quickly!" The steam of fire being directed to the starly currently laying on the ground connected causing a small smoke cloud to erupt, however once it had cleared, the said pokemon was not moving. For now Ares would take this victory but he would need to investigate what had just happened with Lilith and Mirror Move.

Wary, and interested to watch the black haired man deal with the situation Azad would hold his hand up a signal for Aros to standby as the golem's body tensed preparing itself for combat if combat was necessary. And it seemed like it was Ares wasted no time calling out his pokemon a small fire type native to the hoenn region before ordering to launch a flury of flamethrowers out at the bird pokemon immediately causing stress for the researcher. Using flamethrower in already such an old building was more than an unnecessary risk and so a bit irked by the opposing trainer's choice in attack Azad would immediately call Metang forward. "Use Psychic to redirect the flames."[the torchic couldn't seem to hit the flying type making the situation even harder to control. Still metang's eyes would glow blue as the released fire would begin to curve and bend the flames making sure they didn't stick to any surface. "Redirect them into the opposing starly." Almost like a whip of sorts the fire would continue to bend and snake around the room as the flying pokemon attempted to dodge precise flame whip using it's wing attack causing a fair amount of fire to fade away. While the starly was able to stop a lot of the flame with its defense the pokemon will still find the fire colliding with its body eventually before metang would guide the rest through an older window allowing the remaining fire to dissipate on the outside.
The only remaining trace of the fire would be the windowsill of which the flame was released, embers and smoke rising from the opening. While Metang focused on the fire the second starly would attempt to attack the steel type unleashing another wing attack, and even a tackle, but the pokeon's solid defense was simply too tough for the pokemon to make any kind of real difference.
With the threat his partner unleashed on the two taken care of the trainer would only now focus on the enemy that really was more of a minor annoyance. "Try to take it easy knock it out with Zen Headbutt." And so the golem complied psychic energies surrounding it's body as it slammed into the flying pokemon. Even holding back significantly the starly quickly fell to the attack. With both pokemon unconscious the silver-haired trainer would shoot a glare to his partner.
He'd answer the man's question concerning his own home and birthplace later, there was something more urgent to talk about. "What prompted you to use flamethrower in a building that's already prepared to crumble?" An eyebrow raised he'd give the man a chance to explain his reckless attacks arms folded waiting for a response.
"Metang, collect the unconscious pokemon we'll need to bring them outside. We can't let them be here when the tower collapses." The pokemon would begin the retrieval process while Azad still waited for his answer,

His partner for the time being for this mission seemed more than displeased with Ares. In fact it could be said he was rather irritated about the fact that Ares had been extremely reckless in the battle that had just occurred. Ares, smiled at Azad's question which could easily be taken the wrong way, smug or nervous it was down to how Azad interpreted it, but Ares just thought he was doing the right thing by taking them down quickly, but apparently not. "Thought it would of sped up the process of dealing with 'em. Ya know..." Ares watched as Azad's metang collected the downed pokemon. "You need a hand in collecting the pokemon?"Ares himself was fairly inconsiderate, and did not actually think of collecting the downed pokemon, but heck he might as well give Azad a hand whilst he was doing it. However one thing did come to his mind when dealing with this was the trouble they would actually go through in order to rid the tower of the bird pokemon. "I hope we get rewarded for our troubles.. They failed to mention the birds would be territorial and attacking anyone.." The latter statement was a throwaway comment that Ares did not expect Azad to respond too.

Azad dissatisfied with his answer would move a hand to the bridge of his nose pinching it, he was unsure if his partner even understood what the consequences of his attack could have been, and while Azad definitely appreciated promptness when it came to his job it wasn't something he'd sacrifice safety over, at least not when the stakes were so low. It was an unnecessary risk, and one he wouldn't tolerate from the man regardless of how relaxed he was.
"No fire attacks." the professor would almost order simply figuring this was the best way to get his point across without impeding their progress too much. Perhaps a please at the end of the statement would have made it more tolerable, but one wouldn't be found in favor of time, that said the man was willing to carry the fallen bird pokemon and so Azad would call to the Metang, "If you would Aros." The psychic pokemon with a dull grunt would transfer the weight of the two bird pokemon to Ares gently placing them in his arms. Before Azad made his way to the man. Reaching into his bag the man would pull two berries.
"They're still young, if they wake up and begin to panic feed them these. It may calm them down. But only in small pieces." He'd hand the larger berries to the man his other placed on his hip now. "They're oran berries so they'll also help heal them up a bit. Hopefully by the time we finish the job they'll fly out of here.
Not that they had a choice.
With that darker thought Azad would nod his slightly inconsiderate partner forward moving slowly across the floor, "Watch out for weaker holes you remember what happened to me on the first floor. Metang stay at the ready to catch of if something falls through." He'd give the pokemon an order as he slowly began to move toward the stairs. This was about moving slow and steady.

"I mean, cant you just do what you did before? Ya' know the controlling the flames through psychic? It was pretty cool man." His answer was that of a child. Instead of realising his wrong doings he just looked at something as if it was cool, and was oblivious to things around him. It was almost as if Azad was the adult and Ares was the child, a strange pairing when it came to completing objectives, but one always needed to listen to the other should they wish to complete their objective. Heeding Azads warning, about the fire as well as the instability of floor/building, he now knew that Azad was a fairly serious about this. Whilst Ares did not realise it, his actions did pose a risk to the two of them which could maim them or even worse kill them. "Okay, okay. I remember. Lets get going shall we?" This statement really did show Azad Ares lack of care and was more the type of person that lived in the moment instead of always forward planning. "Hopefully the stairs on this floor are better otherwise we may need to find another way up." It was a definite issue should the stair be faulty again, because the elevator shaft they came up, was blocked due to the elevator itself residing on the 3rd floor. Looking around Ares could find much that could pose as a danger as well as another potential way to traverse upwards inside the building. Needless to say, Ares stayed close to Azad and walked at a slow cautious pace, so that he could reacted to anything that could pose any danger to him.

From a second pokeball a small fox like pokemon would appear brown fur and hazel eyes focusing on the two trainers rather intently. "Fai be light on your feet make sure the stairs are okay." the pokemon simply chirped before scurrying forward across the remainder of the room moving to the stairs Azad following the path the pokemon took to a Tee. While eevee tested the room Azad would answer the question Ares had earlier. "I'm from Kalos, choose to start my journey here to...get away." Azad kept his answer vague contemplating the full list of primarily toxic reasons he'd chosen to keep away from Kalos. Thinking back on the opposing trainer's birthplace his lackadaisical attitude made more sense. After all Hoenn was known for its laid-back nature, and it's "no worries" attitude.
The Eevee would begin to top hop up the stairs making sure to check each one noting the ones that were firm and the ones that were weaker, but by the time the pokemon got to the top of the stairs two shadows would swing down from the top ready to battle, another two starly striking in unison ready to fight for their home as the ones prior had minutes earlier.
Emerald eyes fell to Fai, before glancing at Ares, "No fire attacks." A reminder.

With Azad's reminder for the Hoenn native duo Ares just turned around and waved his hand at the fellow trainers words. "Yeah, yeah. No fire attacks. Got it." Perhaps there was a hint of sarcasm in his voice, but that was just something that happened to when someone tried to control him, not that it bothered him, but sometimes you cant control what cant be contained.
"What, do you mea-" Before Ares could even finish his sentence another 2 starly's had appeared attacking the two trainers. "Ah for fuck sake" Truth be told Ares had no clue of how to defeat the pokemon he had just enountered, considering he was now handicapped as his partner did was to damage the structural integrity of the building any more. He did consider switching to titan but it wouldnt be a testiment to his skill if he decided to back down from a more difficult challenge.
The two bird pokemon swooping in to attack at the same time, it really did just make the situation a lot harder for Ares to handle. The small fire chick was having to practically dance to attempt to avoid the two Starly coordinated attacks as both attacked Lilith with Wing Attack. Turning to Azad before the situation got any worse, Ares needed assistance, with the two pokemon.
"Hey, uh a little assistance would be nice." Currently all Lilith was doing was jumping, ducking and dodging the swooping bird pokemon. "Try get a slash attack in when you can Lilith." The fire pokemon nodded in response but the their effort would be for naught if he did not receive any help from his temporary com padre.
tdlr: Both Starly are attacking Lilith(torchic) and Torchic is trying to dodge whilst using slash whenever possible
