Route 40 was a coastal route and it left him with the choice of deciding whether it was a trip to the beach or a fishing one. He chose to believe the latter, not really wanting to think that Gym Leader was lonely enough to spend his time in a beach with him. If anything, he'll probably choose to swim with his dragons or something. With a fishing rod resting on his shoulder and a bag of snacks hanging on the other, Kyle checked his phone to see if he had been on the right place. The venue written on the text message was where he was at and the date and time seemed to be in order. He was told to be here by then. While he was on time, he wasn't sure if it was smarter to arrive a few minutes late to the agreed venue. His eyes were intently focused on the screen of the device on his hand, watching the seconds on the digital clock go by. With every passing moment, the urge to call Mateo rose. Kyle wasn't impatient by any means, though there was pretty much nothing to do as he waited. MADE BY NOVA

[attr="class","dfbase"] [attr="class","dftop"] [attr="class","dficon"] [attr="class","dfboxbase"] shark in the water [attr="class","dfbox"] "We're the marching dragon! Chomp, chomp, chomp! We're the mighty dragon! Roar, roar, roar! Breathing fire over here, fire over there! We're gonna eat you up! Snack, snack, snack!"And thus a dragon flake was crunched down upon. "So good!" Cried the voice of none other then the loud Gym Leader of Dragon Nest. For today's attire, ( you ready AERO, ya (DOLPHIN NOISES) ) he wore the following: A blue coat-like shirt with dual rolled sleeves where, upon the back, a star-like symbol could be seen. Underneath the blue top did he, too, possess an open white, V-collard shirt revealing the six-foot two-inch male's pectoral chest; a dragon tooth necklace could be seen worn around the collar area. Over his stomach was a red sash tied around the midsection of his stomach and waist, the tail of the sash draped toward the left. For bottom wear the male would, also, adorn a pair of white jeans. And, lastly, for footwear the Dragon Nest gym leader wore a pair of black sandals. He'd scream toward his gym trainer once he'd seen the male upon shore, "Hey, hey, idjit! Kyle, hey, Kyle!" The gym leader shouted exuberantly. They were upon the water route of Route 40 as they were sailing the great sea. But it wasn't until Mateo felt a bump upon the fisherman boat. It was due to the male who was steering, a newcomer he found upon his way here, that he was about ready to tear the poor lad's head off. "What the hell?! Oi, idjit!?" He called toward Ares Caelan , "You get a scratch on my fisherman boat and I scratch you, got it?! Who taught you how to drive--I almost dropped my Dragon Flakes! These are hard to come by if you're not in Fusube, okay?! You don't want to owe me, I charge interest per second!" He yelled at the male while, simultaneously, stomping upon the cockpit. But quickly his attitude would change once they were to stop upon the moving tides. "Hey, hey, hey! You've been waiting for awhile, but here's your surprise! I got us a boat, it's a Skipjack Boat!" This boat, though small, was big enough to fit four people. And, had Kyle been able to see through the glass, he could see that there was an unfamiliar face driving. "Don't worry, I'm paying him. Come out and say, hi, Ares!" He called the male from inside. While waiting for him to come out, he'd jump down from the cockpit and onto the sandy shore. The black, plastic bag of chips in his right hand having yet to spill a single flake. "Want some?" He offered to his gym trainer. *Crunch* *Crunch* *Crunch* These were the only things that were able to be heard over the groaning rumble of the boats engine. Surprisingly the sea's were not particularly choppy considering that people were still able to enjoy a refreshing swim, but the waves that did occur one would definately know about it. Unfortunately both Mateo Martinez and Ares learned the hard way, especially Ares. With driving the boat through relatively shallow water surrounded by a rock formation creating a natural semi rock pool; the gap that was present in the rock pool lead towards the great ocean on towards route 41.
Sadly though Ares was getting his head bitten off by Mateo as per usual. How had he managed to get himself into a such a position where he was only recently being taught to captain a boat and then get told off about scratches. Thankfullythough Mateo's aggressive monologue was short lived once Ares had stopped the boat in the desired location to pick up one last individual. The dragon gym leaders enthusiasm about this Kyle Lee fellow was kinda weird since to Ares there was only one side of the lad he had seen so far; grumpy, aggressive and verbally abusive.
With the young looking skipper Kyle boarding the boat, Ares was presented with two options at the moment Mateo instructed him to greet this lad. Either introduce himself or insult Mateo. The latter was oh so very much tempting for Ares, especially with just a quick whip of the middle finger from inside the cockpit signally a fairly cheeky 'fuck you.' But for the his safety, physically and verbally he played along.
Waving to the lad from inside the cockpit, he cracked open a window and introduced him. "Nice to meet ya, I'm Ares n you are?" Although he could gather want the skippers name was from Mateo's 'Kyle, Kyle, Hey Kyle' exclamations. It was better safe than sorry to ask.

[googlefont=Roboto Condensed] The iconic greeting got Kyle to finally look up from his phone. He supposed he wasn't surprised to see Mateo with a boat when he told him to meet him by the beach, though he did not expect him to really rent (own?) one and bringing it straight to him instead of the other way around. Shrugging off the specifics, he returned a wave back at the Gym Leader's greeting, albeit without the enthusiastic shouts. "Ah, shit, a boat. I'm excited." Words were told in a neutral tone, though the way he stared at it betrayed the apathy of his words. "What are we... we're going fishing, right?"A bored expression was eventually replaced with an interested one upon asking the question, smiling lightly at the sight of the boat before turning to the driver. "I, uh, it's Kyle," he shouted back. "Nice to meet you too!"Turning back to Mateo, the sight of the chips being offered brought Kyle to lick his lips before sinking his hand deep into the bag and grabbing a piece. "Did he not, uh, hear you shouting my name?" he asked in a lower volume this time and giving Ares the benefit of the doubt, chewing the snack he had never seen before and savoring the taste before he made a judgement of it. The snack tasted great though. "I like this. Tell me where I can get some of these later."Wasting no time to climb aboard with the fishing rod still slung back over his shoulder, he motioned to Mateo to go back to the boat since he did jump out. "Let's go. Let's go. I want to see where you'll be taking me." The Whirl Islands maybe? Without a reliable Water-type, he dared not to visit the place. Maybe they'll go fishing for a Lugia or something. MADE BY NOVA
