their plan comes to fruition. it truly was a water pokemon, a poliwhirl to be exact. luckily, victor's familiar with the pokemon. he also knows it's a pain in the ass. all the tools it has available bring a stop to shitter's aggression. the match up is skewered one way, but victor won't admit defeat. that's what training is for.

"STONE EDGE."

they attack from afar. shards of broken stone erupt from underneath. it only takes the faintest STOMP to send the FISSURE forward, knocking the poliwhirl up. the impact doesn't last long. in mid-air, the amphibian pokemon can respond quite well, reciprocating the tactic with a stream of BUBBLE BEAM. as slow as they are, shitter cannot avoid them, feeling the feathery bombardment soak his armor. he cries out in pain from the attack, shrieking back, afraid of pain.

"it won't stop until you make it."

encouragement won't push shitter forward. cruel, harsh reality will force the pokemon to. shitter's hesitation, grants the opponent ample time to follow up with a MUD SHOT. the moist earth that was saturated by poliwhirl's earlier attack pelt rhyhorn's eyes, it makes it harder for shitter to see, causing the pokemon to blink repeatedly.

"EARTHQUAKE," is the only solution. the attacks area of effect discriminates against none. it's a solid counter to being blinded. shitter causes the world to tremble and so does poliwhirl. it's enough to throw off the pokemon's balance and grant shitter a chance to grab his bearings. "take it down now!" a frontal charge is their best bet. putting everything on the line to overpower the pokemon with brute strength is their final play. and, unsurprisingly, it works. shitter rams into the pokemon and sends it flying. not too bad for a rigged match, right?

victor allows shitter to rest. it'll be a while before the next bite.

it takes a while for the next one. enough so that rhyhorn gets a decent rest. the fatigue from earlier starts to subside. dewgong brings an abrupt end from shitter's nap. this time, shitter knows better. he takes the initiative. he takes dewgong for a round.

"good job," comes rare praise. but no one's perfect. "keep away from the mouth and horn." victor reminds the rhyhorn. it's obvious that's where the attacks will come from. unfortunately, shitter's two shits too dumb to follow. attack, run away, that's the extent of how much rhyhorn can execute. that's why he's a shitter.

AQUA JET meets STONE EDGE. ICY WIND gets disrupted by EARTHQUAKE. victor watches the two pokemon struggle, scuffle, but rhyhorn doesn't give up. dewgong is the sturdy but lack the brute punch needed to snuff rhyhorn from getting back up. the same can't be said for shitter. it's a mass of muscle and stone, much more durable than some THICK FAT.

it only takes one good HORN DRILL to end it. dewgong ends up bleeding all over the place, wailing as it escapes back into the water. once there, rhyhorn can't give chace. gives the pokemon ample time to set up an AQUA RING, a good road to recovery as it leaves with a fat juicy L.

victor's stated. progress is slow but it is there. shitter's grown into something more. it's still dumb, yes, but there's a calculated aggression. BULLDOZE through anything in the way until you're unable to. that's the mindset he wants, it's the one he needs. pokemon are one a million and victor needs them to be disposable. faith and friendship are the threads he uses to ensure they'll die for him.

you only live once. but pokemon, they're forever. that's why victor has no qualms with letting them take one for team lee.

the last pokemon is an oddball. there's something wrong with it. just by the way it waddles, victor can tell it's special - and not in a good way. it reminds him of cila. a friend long forgotten, who left him to rot. but he doesn't hold any grudges. she doesn't know better. that's the type of person she is - dumb to a fault. instead, victor feels his regret. without him, she's probably doing terrible. wouldn't be surprising if she derped off the face of the earth. not literally, of course. more likely than not, she just wandered off, lost in the dirty jungle, left to fend for herself away from the civility of man.

"you know what to do."

shitter's a little tired. the fatigue is evident by the way it slugs around. but against the golduck personification of cila? shitter's got this in the bag. easily so. from deep down, shitter POUNDs cila hard. it's enough to make it quack. enough to make it groan. the sound excited the rhyhorn, a cry that let's him know he's doing a good job.

the rest of the battle is brutal. cila doesn't stand a chance. it almost pains victor to see cila take such a thrashing. cila can't handle it. cila's panting, gasping for air, unable to stomach shitter's vicious vigor. any more and cila just might explode. and not in a good way.

well...

depends how you ask.

one last thrust is all it takes to penetrate the golduck, leaving a gaping hole. victor admires the handiwork, astounded by just how badly cila's been punished. how nasty. and, as if to deny the whole event, cila pretends to have AMNESIA. but we, the audience, knows what happens. try as cila might, there's no denying it.




once all is said and done, victor parts ways. his job is done. there's no point in humoring anyone else. he's already taken care of the only one that matters.
