Vash wandered into the building his heart pounding just a bit in his ears as adrenaline kicked in. He had no idea what to expect of the Gym Leader here. However, as a survivor of the fallen tower he knew of the previous Gym Leaders death. Rest his soul in peace.
He was pleasantly surprised to see children roaming the bottom floor with a ball. Looked like they were simply playing a game of pass. He paused watching them wishing he had had that growing up. His family had been much too strict and he had never gotten along with his sister.
"Do any of you know where the gym leader is," Vash asked interrupting them for but a moment.
"Upstairs, she's almost always up there," one boy responded pointing to the stairs along the one pillar.
"Thank you," Vash said giving him a smile before heading towards those stairs. He had to say this place while simple was rather nice. It didn't seem to just be any gym but a hub of the community. He had to wonder just how much gym leaders actually did. Even he was under the impression all they did was take challenges all day. There had to be more to it than that though if this place was any indication.
Vash stepped out only the arena his gaze going out over the railing to the floor below. The kids seemed to have stopped for the moment. Probably anticipating the idea of watching a battle. Not that they could probably see much from the ground floor when the arena was up here.
He took a moment to rest. Wondering why in the world they made the steps so. A test maybe? He couldn't be sure but it had taken a bit out of him even with all his hiking experience. His glance slowly wandered over the battlefield. There was nothing there to indicate type advantages or anything. So he had no idea what to expect.
Vash stepped across the pillar heading for the door. It was the only place that seemed out of place. They had to be behind it.

I look forward to the battle
