It was a surprisingly pleasant day. The sun was shining, birds were singing...on days like these, it was hard for even Vivian not to enjoy them. She wasn't a stick in the mud all the time, after all. And that was exactly why the girl was here in National Park, laying on the grass, relaxing and otherwise enjoying herself. Out in the city, she didn't have a lot of stuff like this - she was more so used to staring at the sky from atop skyscrapers than he was in grassy fields like this. And while she wasn't a fan of 'overly nature' stuff like that damned Ilex forest, this was...nice. Yeah, she didn't mind doing this at all.
Her team was actually fully out for once as well. Usually she didn't have the time, not temperament, to deal with them all but...hey, why not? Asta rolled about in the grass with Barbatos chasing after him, more so trying to bite him than to play. Shiva watched Asta from afar with hearts in her eyes, as per usual. Arsene was calmly relaxing nearby - meditating maybe? Who knew. Her blitzle was a bit far off from the other, as bad tempered as always as she grazed in the grass, whilst her croagunk also relaxed afar in the shade, away from the others. He wasn't exactly the biggest fan of the sun, likely due to his ability.
There was the occasional rustle of grass - perhaps wild pokemon moving about nearby. Despite its peacefulness, the brunette did decide that should something come her way, this would also be the prime chance to get some training in with a few of her newer, weaker party members. After all, one could never train too much, right? And so, the girl laid there in the grass, enjoying the faint breeze and the feeling of the sun on her skin as she otherwise just...chilled.

The sound of leaves rustling sent a few on alarm. Asta stopped rolling about, causing Barbatos to accidentally ram into him and send the two flying in a jumble of cries - something Vivian chose to ignore and not deal with. Arsene, being the most mature of her team, automatically stiffened, ready to defend his trainer. Blitzle continued to do her own thing - as did her croagunk...and Shiva? Where even was Shiva?Much to the trainer's dismay, instead of an actual threat, all that appeared from the bushes was some weird, creepy looking bug type. Oh, nice. "Shiva - deal with this." Vivian stated, still lying on the grass casually, and not really paying too much attention to the nincada. The sudden drop in temperature told her that the snorunt was near, and with a lazy point directed towards the bug type, the trainer would soon command her, "use ice shard."Shards of jagged blue ice appeared in front of the snorunt, hitting the bug/ground type as it let out a startled hiss before turning to face the trainer and the snorunt. Small, yet sharp, claws glowed as it sprang forward, swiping over the snorunt's face once - no twice, even a third time. The snorunt let out a little grunt of slight pain - but, mostly annoyance. From the way she kept glancing over at Astaroth, it was clear she was likely trying to impress him - something that Vivian noted with a raised brow. She...would never understand the ice types infatuation for him, really.

The wild nincada used fury swipe! It hit three times!
"Finish it off with a powder snow." The trainer commanded, just as the bug reared up to possibly use another fury swipe on the distracted snorunt. However, Shiva's jaw gaped, a wind as cold as ice blowing from it and hitting the nincada, causing frost to form on its body. However, much to Vivian's surprise, the frost turned to ice, which expanded - and before they knew it, the wild pokemon was encased in a thing of ice. Surprisingly enough, the bug was frozen solid - and so...well, that was that, Vivian guessed....Until Barbatos tripped and shattered the ice with that diamond-hard head of his. There was a moment of silence as the frozen bug type actually shattered. Had...they just murdered a pokemon?...Shit, hopefully one of the rangers didn't see. The most sensitive of her party, Asta, began to tear up, staring up at her with big eyes while Arsene looked a bit mortified. Despite the guilt that tugged at her own heart, Vivian only looked away, laying back onto the grass and closing her eyes. "...It just fainted." The trainer spoke in a calm tone, despite the obvious shattered bits of ice - and nincada. Thankfully, it seemed she was rubbing off on her band of misfits, as they slowly but surely went back to minding their own business. She also decided not to acknowledge the fact that Shiva was dragging away aforementioned frozen, broken pieces...probably to eat them.
Shiva used powder snow! It's super effective! The wild nincada was frozen solid!

It didn't take long until their next 'opponent' had showed up. Well...it was more like Asta had caused a pidgey's nest to fall from a tree after accidentally running into it. The pidgey loudly screeched in anger, beginning to attack the flailing, crying larvitar in a flurry of small talons and frantic wings. While Vivian was sure the larvitar could've easily defeated the bird brain, he was far too busy running, and crying, to even attempt to fight back. It didn't help that the idiotic green pokemon came running straight towards her, with the intention of hiding behind her. Rolling her eyes as she sat up, she glowered at the squawking, angry pidgey. "Shiva," she called to her snorunt, who'd been angrily huffing that the flying/normal type had dared to attack her 'beloved Asta'. Regardless, she perked up quite a bit as she was called, eyes sparkling. "Use powder snow,"
The trainer remained unflinching, even as the pidgey dived towards her now that Asta hide behind her. Because, as soon as the wild pokemon did, a sudden gust of chilly wind filled with clumps of snow pushed it back, ice forming upon its wings as the pidgey let out a little cry. The little, angry snorunt shivered violently as she stood in front of Vivian now, glaring at the other pokemon. The pidgey faltered for a moment before, with a few flaps of its wings, took into the sky once more. With a blinding speed, the bird pokemon dove forward, striking Shiva as it flew past, and sending the snorunt rolling a bit. However, Shiva was back onto her feet in a moments time, ready for action once more.

The wild pidgey used quick attack!
"Finish it off with an ice shard," the snorunt wasted little time in complying. Just as the pidgey circled back around in the sky, diving downwards to attack once more, it was met with several icy shards of jagged ice. The bird let out a cry before falling to the ground, knocked out by the attack.
The wild pidgey used tackle, but, it failed!

The wild pidgey fainted!
Asta, seeing his aggressor had been defeated, slowly peeked from around his trainer, smiling widely before giving a little cheer. Vivian, on the other hand, only rolled her eyes, setting back down onto the grass to relax once more. For several minutes, it was nothing but peace. Not necessarily quiet - but, peace. Barbatos wasn't being an idiot, Asta wasn't crying, and Shiva wasn't being...weird. And that meant Vivian could just relax for once. Settled back onto the soft, green grass, her eyes closed as she drifted between being asleep and awake. It was the loud rustle of bushes near her that eventually roused the trainer from her rest - as grumpy as always.Tottering from out the bushes like a drunken sailor, a spinda danced about. Slightly irritated, and grumpy, the still half asleep trainer slowly rose, yawning slightly and catching the attention of her party that either relaxed or played nearby. "So you woke me up, eh? Guess you won't mind being used as a training partner then," she bitterly told the pokemon, who only annoyingly tilted its head as it slowly danced and spun. Ugh, honestly, just looking at this thing made her feel irritated. She'd take pleasure in defeating it. "Arsene, you're up." She called out to her pokemon, who perked up immediately from where he'd been meditating.
"Start off with a double team." Almost immediately, the ralts formed blurred and he split himself into multiple copies -a confused look coming to the spinda's face as it stared at the many ralts that now surrounded it. Well...more confused than it typically looked, anyway. Almost wildly, the wild pokemon began to thrash about in the midst of the illusions, each hit blurring the form and causing it to disappear. However, even in its mad, dangerous rage, it couldn't hit the ralts.
Arsene used double team! Arsene's evasion rose!
The wild spinda used thrash! The attack missed!
Halting in its mad thrashing, the spinda panted, still annoyingly tottering about though. "Now, Arsene. Use confusion!" Emerging from the shadows of the few illusive copies that remained, the spinda was attacked with a powerful wave of psychic energy that sent it rolling. However, almost rhythmically, the pokemon returned to its feet. Bouncing back with an unexpected quickness, its fist glowed a bright white as it reared its arm back before hitting the ralts, actually sending him flying from the surprisinly powerful punch. "Arsene - land on your feet!"
Arsene used confusion!
The wild spinda used dizzy punch!
The ralts winced in pain, but, eager to prove his strength to his trainer, landed rather skillfully onto his feet, breathing a bit heavy, but, seemingly okay. "Bear through it. Finish it off with another confusion!" Yet again, the spinda was covered in a bright blue glow that matched the illuminated look of the ralt's hidden eyes as the psychic attack took its toll. When it finished, only then did the spinda finally stop dancing, as it fell to the ground, passed out...and still with that damned annoying, dopey smile on its face.
