Ed breathes and lives for being a trainer, it’s his passion and his goal to be the strongest he can be. But while being amidst the heat of battle and facing an insurmountable challenge gets his blood boil in excitement like nothing else it’s not his whole reason for being a trainer.

Well it is a large part of it but he also has a sense of wanderlust and wants to explore and enjoy the freedom it offers. In general Ed is rough around the edges, somewhat crass and with a bit of punkish attitude and he likes to keep that image. Though his softer side becomes quite apparent when being around and taking care of Pokémon especially of the younger variety.

If someone manages too look past Edward rough exterior he projects they’d be able to find a steady fast friend that has his own way of showing appreciation and that he cares to those around him. He is more then likely to get along with people of similar interest as him, the main thing being a dedicated trainer.

As long as the person is trying to the upmost Ed will be willing to show some respect and try to get along to a degree even if the targets personally is grating to him. He will still be snappish at them and might get annoyed at the person behavior but it would be more subdued kind of.

There is a lot of things that make Ed dislike someone from being too cheerful to too serios and uptight. He can always find something to dislike about a person but what truly matters is the degree of which dislike is. If a person is lazy or just not as dedicated to his calling they would be sure to find themselves higher up on Ed’s metaphorical list.

He does not appreciate entitlement or baseless arrogance, in his mind if you are going to boast you better be ready to put your money where you mouth is and deliver and if not man up to the outcome. Another thing that sets off Edward is quitters and whiners but the one thing that angers him like nothing else is Pokémon abuse.

The signs of knowing when someone is considered strongly despised and even an enemy is when Ed stops being volatile and grow cold instead.

Ed has little to none experience on the romantic side of things. He can be a bit dense or simply just not care about getting intimate with the particular person though persistence despite that can be a coinflip of either succeeding or failing miserably. On the bright side it doesn’t mean it’s the end of the world if an attempt fails as Ed can either forget or just not care later on and still give a chance.

If by chance it’s him falling for someone he can sort of maybe flirt or do something that passes for it kind of. In courting and when in relationship he will be awkward and might fumble but he’ll try to express more with actions then anything else that he does care in his own way.
