It didn't take long at all for Cass to get herself comfortably under her set up, legs hanging past the shaded area of the umbrella. The warmth of the sun on her skin was soothing and the relative solace of the beach seemed to be doing well for her team. The two baby pokemon weren't fighting or yelling at each other and Meowth has already drifted into a restful nap. It was only Queen left keeping a watch on the beach.

The poison type kept a watchful eye along the shoreline, anticipating an opponent soon. Her watch was soon rewarded as a Corpish emerged from the waves and scuttled closer to them. Queen stood up, the bristles of fur along her back standing up right as she growled at the newcomer. "Play nice Queen, I'm sure it just wants to enjoy the day as we are." Cass said, waving her hand dismissively at her pokemon. 

It became quite clear that Queen had no intention of listening. The poison type had proven herself to be quite battle minded, stubbornly single minded in the task of fighting everything they crossed. As she stepped off the beach towel and towards the Corpish Cass sighed and propped herself up.

"Fine, you can go fight the damn thing but you're on your own. Just come back when you're done." Cass said, laying herself back down on the beach towel. She wasn't worried about her pokemon fighting on her own. Queen was proving quite hardy in the short time they had known each other.

With permission granted Queen wasted no time closing the gap between herself and the water type. She launched herself forward with a poison sting, her horn sinking into the hard flesh of the Corpish. The crab like pokemon quickly retaliated with a vice grip, clamping the small blue pokemon in a tight pinch. Queen wasted no time using a double kick to knock herself free, her ability giving her quite a boost in attack.

Realizing he was no match for the hyper aggressive Nidoran the Corpish did the only thing he could do, which was to harden his defenses. Going still he used harden, a seemingly new shine on his body indicating he wouldn't be quite so easy to wound next attack.

Queen didn't care as she came in with another poison sting, the attack not quite as effective the second time. The Corpish shuddered as a sudden wave of sickness coursed through his veins at the attack. With each movement he felt sluggish and sick, the poison effect quite damaging. 

With a little fight left in him he used tackle, weakly slamming into the Nidoran who simply smiled as the movement caused the poison to zap what was left of his health, effectively knocking him out cold. With a triumphant grunt Nidoran returned to her trainer, sitting down on the end of the beach towel and once again watching the horizon for opponents.

Lady had watched the quick battle unfold between Queen and the Corpish and found herself absolutely enthralled with her fellow team mate's ease in battle. At the return of the Nidoran Lady waddled over and planted a happy smooch on Queen's cheek happily. By the stars in her eyes it was clear the baby pokemon looked up to the new member of the team, finding it oh so cool how awesome she was in battle.

So when an Azurill down the beach was minding her own business along the sand Lady went sprinting down the beach in an effort to confront and knock out the pokemon much like her idol had done. Queen merely watched in interest at what was about to unfold, curious to see if their trainer would do anything about what was happening. The gentle snoring of Lord was matched by Cass' and it was apparent that Lady was one her own.

With a war cry Lady let out a train of powder snow, the ice attack knocking back Azurill but only barely. Azurill shook the icicles from her body and turned to fact the attacker. She used bounce, lifting herself almost magically in the air and leaving Lady to flail uselessly below in an attempt to land a pound.

When the Azurill landed again, it was on the Smoochum's head, knocking her back into the sand. Quickly Lady stood back up and used pound again, using the close proximity of the Azurill to land a solid hit along her body. Azurill returned the assault with a bubble. Soon it became a back and forth slap fight of Lady using pound and Azurill using bubble in retaliation until eventually the water type fainted, laying motionless on the sand. Lady cried in delight despite the grievous damage she had taken by an opponent who was stronger than her. The only reason she had won was simply her opponent's weaker defense.

The very much beaten down Lady dragged her wounded body back towards her trainer to sit triumphantly next to Queen. The Nidoran smiled down at the little warrior that Lady had tried to become, licking her tender skin much as her mother had done with her.
