Her respectful bow was thrown away for a quiver-lipped smile as she righted herself, little hands pressed at her cheeks as her eyes brimmed with grateful tears, absolutely touched that the spider was willing. Suddenly she was bowing repeatedly as the spider handed over the Pikipek, unable to contain her appreciation.[break][break] Palm was proving much more composed than her partner. Her somber expression melted into a gentle smile, brows creased lightly over her eyes as she reached her hands carefully for the terrified bird, cradling its body to her chest in hopes of quelling its fears. Her gaze dropped to the pokémon, the girl still at her knees as she gazed over its injuries, only slowly moving to stand so as not to disturb the family rested along the webs in the cave. But she could sense something was wrong. By now the bird would have settled.[break][break] Brows pinched lightly, calm green eyes shifting to settle on the Dewpider in knowing regret - not for the trust she had extended - but for the fact that the nest would think nothing of taking advantage of another's kindness.[break][break] She didn't move to withdraw as her body found itself bound tight in a prison of webs, disappointed stare still rest soft on the Dewpider as the Pikipek flailed frantically against her body. Chanchan recoiled at the sight, her eyes going wide as they locked to the trapped companion at her side, stunned by the action she never would have suspected the pokémon to take.[break][break] ❝ Stay back, ❞ she managed before the shot of Araquanid's liquidation sent her Chansey shooting back toward the entrance, a brief cry of pain escaping the empty-pouched pokémon before her back struck against an unexpectedly soft surface, NURSE JOY 's body.[break][break] As soon as the words were spoken, Noelani was gone. The membrane of Araquanid's bubble eased swiftly to swallow up her body, the bound young woman holding her breath as the cool water took her in, surrounding her to leave her suspended near the pokemon's skull. She wouldn't fight to try and escape the water-filled bubble, keeping herself relaxed so as to conserve breath and energy for when it would truly count.[break][break] Her eyes turned their gaze to center on the Araquanid's stare, curious and somber in disagreement as she float useless in its grasp, hands a protective shield over the Pikipek that was sure not to last much longer. Despite her situation, she didn't look to have given up.[break][break] The warm tingle of psychic energy around her figure pulled her gaze back toward the entrance, a streak of crimson signalling the arrival of one of the group's pokémon. Azad 's Scizor, most likely. She noted the world was shifting around her, and as her gaze dropped to the growing poisonous swamp of the floor, she understood. Though, how it got there she couldn't say for certain.[break][break] As the psychic energy commanded by Frederick Ferdinand 's Yanmega tore her back toward the entrance she bowed her head, curling herself to the best of her ability as she braced to pierce through the thin shell of the watery sphere. A splash echoed through the cavern as she was yanked free from the predator's bubble, her eyes pulling themselves open a short way as she took her moment in the air to draw a fresh breath into her chest.[break][break] ❝ Do you know roost? ❞ she questioned toward Pikipek, attention rolling to settle on the towering form of the Araquanid still looming a serious threat at their side. With the pokémon already rest safely in the wrap of her arms and the softness of her chest, there was a chance it would be able to recuperate some of its energy.[break][break] All the while, Chanchan was little more than a hysterical mess, arms reaching frantic for the cavern's mouth in desperation as she begged to aid her trainer, her cries muffled by NURSE JOY 's Chansey as she shoved a soft boiled egg down her throat, forcing her recovery. Chanchan didn't fight her sister's efforts, tears gathered at the corners of her eyes as she managed to maintain some amount of control over herself, quiet, brokenhearted sobs escaping her lips between each bite as she stared toward the cavern.[break][break] She'd have run forward in a heartbeat if not for her trainer's previous instruction. The gentle pats were doing little to ease her worries.[break][break] Noelani and Pikipek weren't out of the cavern just yet.[break][break] Noelani traded ritual offering for Pikipek![break] Noelani sensed something amiss![break][break]Noelani gave Dewpider a somber glance![break][break] Chanchan was knocked out of the cave![break] NURSE JOY broke Chanchan's fall![break][break] Noelani and pikipek became trapped![break] Noelani gave araquanid a look of solemn disapproval![break][break] Noelani and pikipek were pulled free by Frederick Ferdinand 's Yanmega!![break][break] noelani asked pikipek to use roost![break][break] chanchan ATE soft boiled eggs under the care of NURSE JOY 's chansey![break] Chanchan was restored to health![break]

[attr="class","nfbase"] [attr="class","nftop"] [attr="class","nficon"] [attr="class","nfboxbase"] like a wasted zombie i stumble [attr="class","nfbox"]a back leaned upon the bark a tree near the oranguru who spoke through telepathy. the sound of screams, terror, shifting, and rustling noises echoed near the outskirts of the cavern. "i wonder how they're doing," zombie softly spoke. a gaze narrowed as he idly scanned the forestry that resided before him. "man i'm tired," zombie, yawning, adorned an idle expression. picking his a nail on the right of his hand. an idle expression remained fixed with boredom. "this is lame..." though, he didn't regret staying with the talking monkey. an blank stare watching the oranguru several feet away. zombie, wondering, how long has this pokemon exactly been here? this island must be old as time itself. did it really live here in this forest? seems boring, this is boring, but that monkey? it wasn't boring. everyone needed to hurry back though, he wanted to get out of here as fast as possible--or rather, back home. he wondered what exactly what was that large bastard ken up to. probably lost like a snubbull. "oi, oranguru!" he called out to. "can you send me home, i'm bored." zombie dryly stated, kicking a stick to the side of him. "got any games? do you know any games? maybe some hand games? you gotta have something around here to entertain yourself." zombie spoke. "you can't just sit there all day with your little friend eating bananas, ah? tell me something about the island, gimme a story--or answer my question." intently staring directly at the oranguru, an eerie gaze befell unto the pokemon. "who..." zombie paused with suspense, "...do you think had the biggest bazookas on them? the goth nurse or that lady with the green hair who looks tired all the time?" zombie, with a serious expression, asked. feeling the air with the palm of his hands as though he were attempting to touch something. "wait...are you even male or female?" he questioned the monkey once more. the oranguru could merely ignore zombie or entertain him for the time being. regardless, the moneky was stuck with both he and his shenanigans--among with one more person had he, too, not gone with the group. the man in glasses so to speak. note: hung back with the oranguru. is asking him a volley of questions and bothering the poor monkey while keeping his distance and waiting for the group to get back. unsure if ALEXANDER LOWELL is with zombie or not, but left it open for aaron to determine his choice since he probably won't have time to read everything and may want an easier route to re-enter on. It seemed that things were going well enough all things considered. The dire situation at least felt like it was under control as each member of the group put their pokemon to use to try and solve the problem quickly and efficiently. Azad 's Scizor took advantage of it's hardy metallic shell and impressive speed and power to get in and out of the cave while proving to be quite the distraction. NURSE JOY 's pokemon helped to keep the injured pokemon in good health, both Chanchan and the pikpek that was still floating through the cavern. And he of course provided support in the rescue, impeding and likely damaging the swarm of arachnids while assisting in distracting the big one. ALEXANDER LOWELL and Zombie were as useless as expected, but he knew better than to depend on either of them anyway so he at least wasn't disappointed. Frederick's eyes moved away from noelani palm and the bird, his focus turning toward Tiny for a brief moment. It seemed that he had recovered from the attack, staring at his hand with an expression that conveyed both wonder and longing. He had no idea what this power was, but he already missed the warm feeling that it sent through his body. It was likely he would never wield such power again, and that was a truly depressing thought for the poisonous pokemon. "As soon as they're out you will assist in using hyper beam on the entrance." The nidoking simply nodded, allowing his arm to fall to his side as he took a deep breath and began to gather up power within his mouth. He couldn't dwell on it anymore, instead focusing on the task at hand. With that preparation in place he would reach over to place a hand on the side of Race's head, giving him an encouraging pat. "Come on now Race. Get them out of there!" With his trainer's words spurring him on the large insect's wings would start to beat more rapidly, causing a low hum to rumble through the area. As he did the floating researcher would suddenly pick up speed, as if an invisible cord binding them together had been yanked on to reel them in. With that burst of effort noelani palm and the pikpek that was bound to her would be pulled from the mouth of the cave, at which point everything seemed to go off at once. The moment Nero and Palm were safe Tiny would unleash a powerful beam of energy at the area above the cave's entrance, yet held back enough that the hyper beam wouldn't completely obliterate any of the rocks it came into contact with. At the same time Mirai Soleil would spring into action as well, pushing back any dewpiders that had managed to make their way from the sludge beneath them and make their way toward the entrance. It was a bit disappointing, the girl seeming to prefer a more passive approach to the situation. But she was contributing, so he couldn't outright scold the young girl for doing what she thought was best. Even if it was a naive decision. As the cacophony of attacks would go off Frederick would turn to the monferno on his shoulders, raising his voice so the pokemon could hear him. "Use your tail and your claws to free Palm. Carefully." With a quick nod the acrobatic ape would leap from Fred's shoulder to the ground near noelani palm , who Race was holding in an upright position with his psychic. Lowering the intensity of the flame on his tail a bit the monferno would carefully control manipulate his flaming appendage to sear the webbing without damaging the flesh underneath. At the same time his claws would be tearing at the webs with the same amount of care, the combination of the two hopefully enough to free the woman in a reasonable amount of time. TLDR
- Had Tiny (Nidoking) prepare a hyper beam for after everyone had made it out.
- Encouraged Race (Yanmega) to get noelani palm and Pikpek out of danger, giving him the burst of strength he needed to quickly reel them in.
- Tiny released his hyperbeam once Palm, Pikpek, Azad and Nero were all out of harm's way.
- Noted Mirai Soleil 's decision to try and spare the dewpiders, which he thought to be a naive decision.
- Had Curry (Monferno) start freeing noelani palm and pikpek from the webbing using his claws and flaming tail.
- Race is currently using psychic to hold noelani palm in an upright position to allow Curry to free her while trying to keep her comfortable. What a considerate bug.

Divided a portion of their group would explore the trial set up by the sage pokemon, Oranguru. Left behind with the only one who deciphered his facade. Had they been equipped with the experimental glitch balls the outcome of their venture would have been worthwhile. Breaking character the administrator would stroke back his ebony mane and remove his glasses. Opulent orbs challenging the Oranguru intellect. [break][break]
"Enough games." words directed at the pair of baboons before him, calling back his Absol to its pokeball he called forth his strongest pokemon. A flash of red as Umbreon and Espeon was summoned from their dormant slumber, golden circles and crimson eyes flashed with dark energy. Battle had broken out inside the cavern the fools had adventured into. Such weak hearts to be caught in his web of deceit. [break][break]
With a single command the two pokemon would attack the entrance of the cavern. Starting to break apart the rocks that formed the entrance with their weakened state from hyper beam. Alexander could play it off as the sage pokemon betraying the party as the Oranguru was left before the two trainers. "No more interruptions. Answer me this sage, why bring us here?" the administrator called upon Oranguru for an answer. To be tested could be done by merit of gym battle. [break][break]
After the attack upon the entrance he focused his pokemon attention on the sage pokemon, they did not attack the ancient pokemon but prepared to react to the ape attacking them.[break][break]
TL:DR [ stayed with zombie, collapsed the cave entrance with pokes, demanded answers from resident donkey kong ]

[nospaces] [attr="class","Vgentempbox"] [attr="class","Vgentemptitle"]The Impertinent [attr="class","Vgentempdiv"] [attr="class","Vgentempheader"]event 002. Beginning [break][break] What marvelous, if not brutal, teamwork you all showed! The quick thinking to the unique usage of your fragile z-move...Whomever it was that guided you along this mysterious destiny was certainly pleased. True - some might've found your tactics odd. Sometimes too merciful, and sometimes, too merciless. But, you survived...and that was always the most important thing in the end...right? [break][break] Perhaps the choice to cause the cave-in was necessary - or maybe it wasn't. Either way, it was loud. And it alerted something dangerous within the island of your presence. [break][break] Azad 's Scizor would bravely cut his way through the web infested lair, his sharpened body easily slicing through the maze of spiderwebs. Several Dewpiders would try to slow the pokemon down. Some were successful in landing Bubble Beams or attempting to shoot sticky webs onto Scizor - but, were otherwise plowed through. It's only thanks to their typing that some are not instantly knocked out by Scizor's boosted attack. The red blur managed to gain the attention of the Araquanid, as she hissed threateningly upon the bug/steel types pincers being bashed to her face in a 'Superpower' attack. Almost immediately though, the pokemon would be blasted back with a Liquidation placed squarely to his chest. [break][break] All the while, a sudden burst of power would engulf the stocky form of Frederick Ferdinand 's Nidoking, briefly fueling him with a power of a move threatened to rival even that of a legendary. After witnessing the jovial man do an odd - perhaps almost amusing - dance, Nidoking would strike forth with an intense strength, forcing the lair to submit to its venomous Z-move, Acidic Downpour. Screeches echoed from the lair as they were forced to bear witness of the poisonous onslaught, their bodies being dragged into the toxic swamp created by the Nidoking. Heavily damaged, the Araquanid would try to use Wide Guard in an attempt to lower the damage for both herself and her children. It was too late for some - as they were submerged under the toxic substance, knocked out. [break][break] Thankfully, Frederick's assumption was correct. The Araquanid was far too focused on the destruction at hand to notice her prey being pulled from out of her watery membrane. Ignoring both noelani palm and the Pikipek, the spider focused on ushering her massive body forward and towards the entrance of their lair, which was now beginning to crumble thanks to outside interference. Teamwork from the combined efforts of everyone, save the two criminals who decided to hang with the ape, merged into nothing but sheer success. The entrance began to collapse, as did the rest of the lair...which was to be expected when one fired out hyper beams. The sheer power of all the attacks was all too much for the surprisingly delicate home of the spiders, and it soon began to groan and rumble as it was brought to the ground.[break][break] noelani palm 's careful ushering, the terrified Pikipek used roost recovering some of its horrendous injuries as it cuddled close to the professor, softly chirping. Thankfully, NURSE JOY 's smart decision to use Wish, the pokemon would be fully healed after several moments. Chirping out encouragements to Frederick Ferdinand 's Yanmega as he carried them, they'd be successfully saved. Well done, Team Impertinent. [break][break] However, your troubles don't end just yet. Araquanid and her children surged forward. There were much more Dewpider's than earlier, thanks to the sudden collapse of their home which brought them from their hiding places. The massive spider herself looked sickly - likely poisoned from the earlier Z-move, but, it slowed her down nonetheless. A loud screech echoed from the Araquanid's watery maws as the remains of a hyper beam hit her just as her massive head poked itself from out the lair, making her rear back. She'd retaliate with a Mirror Coat, which likely made things worse. Doubled in power from the Hyper Beam, the sudden flash of bright light roared from the creature's jaws, doing a fair share of both harm and good in her frantic attempt to cease the destruction of her home. It succeeded in otherwise helping the trainer's in caving in the pokemon, but, also did a fair share of harm to their pokemon as well. The powerful beam would cut through the wide rocky tunnel that led to the lair in which the trainers stood in. Rocks are falling everywhere - be careful.[break][break] A sudden forceful jet of water, another Liquidation, would release itself from the heavily injured, massive pokemon, which was able to cut through Mirai Soleil 's Whirlpool, which had previously hindered the bug's escape route. I t wasn't intent on causing harm to the trainers though nor their pokemon - it was meant to save the Dewpiders. Multitudes of the small spiders would latch onto the blast of water, using it as a means to escape their collapsing home. The Araquanid would skitter on behind her children - and she nearly made it from out the cave, her massive body withering back and forth as she tried to force her way through the collapsed entrance. But, it was too late. At that last moment, the remains of what held the lair together fell, crushing the water/bug and plenty of her children beneath it. [break][break] When all was said and done, it looked like a war scene. Some Dewpider's had their tough, and yet fragile, aquatic skulls crushed, leaving them twitching on the ground as they gave violent spasms, gasping for air before stilling. Others pathetically tried to repair their injured water bubbles with the toxic sludge that remained from the z-move's destructive remains, creating a venomous bubble that'd only lead to a more painful demise. A few extremely unlucky ones had to deal with being halfway crushed beneath their now destroyed home, multiple limbs torn asunder as they lay there, unable to escape and waiting for it all to end. Those that escaped alive were torn in decisions. Some stared at their collapsed home, oblivious to the destruction of the tunnel path before them - loudly crying out for their likely crushed mother and attempting to pull at the rocks in an attempt to find her. [break][break] Others set their sights on the trainers - not looking for a meal, but, for revenge. None seemed to have any desire to flee for their lives as rocks continued to crumble and fall nor flee from the murderous trainers. Whether it was a shine on the camaraderie between the young pokemon or a distasteful shine on their intelligence - that was up for you to decide. [break][break] The collapse of their lair had ushered out even more of them out...You could stay and fight the already injured spiders. But, it might be in your best interested to leave, as a sudden barrage of bubble beams and Spider Webs erupt from the Dewpider's mouths as they get closer and closer. [break][break] The Guilty Looking Dewpider suddenly appeared, looking injured, but, still clutching onto the garnished egg. It tries to offer the egg to one of its deceased siblings in hopes of healing it..But, after shaking the egg several times in front of the unmoving pokemon's face for several moments with no success, it somberly gives up. Skittering about, it frantically looks back and forth between the two groups, seeming distraught and sad. Holding the egg close to itself and trembling, it would briefly look at the trainers with wide, terrified eyes. Despite this, it almost seemed apologetic. The Dewpider would then disappear into the darkness of the tunnel once more, choosing not to try and strike revenge with its copious amount of siblings. But...maybe it'd be back?[break][break] Abruptly, the light at the end of the almost tunnel like path would fade. The tree's that had twisted to reveal the rocky, wide dark path that led to the spider's lair had been blockaded with fallen trees and rumble, tightly compacted together...It might've been possible to force ones way out...but, did they have the time for that, was the question. [break][break] Meanwhile...[break][break] The Oranguru stood watch despite seemingly meditating peacefully, its eyes closed and fan occasionally moving to cool itself with a nice, refreshing breeze. The sage pokemon could feel a disturbance...What did they do? Why were humans so complex? Lazily, the pokemon's eyes craned opened, as he prepared himself to immediately close to entrance made when the group appeared...They'd likely have quite the crowd chasing after them. [break][break] Nearby, one of the delinquents who had stayed behind spoke to old pokemon...who, in turn, didn't really offer the scarred individual his time nor patience in entertaining such idiotic banter. How he had managed to get stuck with the smart ones was beyond the Oranguru. However, in a lazy attempt to get the man to leave him be, the Oranguru would finally regard Zombie with a slit-eyed look. [break][break] "You seek to play a game, human?" The pokemon croaked out. Once again, the fan of the pokemon would glow, and one of Zombie's pokeballs would suddenly be sent flying into nearby bushes. "Go fetch."[break][break] Amusement briefly glimmered in the ape's eyes before the pokemon would settle back into meditation, only for its peace to be disrupted once more. However, this time, it wasn't with menial banter or pointless questions. The Oranguru made no move to stop the man's wicked attempts in sealing off the other's only escape route. The look of stern, trained calmness never left the Oranguru's face as he regarded the human who dared to bombarded him with questions. It seemed even in all these years, humans hadn't changed in the least...Still uncaring of even their own kind. [break][break] "I wonder how humans like yourselves was grouped with them. I suppose even destiny makes mistakes." The ape let out a slight sigh, sounding as though this man was more an annoying fly than anything. Lazily slit eyes would rest upon ALEXANDER LOWELL , deciding to humor him. [break][break] "The curse placed on this island was brought into fruition because of your kind, and it shall be removed by your kind. I do not have the power meant to summon you forth. The being who beckoned you forth did so. And it shall be only by that being that you are removed from this island. By death or by victory." Cryptic, yet almost taunting, words sagely entered the human's minds as the Oranguru stared the man down. [break][break] The Oranguru would let out a calm breath, a sudden glow encasing its form - Nasty Plot was being used. "Now, settle down before mistakes are made, young human." There was a firm, stern tone in the ape - one of a scholar who was prepared to punish a misbehaving student if necessary. [break][break] "A far greater challenge than any awaits. And if you wish to leave, you will need your team. So tell me, young human, would you like to continue this fruitless, idiotic play? Or shall I save your rightfully fated comrades?"

[attr="class","Vgentempheader"]EVENT MODERATION NOTE(S): - Overall, Azad 's Scizor takes 45% damage from the Dewpider's Bubble beam and Araquanid's Liquidation. His wings are covered in thick web, lowering his speed by two. It'll take at least one full post to get the web off, making his movement very limited. Scizor gains +3 levels.
- Being unable to move from the Hyper Beam, Azad 's Dragonair takes 25% damage from the Mirror Coat. Dragonair gains +1 level for helping during the situation.
- Frederick Ferdinand 's Nidoking gains a mighty +4 levels from being the first to in the group to use his Z-move, and in such a creative way! Unfortunately, he takes damage from the Mirror Coat, and takes 35% damage due to it being a super effective move. Frederick Ferdinand 's Yanmega gains +1 level for his valiant rescue attempt. Good bug.
- Mirai Soleil's Floatzel takes 25% damage from the Mirror Coat. She gains +1 level for helping during the situation.
- NURSE JOY 's Eevee and Chansey both gain +1 level for their splendid support/recovery roles during the situation.
- The Pikipek is now at 100% health...Maybe something good will occur because of it?
- noelani palm 's Chansey has regained all of her health thanks to Joy's Chansey.
- The path is currently blocked/barricaded thanks to ALEXANDER LOWELL . It needs to be taken down but it won't be easy.
- Once caught, the Dewpider will be the level of the lowest pokemon in your current party, for the sake of battling though, they'll have a set level. There are a grand total of 30 Dewpiders. Best of luck. Don't worry, I'm not trying to kill you, just have fun. c:

With Pikipek cuddled close to her chest for recovery she kept still as she remained suspended in Yanmega's psychic hold, the sudden lurch to the side as they were yanked toward the cavern's mouth inspiring a cheerful song from the rescued bird. The aspiring professor couldn't seem to withdraw her gaze as they were torn out of the combat zone, watching after Araquanid and her horde as their home came crumbling down around them. The mother's desperate final act sent her focus to follow after the jet of water, watching as she spared her children the fate the trainers had decided for them.[break][break] Her attention didn't shift until a gentle glow surrounded the Pikipek in her arms, her body slowing in the air as the psychic pull brought her to her destination, shifting her as upright as she could be in her bound state. It took a moment for her to recognize the technique, but as the stars faded and the shine dimmed to reveal a healthy young Pikipek, she understood, her gaze lifting to search through the called pokémon to determine the wish's source. She didn't seem to notice Monferno's careful efforts as he tore her free, eyes caught toward the light at the end of the tunnel as the final rumble of the cave's fall coincide with the drop of trees down the path, cutting them off from their point of entry.[break][break] When Chanchan had broken away from her elder sister she wasn't sure, but the cheerful nurse was there to bury her face against her trainer's leg as her feet met soft to the ground, webbing slowly sagging from the woman's frame. she offered Curry a gentle nod of gratitude, the corners of her eyes creasing faintly despite the faintness of her smile as she cant her head, apparently oblivious to the writhing mass of young spiders crawling steadily closer from the collapsed cave. Her hands rose slightly as she offered Pikipek the chance to take to the air before she set to work on pulling off the last of the webbing, Chanchan hurrying to help free her from the sticky strands as her attention locked to the exit rather than the impending threat.[break][break] ❝ Jungles are only quiet... if pokémon are hiding from something. ❞ she pointed out as her hand reached for one of the spheres at her hip. The cavern's collapse had been booming, and to the girl it meant only one thing. ❝ We should go. ❞[break][break] The air was caught in a flurry of string and bubbles as her lips fell to silence, rocks still crumbling down from the team's rescue effort. The battle was met with a brief flash as the sphere in her hand opened wide, a staggering amount of light pouring from inside to draw itself in the massive shape of Gyarados.[break][break] Being summoned into a barrage of attacks didn't seem to phase the monstrous serpent, its head slowly craning as it locked its eyes on the gathered throng of Dewpider, slowly narrowing. A low, rumbling warning graveled from its throat as it right itself before the gathering, twice as large as their fallen mother.[break][break] Gyarados used intimidate on the horde of Dewpiders![break] Dewpiders' attack fell! [break] The heavyweight pseudo-dragon would not easily be knocked off balance by any frantic attacks.[break][break] ❝ Help Scizor, ❞ she instructed toward Chanchan, fingers slipping briefly over the cap of her skull as she searched through the aggressive group, Gyarados serving effectively as a barrier to keep his trainer safe.[break][break] Chanchan didn't waste any time. With a brief nod of her head she skipped to the side, stubby arms pointing out from her body toward the encased insect as she focused herself intently, failing to take notice as a new egg popped miraculously into the empty space of her pouch. A pink wave of energy pulsed from her hands like a heartbeat, the same, warm glow appearing around Scizor's body in a healing light.[break][break] Chanchan used Heal Pulse on Azad 's Scizor! [attr="class","nfbase"] [attr="class","nftop"] [attr="class","nficon"] [attr="class","nfboxbase"] like a wasted zombie i stumble [attr="class","nfbox"] "oh now that's just being a poor sport." zombie casually said. walking to gather his ball from the bush, he'd come to see that his chimchar had, accidentally, came out. a hand poked from the bush his ball had been thrown into, and the hand holding said ball was none other then chimchar's. "ah? you came out, i thought i told you to stay in." and then poked out his head. "you just do as you please, h--ah?" the sound of gravel and shaking caught the attention of not just oranguru, but zombie and chimchar as well. with chimchar scattering onto his trainer's back, having placed the ball capsule into zombie's pocket. zombie would come to be surprised by the male ( ALEXANDER LOWELL ) sudden action. zombie, somewhat caught off guard, knew there was something about the quiet male--and look at that? he was right. "scary." zombie commented from afar. with his chimchar staring in awe of the mighty gorilla before him he, too, wondered if it were possible to evolve into such a creature. zombie, noticing how quiet chimchar was being, knew that the pyro-monkey had been in awe of the creature that stood, and spoke, before him. "let's hold our monkey tails here people." zombie idly said. "as careless as my associate here was for pulling a--and i do mean--a hilarious obstacle for them. we were sent here by some 'being' right? then we, me and this loose cannon over there," he pointed at ALEXANDER LOWELL , "obviously were brought with reason. maybe that obstacle he created one of them? to test the others or something, and as for me on the other hand..." he'd remove chimchar from his back. both hands were placed around the hip of his chimchar as he held the fire-type pokemon midair; next, he'd then hold the fire-type forward before him. "remember when i said i wanted to play a game? unlike the others, i'm not a violent person--it's too much work, too tiring if we're being completely honest. which is why i stayed behind. i'd only get in the way." slowly sticking the side of his right head to the side--tilting it rather zombie, then added, "doesn't that make me a pretty smart and benevolent human for knowing my limitations and what i can provide to the group? and, besides, i wanted to stay and have a serious chat with you--along with playing a game, me and my chimchar here love thought-provoking games; especially if they make your opponent feel a bit silly in the end." chimchar would be turned, it's back facing the oranguru now, "right, chimchar?" the fire-type jovially responded with the yelp of its own name. "maybe i was brought here for a reason--maybe for you." the scar-bodied male softly spoke, a smile directed toward the oranguru. "it's funny that you speak about destiny and how it's possible it can make mistakes. to be honest, me and destiny aren't the best of friends, she's kinda cruel to me. so perhaps me being here is punishment, a chance, or because she knew you'd catch my eye." a slight glint shimmered within those cerulean stones of his. "so, i'll ask again, let's play a game. i have two i can offer. should i win you return with me to our world and leave this boring place--you can even bring back that little friend of yours, should you win of course. and if i lose, we'll be good boys--or rather--he'll be a good boy," he pointed toward ALEXANDER LOWELL once more, "for the duration of our stay. if you don't like those terms, then at least be willing to tell us some information and keep this secret between the three of us about what occurred here. come on, it'd be a pain if we had to bicker like humans; you'd be a hypocrite if make the choice to go the violent route. let's duke it out like civilized people?" placing chimchar on the top of his head, zombie's hands, then, clasped together. "come on, the game will be fun, quick, and one round. i'll state three facts, and if you can figure out which fact is wrong--you win! i think that's fair then having an unnecessary brawl and multiple, endless rounds." of course this was only a simple suggestion. the oranguru in no way had to accept such a childish shenanigan, but it was better then fighting--right? it'd be a pain if they had to deal with this oranguru. plus, now that he thought about it, if such a pokemon possessed the power to handle the duo here--why didn't it just go save the pikipek by its self? this island was getting on his nerve each minute he stayed here, stupid trial--stupid mission--stupid ken for not being here. ADDED EDIT
had the oranguru agreed to his terms and the game. he'd then begin to raise his left hand, and one number per fact stated. "here are my three facts: [1]i am a pokemon trainer, [2]i'm a redhead, and [3]i'd be sad if my partner here ever died." he'd rub the head of chimchar, patting the pokemon with a soft smile. "and those are my three facts. like i said, one round, that's all." note: zombie's chimchar came out. he's kinda annoyed with just everything low-key, but high-key? he's just trying to negotiate with the psychotic oranguru who honestly needs to calm his shit. so, zombie, is trying to play mediator and proposed they settle this with a game. along with talking about how he and destiny don't get along, also stating that if the monkey believed destiny made a mistake; then why run into you? maybe there's a reason. plus, he really just wants to play a game and proposed that if he wins the oranguru--and his little friend--come with them (or rather him really) off this island--or, if he doesn't like that term, then at least give'em a little information and keep what happened here a secret. and, should zombie lose, he'll happily be a good boy and keep alexander on a leash. tbh, zombie just doesn't have time for the bull. There was almost too much going on to follow as everything happened at once. The hyper beams, the retaliation by the Araquanid, the collapse of the cavern...it was all quite a sight. Tiny was sent sliding back along the ground from the impact, the *stocky* pokemon forced to press his tail thick tail into the ground to maintain his balance. The highly effective attack tore at his thick hide, causing him to clench his teeth as he endured the pain. As much as he wanted to fight through the pain his previous attack was seriously draining. The horned pokemon would need to take a moment to recover before he could let loose another attack. Frederick's sharp golden eyes stared out at the destruction he and the rest of the team had wrought on the lair, the ranger's face eerily vacant of emotion. He took a brief moment to take in the sight of the traitorous bugs suffered, some being crushed under the falling cavern ceiling while others succumbed to the savage poison that infected their homes. He took in a deep breath as he looked over to Race and Curry, who had just finished freeing noelani palm . "Time for us to go." The levity had left his voice, his tone now flat and focused as he looked out to the light at the end of the tunnel. Of course it wouldn't be that easy. While the big bug seemed like it had been taken care of the there were still quite a few more of it's kin lurking in the shadows. Even more than what they had seen before. To make matters worse their attempt at caving in the lair proved to be a double edged sword, as it seemed that everything around them was starting to crumble. Now that the monferno was done with the professor they could start moving toward the exit. "She's right. We need to move now." It was then that he would look over at where the entrance once was, the only known exit to this tunnel suddenly blocked off by debris. The ranger's eye twitched as the sight of this, numerous possibilities racing through his head in a moment. But he couldn't allow his mind to linger on anything other than the matter at hand for too long. "Curry! Use mach punch to shatter any rocks that seem like they might fall on us." The flaming ape would grin at the order, immediately putting his acrobatic form to work. The monferno would look to the recently summoned gyarados, an ally that was sure to prove useful in more ways than one. Without hesitation Curry would spring toward the pseudo dragon, limbs working quickly to scale his body and reach the peak of his form. All the while he would let out a few grunts, informing the gyarados of his presence so he wouldn't be mistaken for an attacking spider. Once in his vantage point he would increase the intensity of his flame, providing more light to the area as he remained vigilant for falling debris. Hopefully having the sturdy water type between him and the bubble beams would be enough to keep him from getting soaked. At the same time Frederick would turn toward Race, who had already released his hold on Palm and was awaiting his next instruction. "Race, you help keep them off us. Use your air cutter to suppress them and keep them off our backs." The yanmega let out a buzz of confirmation, his eyes settling on the approaching swarm of fellow bug types. All four sets of his wings would beat rapidly, his body turning to direct the flaps toward the swarm. As he did compressed blades of air would form and assault the attackers, the supper effective attack hopefully enough to either make them think twice or at the very least thin their numbers. "Tiny, you're with me. We're clearing that exit." Luckily the path to the lair was short, so it wouldn't take long for the two of them to make it to the barricaded opening. "Come on everyone! Even if we can't get out yet at least they can't surround us there!" The ranger would move toward the rubble clogged exit with Tiny right behind him, the pokemon glancing over his shoulder to make sure no one tried to get a surprise attack on them or anyone who would follow while their backs were turned. TLDR
- Stared at the destruction with an unreadable blank expression.
- Agreed that they needed to make their way to the exit asap
- Saw the exit crumble and was not very happy about it.
- Ordered Curry (Monferno) to use Mach Punch on any falling rocks that were headed toward the group
- Curry climbed Gyarados to get a good vantage point and increased the intensity of his flame to provide visibility
- Had Race (Yanmega) use Air Cutter to suppress the advancing swarm

♦♦♦♦ ♦♦♦♦ The encounter didn't go as cleanly as she had hoped. Her teammates had unfortunately gone through with their plan to collapse the Pokemon's lair putting its residents in danger and forcing the leader Araquanid to resort to desperate actions. Mirai took this opportunity to watch carefully and as she had predicted, it was only Araquanid who posed a real threat as it powered through the barrage of attacks that were sent into the cave. It was unfortunate that the Water Bubble Pokemon misread her intentions with Floatzel's Whirlpool as they went against it instead of allowing it to carry them to relative safety at the back of the cave. The result was the frantic spiders being caught by the cave in as they persistently attempted to get out in vain.
She sighed upon seeing her failed effort but there was no time to feel bad about it. While the Araquanid and most of the Dewpider were caught in the cave in, a fair number of them did manage to scramble outside and were now attacking those responsible for wrecking their home. It was a fair sentiment. Thankfully rather than continue to deal undue punishment to the Pokemon, her companions decided they should retreat. Remembering earlier that only the big Araquanid stood a chance against Floatzel's Whirlpool, Mirai decided to use it again to stall them. The weakened Dewpider shouldn't be able to break through it easily.
"Floatzel-kun, use Whirlpool again!"
Though she was slightly hurt from the battle with Araquanid, the Sea Weasel Pokemon was very much still capable of battling. She conjured yet another large Whirlpool that would intercept any stray attacks from the Dewpider while continuing on to carry away and trap any Pokemon caught in its path. Hopefully that would keep them busy long enough for the group to retreat safely.
Mirai then turned around to assess the situation to their rear. By some misfortune of unknown cause, the path leading back to where Oranguru was had been blocked off. Was this part of the trial? She began to wonder if there was still something they needed to do besides rescue the Pikipek if the island itself was barring their way out. Did they have to defeat all the Dewpider? She hoped not. She didn't want to battle them anymore unnecessarily if she could help it. Seeing Frederick head for the exit with Nidoking though, it seemed finding their way out was a bigger priority this time thankfully.
She thought about calling out a helper to break through the blocked path, but between the number of Pokemon already out and Noelani summoning her Gyarados again, it didn't seem like a good idea to bring out more large Pokemon in that small forest path. Perhaps those same Pokemon who helped with the cave in earlier could direct the same effort to opening up the exit again for the group. With that in mind, Mirai would stay as far away from the center of the path as possible as she retreated so that anyone who wanted to shoot their fancy beams at the crumbled exit had a clear shot.
tl;dr - Had Floatzel use Whirlpool once more to intercept any attacks from the Dewpider and again attempt to trap and push the Pokemon away from the group while they retreated. Mirai would stick to the side of the path so that any Pokemon attempting to blast open the exit could have a clear shot at doing so.

| DO YOU REMEMBER? LOOK AT ME AND ALL THE THINGS WE SAID WE'D BE. WE BEAT THE HOUNDS, WE PUSHED THE ODDS. WE'D TAKE IT ALL - WE HAD THE CAUSE. WITH YEARS TO BURN AND YEARS TO TRASH, LIVIN' LIFE BASED ON FLASH. BUT SOMEHOW REACHING FOR THE STARS, I THINK WE WENT A BIT TOO FAR.
The situation had fluctuated and the paradigms that the team of four were working under had all shifted some in the positive some in the negative. Azad couldn't help but swear again as he turned only to find their exit was blocked. Scizor had done so much to ensure an escape but the group was trapped anyways. Thankfully the bug had returned alive and that was the most important thing by far. As the Scizor returned covered in web the injured bug would fall to a knee only for Azad to slide by the sticky pokemon holding the pokemon tight for a moment his own body getting cut as he attempted to remove small bits and pieces of the web while he had just a moment. The pokemon was injured even more the bug type was tired and so Azad would stay and defend the pokemon all the while forming a plan to save the group. His hands would begin to bleed as they continued to pick at the scizor's sharp body still the man would continue, only for a dewpider or two to appear before the trainer ready to finish off the bug.
Dragonair was still weary from the hyperbeam and so the pokemon couldn't respond just yet, thus the trainer had no choice but to call his third pokemon. "Vira Thunder Punch. don't let them get close, and follow me as we move." He'd order standing tall now a plan finally coming to mind. And so the dusclops would take the offensive forming a perimeter around the trainer and his pokemon quickly knocking one of the bugs out with a series of electric fists. Azad was about to pass the fallen bug dodging small rocks only for one such stone to come threatening to crush the fainted dewpiders. With a swift movement one of the ancient pokeballs would fly instantly capturing the bug. the ball rolling towards the silver haired trainer as the rock connected with the stone floor.
Retrieving the ball he'd catch a glance at Frederick Ferdinand who moved toward their former entrance the nidoking was going to breakthrough or at least attempt to, which meant he'd play support this time around. With Dragonair still recuperating Azad would return the lither dragon to his pokeball for a rest, all the while noelani palm would have her Chansey heal scizor the blade pokemon would move closer to the green haired girl and the pink pokemon to make the transition easier. Thankfully the movement aligned with Azad's very simple plan.
Attempting to dodge falling stones Azad would first grab the Tiny Mirai Soleil 's hand. "Trust me." was all he'd get out using all of his strength to fling the tiny girl toward the gyrados and the gathered party she could hate him later. It wasn't exactly graceful but hopefully it'd work. Whether the floatzel attempted to attack or not Dusclops was prepared to deal with situation.
Azad would then move toward Joy and her own chansey ready to assist the woman in whatever way possible. "Are you injured? We're forming up together and holding a line until Frederick Ferdinand can break through. Now let's go." He'd hold out his cut and bleeding hand to pull the woman up from her position his gaze focused on both the woman and her chansey."I will get everyone out of here. Just please, trust me." If he could, he would have flung the older woman as well, but flinging a fifteen year old girl and a grown woman more than a few heads taller wasn't as easy.
-Azad Thanks scizor and begins to pick some of the web off the pokemon cutting his hands in the process realizing he's getting nowhere. -Azad Calls out Vira (Dusclops) to defend the two with multiple thunder punches. -Vira knocks out two of the dewpiders (probably taking damage in the battle) -Azad throws one of his ancient balls at a dewpider that was threatened by falling rocks -Azad retrieves the ancient ball before calling back Dragonair to his pokeball. -Azad notes Frederick Ferdinand is going to attempt to break through the cave. -Azad moves to support him by gathering the party attempting to form a defensive line. -Nero (Scizor) moves towards Chanchan to make the healing easier for the normal type. -Azad first goes to Ojou and flings her toward noelani palm Gyrados Scizor Monferno and the other pokemon. because she's a small girl -Vira (Dusclops) continues to defend Azad as he attempts to continue his plan -Azad arrives to help NURSE JOY get to the group asks if she's injured and asks for her trust offering his (bleeding) hand to help her up
Azad Status: Focused/ Stressed/ Thankful

It was a good thing the lair wasn't too deep or the sprint to the exit would have likely been filled with many more complications. In fact he wasn't even sure if all of his teammates would have been able to keep up with the pace required to avoid being overwhelmed by their attackers. In fact it seemed that one of his teammates even had time to try to capture one of the pokemon, an action that would be met with a questionable look from the ranger as he continued to push forward. Hopefully that choice wouldn't slow him down enough that he would end up needing saved from the dewpiders. By the time they reached the blockage Tiny would have recovered his energy, the beast returning to full strength. His wounds didn't seem to slow him down, though if one had the time to watch his face closely they would see his eyes were even more focused than they were before. Though it would be unclear whether it was the dire situation or him trying to focus on something other than the pain of his movements that pushed him forward. Whatever the case the team needed him at full strength, so that would be exactly what he would put forward. "Tiny, use Earth power to clear the way!"Frederick would skid to a halt, turning his back on the blocked entrance to focus on the battle at hand. Race was still hard at work unloading an onslaught of air cutter blades at the attackers, while Curry was hard at work ensuring that no rocks would harm the group with his quick reflexes and even quicker mach punch. With the rest of the team doing their part Tiny couldn't allow himself to be shown up, his teeth clenching as he rose a thick leg and stomped it into the ground. Energy would travel through the earth and under the blockage, an eruption of earth power bursting out from underneath the debris. While the pokemon would do his best to direct it outward and avoid harm to the others, he would still ready himself to jump in the way and body block any loose chunks that happened to fly in an unfortunate direction. Yet he wouldn't stop there. If the blast alone wasn't enough to clear the rubble he would start to tear at it with his bear hands, determined to defeat this wall that had been put before him. Meanwhile Frederick would be directing his pokemon to work in unison with Azad 's defensive line, having full faith that Tiny wouldn't rest until that barrier was broken. His eyes moved across the human members of the party, who at this point had hopefully all made it to a position behind their pokemon. It never felt good to have one's back to the wall, but it was certainly preferable to being surrounded by the enemy. TLDR
- Frederick makes his way to the exit
- Notes Azad stopped to catch a pokemon and responds with a questioning look
- Reaches the exit with Tiny (Nidoking) and has him use Earth Power to clear the barricade.
- Joins the defensive line being formed with his pokemon, Race (Yanmega) still using Air Cutter to suppress and damage any approaching dewpiders while Curry (Monferno) continues to Mach Punch any falling rocks headed toward the group.
- Appreciates that having their backs to the wall is better than being surrounded by bugs.

How charming the ape was, revealing the truth for their arrival upon the desolate island. A plague brought forth by mankind upon the isle of pokemon. Playing with his words the sage pokemon entertained his inquiry. "Fate can be cruel, you should know this Sage." mocking the Oranguru for his critique of his arrival with the party. Hearing that Oranguru was only a pawn weakened his interest in the ape. Having no desire to battle the psychic sage now he called back his pokemon.[break][break]
" You need me far more then I need you Sage. Do as you wish." returning the pokeballs of his companions to the insides of his attire. Zombie taking the reigns on entertaining the Oranguru with his little game. Restoring the facade of being a pokemon trainer from the pokemon academy. Thinking on the secrets revealed to them from the ape. Was it the curse of flesh, technology, or perhaps the very thing he was searching for. Interest in Oranguru cryptic words brought a smile to his lips. [break][break]
The blockade created from his pokemon began to shift, the trainers battling the trap clearly heard by the members of Virus. Having seen the display of pokemon from these trainers Alexander knew the trap would not be able to defeat them. If they were that weak they were not worthy to call Alexander their rival. Oranguru could easily undo his blockade if the sage wished to free his companions. What kind of pokemon had power over them and Oranguru though? That thought worried him.[break][break]

[attr="class","joy2"] [attr="class","joy1"] [attr="class","joyless"]Her breath caught in her throat, auburn hued eyes staring in wide horror as the scene unfolded before them. Her knees felt weak and her arms felt heavy, without realizing it she collapsed to the ground with a defeated look on her face. Any colour that once filled her face had faded away, the woman's bottom lip trembling and tears forming at the edge of her eyes. Pressing petite fingers on her face, May let out a wail of anguish. She collapsed against the ground, pressing into the cool ground. Splendid and Chansey instantly reacted to their trainer's cry, rushing their way to hover around her with perplexed and concerned looks upon their faces. Placing her hand against the ground, she carefully pulled her tear stained eyes up to look towards the Dewpider's with poisoned water bubbles. Quickly tearing her gaze towards the crumbled lair, what may lay in remains of the Araquanid. Unable to even think about how she might be dead under all the rubble as she had desperately did her best to protect her little ones. "Splendid. Wish. " she quivered out, extending a shaky finger towards the rubble. "For the Araquanid. Please." Her gaze instantly averted towards Azad as he approached her, speaking in his disgusting consoling words and extending his bloodied hand out towards her. She instantly swiped his hand away from her, pressing her own hand against the ground to push herself. Lips twisting into a furious frown, brows pinching together with anger and anguish mixed into together. "Get the hell away from me. You're no better than a bunch of criminals. "Turning away from Azad, she began making her way towards the Dewpiders. Her feet beginning to move quickly as she rushed towards the rubble to begin pulling at the rocks. Disregarding any care for her own safety, she began working fervently to uncover the Araquanid. "Splendid! Wish!" she called out once more, the Eevee perking up from his stupor to only shake his whole body and walk forward. His attention carefully placed on the rubble, letting out a cry as the area around him began to darken. A starry night back drop fading into existance, a falling star appearing for him to make his intense wish for the well being of the Araquanid. If there was any chance that it was still alive, he wished for her to have the strength again to stand up. To protect her children once more. Grunting as she continued desperately trying to pull at the rocks with what little strength she had, regardless of Dewpiders were attacking her, she would call over her shoulder towards Chansey. "Chansey! Heal Bell, for the Dewpiders!"The pink Pokemon had kept close towards Joy, doing her best to gently take most of the brunt of any attacks made towards the Nurse. Not retaliating but just allowing her soft pink body to be a punching bag of frustration for them. Nodding her head at the command, she set her sights at those poor Dewpiders that were slowly being poisoned from the toxic spill. Opening her mouth to let out a small tune, the image of a bell appearing to ring a few times. Shaking her little body to guide the musical bell chime towards the Dewpiders. joy is now frantic and not in her right mind has Splendid use Wish for Araquinad refused Azad's hand trying to dig up the Araquinad has Chansey use Heal Bell on the Dewpiders chansey is trying to take all the hits made at joy [newclass=.joy1]border-top:100px solid #ff3755;border-left:0px solid transparent;border-right:100px solid transparent;height:0;width:0px;margin:0 auto;z-index:9;position:absolute;transform:translateY(-150px);[/newclass] [newclass=.joy2]border-top:150px solid #393939;border-left:0px solid transparent;border-right:150px solid transparent;height:0;width:0px;margin:0 auto;position:absolute;[/newclass] [newclass=.joyless b]color:#ff3755[/newclass]

[nospaces] [attr="class","Vgentempbox"] [attr="class","Vgentemptitle"]The Impertinent [attr="class","Vgentempdiv"] [attr="class","Vgentempheader"]event 002. Beginning [break][break] Zombie 's 'game' idea and philosophy {despite how skewered it was} only made the sage-like pokemon sigh, perhaps in slight irritation of being reduced to play such...menial games. A careful eye would rest on ALEXANDER LOWELL - but, seeing as the man had fallen quiet once more - the Oranguru would relax. Seeing as he would, hopefully, no longer be a threat, the pokemon would disperse the effects of nasty plot. Listening to the scarred male's 'game', the ape would nod - possibly because even it didn't mind a mind game or two. "Very well." Oranguru would rumble. [break][break] The reveal of the three 'facts', made the ape's brow narrow. "Is this..truly your three facts?" The Oranguru almost sounded disappointed. "3 is false." The ape almost felt a bit bad that the Chimchar had to be owned by such...a foul spirited human. Should the pokemon choose to stay here on the island after hearing such a thing, the pokemon wouldn't blame it. However, trainer-owned-pokemon were such..obedient, miraculous little things. Their loyalty was utterly amazing - and one that the Oranguru once understood. [break][break] Suddenly, the sage would perk up, having made no move to unblock the blockage with its physic powers even when the previously tense situation had calmed. "Make yourself useful, humans. Help me gather some berries." The Oranguru would suddenly order, its hefty body lifting, psychic powers making the trees bend and berries previously hidden falling to the ground to be collected. "And you as well, if you'd like, little one." The kinder words were offered towards the Chimchar. Unfortunately, If Zombie nor Alexander chose not to help, they'd likely get a berry or two dropped on their heads by the ancient pokemon.[break] [attr="class","Vgentempheader"]With the Others... Anger. That was what fueled the Dewpider's actions as they marched closer and closer towards the group of trainers and their pokemon, determined to take vengeance for their destroyed home, their injured kin, and their fallen mother. The sudden reveal of the towering form of noelani palm 's Gyarados briefly made them falter, the serpentine pokemon's intimidating glower briefly halting them in their march. The pause only lasted for a couple of moments, as the Dewpider's would quickly assault the towering pseudo-dragon with a barrage of Bubble Beams. Their fearsome attack was paused when several air slashes began to tear into their crowd, along with a few punches cloaked in electricity - both which managed to make the massive group of Dewpiders take a few steps back. The combined attacks managed to dwindle their numbers a little, but, only seemed to further the spider's rage. Yet another barrage of Bubble Beams was released in attempt to defend themselves and attack both the one-eyed ghost pokemon and the bug that hovered overhead. [break][break] Growing more desperate and reckless by the minute, the Dewpider began to lunge and jump at the group in an attempt to attack - but, it proved futile when they were suddenly pushed back by a swirl of water thanks to Mirai Soleil 's Floatzel, which sent the small spiders rolling backwards and unable to proceed forward. Frederick Ferdinand 's Nidokings valiant actions certainly helped in beginning to loosen the blockage - however, it was massive. It'd either take more time or more manpower if they hoped to bring it down...However, things would slowly began to get a bit more... complicated when two of the group's trainers had a change of heart. [break][break] NURSE JOY suddenly deciding to help the spiders definitely made the brigade pause as they stared at her with distrusting eyes. They hissed as she, instead of running, immersed herself into their numbers, set on...helping them? A few would tremble with fear, pelting Bubble Beams towards the woman - which would hit her Chansey that protected her all the while. Hearing her utter out helpful commands, to her actions in attempting to remove the rocks that caved in on their mother - the attacks would falter, especially when a heal bell was used to purify their poisoned siblings. [break][break] The appearance of noelani palm and her efforts to help them didn't go unnoticed by the Dewpider's either. At first, the sight of her towering pokemon coming closer made them tense - prepared to launch another fury of attacks. However, instead of attacking, the massive beast gave them fresh water, to which many scrambled forth to utilize. Some would bring their suffocating siblings over to the newly formed pool of water as small, happy cries escaped from the group. [break][break] Unfortunately, the trainer's weren't out of the woods just yet. Even through their kind deeds and noelani palm 's Chansey's explanation, distrust swam in the eyes of the previously attacking group. Some looked confused, but otherwise bristled, likely preparing to attack again with total abandon. Being so close to them, being attack with such numbers would certainly be disastrous for both trainer's, if not fatal. [break][break] However, a small shape - smaller than its own siblings - would quickly rush forward, protectively standing in front of both noelani palm 's Chansey and the two woman themselves. Egg still clutched in some of is arms, the guilty-looking Dewpider now looked determined as it began to frantically explain in effort to calm its siblings' confusion and anger. After a few moments, it seems the Dewpider group seems to understand, looking at the NURSE JOY and noelani palm with a look of trust, void of any anger. The Dewpider's have stopped attacking the group![break][break] Abandoning their attack on the others, the Dewpider took to rescuing both their buried siblings and mother. Encouraged by noelani palm 's bravery to help the spider's, even Pikipek began to help in clearing the rocks. At first, it seemed fruitless, even with the combined efforts of them all. Although, by a miracle - or maybe a wish - the pile of massive boulders and rumble began to move. Slowly but surely, the towering form of the Araquanid rose once more, her body trembling with effort as rocks slid from off her bruised form. She was alive! Injured greatly, but alive. Multiple Dewpiders rushed forward, clinging to her legs and nuzzling against her in some sort of happy reunion, to which the mother would affectionately sweep her children closer. [break][break] The Araquanid herself would soon look down at NURSE JOY and noelani palm, intensely staring at them, but, there was no tenseness nor hostility. The Araquanid bent, letting her massive head hover in front of the two trainer's. A small, grateful noise came from her jaws, her gaze briefly resting on both noelani palm and the Pikipek - perhaps an apology? [break][break] Either way, it seems the group has gained a temporary ally. Carefully, the Araquanid stepped forward, notably limping, but, not slowing in the least. She'd approach the others, staring them down as if daring them to attack. But, she wasn't here to fight nor take revenge for her near death experience. An injured limb would carefully push Frederick Ferdinand 's Nidoking away from the blockage. A sudden screech echoed from her jaws. Immediately, many of her children would rush forward. She, alongside the multitude of Dewpider, would push against the blockade. She'd use forceful jets of water via her Liquidation attack followed by the Dewpider's Bubble Beam. The tremendous force of the water was enough to make the weakened blockade crumble, revealing their doorway out of the realm of spiders. [break][break] The two split groups are now reunited![break][break] The Araquanid and Dewpider's themselves would leave the tunnel as well, the spider collapsing just outside of it with her many, many children to take a well deserved break...much to Oranguru's surprise.[break][break] Once the group would finally make their way outside, they'd be greeted with a pile of berries, likely gathered by the Oranguru. It was just enough for each pokemon that the trainer's had brought with them, to eat. Any who ate them would recover 10% of health. [break][break] "This was a surprising turn of events. I did not expect this." The Oranguru sounded puzzled - but, impressed. He didn't seem all that bothered, nor threatened, by the sudden appearance of the spiders. He also made no mention of the blockade. "I am relieved to see you have all survived. And seemingly managed to make peace with one whom was once an enemy." He chuckled slightly, a bit bewildered by this...odd group of trainers before him. [break][break] Pikipek seemed content staying in noelani palm 's arms, but, would happily chirp out at the sage like ape. "Ah, there you are. I am glad to see you are safe. It was foolish to bother them, was it not?" The tiny bird would look over at the resting spiders with a bit of fear, but, understandingly nodded. [break][break] The Araquanid would let out a small growl from where she rested, and the ape would nod, translating. "She thanks the two particular trainers who saved her and promises to not attack nor eat you should you cross paths again. I'm unsure if that offer extends for the rest of you." He sounded amused as a large hand rubbed against his chin. The Araquanid was...an old 'friend' of his - a crafty one at heart. The fact that they managed to gain her favor was impressive. He could only assume their actions were being noted by them - and he could only hope it was in a favorable light. [break][break] "Take this moment to relax, humans. You said you had questions for me, did you not? I may not have answers, but, a deal is a deal."[break][break] After offering its egg up to be shared among its mother and siblings, the Dewpider from before would nervously creep forward. It looked as though it may have wanted a berry or two...? [attr="class","Vgentempheader"]EVENT MODERATION NOTE(S): - noelani palm 's Gyarados' Intimidate lowered the Dewpider's attack!
