Because the night is young, the line is out the door. Today was crazy but, tonight the city is ours!

Teru has suddenly ended up making another break for it, as was usual for the curious little male these days. Of course this meant that Antreas was tasked with following after his little companion to locate him again. Keeping close tabs on the little bird, he kept jogging along and finally saw Teru decide to stop somewhere. Oh? "Teru!" He called out, closing the last bit of distance finally, getting a look from the little Starly who had stopped on a branch to greet a Taillow that had been there, underneath a man was laying.

"I'm sorry, was he bothering you?" Antreas asked, his voice was by not means soft, but it had a smooth, honey like tone to it. A very light sort of way to speech and almost regal, to a degree. But perhaps that was how one sounded when growing up living among the post, rich sorts. Yet due to his lifestyle, Antreas never ended up the spoiled sort, but learning to value the rewards from hard work and effort. Today had been a nice day and so it was just a pair of pink shorts with yellow bordering and a light blue t-shirt he wore. His hair had been tied up in a ponytail for the little trek he'd been taking as well.

"I'm Antreas, that up there is my new companion, Teru. Apologies for the little disturbance, he loves to run off and investigate new things." Antreas mentioned, with a slight sigh. He looked up, seeing Teru bouncing comically back and forth on the branch to try and entertain the other bird up above them. Well, he seemed to be trying at least. The Starly having fun in his little attempts at this. He looked back down at the man, though, and glanced over at the Charmander that was somewhere nearby.

When the trainer didn't seem upset or bothered by having Teru suddenly appear like he did it gave Antreas a bit of a relieved feeling. That was good, as Antreas really didn't feel like conflict. It wasn't something he had in him all that much. At the offer of a hand, Antreas reached out with a smile and gave a firm shake.

The man had introduced himself as Derek and his Charmander nearby as Zeke. When asked about his destination, Antreas had to think on that. "Mmm... Can't really say for sure. I've been sort of moving to and from places, in all honesty. No specific goal in mind except to keep checking everything out. I arrived here recently from Hoenn, so I don't exactly know the place all that well." He finally explained. He didn't sound all that awkward or anything at admitting all of that, even if he was in a new place that he didn't know about. While many could feel a nervous tension, Antreas instead had an excitement boiling in him, the eagerness to learn everything he could about the new region he'd be living within.

Above them Teru was still bouncing around on the branch in an attempt to entertain the Taillow, hoping to grab a little interest as he would chitter during small intervals. From time to time a flick of the tail and he'd bob his head, spread his wings, whatever. If he could catch the eye, that was all the little Starly sought. Some attention, especially so from another bird as well. It had been a while since he'd met with one after all, so why not enjoy the moment?

A nod came from Antreas in response to what Derek had said. "Certainly a long one, but I think it was worth it. I've always wanted to travel somewhere and see a new place anyway." He mentioned. His dream had certainly come true upon making it to the Johto region, that was for sure. In fact, he did enjoy things here and loved seeing the new world that he had suddenly come to. Much less one he had his own home in as well thanks to the help he received from his parents in obtaining. Although that was all it was, and now Antreas was much more intent on doing things himself from here on out.

When asked about the gym challenge he mulled it over a moment, Antreas having never thought much about it. "Hmmm... I don't really think so. I'm going to aim for being a Breeder. Although, I don't think I want to be projected as the stereotypical sort, where my Pokemon are less suited to battle than an actual Trainer. I'd like for any of my Pokemon to be able to hold their own, especially if a situation ever arose where I couldn't direct them and they had to handle it on their own, it'd benefit to be just as strong as any Pokemon raised by an actual Trainer." Antreas explained his musings on the subject and why he was sort of branching in a slightly different path. He guessed it just meant he was more of a breeder for battling Pokemon in that sense, raising the strongest ones he could, versus just doing so for other non-battling reasons anyway.

Delighted at the response, Teru hopped around a bit more while tweeting cheerily before suddenly flitting to a nearby branch, looking back to see if the Taillow was going to follow. Though he then returned to the one prior, and again repeated the process by making his way back to the branch he'd gone to yet again. It was a bit of an invitation to a little game of the sorts, wanting to play a bit with this new friend he seemed to be making of the Taillow.
