"Shut up." The girl immediately grumbled out to him as he commented on her smile, trying her hardest to frown, scowl, or just do something else other than smile like an idiot. But, lo and behold, her face didn't it had a mind of its own, and regardless of how hard she glowered at the man, her tiny smile wouldn't stop. And so, she looked away after a moment, as though to hide that stupidly honest smile.
"Mmmh...I'll consider it. No promises." There was a playful taunt in her voice, as she briefly clenched her hand into a fist, giving him a small smirk. She paused briefly when sharp eyes spotted the faintest goosebumps that were on his skin...was he cold? It had nearly slipped her mind from how warm, and snug, she was in both his embrace and...his jacket? When the hell...? How had she not even...? She could feel her face beginning to warm up once more as she realized that she was wearing his jacket - which was comically a bit too large for her - but, did its job well. It...almost smelled like him a bit - a fact that made her ears burn with embarrassment.
Still, the last thing she needed was for him to get sick. She had no idea how to handle that - and she wasn't the most...sympathetic person in situations like that. While she was positive Azad knew what he was signing up for when it came with her, the idea that her brutish nature would drive him off was a bit...frightening? Still - she wouldn't hold herself back, regardless of how much she liked him - or at least, that was what she tried to tell herself. Er...not that she liked him. Or...anything.
Either way, she'd shift closer towards him, trying to be discreet about it but likely failing, in an attempt to warm him. Her hands would rest on his shoulders, warm palms lightly sliding down and up his arms a few times, awkwardly still looking away, likely complaining under her breath about how stupid this was - only to pause as he asked her his question. Slowly, she looked back up at him.
"My strength?" That was...an interesting question. But - it was one that she, thankfully, didn't have to linger on thinking about for too long.
"Where I grew up. The life I used to lead...I likely would've been seriously hurt countless times if I stayed weak. I had no choice but to become strong. And so, if I had to be strong, then I damned sure would try to be the strongest." She shrugged. "If you wanna know more about where I grew up - that's a separate question. No freebies." There was a definite taunting in her voice, a small smirk coming to her lips as she blew a raspberry out at him in an almost childish manner. However, she'd soon briefly pause, a slight hum coming from her lips - a sign that she was thinking. Violet eyes briefly closed before, abruptly, they opened, staring back up at the silvery haired man.
"Actually...It was also become of my father. I don't really know him. But, when I was younger, my mother told me he was a pretty strong trainer. I always had this stupid dream that if I got strong enough to catch his attention, I could meet him." She paused, an almost bitter, icy look coming into her eyes as she let out a scoff, "that was probably the stupidest goal I've ever had." And yet, she still clung onto it - onto that stupid hope. It was one of the main reasons why she had came to johto.
There were other reasons why she wanted to become strong - reasons that dealt with her insecurities - her fears. Things she wanted to possibly tell him, and share with him, to finally let someone else know but...The idea of exposing such a softness to anyone made her cringe. It was hypocritical, yes. She grew offended that he wouldn't tell her his problems, but here she was, refusing to completely explain her own. But...sometimes...sometimes it was better if people didn't know everything.
Either way, it was her turn to ask a question now. And, she wanted to change the subject before he tried to pry out anymore information.
"Your name sounds familiar. Er, your last name, I mean. Are you...someone famous?"

| DO YOU REMEMBER? LOOK AT ME AND ALL THE THINGS WE SAID WE'D BE. WE BEAT THE HOUNDS, WE PUSHED THE ODDS. WE'D TAKE IT ALL - WE HAD THE CAUSE. WITH YEARS TO BURN AND YEARS TO TRASH, LIVIN' LIFE BASED ON FLASH. BUT SOMEHOW REACHING FOR THE STARS, I THINK WE WENT A BIT TOO FAR.
He remains silent as she speaks tension rising as she explains that desire for power. At first he can't relate. There was never a point, or at least a point until recently where he was ever in danger of being hurt, because he wasn't strong enough, it was one of the reasons why the incident with the tower had managed to break him so much. Upon hearing her explanation the pieces of her personality come together a little more; how she was able to move forward and so gracefully from the incident makes sense now as she continues to speak on her life. Perhaps not on the scale it'd been, or maybe they were; incidents with a nature similar to that of Madatsubomi tower, incidents where strength was such a large part in the idea of survival weren't foreign to the girl. She'd lived a life where that was a daily concept. Seeing the woman in a world so harsh and lonely the professor, and while he knows she doesn't need his protection or any words of assurance the professor can't help but hold her noticeably tighter.
As she blew the raspberry his eyes were focused ahead a certain intensity seeming to have found momentary respite there. as Azad continued to think on her situation. It takes a moment to notice her gaze on him a smaller grin returning to his features. The man still refused to let his grip loosen in the slightest. "And here I thought I was supposed to be the strict one."
The woman wasn't quite finished yet delving into a surprise second portion of her story, one that was all too similar to his own. Fighting for the affection of a father, wanting them to be proud to smile or even really just to look at you, yeah he understood that too well. He'd long since given up searching for his father's approval and seeing someone else fight for their own, especially a person already so close to his heart filled him a series of new complex emotions. On one end he hadn't the right to judge her goal in any shape. She'd said it was a stupid goal, but the look in her eyes made it clear she wasn't being totally honest.
"It's not my place, but I don't think it's a stupid goal at all. I think it's real. Wanting the approval of your father, but if he can't see the greatness in you already. The greatness that's already so blinding I don't think you need the approval of someone that blockheaded."
It was an honest statement even if she hadn't asked for one, and it's one he'd say with a certain pride in regards to his own complicated relationship with his father, a relationship that, thanks to her question was about to be brought to the light. He couldn't help but chuckle at the perfect coincidence.
My father, Faisal Slade is... or I suppose was the champion of Kalos Region up until a year ago where he retired his title. He was a good champion, an outstanding trainer, and there's no person on this planet that I loathe more than him. The trainer's eyes became cold the smile finally faltering becoming something more twisted upon talking of the elder Slade.
"I'm the outcast of my family. The weakest. And for all intents and purposes I'm the failure." Saying it aloud still stung. "Growing up as a son of the champion, constantly your pitted against each other to see who's most worthy of your father's time. You have your life planned out for you at birth, to follow in his footsteps and become a great trainer, or coordinator. For a boy who wanted neither of those things initially you can only imagine his disappointment. And so eventually I rebelled. Where my brothers recieved his affection I was left alone to my studies." An easy laugh escapes his throat, "I can count how many time's he's recognized me as his son on one hand. That said, I don't need to like him and I damn sure don't want nor do I need his approval."
"And so if I could give any piece of advice from the other side of the fence. I'd say regardless of how he responds if, you do decide to search for your father his approval doesn't define who you are and you're strength Vivian. I'm sure you already know, but you're the best with his blessing or without it."
He'd attempt to move to a lighter topic as they continued to sail across the night sky, "What's the most embarrassing thing that's happened since starting your pokemon journey?"
Hopefully that would lighten the mood.

His grip on her shifted - tightening, almost in a manner similar to a protector. Even if it wasn't necessary - even if Vivian felt like she didn't need it, secretly, it was appreciated, as she didn't let out even a single word of protest. She did quirk a slight eyebrow at his own playful taunt back at her childish action, only giving a lazy snicker and halfhearted roll of her eyes. What? She wasn't a stick in the mud all of the time.
Her violet gaze lingered on the man as he began to speak after she briefly discussed her father, and she found herself feeling a bit...surprised at his words. He understood how she felt. Not only that, but his honest statement made her blink a few times, perhaps in some sort of bashful disbelief. The girl was typically so...cocky about herself and her abilities, and yet, hearing someone call her great was...odd. Or, maybe it was hearing Azad call her such thing that felt odd? That made her heart feel with a weird warmth and quicken? She awkwardly cleared her throat, trying to find her words, and hoping he wouldn't be able to feel her heartbeat from how tightly she was pressed to him. "...Thanks," the mutter was quiet - almost like a whisper. But, had a certain sincerity to it - a privilege that he alone had.
As he began to answer her own question, several emotions clearly presented themselves on her face, for once. At the reveal of his family's origin - and just how famous his father was, the female visibly flinched. He was a Slade, as in, that family - the prestigious one. How had it not clicked before? She...always had a problem with those who were 'up there' in class, to where now, she had a distaste for any who claimed to be from high class, famous families. However, she never once got 'that' sort of feeling from Azad. Sure, he was cocky, annoying, infuriating, and just about every other word she could think of, but, he never came off as one of those rich, upper-class bastards. In fact, as he spoke of his prestigious father, there was an unmistakable bitterness in his voice, an icy coldness that the woman easily picked up on, and though she said nothing, the confusion was clear in her eyes.
It was...hard to relate to him - in all honesty. And yet, at the same time, she felt as though she could understand him. They were both so similar, and yet, so vastly different all at the same time. The feeling of being a disappointment to those who you were supposed too hold close...the lack of support from a parent, the want to be your own person - the sheer struggle in becoming one...She could understand his frustration, and pain, even if she couldn't relate to it.
Hearing the anger and tightness of his voice....Usually, she wouldn't care - but...this felt different. She couldn't help but frown slightly, a soft, quiet, 'tch' coming from her mouth. "You're strong to me. Not just now but even back then. You didn't let your dad or anyone else deter you from going down the path you wanted," 'unlike me,' "and that takes strength. Fuck anyone else who says anything different - even now." She wasn't sure if it amounted to much at all - in fact, she was positive it didn't. And yet, that was the first thing that came to mind. She wanted to comfort him - reassure him but...how? Ugh, why was this so damned...difficult? She reached a free hand forward - but, withdrew it, albeit awkwardly. It was clear the woman wanted to do, or say, something more but...what?
And then, finally, a light bulb flashed overhead. A burning, intense glower directed itself up at him. "....If I meet your dad, I'll punch him for you. Hard." Funny thing was, she was dead serious too. Former champion or not, he wasn't invincible, and she prided herself in making her hits hurt. She...wasn't able to offer much comfort for him outside of...well, that. And it was irritating - but, it was her.
She paused slightly as he offered his advice to her - opening her mouth to perhaps say something to him. He was right - she knew he was, and it was common sense. And yet...the idea of her father - a man whom she greatly looked up to, a man who she'd heard nothing but good tales about from even her drunken mother...The idea of him rejecting her, of failing to note her growth and power...She was positive it would hurt. But, Azad was right. And so, she gave a nod of agreement despite not saying anything.
She wanted to question the man himself a bit further - slowly finding herself wanting to know more about the man, but, before she could ask, he changed the subject. And though she was usually pretty darn stubborn, she decided to drop the topic. For now, at least. The next question he asked definitely did make her pale as she let out a little breath. She wasn't...the most ecstatic person when it came to talking about her - ahm - 'faults'.
"This question is stupid." A tell tale sign that she didn't want to do it. "Almost as stupid as you." A tell tale sign that she really didn't want to do it.
Finally though, she huffed, looking away. "I got beat up by and my stuff stolen by a group of damn rattata. Asta and Barbatos were scared of them." Yes, lo and behold, she somehow got her ass handed to her by some thug-like rattata. "....They even stole one of my favorite bras." She let out a slight groan, remembering that foolishness that occurred that day.
"You?" She immediately questioned, eager to get off of the topic.

Her words have a certain clarity to them as they often did when the two were serious or so he was learning. He'd linger on each word refusing to interrupt barring the occasional 'hmm' or 'ah' as she said statements he found particularly poignant. When speaking on his own strength he couldn't help but feel like he still had work to do, to surpass the family in his own way. Still if she believed he was on the right path at least he wouldn't stray from it, not when she'd saved him more than once from the traps that were his own self-doubt.
The trainer's energy shifts immediately as she glowers at him coming up with a sort of plan that's respectable and hilarious in equal measures. Hilarious not because it was an unreasonable idea, but because the idea was so unquestionably 'Vivian' he couldn't help but laugh. In between short chuckles his hand would find his way to hers the trainer interlocking their fingers together if she'd allow it. No longer the vicegrip the two shared at the beach, no, this was lighter, firmer. "Then if your dad ever does anything to harm you or put you down, I'll do the same because I will break him, does that sound like a promise?"
The topic changes at his own behest and he finds the woman groaning now obviously not looking forward to the question.
"Well this is gonna be interesting." She'd then compare the question to the professor himself, "This is gonna be really intersting.
She tells the story he's certain she's never told anyone else if only to protect the rep the woman held dear the man chuckling a bit awkwardly at the mention of the woman's bra, looking away for a moment. It was something he definitely didn't need to think about at the moment. His ears becoming a fierce red, not even his dark-skin would cover up the scarlet coloring his features.
He hasn't had this much fun in years. First the beach and now this? While it'd been the most emotion heavy week of his life as a pokemon trainer and professor it'd turned out to be the most cleansing, interesting and generally fun one despite the stumbling here and there. Every time he'd reached a roadblock the woman had appeared helping him through it, even when she wasn't actually there the thought of her would push him forward.
It's because of that when she flips the question to him the man tilts his head sideways for a moment, Emerald gaze resting on the woman in his arms the embarrassment from her story apparent in her expression.
Yeah.
It only took a second.
As the Dragonair flew what felt like directly underneath the moon, clouds completely out of sight for the moment Azad would lean in quickly his heartbeat spiraling out of control now. His lips against Vivian's. It was awkward and a little clumsy, but the arm around her back would keep the woman steady as the event continued the man only stopping if she pushed away. Silver, Blue and Brunette locks continued to slide against each other closer than they'd ever been before. Azad was sure she pummel him later for it, but if nothing else thankfully they were over the water now, so there was a chance he might not die if Vivian decided to knock him off his pokemon. The two would be so close there was no doubt in his mind that the fighter could feel the organ in Azad's chest completely wild now. His eyes clashing and melding with hers in the moment.
Azad had never been one to steal anything much less a kiss, but now in the moment he couldn't help himself. For Vivian, the girl that'd managed to break through his multitude of layers filled with little other than arrogance, self-doubt and general bullshit. the girl wasn't only a powerful friend, no she'd become something so much more. She was the one woman he could imagine doing this with and the only one the now 19 year old would choose despite how complicated the two were in their own right.
When it ends or even if she ended it earlier he'd attempt to speak first knowing there would be an assortment of (angry) questions waiting for him, and so he'd answer the most embarrassed she'd ever seen him.
"The most embarrassing thing that's happened on my journey was me giving my first kiss to the girl I fell for while riding my Dragonair at 1 A.M on the morning of my 19th birthday. After she told me about a pack of particularly tough rattatas stole her favorite bra. And subsequently her beating the life out of me."
He'd add his own prophecy to the story.

She was serious. And though Vivian was positive Azad knew that she was, even at his laughter at her offer to literally punch his dad - hard -, she didn't back down on that intense stare she gave him....Wait, how much trouble would she get into for decking a former champion in the face...? Eh - it'd be worth it. The girl was distracted from her mildly interesting thoughts of punching Azad's old man when a warmth firmly grasped her hand. Her sharp violet gaze would immediately flicker over to their now joined hands, their fingers interlocked in a firm grasp...It honestly reminded her of something couples tended to do.
...Couples....Right.
She could feel a warmth of a blush daring to show on her cheeks, but, she chose to otherwise ignore both it and their now intertwined hands. It wasn't as though she....hated it enough to put forth the effort to drag her hand away....Right. That was definitely the reason why she didn't pull her hand away. Thankfully, the man spoke up, distracting her from their entangled hands and the questioning of her own feelings in favor of snickering at him. "You couldn't break a stick." She couldn't help but taunt, the thought of the typically composed man lifting a fist to hurt anyone seemed...funny. She thought she'd be the violent one of this relationship - er...not that they were in one...Or that she even wanted one. Clearing her throat as though to get those annoying thoughts out of her mind though, she continued smirk, nodding slightly. "Fine, promise." She gave their joined hands the smallest of squeezes, as though to show that she meant it.
As she, grudgingly, explained her most embarrassing moment, she resisted the urge to shove him off of the dragon - again - as he began to softly chuckle at her little story. It wasn't funny - those damn scratches hurt. However, soon enough, something caught her eye...Wait - wait, was he blushing from her mentioning her...? Aw. How cute. She'd definitely have to taunt him about this later. Though she said nothing, that deep, scheming smirk of hers said plenty.
She eagerly waited - almost a bit too eagerly - to hear whatever this 'embarrassing' secret of his was. Maybe he had been attacked by a rabid magikarp? Or perhaps he fell off his own dragonair once before? Each thought, a bit more violent than the rest, made that smug smirk of hers grow deeper and deeper as she impatiently waited for him to spill the can of worms...Hence why, there was no way she could've been prepared for what happened next. It..had happened far too fast - far too quickly for her mind to keep up with. And when it did, she wasn't sure what to do, or what to even say.
He was...kissing her. Azad was kissing her. His lips were pressed against her own in a hesitant kiss, and yet, it clearly showed just how much he felt....for her. At least, the rapid thud of his heart against his chest, which she could feel each beat it gave, did. And Vivian herself? She...had no idea what to do. Instinct screamed at her to push him away - to punch him, to hurt him in some shape or form. She wasn't...used to this sort of things, this sort of intimacy. And though this wasn't her first kiss, it was the first time that she...didn't hate it. It was the first time that it managed to stir up emotions that she'd been trying so hard to repress. The single hand that had automatically clenched into a fist relaxed, as did her tense body...She didn't necessarily kiss him back - but...she didn't shove him away - she didn't reject the sheer show of feelings the man was showing her.
Really, she wasn't sure how this man had...wormed himself into her heart - as disgustingly cheesy as it sounded. While she was positive she wasn't ready to so openly confess the feelings that stirred inside of her him - something he triumphed her in, she guessed - she...could at least acknowledge that they were there. He...made her feel things that she didn't want to feel, emotions that she swore were beneath her. He made her want to lose sight of the single goal she had on her mind, if just to spend another stupid moment by his side, talking about rattatas or flying on dragons with him...It was pathetic. But...it wasn't horrible. 'Dammit Azad, just what are you doing to me?'
And so...the woman let it happen, letting herself relax against him, her grip on his hand tightened slightly, but, allowing for this fragile moment to continue, enhanced only by the beauty of the night of the light of the stars and moon shining down on them. While she'd never, ever, openly admit to it...This moment was pretty perfect, wasn't it?
When their faces finally pulled apart, shockingly to her dismay a little, she could still feel the warm 'sting' from where his lips used to be on her own, a blush very noticeable on her face. Before she could possibly reply - or likely shout - at him for his boldness, the man spoke up. Her glowering look abruptly faded as it was replaced with a look of realization {and slight amusement at this so called 'prophecy'}.
"Today's...your birthday?....Wait - I'm older than you?....Hah!" Yes, of course that was the first thing the she focused on. Really - from the way he called her a 'kid'....She couldn't help but snicker...But, soon enough, that cocky, childish smirk of hers was replaced with the slightest hint of an actual, true smile - something she found was becoming easier to do while being alongside the man. She reached a hand forward, grabbing his collar in a fashion that was reminiscent to their date. However, it was much gentler - much more careful. And this time, she'd let their foreheads briefly rest against each other...it was a surprisingly warm, perhaps even intimate gesture for their woman....Honestly, it was a miracle that she hadn't just headbutted him yet.
"Tch...Why the hell didn't you tell me, dumbass?" She sounded irritated once more, but, didn't push it any further. Her lips once again pulled into a smile as she muttered out in a quiet voice, "happy birthday, Azad. I'm...happy you decided to spend it with...me." She tried not to feel too horribly embarrassed for her warm words. Unfortunately for the man though, she'd also utter out in a quiet whisper, "you're out of freebies too, and that's gonna cost you when we land." There was a clear warning and threat in her tone...and though it wasn't nearly a fraction vicious as she definitely could be, it was easy to tell that she was serious about it too.
She pulled away after a moment, looking away once more and utterly refusing to meet his gaze as a dark red blush dusted her cheeks."That...thing," she refused to refer to it as a kiss - likely out of sheer embarrassment, "also lost you question privileges. Tough luck."

She doesn't fight it and so the moment would continue a certain stillness existing parallel to the experience. After the initial moments his heart would calm if only slightly seeing as she didn't reject his admittedly bold advance. And so they would stay like that as if time had stopped under that moonlit sky. Azad appreciating the moment for all that it was as Kreiss effortlessly sailed through the Johtoan Airs. If someone had told him he'd be here, like this, with these emotions even a month ago he would have compiled a full list of how impossible such a thing was, but now that he'd come this far it felt as if the dark-skinned trainer had known nothing else. He still had fears, and concerns of course. In the back of his mind he'd question 'what did this actually mean for them?' and where would they go from here? He knows she has goals and he does too, and so as the kiss ends their foreheads resting against each other he'd have an awkward, but content smile resting upon his features. It feels all so clear in that moment that he makes a promise to himself.
"I wont hold her back." Five words.
Five words that in this moment of clarity both seemed and felt astoundingly simple. Whether they'd prove to be that simple in practice only time would tell.
Foreheads pressing lightly against each other he watches her laugh, a bit of pride jutting from her eyes with the new knowledge that she was indeed older than he was, something that surprised him a bit as well. He couldn't help but note her changing expression his remaining the same, from the childish smirk of superiority to that deep smile that seemed to radiate in her eyes before moving to her mouth. It so quickly changed her entire energy every time he saw it. He appreciated both for what they were because he'd fallen for both. Vivian Valestein, The rough and tumble trainer who prized strength, victory, and independence over all else. Her sharp attitude and physical displays of 'affection' (as he'd begin to call them) served as a period to the sentence that was her character, She was a rival and one he didn't dare fall too far behind. And Vivian Valestein, the poignant wise woman whose advice, words, and feelings served not only to sharpen him, but eased him of the doubts that festered in his heart, and motivated him to become stronger not only for himself and his goals, but for the woman herself. Vivian Valestein, a woman of many faces was the women who'd swept him off his feet and the woman he was in love with.
"I don't really celebrate it." A fact, if only because it'd been looked over for years at this point. Her next words are so warm and cute that he's shaken to his core. The words serve to compliment the thought he'd had watching her moments ago. His throat dry for a second the man would begin to speak, "There's no other person on this planet that I'd rather have spent it with." A second fact.
The woman gives a fact of her own causing his eyes to widen far more nervously now, he'd figured the woman would show him some 'affection' eventually, and so of course he'd attempt to get out of the deserved punishment while she at least seemed calm.
"You wont let it slide, this once?" It wasn't pleading, but there was a bit of hope in there as the nervousness in his eyes would begin to travel to his smile. Well it was worth it. I wouldn't change that moment for the world." He'd speak proudly refusing to apologize or back down for what he'd done despite the incoming pain he'd feel. In that brief moment a new idea came to mind. "In fact, if I'm already in for it..." He'd lean back for a moment lips this time touching her forehead for a second or three.
"You can add that to my list of infractions, Executioner Valestein.
He figured she'd prefer that over 'Judge', or 'Jury'.
Azad wouldn't fight his loss of a question, instead he'd simply nod eyes traveling the sole light of the pokemon center now nearby. A tap to dragon's side would trigger the majestic pokemon's descent. "I may have lost mine, but you still have yours. Any final question or concerns on your mind that you'd care to share, before I face the music? I think you've experienced my full range of feelings one way or another today Vivian, No?" A short laugh followed.

clever as the devil but twice as pretty ____________________
She hated him for this. Or, at least, that was what Vivian was trying to convince herself. She was someone who typically closed herself off to others - who prided herself in being able to keep warmer, sincerer emotions under wraps. She valued her own toughness and independence, and saw her general coldness and rough personality as necessities in the life she chose to lead. She had came to Johto to prove to herself, and all others who'd look down on her in the past, that she could rise above all others, on her lonesome, nonetheless...This hadn't been in her agenda. Hell, it hadn't even been on her mind. And yet, here she was, bathed in moonlight, held in the arms of someone who had somehow managed to gain her affection, and they were kissing. Had someone told her this a month ago, she'd probably laugh...If not immediately punch them afterwards for daring to insinuate such a stupid thing. It was funny how things turned out, huh?
The irony of it all? It was Azad. The man who she despised for being able to keep up with her quips - whose strength had both enamored her and filled her with a certain desire to break him. When they first met, she swore she'd make him taste defeat by her hand. Perhaps, she had known so even back in that stupid cave in? That there was something different about this silver haired man? Those unsure feelings that stirred in her mind when he first saved her from getting trampled by that stupid rhyhorn...to even during their 'date' - his ability to so easily usher from her emotions she'd long since refused to ever show unto the world. It was confusing - and it was frustrating. And yet, it entrapped her more.
Azad...was able to show her things about herself she had long since forgotten how to. He found the pieces of hers that others hated and called them beautiful, despite how ugly they truly were. Really, she wasn't sure why he'd fallen for her...and honestly, she was a bit intimidated to ask. The woman knew she wasn't the...kindest person around. She was rough. Brutish. Rude. Mean. Harsh. She knew this, he damned sure knew this...and yet, here he was even still.
A small part of her couldn't help but feel...wary? Distrustful, maybe. Years of relying solely on herself, to her trust being betrayed by any and all back at home made the girl feel...bitter. And, as much as she hated to even think about it, it made her feel scared. What if she pushed too hard one day, and he actually left? What if her selfish nature put him at risk one day? Or her harshness drove him away? 'I wouldn't care.' She tried to internally argue with herself, even if she knew that was a damned lie. Even if she didn't, and wasn't, going to admit it...Azad really had wormed his way into her heart like the annoying idiot he was. She genuinely, truly, cared about him.
And that made her fearful thoughts all the more terrifying.
His voice broke her away from her multitude of thoughts, the warmth from the closeness of their faces making her feel flustered all over again. That was yet another thing that she 'hated' - how the hell did he managed to make her feel as though she had butterflies flying in her stomach with just a simple touch? It didn't help that his words, as cheesy as they were, made that small smile of hers grow. Really? Her? She wasn't sure whether to feel bad that he'd find her company...well, not horrible, or be happy, but, for once, the woman chose the latter. Still, it didn't sit well with her that he didn't really celebrate his birthdays...She couldn't exactly talk much, given that she didn't either, but still....She'd make a note to address it later - probably harass him about it or something.
"Absolutely not." She immediately replied with a scoff. He was lucky she hadn't just elbowed him off of the dragonair to begin with...The man was far, far bolder than she had expected. And while, yes, it was a bit...attractive, maybe, it didn't make her want to punch him any less. Of course, at his bold declaration of it being 'worth it', she blinked once - then twice, looking a bit frazzled. How...was she supposed to respond to that? Dammit! "...Shut up," she soon opted to say, her 'go to', as she huffed softly. Unfortunately for her her embarrassed look only grew when lips warmly pressed to her forehead for a few seconds. Even if his lips just barely whisked against her skin, it made her heart pound painfully in her chest as she twitched, warmth spreading across her cheeks.
"....Noted, you criminal." She glowered at him slightly, deciding not to admit to the fact that being called an executioner sounded pretty...cool.
At the mention of a final question for the dark skinned man, the girl blinked once, then twice, her glower briefly intensifying for a brief moment. "Have I?" She challenged, before, while still holding his gaze, she took on a more serious demeanor as she prepared to ask her final question. "Azad." She'd state his name eventually.
"Marry me."
There was a brief moment of silence that lasted far too long as her unyielding gaze glowered into his own, smoldering hotter than any fire. Her lips were twisted into a slight, serious frown, her intense stare not faltering as she almost 'patiently' awaited an answer...Until she abruptly broke out into a wide, arrogant smirk, a small chuckle coming from her lips as she couldn't help but laugh. "I'm kidding." She paused, repeating the words in a less jovial, much more serious manner. "I'm kidding." Wonder boy over here had already showed how bold he could be...and she swore if he popped out a ring from somewhere he would wind up missing a tooth before the night was over with.
All joking aside though...one particular question did bug her - incessantly as that. And while she didn't want to bring an abrupt pause to their bantering and joking...she needed to know the answer to it. And so, for a few moments, the brown and blue haired female remained quiet, gaze flickering off to the sideline for a brief moment as they tore away from those vibrant emerald eyes of his. A few more brief, yet astonishingly tense, moments of silence passed, the atmosphere changing dramatically from her sudden silence. However, finally, the girl's lips parted as she began to speak.
"You know...I'm not exactly girlfriend material. N-not that we're a couple or...something. That's dumb. And stupid." She gave a little, awkward, and embarrassed cough, feeling her cheeks burn. However, she quickly became serious once more. "Are you sure you'd really want..." She trailed off, quieting herself as she frowned slightly. Despite this, it was clear as day to what the female wanted to say, but, was unable to.
Are you sure you'd really want to get involved with me?

| DO YOU REMEMBER? LOOK AT ME AND ALL THE THINGS WE SAID WE'D BE. WE BEAT THE HOUNDS, WE PUSHED THE ODDS. WE'D TAKE IT ALL - WE HAD THE CAUSE. WITH YEARS TO BURN AND YEARS TO TRASH, LIVIN' LIFE BASED ON FLASH. BUT SOMEHOW REACHING FOR THE STARS, I THINK WE WENT A BIT TOO FAR.
Her next and final question causes him to choke, literally, ears hotter than an iron, in flames, on the sun.
Had he heard her correctly? Immediately his mind flew to different scenarios attempting to preform numerous impossible calculations on the spot mentally. How would he afford a wedding right now? He couldn't bum this off on his father, he hadn't bought rings not to mention they'd just started dating each other if that, but he loved the girl that was a fact. So why shouldn't they? They're both only nineteen and had yet to start their own lives and even more he'd made a promise moments prior to keep the girl moving forward, how would that change if they were married?. If she was this quick about marriage what was the child situation going to be like? He can't be a father yet, can he even be a father at all?, he can barely take care of himself. With an almost blood red face his throat dry the man would speak up tens of hundreds of questions slamming into his mind at once while answers were nowhere to be found.
"W-well if you t-think you're pre-" What was he getting ready to do? He could swear if she looked hard enough Vivian would be able to see the steam leaving his ears, before she spoke again easing the situation significantly. She had to repeat herself twice, the first time filled with laughter the second time eying the man seriously as if waiting for him to say something stupid. He wasn't as much furious as he was indignant expression changing rapidly from completely and honestly shaken, to confusion, to indignant all in the span of three seconds. With relief slowly easing his mind the man would grumble quietly too himself his heartbeat still not having recovered from her question. "...ha ha. very cute." He'd become more pouty than she'd even seen him in the two minutes or so following. "I'm gonna punish you for that later, I'll show you married" Despite his grumbling it was apparent that beneath that grumpy facade he was still beyond happy the corners of his mouth twitching upwards an easy sign that any anger had long since faded or most likely hadn't existed in the first place.
As the man finished his griping Dragonair would sink lower preparing to land on the sandy bank of the river. The pokemon center was no more than a two minute walk away its lights shining where the pokemon planned to land. As the dragon continues its descent she tenses in his arms when words find themselves in the air again the mood changes significantly his emerald gaze hones in on the woman for the umpteenth time this evening his awkward smile morphing into something more complex respecting the mood and intensity of her question. He can see the doubt and concern and more over fear she has, concerning their relationship as a whole and so Azad remains silent, listening the man's grip firm as dragonair finally lands. Sensing the intensity of the conversation the massive serpent pokemon remained silent for a moment simply happy to rest it's body on the cool evening sands.
When she finishes the woman is caught looking down obviously abashed and embarrassed concerning her own person and character, she doesn't even finish her question voice fading out before reaching the end. Thankfully, she doesn't need to finish her question for the silver-haired male to understand where exactly she was going.
The man with still holding th egirl would swing a leg over the side of the Dragonair refusing to let the woman down just yet keeping the woman steady. T-shirt billowing slightly in the late night winds.
"You're such an idiot I swear." it's almost as if he's exasperated.
" You are not perfect Vivian. You're violent, rude, crass, arrogant, rash, we always argue and every time we're together I literally end up with some new bruise, cut, gash, or injury....."
"And I don't expect that to change..." There's a certain solemnness in voice as he continues analyzing the situation as only he would.
"But I don't want that to change." He'd place his thumb and index finger raising her chin making sure she their eyes met.
"You are the only woman in this godforsaken world that I've had these feelings for. I love the fact that when you're embarrassed you punch me in the chest. I love that we can argue about literally anything in the world, just for the sake of opposing each other. I love the adventures we get into despite the injuries. I love how loud you get when someone says something stupid. I love how you push me forward to be better at whatever I'm doing. I love how you never admit when you're wrong, and I love how cocky you are when you're right. I love the threats. I love how your eyes twinkle when you get your way. I love the passion you have when you're in the middle of battle. I love how you can almost instantly calm me and just as quickly infuriate me. I love how focused you are when it comes to your goals, I love that stupid arrogant laugh when you win a battle. and I love that pouty scowl and attitude you have when you lose. I love how you fight to hide your feelings for your pride. I love how telling your eyes are, I love how no matter what setbacks you come across you power through the situation and I love how you inspire strength not only in me, but in each of your pokemon, and even my own."
"So Vivian if it isn't fucking clear at this point. Let me say it loud enough for you and the rest of this damn region to hear."
And so with a cruel grin on his face, he'd turn to face the river cupping his hands over his mouth for added volume.
"VIVIAN MOORE I AM MADLY IN-FUCKING-LOVE WITH YOU. I'VE BEEN IN LOVE WITH YOU SINCE WE WERE CAUGHT IN THAT STUPID FUCKING CAVE. I WANT TO TRAIN WITH YOU, I WANT TO FIGHT WITH YOU AND I WANT TO SUCCEED WITH YOU. NO ONE ELSE. JUST YOU. NOT Frederick Ferdinand , NOT noelani palm , NOT ASHLEY LEE , JUST YOU."
Out of breath, he'd continue his tirade voice lowering significantly now, "No one... is.. perfect." through raspy breaths he'd finish. But there's no one I'd rather be with than you."
And with that he's finally ready to get beaten down.

clever as the devil but twice as pretty ____________________
Seeing him squirm over the simple word of 'marriage' was...hilarious. It took everything in the woman not to immediately burst out laughing upon seeing that first bit of alarm that went through his features. What possibly surprised her most was...that he didn't reject her proposal outright. She wasn't sure whether to be honored or give him a serious talking to later - but, damn, this was hilarious! It was only a matter of time until her serious face was dropped in favor of clutching her sides, a taunting smirk played along her lips as she laughed. His dejected voice of realization at her little 'tease' only made that smirk grow deeper, as much of a jerk-like move that it was. She couldn't help it, it wasn't all that often that she got such a surefire 'win' over the man. She opened her mouth to possibly 'apologize' in some sort of way...until he mentioned 'punishment'.
Had any other person dared to say such a thing to her, she'd likely would've scoffed - if not laughed in their face...probably egged them on and encourage them to. But...with Azad? That...was a bit more troubling. He knew her - and he knew how to get under her skin. He didn't have to use sharp words or violent actions to try and get her to yield like most would...And that was pretty damn bad. Despite her concerns though, the female only smirked, giving an idle shrug with a clear challenge in the violet depths of her eyes.
Still...she was happy. Despite the doubts that brewed - doubts she'd eventually ask him about - she was content. Their bantering, her taunting, Azad's annoyance...Even if she wanted to hate it, how could she? It was so...them.
As they began to their descent, thus ending their almost magical - and emotion high - ride, the girl faltered on her question, unsure what to say, or how to finish it. It was a pathetic question, one that didn't fit someone like her. She was supposed to be tough, uncaring. Why should she have cared if Azad suddenly 'didn't like her' one day? If anything, she should've laughed if such a thing were to occur, just like she would any other. And yet, the woman could only, internally, laugh bitterly at herself, if anything. As much as she tried to act indestructible, she was far from it. And coming to realize her feelings for the man, she was beginning to realize that as well.
When they landed, the tense air remained, and neither of them moved. She opened her mouth to probably tell him to disregard what she said - ready to throw another 'just kidding' out there, but, she was immediately silenced when the man began to speak. His exasperated words made her twitch, that explosive temper of hers flaring as he began to list her many...traits. Most negative. Her stare turned quickly into a glower as sharp as knives, mouth opening once more - possibly to tell him off - but, pausing as the man took a...different tone. A very, very different tone. Instead of continuing on about the many, many unfavorable traits she possessed, Azad instead began to speak of the things he loved about her, making her eyes widen slightly in sheer shock.
With her chin lightly gripped between his two fingers, she was unable to look nor pull away, forced to stare up at him as she was showered in a wave of nothing but the man's true warmth and affection for her. And, for once, she couldn't refuse nor push it away. Each sentence made those warm, fuzzy feelings that lingered inside of her grow. That once sharp, almost murderous glower she gave him slowly softening into one of disbelief. "Azad..." She couldn't help but whisper, a small, yet exasperated smile coming onto her lips. Why did he always have to go above and beyond with things like this? How did he always know how to get rid of any doubt she felt with just a few, idiotic sentences? It was beyond annoying, and yet, she'd have it no other way. Every moment more she spent with him...it was starting to become more and more apparent as to how, and why, she fell for him. After all, who else but Azad could find such things lovable about her? And she was happy for that - she'd have it no other way.
...Unfortunately for her, that slowly forming smile of hers soon dropped when she realized what he said - or more like, what he planned on doing.
He wouldn't. He wouldn't dare.
Before she could even threaten him to 'not before she shoved her fist down his throat,' the man began to shout his profound love to her for all to hear. "You bastard," the girl partially hissed underneath her breath despite the surprisingly sweet 'message' he said. Her face was a dark red in color - possibly with anger or embarrassment....likely both. And then, unsurprisingly enough, she snapped. It seemed being unable to do anything to him while they flew really built up.
"You IDIOT SHUT THE FUCK UP!" Sheer embarrassment coursed through her, unable to be paused even by his sweet words. In one fluid moment, she had effectively punched the man on the top of his head - none too gently at that. Before she could follow up with another swing, she was able to stop herself, blinking at the man once. Then twice. "Ah...oops." Her voice lacked even the slightest bit of an apologetic tone though.
In fact, her eyes soon narrowed as she realized just all the incredibly bold, incredibly punishable acts the man had committed since their flight here. Sweet words or not...they needed to be dealt with. "Actually."
"You stupid god damned fucking dumbass - I seriously, really, hate you." 'Thanks for everything,' She aggressively shouted at the man, delivering a rather harsh punch to his shoulder - followed by another - but this time, to his stomach. Sliding away from where she'd been in his embrace, she huffed, brushing herself off. Despite her...violent actions and words, there was no denying the ghost of a smile on her lips.
And even if she said nothing in regards to his spiel of words, there really was no need to. The brief, grateful look that shone in her eyes to the warmth that radiated from them - for him said plenty, more than words ever could've.
A hand briefly stroked down the smooth, sapphire hued scales of the resting dragon - a rare form of thanks from her, before she regarded Azad once more. "You're so damned lucky that I - somewhat - like and care for you. Otherwise, your jaw would've been broken...nerd." She huffed, arms crossing, that familiar, stupid, cocky smirk back on her lips.

His body aches more than a little after the quick combo she delivers, but thankfully he seems to have finally gotten his full point across to the girl. And so after his outburst and her responding to it the woman would hop off his lap moving to thank the sapphire dragon who'd simply watched his trainer get beaten up with mild interest not moving in the slightest to help the silver-haired trainer. Simply nestling the woman as she rubbed a hand against it. Azad can't help but make a snarky remark to the dragon rubbing his head, "Protected me like a true friend, Kreiss thanks." The intelligent dragon would simply ignore the trainer until Vivian stepped away. Flashing that grin of hers shining in the moonlight, he couldn't see a reality where that smile didn't melt him on sight. With a sigh he makes his way to the dragon now, Really, I owe you Kreiss. Thank you friend."
With that he'd give the pokemon an option to sleep in the pokeball or in the river. The pokemon seeing as it was so late already would choose the later diving into the depths of the water. As it rose glancing at the trainer Azad would point to the deck of the pokemon center. "Meet on the deck after dawn." The dragon would cry a quick affirmative before diving deeper into the lake finding a place to rest for the evening leaving the two trainers alone on the beach.
"I suppose this is my new 'normal'." The trainer despite the slight aches that he'd felt listened to the girl finally admit she liked him. Before moving across the sands. making his way to the pokemon center.
"Yes, yes. Now come on girlfriend, I do hope to get 'some' sleep tonight." Saying it aloud again couldn't help but cause a smile to form. It was the most unlikely pair truly, but they were there for each other through thick and thin and while he said it before the fact would cement itself further in his own mind. Azad wouldn't have it any other way.

That infuriating smirk of the brunette only grew at the sapphire scaled dragon's attitude towards his own trainer, as Vivian couldn't resist but giving a little snicker. It was a bit humorous how Azad's pokemon were also the only other she tolerated and seemed to genuinely like, aside from her own...It was funny how things turned out, honestly. Speaking of which, perhaps she could convince him later to let her see Fai - er...because Asta missed him. Definitely because of Asta.
She watched from the corner of her eyes as the dragonair mystically disappeared beneath the cool depths of the water with a soft 'splash' sound before turning back towards Azad as he joined her by her side. She let out a slight scoff at his half complaint, a casual shrug of her shoulders being given despite the fact that she had definitely just beat him up. "Your fault." She said nonchalantly, although, it didn't take a genius to hear the smugness in her tone either. Unfortunately for her, it seemed even her punches weren't enough to keep the silver haired man down, as she briefly paused at the mere mention of the world 'girlfriend', her cheeks threatening to warm up once more had she not made an effort to control her embarrassment. That definitely didn't stop her from shooting the man a warning glance - she wasn't afraid nor felt no guilt in striking a man whilst he's down.
Despite this, the girl would simply reply, "not your girlfriend," before brushing past him and taking the lead - as per usual. Maybe one day she'd admit to the fact that...yes. They technically were a couple. But, unfortunately for Azad, that day was not today. "Don't fall too far behind, criminal." She impatiently told him, that iconic smirk of hers making its return - and she also found herself becoming quite fond of that new nickname of his. After all, he had 'stolen' something from her, no?
The pokemon center wasn't far from where they'd been dropped off at all. After a minute or two of walking, the large, pristine center stood tall and proud, looking lively despite it being so late at night. With their newest resting place finally in sight, Vivian began to realize just...how tired she was. Not just physically, but, emotionally as well. Today had certainly been...well, a day.
Approaching the nurse that was stationed, the woman greeted the two trainers with a smile. "Hello! How can I help you two today? Are you perhaps renting a room for the night?" Vivian tried to ignore the nurses' overly perky attitude - that didn't make it any less annoying though.
"Yeah."
"A room for two?"
"Mmh...Nah, make it one." The brunette casually responded without waiting for an input from her companion. In her mind, there was no reason to pay for two separate rooms, especially if they were...well, 'together'. In fact, that made the decision make even more sense to her. Granted, Vivian also realized that very few people shared a mindset like her...which was stupid in its own right, given how she was rarely wrong but...eh, each to his own.
But still, if nerd boy had a problem with it, she'd sleep on the floor - honestly, she didn't care either way. But, she wouldn't deny that this was the perfect opportunity to mess and annoy the man even more than usual. Besides, she knew Azad was bold but...she doubted he was that bold. Or that stupid. Unless he wanted to wake up missing a certain important part of him the next day, she was positive he'd remember to keep his hands to himself.

"Oh then what would you prefer me call you. Actually don't answer cause I'm gonna call you my girlfriend anyways."
He'd cross his arms walking beside the woman arms crossed absolutely stubborn about something so minor if only cause he knew it'd embarrassed her every time the word left his lips. As they walked to the Pokemon Center he'd finally grab his jacket refusing to zip the coat now it's tail blowing in the wind as the two moved. There was no hand holding as the two walked but smiles were flashed back and forth as the two chatted about honestly whatever in the two minutes leading up to the pokemon center. Honestly, this was probably the best example of their relationship. The two would move forward together parallel to each other. They'd remain independent they were also simply together. They wouldn't be that couple that constantly needed to hold hands or use physical means to prove they were in love with each other. No their bond wasn't better or worse, their bond was just different.
An eyebrow raises as she refers back to a new nickname of his, one he accepts with a bit of pride. If she was the executioner then he had to be the criminal. It made sense, and it was cool in a sense not to mention he was 'her' criminal and if that wasn't cute than he didn't know what was. The florescent lights of the pokemon center were jarring after having dealt with the darkness of night for so long prior. Almost immediately upon stepping in a long yawn fills his lungs eyes falling upon the few trainers lounging around in the lobby. The two waste no time making their way to the counter where the nurse sat looking over some documents stopping only when the two trainers arrive at her counter.
Pokemon centers were always known for their chipper service regardless of the time of day, and this one was no different the nurse in front of them keeping her voice just as pleasant as any other despite their late intrusion. He doesn't need to speak as Vivian was adamant about handling the details of their rooming situation. He figured they'd get two separate rooms, there was no need to change that and so his gaze is focused on the few trainers he'd seen earlier some reading, some playing quietly with their pokemon others simply lounging and the comfortable lobby. When the nurse offers a single room two bed Vivian denies it immediately calling forth a small nod from the man, only for eyes to widen his voice slightly more urgent than he intended it to be when the woman gives the alternative.
"Excuse me?" The nurse would look up at the two eying the silver haired trainer for a moment a grin growing on the nurses face one Azad didn't appreciate in the slightest before finishing up the transaction.
Before he could even protest to his extremely bold girlfriend the woman had received two card-keys to their room and wandered off towards the second floor. Azad following quickly behind her beginning to panic. So much so he'd completely ignored the nurses wishes offering the two a nice evening implying something that Azad couldn't even begin to think about with flushing.
"Aren't you moving a little fast Vivian. I don't know what exactly your thinking, but I don't think this is your best idea. We've been through a lot today, but I'm not prepared I don't even have...." He'd pause for a moment, unable to even finish the thought."Look I just don't think it's healthy to move so quickly. Not to say I don't want to, you're the prettiest girl in the world, but I don't want to do this the wrong way and I don't think this is..."
Before he could finish the two were at the assigned room.

Resisting the urge to punch the stubborn man once more as he decided that'd he stick to calling her his 'girlfriend', Vivian only let out a slight 'tch'. He was lucky she was tired - else he would've definitely had a black eye by the time the night was over with. At the very least, he had accepted her 'nickname' for him without putting up too much of a fight...not that it really mattered. She was positive that Azad knew by now how pointless it was to argue with her when her mind was made.
With that, the two trainers had made their way into the pokecenter, intent on finding somewhere to rest for the night...And they did. Unfortunately, it seemed like sleeping arrangements were going to be a 'problem'.
Initially ignoring Azad's baffled reply as she finished making the arrangements concrete with the nurse, the duo were given the key cards to use for their room. Without waiting for the man to speak his complaints - or if he started to she certainly wasn't listening - the woman strode forward, heading towards their room with a rather stoic expression. Now following behind her, the silver haired man had finally began to speak his concerns - which, at first, made the brunette feel...confused? What the hell was he going on about? She'd gotten them a room, the fuck was the problem? Slight irritation had began to surge inside of her as she resisted the urge to tell the babbling, flustered man to 'shut up'.
Until she realized just what he was rambling on about.
Pausing in front of the door of their room, she finally turned to look at him, hand resting on her hip as she regarded him with a blank, yet annoyed, expression....which slowly but surely was becoming a small smirk. What? Seeing him slowly freaking out about this of all things was...hilarious. And, honestly, the girl had half the mind to taunt him and see how far she could take this...But, the poor man looked as though he were about to keel himself over with worrying about the situation....Still though...
Ah, what the hell - why not? His reactions were hilarious, and honestly, she was...curious. Curious if 'this' would work.
A frown on her lips, the one stepped closer to the man - dangerously close. Given he was taller than her by a bit, she had to lean forward onto her tippy toes ever so slightly. Violet eyes narrowed into slight slits, her hand captured his chin in a motion similar to how he'd done to her. This time however, it was much more...fiery - and a bit rougher. Eyes glowering into his bright emerald ones, their lips nearly touched for a second time that night from how close they were. "What? You don't like me in that way, Azad? Really...?"
They remained in this precarious position for moments longer, with the obviously tired, yet, determined girl glowering into his eyes, warm breath flush against each others lips...until she abruptly pulled away, back turned towards him as she opened the door, a single word coming from her lips, "Kidding." Even with her back turned towards him as she walked into the cozy little room, one could partially hear the 'smirk' in her tone.
Deciding she had had her 'fun', Vivian soon decided to 'explain' her logic to him in the best way she could. "I don't want to do that with you, dumbass. We're just sharing a bed - it's not that big of a deal. Unless you're really that much of a pervert." She quirked a brow at him as she finally turned to look at the pale haired man from over her shoulder.

There was nothing in life that'd prepared Azad for this moment. When she turns around with half-lidded eyes violet irises barely visible he's stopped dead in his tracks. Any arguments he'd had, any words he could possibly muster were stripped from him by the fiery spirited girl, her frown masking a number of other emotions and possible implications. This is all to say Azad didn't stand a quarter of a chance against the woman.
He'd become putty in her hands, and she knew it. If the silver-haired man could see himself surely from the third person he'd have disowned any part of spirit that caught him looking so shaken. He can't even keep his full gaze on the woman, taken off guard like this his gaze would constantly flit from her to the the door never looking directly into her eyes as if she were medusa her possibly turning him into stone. It's only when her fingers reach for his chin just grazing him that emerald is forced to meet scarlet. His tilts forward body rigid now as slender fingers guide not only his gaze, but his full body closer to the puppet master who had him by the strings.
There's nervousness in his eyes, but even more there's curiosity, excitement, fear and too many other complex emotions mixing and intermingling culminating in this anxious 'want' for whatever she planned to do next. Any witty or snarky remark the man would have typically made was replaced with extremely humble stuttering as she decides to ask a question.
"N-no I.. What I..."
She leans in closer leaving the two centimeters apart, so much so he can feel her breath brush on his lips, cutting off any chance of the man making even an incoherent response, leaving him in complete silence anxiety and anticipation rising with each passing second until, finally....
"Kidding.
Abruptly the girl would move into the room now leaving the man completely and entirely dumbfounded at the door. His head falls to a slight angle as the man attempts to process what exactly happened as the woman explained how she was comfortable with sharing a bed, and how ultimately it just wasn't that deep. Burning red now with pure unadulterated embarrassment most would expect a Azad to almost classically yell about how childish she was in an effort to hide what he'd felt masking it with anger or annoyance. And while the urge to yell was definitely high, higher than it'd been in a long time and while his blood boiled biting at the chance for an argument. Azad surprisingly wouldn't wouldn't combust managing to keep himself almost uncharacteristically calm. His voice remained level a deep breathe further relaxing as he moved from the event in question his expression returning to something more neutral despite the tinges of red still fading from his complexion.
"So it's like that? Ok."
He'd let the embarrassment eat at him internally now promising himself vengeance as he walked in the room himself even managing to offer the woman a small smile congratulating her for this temporary victory.
"You have some guts for pulling that one off, You definitely got me." a nonchalant response that found itself vocal while the professor removed his bag placing it and his coat on a chair in the cozy room before checking out their room as a whole. The two lucked out with a fairly nice room in all honestly, it was a little tight, but it came with an outdoor balcony overlooking the lake. The sunrise would be a site to see if he managed to wake up early enough, though looking at the clock and how late it was made the possibility resemble something more akin to an unlikely feat.
From his bag he'd pull out a pair of shorts and a towel halfway turning to the woman planning his revenge, "Do you plan on taking a shower, or you heading straight to sleep?" He didn't mind if the woman decided for or against, but really the man needed to cool off it'd also serve as solid 'revenge' planning time. Still he'd let his girlfriend go first if she wanted. Regardless of who went when he would simply continue to focus on his plans ardently refusing to let the woman's 'prank' go unpunished.

clever as the devil but twice as pretty ____________________
His reaction to her had been...priceless. It was one Vivian would never forget. She was, by no means, a seductress. She was too brash - too violent, too tomboyish usually. It usually just ended up being much easier to threaten someone anyway. But...Azad? How could she not resist trying once the opportunity showed itself? Seeing that confused look in his emerald eyes to his inability to even form a reply...It was great. And it wasn't often that the girl was able to shock the male into silence - he was one of the very few who could keep up with her sharp sarcasm. It was one of the reasons why she respected him, honestly. But, that didn't make it any less satisfying when she was able to shut him down for once.
To her surprise though, a screaming contest between them didn't start at the little 'trick' she had pulled. She had fully expected them to stay up for another hour, arguing pointlessly until one of them fell asleep and the other followed suite - hell, she might've even been looking forward to it. But, unfortunately for her, the male was...quiet. Not exactly the reaction she had expected but...Oh god - had she broke him? But, she was soon greeted with a small smile as the pale haired man walked forward and into their shared rented room. She rose a brow, as if not trusting it...She fully expected him to blow up any moment now.
But, he never did.
In fact, he commended her on her 'victory', making an eyebrow quirk and a look of slight distrust swim in her confused violet gaze. Was...he up to something? 'Tch. Bring it.' The girl would only arrogantly think to herself, a sly, victorious smirk slipping onto her lips. "Of course I did. And it was worth it. Your face was hilarious." She didn't hesitate in showing off her 'victory'. She nearly wanted to tease the man further - to insist that if he wanted to, they could...But, she wouldn't be so cruel to him. Not just yet, anyway. That didn't stop her from giving him a little wink though. What? He had had his fun whilst they were flying - it was only fair she got to return the favor.
Setting down her things, she blinked at his question. "Shower," she yawned softly, stretching a bit as she brushed her hair from her face. Without looking back at the man, she grasped her change of clothes and a towel, heading towards the connected bathroom. "If you want to join me, I don't mind. Killing two pidove's with one stone, y'know?" Despite the nonchalant tone of her voice, it was clear she was teasing, and one could nearly hear the smirk in her voice. With that, the brunette headed into the bathroom to take a shower.
The water was...divine. It was incredibly hot - and a perfect way to wring out the soreness of her body from her constant travels. It nearly made her want to stay in the bathroom even longer...But, she wasn't that selfish. Not to mention, it was already late enough as is...The thought of laying on the soft, downy beds the center had to offer...While she was, by no means, spoiled of where she had to sleep, it was nice to lay down in an actual, soft bed for once. Whilst in the shower, she couldn't help but reflect on this eventful day - most it was, surprisingly enough, not completely horrible. Today...she had realized that even someone like her could fall, hopelessly, for someone, regardless of how irritating, or repulsive, the idea of it was. She had learned that caring like this for someone wasn't...bad. At all. And she had realized that she wanted to give whatever 'this' was a try.
After exiting the shower, she nearly wanted to just...walk out in the room with just a towel or something - would Azad mind? Was that appropriate? Ugh, this was irritating. After arguing internally with herself to put some actual clothes on, Vivian finally departed from the bathroom. Mist dampened the room, the sweet smell of some sort of flower radiating from her as she brushed her now slightly wet hair from her eyes. Instead of her usual, casual nighttime attire of just a tank top and some shorts, she wore a silky nighttime robe instead, something that the center offered. It was nice - comfy...Even if it was pink.
"The showers all yours," Vivian yawned once more as she passed by the man - her boyfriend - , heading on her way towards their shared bed.
